Crew Anderson has been keeping a secret from his family — a huge secret that he doesn’t know how to handle. But soon he learns he can’t face this situation alone. So he goes to Darla, the best friend of his brother’s fiancé, Daisy, who happens to be a social worker.
Crew’s world is knocked off its perfect axis when a letter comes in the mail telling him he has a child, and if he ever wants to find her, or have a chance of meeting her, he needs to pay five-million dollars to a go-between. If he goes to the law, he’ll never find out who the child is. Is this a hoax? Or does he have a child out there he doesn’t know about?
Darla has been a social worker for ten years, and there are times in her job she sees how much she’s helping those most vulnerable, and times the law binds her hands and she has to watch as tragedy occurs when the weakest in our world weren’t protected.
Watch this journey with a few twists and turns as the final brother in the newest addition to the Anderson family finds love in unexpected ways.

First let start out by saving I’m an Anderson junky. There’s not a story or series that I’ve not read or listened too. I was eagerly waiting to read Crew Anderson’s book but was so disappointed. 1) Crew had been a stoic person in previous books and very confident. In this one, he was indecisive and weak, two words I never would have used to describe him. Daisy was stronger than he was and she’s a tree hugger.
2) I never like it when main character’s names start with the same letter, as with Daisy and Darla because it can get confusing and obliviously this was the case with The author because there were several occasions when the wrong name was used and not just with the ladies but also with Hudson and Crew.
3) The story lagged in several places even though it started out well with the blackmailing but it then dropped off.
4) So many typos and punctuation errors. This has never been the case with previous books. Maybe there’s a new editor or it was rushed to meet the pre-sale date but it was terrible and should be re-edited. It also didn’t read as fluently as the previous ones, which made me question whether Melody Anne was the true author. It almost sounded like a different writer.
5) Why oh why was Crew used twice in the Anderson series. First Richard’s son and then this ones. There are so many other options why confuse the reader.
6) In one of the previous books, the epilogue had the family at a new location with each family having their own cabin but in this book it was a mere suggestion. Why hadn’t it progressed?
I never like leaving bad reviews but this was unavoidable and hopefully Melody can fix some of the issues. My notes are visible for her and others on Goodreads.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the fifth book in this particular Anderson series, and Crew is the last man standing without an HEA... so Joseph has one more challenge for his matchmaking habit! As the whole family are somewhat wise to his schemes, and really Crew is well aware of how things operate, there is a lot less stress and angst over the obvious attention he is getting. If you have read the previous book, featuring Hudson and Daisy, you will remember Darla and her one-date stalker Steve... and will be furious that he is still around, his Senator father refusing to get him reined in.
So, whilst both Crew and Darla have been skirting round taking the next step, they have been flirting and spending time together. She has been helping him deal with a difficult situation - and now that Joseph has asked him to house some rescue horses, she offers her help with them too. It is a lot of fun watching them acknowledge their attraction and yet hold back, almost certain that they will be explosive when they finally decide to engage.
I won't reveal the dramatic turns, but suffice it to say that the twists are clever, and the time they spend in Italy is fun. I am not convinced they could possibly have eaten all the food that is mentioned, and the number of wine bottles made me worry for their livers! But as escapism goes, it was entertaining.
The ending is utterly perfect and a great excuse to catch up with all the people who benefitted from Joseph's meddling ways.
ps I read a pre-release version, so am not commenting on a couple of issues which I am sure will be ironed out before release.
I have come to love the Anderson’s over the many years I have been reading about one or another of them and to be honest they feel like family so I was sad for this series to be coming to an end but Ms Anne certainly left the best for last, Crew was the perfect story to end the series on. If you have read the previous book Hudson you would have met Hudson and Daisy, well this is Daisy’s best friend Darla and Hudson’s brother Crew’s romance. Crew and Darla mix in the same circles, they have the same friends so the flirting and banter comes naturally for this couple but when they start spending more time together it soon becomes apparent that this is more than just some harmless fun, this really could be love..... Crew is a captivating story that will draw you in and keep you on the edge of your seat as Darla’s stalker rears his ugly head, this is a romance told from the heart, it’s full of family loyalty, love, passion with just the right amount of suspense and humour. This author really painted some pictures with her wonderful words about this couples trip to Italy, she had me feeling like I was there easing, drinking and sightseeing along with Crew and Darla. What can I say about the ending apart from “ It was perfect” and wonderful to hear every Anderson’s view on the fun, meddling Joseph and his brothers. I highly recommend this series and I believe Crew will certainly appeal to all romance lovers so please one click this gem.
Crew (Anderson Billionaires #5) by Melody Anne 4 stars M/F Romance Triggers: Stalking, Kidnapping I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads. My review is of an unedited, pre-release copy of this book and assumes that any errors were corrected prior to publication.
Crew is worried for himself and his family. He is terrible at keeping a secret, but knows that he's going to need help. Darla is his brother's fiance's best friend and she is also a social worker. Crew and Darla have fantastic chemistry, but neither is truly looking for a relationship.
Darla has always known and been comfortable with herself. She's confident and won't change for anyone or any reason. In her job, she knows that sometimes, confidence is the difference between someone charging after you and staying back.
Crew and Darla have a somewhat insta-love/lust relationship. They are fast and furious. With the mysteries looming over them, will their lust become something more? That meddlesome Joseph has done it again. Crew now has a few horses that need his attention and with Darla's past with horses, she's the perfect person to show Crew how to be a cowboy.
When danger lurks around the corner, can their relationship survive?
You'll get to see everyone from previous books and the family is as strong as ever. I really enjoyed this book.
5 star review Crew (Anderson Billionaires #5) by Melody Anne
From the first to the last chapter I was riveted to Crew and Darla’s story. Crew has a secret that he has been protecting and keeping to himself, however sometimes a secret needs to be shared and when Darla, a social worker and friend, recommends he let his brother’s in on what is happening, he agrees. The chemistry between Crew and Darla as they try to solve the mystery is too hard to resist. What happens when lines are crossed? Will it be the beginning of a wonderful journey or will it destroy their friendship? There was suspense, drama and so many swoon worthy moments that I had a hard time putting this book down. I loved that their love was founded on friendship and the banter between them was witty and had me laughing out loud at times.
A great ending to this series and one I recommend.
As always whenever I read your book, I get overwhelmed with the happy ending and can't wait for your next book. Keep up the awesome job and continue to interact Joseph and his wonderful family in your future books. Can't wait to read the next one.

“This is the worst possible moment, but I need you to marry me. I want you by my side for the rest of my days, and I want a full you my wife for another single minute. Marry me, Darla. I’ll do a much better job of protecting you from this moment on,” Crew said. There were sniffles behind him as the night grew very silent, everyone stepping a little closer to listen to Darla’s answer. She dropped down to her knees with him and took his hand. “It’s about time,” she said with tears falling down her face. “We belong together.” Of course that’s what she’d say. He pulled the ring from his pocket he’d been carrying since just before they’d left for Italy. He’d never found the perfect moment. He’d given up searching. The perfect moment was any time and any place he was with this woman he loved. He placed the ring on her finger. “You’re wrong about one thing. This is the perfect moment and the perfect time because everyone we love is right here with us,” she told him. Then he leaned in and kissed her, sealing their promise to each other for eternity. of grey hair because I’m so full of worry over you. I was going to take you to a mountain top, but I can’t stand not calling
So sad to see the end of the Andersons! This book focuses on Crew, who happens to fall in love with Darla, a character we already met in Hudson’s book as she is Daisy’s best friend. With both of these characters running in the same circle and knowing most the same people, they form a very comfortable relationship between each other, and the more time they spend together the more the feelings grow. A big piece of this puzzle from this story is actually something that happened in the previous book with Darla, which took me a minute to catch, but when Darla’s past date approaches her when she’s with Crew, both of them realize that it’s not a good thing. The clock is ticking to try to find Darla and save her before things get worse since they don’t know what her kidnapper is capable of, Crew is determined to not only find her but lock their relationship down. The suspense of the kidnapping was the best part of the storyline for me – I was on the edge of my seat! With this being the end of the Anderson clan, I’m so sad that it’s the end and I hope that there is more to come in the future, especially with Jasmine! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
After all the other books in the series, I really loved this one. It was fresh and the main characters knew exactly what they wanted and went after that. The main characters were both very easy to relate to. Darla is very straighforward and Crew was very centered, they enjoyed their time together and weren't trying to deny what was between the, they faced it and accepted it. It was really refreshing after reading all the drama Crew brothers had to go through. We have a crazy stalker after Darla to add a little spice to the story, and other than that it was just a sweet love story about two people getting to know each other. Something I really appreciated was how they talk about Joseph Anderson and the long journey we've had with his family. There has been many books about the Andersons, all around him and his brothers and friends and it was cute that they acknowledged it. I was afraid for a moment it was the end of the road, but it seems there are more books planed in the special-ops series, so I think we still have Joseph Anderson for a while. And even if I would have liked to know what happened to Darla's crazy stalker, I have to admit it was a good ending to the story.
Crew is the last Anderson standing, so if you're familiar with this series, you already know that he's in some serious matchmaking trouble. Life is given him quite the kick with a letter he received, and he doesn't know how to handle it so he goes to Darla (his brother's fiance Daisy who is Darla's best friend), who is a social worker who can help him with this matter. It helps that he already knows her, AND while neither are looking for any sort of relationship, the chemistry is about to go out of control the more time they spend together. These two are perfect for each other, but it's not going to be an easy journey especially with the twists coming in hot. I love suspense in all of my romance, and Crew definitely had some so I could go straight to my happy place where the f-bombs are dropping like crazy. I have to say that this story is my very favorite to date from the amazing Melody Anne, so I promise you want to experience all the goodness for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Crew is book five in the Anderson Billionaire series by author Melody Anne. This book follows psychologist Crew Anderson and social worker Darla as the pair unite against a ransom note sent to Crew. Darla is a sassy and bold character that has a heart of gold and I loved how the author portrayed the difficulties social workers deal with on a daily basis. Crew was an unexpected book boyfriend in the making, he was open, sweet but broody and introverted when it came to his feelings.
Darla and Crew set the pages on fire and I loved their banter, friendship and their ability to communicate with each-other. This book had some old couples appear and the friendships, connections and shenanigans of the Anderson family can be seen throughout, so even though this is a standalone novel, I would highly suggest reading the rest of the series first to get the full experience. Overall, I loved the ending of this series and it is a bittersweet goodbye to the Anderson’s, I would highly recommend to any romance fan.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Crew and Darla – he initially comes across as quiet, serious, but oh so sexy, Darla is sassy, fun-loving, and gorgeous. Their love story is a slow progression from friends to lovers. They are passionate, have great chemistry and bring out the best in each other. I loved that this progression from friends to lovers was smooth with no angst. They may not have been looking for love, but it it found them. That doesn’t mean that the plot didn’t have twist and turns, it definitely did, but these events just made their relationship stronger. If you are looking for a sexy romance - with an uncomplicated HEA and a varied cast of eclectic, entertaining secondary characters - to curl up with this Valentine’s Day weekend, this may be the book for you! Advanced copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.
The Anderson Billionaire Series concludes with the final brother revealing the secret he has been keeping from his family. Crew Anderson has been struggling with a secret he has been keeping and how to handle it. Since he is not ready to share with his family he confides in his brother's fiance's best friend, Darla, who is a social worker.
Crew’s world is knocked off its axis when a letter comes in the mail with surprising news. Darla will convince him that this news is too much to try to handle on his own and that he needs to bring in his family and get the help he needs.
Darla is the type of person that says whatever she thinks and that will keep Crew off balance and also draw him to her. They will have unbelievable chemistry.
Even though this series come to an end there is no doubt we will see the Andersons and Joseph with his matchmaking antics again.
I really enjoyed this book. I’ve been wondering from previous books what was going on with Crew. I’m glad I got to read his story. Parts were very intense. Darla had a stocker, and he was a sick and dangerous man. I’m not going to spoil the book by going into detail, but I was on the edge of my seat. Darla, and Crew met at a BBQ, and it was pretty much Love at first sight. Crew is a therapist, and Darla is a case worker. They have both seen a bunch of relationships fall apart. They were both scared at first, and took things slow. The build up made for a better story. They may have taken things slow, but Darla herself is a spit fire. She kept Crew on his toes. This was a very entertaining book.
This will always be one of my favorite series. I liked the way Melody Anne finished off this series connecting all the books. Great job Melody Anne!
This is Crew, book 5 of the Anderson Billionaires series written by Melody Anne. I love all of the Anderson’s but Joseph Anderson holds a special place in my heart. He is the large as life patriarch and the instigator of all things romantic for his family. Well, at least he works on making sure that each of the family members is matched with a great person. Now we have Crew and Darla. They seem to fall in line fairly easy. I love all of the cute banter between them as they are getting closer. Darla is very outspoken and a bit of a tease, which really works to push Crew’s buttons. As in all of Melody Anne’s books, there is a lot of fun and family with a side of suspense and a little danger rolled in to keep it all the more interesting. Never the same cookie cutter story on the way to our HEA.
As a HUGE fan of Melody Anne's work (I have read all of her Anderson family books), I was intrigued when this one came up. And, as a fan, I was not disappointed. All the elements that go into an original Anderson story by this author were there: suspense, romance, chemistry between the leading characters, supporting characters who add to the story, and a satisfying ending.
From the moment I began reading this one to the time I read the last words, I was held captive to Crew and Darla's story. I rooted for them when trouble arose, and celebrated with them when they overcame the obstacles. This story was a beautiful addition to the Andersons.
I would recommend this story to any fan of romance. You will not be disappointed.
Crew has been going through a situation that he hasn’t shared with those closest to him and that includes his brothers. When he finds himself no closer to a resolution he decides to confide in Darla and that is when things between them start to become personal.
Darla is a woman with a big heart who is always there to help anyone who needs it whether it is professionally or personally. The fact that she is dealing with her own situation doesn’t deter her from helping Crew and it might just be catalyst they need to act on the attraction between them.
Although both Crew and Darla are facing their own challenges the way they support each other proves that they are so much stronger together than apart.
WOW! Just wow! I love this story. The ending is perfect and spectacular. Joseph is the best character ever. Having the special ops guys in this book made the story even better. Melody Anne has a knack for writing humor in a story along with creating a story that makes you keep on reading. You become so involved in what is going on that it's hard to put a book down. Every book I have read by her I enjoyed as much if not more than the last one. I am so glad that I discovered her books because they are the perfect escape one needs. I so wish there was an Anderson out there for me! Read this book! You will not be disappointed. Read the entire series if you haven't because they are all good!
This is definitely a must read. The story of family and what they go through is definitely an emotional ride. This book deals with people who take no for an answer as a yes in their minds. Children in a rough household environment is a reality. But, people like Darla who care and manage to help one child at a time is definitely worth the effort the brave men and women in the social work embark as a living. It is sad that there are people out there who enjoy blackmailing men and women for whatever reason just like Crew went through, especially when there is a child involved. Not only did this book have me laughing, but I also went from anger to crying. Definitely a very emotional book. So make sure you have a box of tissues.
This is the fifth book in this series by this author. This is the gripping story of crew and Darla. These two characters have a very comfortable relationship between them. This book has plenty of suspense to keep you reading long into the night. This is another amazing gripping read from this author. A fantastic addition to this series. you are always guaranteed an amazing read from this author.
WOW, what an ending to an amazing series of Anderson's... This one doesn't disappoint! 5 amazing stars for this!
Here we have Crew, keeping the secret that is haunting him. When he finally brings in Darla, who's a social worker, she convinces him to get his brothers involved to solve the problem.
Crew and Darla have chemistry, but will they cross the line and explore it, or will they remain the way they are as just friends? Follow their story as I promise you will swoon, laugh and fall in love with these two! Grab it asap!
I'm sad to see them go, I know there is another series spinoff so stay tuned!
I loved this book and was hooked from page one. Really loved the chemistry between Crew and Darla. They become close as she’s the one he reaches out to due to some mystery. This was a fun, sexy, and heartwarming story. Loved getting updates from this wonderful family and the sense of love they have. But does Darla have a stalker? Can Crew keep her safe? This is the final episode to this series, and hopefully there’s more to come from Melody Anne ( she’s one of my favorite authors). It’s such a sweet epilogue. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.
Amazing as always, I keep reading your books within a day I start and don't wanna put it down
Like everything, no dislikes at all. Thank you for your creativity of writing amazing books that keeps you intrigue that you can't wait for the next book, I even get upset that it's taking so long lol, but I know it takes a lot of work creating these stories, and ploting giving it the right oomph, keep on doing an amazing job Mrs. Anne, who hasn't started reading from this writer yet should start now, start from the beginning you will not be disappointed, I literally stop reading any book I'm reading at the time to go read the book that just came out from this author.
Crew and Darla were just perfect for each other. To everyone including Crew’s brothers he was the the straight lace Doctor who never relaxed. Well, Daisy best friend Darla was the remedy for that. They jelled immediately. She made him laugh, relax and smile. The love affair grew out of friendship and mutual respect for one another. Their travels to Italy was remarkable. But what’s a good romance story without a little adventure. Darla gets kidnapped and Crew is about to go crazy until our favorite computer hacker Brackish save the day on her whereabouts. Awesome 👏
I'm writing this review even though I'm only on chapter 5 because the main character and title of the book has been called by his brother's name several times already. I am a huge fan of the author, especially all of the Anderson books, but to have this type of error feels like the fans are being taken for granted. I am going to finish the book, but it is a little distracting to have to keep switching what you know if the previous character to the one you're trying to get to know. I hope Ms Anne sees this review and speaks with her proofreader.
Crew is the last book in the Anderson Billionaires series and boy did Melody Anne save the best for last.
Crew Anderson is a successful psychologist who lives on a ranch on the outskirts of Seattle. He loves what he does but when he receives a letter telling him that he has a daughter and demanding he pay to find out who she is, he doesn’t know what to do.
He enlists the help of a friend of brother’s fiancé, Darla. He’s known Darla for quite some time but until now he hasn’t realised that she’s more than a pretty face and a fantastic social worker.
Both Crew and Darla find themselves having personal struggles throughout this incredible story and they only go to show the brilliant character development that Melody has in all of her books.
I’ve loved reading the Anderson series as Melody creates them. This one ties them all together brilliantly. As always, Uncle Jospeh is there with his matchmaking and meddling ways. No Anderson book is complete without an appearance by Joseph!
I can’t recommend this book or series enough. Definitely go and get a copy!
Another Anderson story, these are truly amazing. Crew is working in coordination with Darla, to find who has been sending him messages. Their intense connection is unique as neither is set on being in a committed relationship, just not their thing. She is flirty, funny, a test of his strength t keep his distance, and she is pushing him to the limits to see how far till he breaks. Purely a feisty, intense, emotional story, yet not without it’s challenges, hurdles, and stalkers added in the mix. Awesome story, loved it.❤️
I've really enjoyed this series. All of the Andersons are awesome and great characters. Crew Anderson, the psychologist, got a cryptic note that he had a daughter. He asks Darla Winters, a Social Worker, to help him find out if this is true. It turns out the note is a hoax, but Crew is falling for Darla. He admired her optimism and confidence. She had finally found a "strong enough to handle her." Loved the qction when they rescued Darla from that scum Steve. Excellent writing and creativity.
I didn't know how many stars to give this one. Everything happened so fast but I think it was because they've knew each other for a long time?
You know how we talk about something and then days or weeks later it doesn't matter? Well, I think this happened here. I think, sadly, there were a lot moments that didn't do anything to the plot in the end. I might be wrong tho.
What I'm trying to say is: judge a book by reading it. Every person has their own opinion so I think we all need to read something in order to be able to say if it was good for us or not.
