Fans of Dan Brown, Clive Cussler, and Indiana Jones will love this fast-paced, action-packed, globe-trotting adventure. And don't forget to check out the other Rex Fletcher novel, The Crusade for Vengeance.
Even better the second time around! I remembered the basic outline of the book and most of the characters, especially the main characters from The Crusade for Vengeance. I didn’t remember the ending at all so I was just as shocked this time as the first. Probably more so because I was like “shouldn’t I have remembered that?” I will say that it took until the introduction of Xavier in Chapter 13 for me to feel that the book got it’s footing. It seemed a bit uneven until then. I think the amount of action is what threw me. I’m a sucker for a good ending and I definitely did not remember the author’s note on the historical accuracy or lack thereof. That was a great addition as my knowledge of ancient history is non-existent. Looking forward to book 3 :)
A wild romp with some wild characters through countries with rich history. Some formidable foes, some hare-brained schemes, and last minute saves on land, underground, and underwater. I didn’t want to put it down.
