This is the third and final book in the series and must be read in order. Blurb contains spoilers for the previous two books!
Aphrodite, Ares, Apollo, Hermes and Hephaestus continue their search for answers by revisiting their pasts.
*This is a medium burn, paranormal, reverse harem. The story changes POVs between the main character and her men. It is intended for 17+. This book is 30,000 words.*
The storyline itself was kinda okay... In the way where you wanted to find out more.. The execution though was really stiff. Then there was little moments where we got tiny morsels of the guys past and their personalities but not really enough to connect with. Then the Fmc we don't really know anything bout her except a couple things but not enough to connect a crap load of dots that were left scattered around. In the end there were so many unanswered questions and thread lines that were just left floating in the wind that it bothered me enough to drop a star. It was good enough to finish reading but irritating all in the same breath. More of a meh then anything really.
Interesting take on the Greek gods but there is no reason that this should have been broken up into three parts. It's okay but it takes a huge leap of faith - all of these characters get powers at 21, are named after Greek gods yet somehow can't figure out they're not human?!! But the writing wasn't terrible, there were multiple POVs and it wasn't painful to finish. The author has potential and I'd look at future books
I really liked Brickstone University series. That's the reason I tried this one. I don't usually leave a review but this one doesn't compare. I like more story and I felt thrown into a world that just was and with no understanding .
I’m very pleased with the way this story ended. I wish there was more as I was not ready to let go of the characters! They found themselves and who they were meant to be. In the end they found their truth and the love they were all born to share.
I love D.M. Page's other series Brickstone University and The Alpha Team, but this series just wasn't quite there. I feel like the story has so much potential, but the ending was just like wham bam thank you, ma'am.
The ending confused me they were small books I love Greek mythology and rh so I just really wanted a better ending even though it was happy it's unfulfilling
