Once again we are in Nowhere. Jax has stayed. The Council have browbeaten Nissa onto it. Jeremiah and Veronica weren’t there when she needed them, why should she help them? Nissa and Jax failed to save Blake from Hell and the guilt she feels is almost unbearable. I thought she drank a lot before! Ha!
I really hate Jeremiah. Nissa thinks she outwitted the Council but Jeremiah flips the script. Jeremiah does things that make my stomach hurt and wish I could jump into the book and beat him with a bat. Poor Nissa is a trouble magnet. I love her Aunt M and the bar. Vinnie the bar tender shows a new side to him in the book. Jax is awesome. I loved him from the moment he was introduced.
We find so much that explains so much about Nissa’s parents. Mind blown! So much happens in the book! It is my favorite one. Can’t wait for the next one!.

Nissa and Jax team up in this book to defeat Jeremiah.
You have to love Nissa. She is such a hot mess. Battling her entire life just to stay on an even keel. Despite every awful thing and experience that is thrown at her she still comes up fighting.
Jax is a bit of a mystery. A hot demon with a murky past but appearing to be on team Nissa.
This is the fourth in a five book series and each story just gets more and more engrossing. Can't wait for the final episode. Another amazing tale from Ms Gregory.

Nissa is still in trouble (but what else would you expect?)! Jeremiah is still trying to force her to join the Council and she is still resisting. However, when she learns the truth of what he is trying to do, she decides that she must act to save herself 9as well as the rest of the residents of Nowhere).
The book is quick-paced and entertaining, with plenty of magical action and some steamy bedroom scenes. I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment in this series!.

Great Book
Lots happening in this fourth book in the series. Nissa again starts off with drunken self loathing. But it is her intimate relationship with the demon Jax that brings a small turnaround in her self worth. Plus she learns some hard truths about her past. And the Council's plot becomes known, something Nissa can fight. But is it too late? I will find out in the 5th and final book in the series. Thankfully out in less than 30 days! I usually read these types of urban fantasies when they series is complete. I will be anxious until I can read book 5.

Suspence, action and unknown. Nissa could not save Blake and she is going off the deep end. She does not know what to do with the feelings she is having for Jax still. The Council wants her, but why? Do they even know what Jeremiah is up to in the council? Why is he spying on her? Can she get out of joining the council? Now to wait for the next book to see what will happen next.
