Have you ever experienced a grief so deep that you knew it would forever change you?
People often misunderstand grief, even as they are walking through it. Many people wrongly assume that the objective during grief is to eventually “get over it.”
But what if we have that objective wrong? What if instead of telling you to get over it, God wants to walk with you through it? What if He desires to perform a work of grace in your life that brings comfort, Christlikeness, healing, and greater intimacy with Him?
In these pages, Pastor Bill Prater shares from his own experience of losing his adult son in an accident and how God’s grace is sufficient—enough—to lead you through grief and loss.
An excellent short book on dealing with grief from a man who has experienced both incredible personal tragedy and the depths of God's abundant grace! This is now my go-to resource to give away to those struggling with loss. It's short and easy to read, but so helpful and wise. Highly recommended!
Just a side bar, I met my goal of completing 20 books this calendar year! In 2025 I plan on increasing my goal, just not certain at this time “how many”.
Truly, reading books is not about quantity but about quality. I had read, “Readers are leaders”
This book was no exception. Written by an author who personally dealt with his own loss, he used Scripture to lead others to their healing.
I have worked for a hospice as a chaplain for the past ten years. This book will certainly be a good reference.
