I loved how diverse this book was. It is a collection of love stories based on songs and there is a least one story everyone can relate to. I felt connected to these characters and that isn't an easy thing to do with a short story. I was cheering these characters on and willing them to find their person. I was happy when they did and felt sad and sorry for them when they didn't.

I appreciated that tough subject matter was dealt with while at the same time being romantic and holding the Christmas magic, that's not easy to do well. As we are all busy during this hectic holiday time, it was nice to be able to read a story or two at a time and put the book down when a story was completed, that's the best thing about a book of short stories, you feel complete even though the entire book hasn't been finished

This is the second book in the collection, I have not read the first (More Than Mistletoe) but fully intend to do so. This is definitely a stand-alone as I said it is a collection of short stories and a very good collection at that.

I would like to thank my Secret Santa for this wonderful book. It was so very festive and a lovely gift.

First, I want to thank Jenny Bromham, Marianne Calver, Blaithin O’Reilly Murphy, Karl King, Cici Maxwell, Hayley-Jennifer Brennan, Donna Gowland, S.L. Robinson, Sarah Shard, Joe Burkett, Helen Hawkins, Michelle Harris and Rachel’s Random Resources for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Ohh it is not even Halloween yet but thanks to these 12 talented authors that wrote The Mistletoe Mixtape Anthology it feels a little more like Christmas. I was so scared that by reading this book that it would jinx the bad WNY weather but luckily it is still in the upper 60’s. For the record I may love Christmas movies, music, books and family time but I HATE the snow and cold!!

Sarah Shard did an exquisite job on the cover for the book! I love how festive it looked with the Mixtape logo on it as well. It definitely caught my attention.

This Anthology is dedicated to all those out there over the world who love Christmas!

I absolutely loved the name of this anthology for many reasons. Growing up in the 80’s who didn’t remember making mixtapes of their own collection of their favorite music. You would always get a little bit of everything! Well this same concept is true for this book! You have 12 very talented authors that share their short stories with you. They will make you smile, pull on your heart strings, and most of all make you believe in Christmas!

This is the second anthology in The Mistletoe Mixtape Christmas Collective. I had not had the honor to read the first one. However, I did learn some extremely interesting facts on how these two books came to be!

In between each story there are cute little pictures that will make you smile ear to ear. Whoever did the graphics is so talented.

All 12 short stories were good but for me I personally connected with 5 of them. Each of these 5 put a smile on my face, pulled on my heart strings, made me tear up, and could relate to the characters. These stories kept my interest from start to end and most of the time wanting more. These stories were Jenny Bromham’s A Winter’s Tale, Marianne Calver’s White Christmas, Blaithin O’Reilly Murphy Sausage Rolls for Everyone, Sarah Shard’s Stay Another Day, and Helen Hawkins Santa Baby.

I tend to only read Christmas books in December but when I got the invite for this blog tour, I just had to read it and that's how I ended up reading a Christmas book in October.

When I think of Christmas stories, I think of wholesome cute lighthearted stories. That's what I expect from my Christmas stories. While we get HEAs in each of the stories they all pretty much deal with some hard topics as well such as divorce or death to name a few. Despite this I still really enjoyed all of the stories in this collection. They are all festive and cute. Of course, there were some I enjoyed more than others, but I didn't dislike any of the stories which for me is a big thing because there are always some that don't work for me when I read short stories. I never felt like I was missing part of the story.

If you want a cute festive collection of stories that touch on harder topic but still end happily, I would definitely recommend giving this one a go.

These short stories were perfect to dip in and out over the festive period. I couldn't wait to cosy up with a hot chocolate, and escape into these delightful stories.
Romance and Christmas. Perfection

After loving their first anthology, More than Mistletoe I couldn't wait to find what new festive treats were in store. These authors all bring something different. There is something here for everyone. Whilst these are Christmas stories, romance is at its heart. I couldn't possibly choose a favourite, I loved them all for different reasons.

I also loved how each title is a Christmas song, I couldn't help but sing along. The attention to detail just brings everything together perfectly.

A romantic, festive treat.
I couldn't help but smile.

I can't wait to see what 2023 brings for these authors, and hope to read much more.

I love a good anthology and this didn't disappoint whatsoever. Twelve stories of varying lengths which I spread over the day.

There wasn't one story that I disliked, my favourites were Stay Another Day and Santa Baby. All very well written, with some new authors whose works I will be checking out.

The stories were fun, festive and guaranteed to get you in the spirit of everything Christmas. Throughout the characters are wonderful, realistic and oh so swoonsome.

The Mistletoe Mixtape is a gorgeous collection of cosy Christmas romances.

Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.

I love anthologies. You get your escapism in either bite-sized chunks or you can demolish the whole thing in a single sitting, and both are equally valid ways to enjoy the experience. Now, I’m not one for mixing my holidays, I like the orderly Halloween- Thanksgiving- Christmas progression. However! I missed out on last year’s Christmas Collective book and I wasn’t going to be left out this year. Also, this year’s theme…a Christmas mixtape? I had to read this soonest!

The premise is simple enough, twelve stories, based on well known Christmas songs. The delight in this particular mix-tape is how each author took that idea and created something beautiful, unique and utterly perfect for the season! Some songs are harder than others to tease out their meaning, but regardless, I can guarantee that you will find an old favorite wrapped in shiny new packaging and ready to be enjoyed anew. In The Mistletoe Mixtape I found all the emotions that make Christmastime wonderful, regardless of how you celebrate. There’s love, loss, wonder, excitement, fear, and friendship; all waiting for you to open the pages and dive in.

I had a few favorite stories, being particularly fond of Bláithín O’Reilly Murphy’s Sausage Rolls for Everyone, Hayley-Jenifer Brennan’s Under the Mistletoe, and Joe Burkett’s Wrapped in Red. I have a feeling this lovely anthology is going to end up under a good many trees this winter, the stories are too good not to share!

If you’re short on time but desperately wanting to get into the festive mood then this short story collection is perfect for you. The Mistletoe Mixtape is made up of 12 short stories (about 15 minutes to read) all with a festive song as the title and themed around Christmas. They’ve been perfect this week as I have been really busy and needed something I could pick up for short periods.
From the cover, to the contents this book just oozes festive vibes. The cover is so pretty and the green really makes it pop. I love how each story is titled after a Christmas song and I found myself singing the tune in my head whilst reading. I’m still humming Winter’s Tale!
All the stories are entertaining and the characters really do become familiar and loveable in a short space of time. The stories are so cosy, romantic and fun and I was sad when they ended as I wanted more form the characters.
I always think that writing short stories is a very difficult skill – knowing just how much to give the reader vin a short space and The Christmas Collective of writers have done a perfect job of these.
A fabulously festive collection of stories guaranteed to get you in the Christmas mood.

This is a delightful book by twelve authors each set around the festive period and the second of this kind.A collection of short stories each a few pages long easily enjoyed over a coffee or two. There's something for everyone and it's nice to have a read that you can dip in and out of through the season or the lead up to Christmas to feel the spirit. Each one left me with a thought and a smile. From vegetarian sausage rolls to homecomings and more. Carol of the Bells is truly magical and one I may read again on Christmas eve- who doesn’t love a story about Father Christmas? A delightful gift for before the big day.

This festive themed book contains 12 stories so there's plenty of variety for every type of reader.

I've read another collection by The Christmas Collective and I enjoyed that one, so I knew I'd like this just as much.

I think these short stories are a great way to feel festive and you can come into them at any time, even for a quick hot chocolate break.

I found this anthology of 12 Christmas themed stories all very different but all heartwarming and easy to read. Some had a very definite ending whereas others you could start to imagine what happened next. Being short stories I found this easy to dip in and out of.

When I received an invite for this, I thought it sounded wonderful, an anthology of Christmas short stories. All the stories were original and the entire collection had a cosy, relaxing yet very realistic vibe.

Thanks to The Christmas Collective and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
