Still not impressed but willing to go the extra mile and try the last book and finally get a glimpse of how the author finishes the whole pentalogy.
It might be worth it so I'll hold on recommending the two last books until I'm thoroughly satisfied with the ending in book V.

Action all the way in this dystopian sci-fi. Some interesting characters both Avant and human together with some out of this world horrors.
It clearly demonstrates man's inhumanity to man as each group works to save themselves with no regard for other ethnic groups. Makes you think more intensely of our current situations as passing mention is made of them.
There is certainly potential for a follow up which I will be reading should it materialize.
Even if you haven't read any others in the series this one could be read as a standalone.
