Had potential
I had high hopes for this series. But quickly found that the series lacked good writing. It was choppy and felt forced, awkward. It had potential but I just couldn’t get past the style of writing. When I start a book I always Finnish it no matter how disappointing it is. Until now, I just couldn’t finish.

I have read and reviewed these books individually and loved every single one. If you haven't read them yet, this box set is a great way to begin the K19 Security Solutions Series
Razor:
Since the day they met Tabon 'Razor' Sharp and Avarie 'Ava' McNamara have wanted each other, things didn't happen that first night because Razor was on duty protecting Quinn. Now it's Quinn and Mercer's wedding and Razor has the desire to see if the same heat is between them as it was a year ago.
That whole scenario gets shot down when he finds he is going to have to become her bodyguard. The reasons for the protection are complex from the start. First though Razor needs to convince Ava to move in with him.
Now there's something Ava can do that will become very disconcerting to Razor. She can tell when he's lying, and she really hates when he keeps things from her. The way he knows she's mad at him is she calls him Razor instead of Tabon.
I loved meeting Razor's family and more of the guys, some not yet K19 but will be offered spots. It also looks like Razor's sister has her eye on one of them. Oh and the whales, lots of whales visible from his home on the Oregon coast.
Intrigue, suspense and drama as things heat up in the case that Ava is a witness in. Razor breaks a lot of rules when it comes to Ava because he is in love with her.
Hold your breath action, tears, laughter, romance and sizzle will have you turning the pages to see what happens next.
Gunner:
I have to say when the guys of K19 fall in love it's not easy by any definition.
Gunner knew Zaryana 'Raketa' Ivashov was the one for him when she didn't shoot him on a mission. She works for United Russia and wants to defect. She couldn't carry out her last mission, so returning would be suicide.
While helping protect Razor's now wife Ava she ended up kidnapped by Petrov. Now Gunner needs to find her as well as get the five million dollar bounty off her head.
Once Gunner has her he takes her into protection on his island. It's here we get insight into Raketa's life.
So many twists and turns as K19 works to figure out who the woman was Raketa saw and what her real relationship to Petrov is.
Edge of your seat suspense, hold your breath action and lots sizzle make this a page turning read.
Mistletoe:
I have fallen in love with this series. I started it out of order and going back has given me insight into the other major characters. In this book we peek into the holidays and as with most families there are some conflicts and some romance and surprises as well.
Gunner, Zary, Razor and Ava are hosting these holidays and their town houses are rapidly filling. So the Inn nearby is also filling with the K19 Crew. So lets see who's all there, we have Aine and Striker (surprise Gunner), Monk and Saylor, Saylor's girls, Odette, Gunner's Mom Madeline, Zary's Mom Svelana, Ava and Aine's Mom Peggy, Onyx, Topar and finally Aine's friends Pen and Tara. At least I think I have everyone covered.
Most of the conflict surrounds Mantis, Dutch and Alegria, and the others all contribute to the happy.
Alegria is recovering from surgery, and even though Mantis is right there beside her, when she sees Dutch she reaches for him. Now the friendship between Mantis and Dutch is in jeopardy.
Unbeknownst to Razor, Gunner has invited Mantis for the holiday festivities. So with Alegria and Dutch coming at Razor's invite you know things will get interesting.
A mission gone wrong, and many surprises fill this book with page turning fun and action. With a side story about puppies that will have you sniffling.
Mantis:
What a tangled up mess this is, Manon aka Alegria is torn. Originally from France she was accepted to United States Air Force Academy where she met Mantis and Dutch. Her decision to stay in the US was the offer of fighter pilot training and her love of Mantis. Although circumstances had them more apart than together and then Mantis chose a mission over time with her. That was their end.
Now with Alegria still recuperating from a bullet wound in her back, Mantis has been held captive in Somalia. Dutch her current 'boyfriend', K19 partner and one of Mantis' best friends is tasked with retrieving him and the others with him.
Dutch knows he can't stay with Alegria, she is still very much in love with Mantis. The question is can Mantis and Alegria get over the past and work toward a future.
Dutch is leaving for California to meet up with Doc about another assignment.
We get a look at the past when Dutch, Mantis and Alegria were at the Air Force Academy. But Alegria going with Mantis to his family is a turning point. Her injury and rehabilitation and whether she will be able to fly again all contribute to the emotions in this book.
These two are meant to be together. You will laugh, cry, want to throw the book across the room (but you won't). The highs, the lows, secrets and everything in between is covered in this book including the sizzle between them.

book 1 Razor:
I listened to the invincibles awhile ago and really enjoyed the team, their missions and their women.
i hoped this series would hold up. The plotline was good, the pace and the steam kept you turning pages and I enjoyed the suspense although it was fairly moderate.
I guess I shouldn't have listened to this right after Kris Michaels and her new book Andrew as her writing is really different and more in depth.
With Heather, I find her military ops great and cleverly put together but the romance side gets a little quick, a little soppy and in some places cliche.
however there is always a HEA so the trope has to be the obvious.
I always love Stephanie's narration especially in the other series of Heather's, however I'm finding she's a tad less noticeable with her tone and inflections, with book 1.
book 2.
this was a lot more intense with lots of action. The trust issues see-sawed between gunner and rakita made me almost want to scream
it went on and on. I see gunners character Is quicker a direct with no tiptoeing around anything.
another alpha bites the dust and more to come....steam was hot hot and hot. but the HEA always brings them together and then some. very Intricate plot and the eastern names were confusing. I had to keep my mind on the game.
the basic western culture that rakita had to adjust to made me smile. it was great to hear old characters. although the invincibles don't pop up here and I know them really well.
so K19 was new. I see other books by Heather that link them unfortunately aren't on audible.
Stephanie is bloody awesome. her accents are brilliant and brings the characters to life.
book 3.
mistletoe sounded like a fun xmas get together...not at all!
this includes the K19 alphas and their women and how they move along in daily life approaching xmas and a mission that threatens the happy day. it also ties up some loose ends from gunner (book 2) and opens up another can of worms. I can't quite figure the way 2 besties still can go on missions having to trust eachother whenvthry both live the same woman. And Alegria...grrr I just want to slap...not keen on her using and abusing love, trust and loyalty. I think she's too fickle for mantis. not to mention she's a bloody pilot that goes on missions just like mantis!!! this will come out in book 4 no doubt.
Stephanie is exceptional. her accents are brilliant.

Nope I still don't like Alegria..she's selfish and hypocritical..right off the bat i thought, can I listen to this book?
Then Mantis turns out to be a bit of an ass as well. after convincing us he had to get used to being the third wheel with Dutch and Alegria, in the beginning, which I'm putting it down to, at the time their immaturity even though they were flyboy/,girl smart. And now he's decided he's going to get her back...more fickle than an alpha man should be.
I'm not liking this romantic side at all. Even now as they're older Alegria is still making him choose.
I don't get Heather's thoughts here.
I think Dutch is the bigger of the 3, that was till he let it slip that he did the same as Mantis with another woman.
I enjoy the black ops side of books And it took a while to finally get to listen to that. There is a lot of back story in this book And it reads like a Hometown And it reads like a Romance.
There is still lots of steam and action and a big happy ever after

Excellent Series including Hot Romance, Hella plot twists, Action packed, Individual HEAs every book, NO cliffhangers, however reading the whole series gives better background and insight to the whole team. Review per book:
RAZOR Book #1 These guys are the total alpha package. 💚💙
The suspense and intrigue behind these romances just keeps getting more intense for some very fine, very human superheroes.
The romance was beautiful, even with all the drama surrounding them. I laughed several times at their witty bantor, held my breath at some very dicey times and of course let out the biggest happy sigh at the end for Tabon and Avarie. Not a cliffhanger, but there is more to come.
Brilliant writing Ms Slade, just enough of everything to keep me wanting more
GUNNER Book #2 A Sexy Edgy Romance💚💙
I love the K19 Series and can't say enough good about each book.
Gunner is all alpha, has a heart, but a few demons lurk inside from what he's done and seen. He's a born protector and killer when necessary.
Raketa is also alpha, with a heart that has a wall around it for self preservation. Trained for UR as their Op, she wants out now, and wants Gunner to help.
These two together are so hot, so hot headed, and not at all sure if love even works or fits in their lives.
Gunner and Raketa give you ALL the emotions as they explore their connection, stay alive and get the bounty off her head. Not so simple, when you don't know your past or who to trust anymore.
Each book is stand alone with a feel good ending. The back story however, will keep you wanting more and more.
Ms Slade, you again took me on a journey that had me lost to reality.
MISTLETOE Book #3 An all inclusive K19 Holiday Season💚💙
Loved it! Brought most of the K19 family back together so we could see all the guys with their loves, their families. Their interactions, mostly happy and quite funny, with a ton of emotions.
I want to say this journey is about Aine and Striker. They fell fast and hard, but thru a long distance relationship, now they finally get together, then Striker gets the call.
With so many characters together for the holidays, it encompasses more than just one couple and I totally enjoyed all the catching up.
It also brings us the triangular mess of Mantis, (next book) Alegria and Dutch which now has me waiting impatiently for their story, esp since Mantis is MIA.
Just a great series all the way with twists and turns, romances, action. Each book can be read alone with an HEA, but I think you'll want the whole series.
MANTIS Book #4 Awesome Action Romance💚💙
OMG, you did it again! I loved Mantis. I started reading it and honestly before I knew it, I was at the end and Happy Crying. That was SO sweet. The action, the characters brought in and just everything. You did just enough background explanation for anyone new, which was great for me also.

Razor
4 1/2 stars!
First, let me say that this is a cliffhanger. Second, Razor is a freaking great book! The author has created strong characters and the plot is both intricate and suspenseful. The story is not rushed. There are kidnappings, murder and nonstop action. It is entertaining and has the reader sitting on the edge of your seat. There are many twists to this story and even though the book ended with a HFN, I was disappointed that the loose ends were not tied up. You will need to read the next book to continue the story.
GUNNER is the second book in the K19 series by Heather Slade. It is a story of love, defection, double agents and intrigue. It is a standalone book; however, the story would be more enhanced by reading Razer first. There are many threads to this story and Ms. Slade manages to tie them together in a tightly knit fashion. While it is fiction, the plot is filled with many agencies that are the enforcers of the world: MI6, CIA, the equivalent of the KGB, just to name a few. Well written and romantic without graphic sex! 5 stars all the way!

I have read Heather Slade's K19 series and enjoyed each exceptional book. But this one is the best of the best! Although the story of Mantis, Allegria and Dutch began in previous books, this one can be read as a stand-alone. The author writes enough history of the characters that the plot is never muddied. Two men in love with one woman, throw in a kidnapping or two, secret military operations and the instability of the Middle East, and you have a plot with so many twists and turns that you will not see the end coming. Ms. Slade writes an excellent military romance with plenty meat to sink your teeth into, yet she weaves enough suspense and romance to keep the reader intrigued. In case you can't tell: I LOVED IT!

First, let me say that this is a cliffhanger. Second, Razor is a freaking great book! The author has created strong characters and the plot is both intricate and suspenseful. The story is not rushed. There are kidnappings, murder and nonstop action. It is entertaining and has the reader sitting on the edge of your seat. There are many twists to this story and even though the book ended with a HFN, I was disappointed that the loose ends were not tied up. You will need to read the next book to continue the story.

A wonderful first book to this series, involving all the K19 organizations, plus others, trying to find a way to take down a human trafficking ring. I love Ares from the US and Nemesis from the UK working together, finding the attraction between them is an all-time high for both of them. This story is full of mystery, suspense and chuckles. All is not solved in this book, but I am looking forward to the next one in this series. Heather Slade has a knack for keeping you reading and reading without stopping.

Ava is a witness against extremely dangerous people—people that will do anything to see her silenced. If you like stories with action, romance, and intrigue, you might enjoy this book.
“Gunner” is about danger, secrets, and spies. They should be enemies, but when it came time to kill him, she could not do it. Now, it is ten years later, and she wants out of the game of espionage. Can she trust him? After all, they are supposed to be enemies. As Gunner and Raketa navigate a web of secrets and spies, their hearts get involved. This story is full of action, suspense, and romance. Sometimes, it is hard to keep up with the details, but I still enjoyed the book. If you like romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat, you might appreciate this story.

In Book 2, Gunner Raketa were enemies for years, but he helps he get out of the KGB and United Russia puts a high price on her head. In return, Gunner wants her help taking out criminal mastermind Petrov. Raketa, who was an orphan, discovers that her parents are actually alive and who they are. There are many suspenseful moments in this book as Gunner works to protects Raketa against UR and Petrov while finding a way to be with her forever.
In Book 3, The K19 operatives and their significant others are back together again to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with their loved ones, but it's not without secret missions and plenty of drama.
In Book 4, there was plenty of suspenseful action as injured Alegria is involved in a car accident and can't feel her legs, Dutch is kidnapped, and later Alegria is too. I didn't like how Alegria played both Mantis and Dutch. Yes, she and Mantis broke up, but she shouldn't have gotten involved with his best friend right afterwards. And Dutch shouldn't have gone after his best friend's vulnerable hurting ex-girlfriend.
There was plenty of suspense and sexy romance in these spin offs to the Butler Ranch series.

Heather Slade is knocking it out of the park with the K19 Security Solutions partners. She has definitely perfected my favorite type of hero. The scenes between Razor and Ava are written so perfectly that I had to reread some of them.
Gunner:
Gunner and Raketa's story was so good! I loved not knowing which of the characters in the story could be trusted, and I was surprised by the twist at the end. This is an awesome series! I am intrigued by Monk, and I really hope he gets his own story.
Mistletoe:
I loved getting updates on all of the K19 couples & having a glimpse into the developing relationship between Aine and one of the K19 guys. I am eagerly awaiting Mantis! I can't wait to see how everything works out with Alegria. I also look forward to learning more about Tackle & Halo. This series is so good!!
Mantis:
This love story is different than the others in the series because two members of the K19 team are in love with the same woman. Inevitably, either Mantis or Dutch will be left heartbroken. Good series!
I enjoyed this series. Great characters & chemistry. The narration was fantastic. I especially enjoyed Stephanie Nemeth Parker’s Russian & French accents. I thought narrators performed very well.
Book 3 was very busy with all the couples gathering for the holidays. It was fun but also a lot going on.
I’m not sure how I felt about book 4. I feel like there were too many things left unsaid or unanswered even though it has an HEA.
These were books 1-4 with an HEA and each can be read as a standalone.

If you love action and suspense you should really check out Heather Slade and this is a great way to do it. I had to wait for each book to come out the first time I read them but now they can be read back to back and for a great price :)
This series has a little bit of everything, each book contains a love story with a lot of mystery, intrigue, heroes and villains. Ms Slade keeps you on your toes with trying to guess what is going to happen next.

Good boxed set!
The first story was the best. Then there was too going back and forth in an attempt to provide background info. It felt too disjointed while that was going on. There was some of that throughout. Otherwise the stories were good...filled with intense intrigue and suspense with just enough romance.

What a ride these hero's provide. Strong, dedicated to save and. support each other, great all as family, willing to bare emotions to the love of their !I've before a HEA. Falling a bit in love with each one, crying those years when they struggle a d then joy at each win. Loved them all.

I can’t (will have spoilers)
I was hoping that this series would be a great read. I haven’t figured out why yet but I didn’t like any of the characters as of yet. I was getting whiplash from Razor with his mixed signals. How do you stop someone else from being disrespectful to Ava and then turn around and do the same thing to her yourself. That’s where I had to stop reading.

Excellent!!
I couldn't stop reading this collection. The stories draw you in. I found myself turning pages late into the night. If you love alpha me who love their women and strong intelligent independent woman you'll enjoy these books. Heather Slade is definitely on my favorite authors list.

This was a good box set. I loved the hot and steamy love scenes. I also like the suspense that each book had. Each guy knew what woman was his right off the bat and the women were smart and sassy. I like that also. I am going to have to check out the other stories. Thank you I enjoyed all these stories.

K19 Security Solutions Team One Boxed Set.
Quite a good read, though at times, it could be a bit confusing. Trying to keep all the characters straight along with who was in a mission with who, did make it a bit harder to keep up, especially when their real names kept "popping" up.

When I started reading this I realized I didn’t do this is what should have been the actual reading order but that’s okay! This box set with 4 books in it was more than I expected. I didn’t realize these stories would make me feel the way I did. I am not a very picky romance reader and these made me tear up and freak out more than I could count. I know some of these stories are not finished yet but glad I got a small taste of what is to come. Since there are two more books included with Team One, I will definitely need to order and read them soon 🫶🏻

Good box set
This is a great read. It revolves around an elite group who work under a lot of different agencies. They go in and get the job done when the danger is at the most. A brilliant read that has you gripped.

A nice set of action adventure romances, with secret agents fighting evil and getting their girl or guy.
These stories can be read alone or as a series, and I found it hard to put them down before I was finished. I did see the occasional typo, but in general very clean writing.

I enjoyed this first 4 books of the series, they are fast paced with varied and intriguing plots. There were one or two editing issues and a little repetition, however overall they are am engaging and interesting read. I will definitely be reading more of the series.
