Witness the tale of protectors and the Protected Rakshasa. A shocking Mythological Thriller.
The secret from the Era of Mahabharata is vulnerable today.
Present Day - Shivgarh witnessed the growth of the ancient structure of Trishula, booming Shivgarh's economy. But the ancient structure held the secret which would shake the world.
600 BCE - Saharshee Mahant, the greatest teacher of Sapt-Sindhu was protecting the secret from the era of Mahabharata, and found himself in the middle of a conspiracy and the Protected Rakshasa.
Reading mythological fiction always fills my heart with joy, but what brings greater joy is the fact that the new age authors are bringing such diverse creations to mythology. Infusing a small mythological tale into a scientific fantasy that too in a series of books with absolute page turner storytelling is mind blowing.
I feel I read this book at the perfect time, October being the season of mythology and all things cultural, reading this book gave an intense feeling of being grounded to my roots but in this new age with new developments altogether.
Long time since I have been away from books and wanted to get back to reading as I am still around 7 books behind my yearly target and a week has already passed for the last month of the year. I needed a book which could generate interest within me not only to finish but enjoy it too. Knowing that I love books based on mythology, epic and ancient history, I picked Pranay Bhalerao’s latest release named “The Protectors of Kavaach” which is also the first book in Kavaach trilogy. The book is published by the author himself in around 309 pages which seems to be a lengthy book but once you’ll start reading it, the surprise elements and the thrilling aspect keeps you glued. You’ll be able to finish it before the estimated time for sure.
The book speaks of three different timelines- 600 BCE, 570 BCE and the present times. The characters from the 600-570 BCE are the same whereas the ones in the present day are another set of people trying to understand the super-natural activities happening with and around them. While reading the ancient history, you will get the references of Mahabharat and you’ll love relating those parts with the epic characters. The present-day section has characters which makes you relate them to the ones you read in the ancient history section and this fight keeps the reader within you excited and curious. It’s mainly about safeguarding Kavaach which is being secured by someone in every generation and the ritual should continue.
Talking about the writing style, Pranay’s command over the language is impressive. The way he has been able to explain the action scenes between the characters – mostly the fighting scene of Kaal in the jungle is something which tells about his calibre. Similarly, as he is a technology professional, the implementation of cyborgs in the present-day story gives an amazing thrilling angle. His choice of separating the ancient story in two different parallel sections of 600 BCE and 570 BCE has been such a perfect implementation that more than present day, I wanted to just keep reading about these two sections and know why the relationship dynamics have changed between the same characters within the time span of 30 years. The way Pranay defines the whole aesthetics of mine, kavaach, coals, Trishula tells us about his creative and imaginative prowess. His creativity is embedded in almost every segment.
The characters are treated beautifully. The emphasis given on Aryana and Kaal is commendable. The way their camaraderie and growing maturity of their relationship is portrayed makes you imagine the whole segment as the one we saw in the recent RRR movie. Similarly, the present-day section makes you relate many scenes with the Brahmashtra movie. Saharshee’s character and the whole ambience of ashram is again done justice with. His views towards Kaal and the kind of treatment given to Kaal by him is an interesting section to read. It reminds us of Dronacharya-Eklavya scene or the whole Karna section in Mahabharat. Similarly, Rudra and all the characters along with him are given an emotional touch which makes you cheer for them whenever they are involved in a fighting or action scene. Rudra’s relationship with his grandfather is applaudable. I just feel that more coverage could have been given to the team of Shaurya, Teena and Shaksheet too. They sound like an isolated gang in the story. Haha!
Initially, the book might be a slow-read as you are trying to understand the three different timelines plus the multiple characters where each of them are being given certain importance in the story. But the moment you start understanding the characters and their persona, the story starts getting on you. The blend of fiction, fantasy, mythology, religion, history, science and super-natural elements make this book an outstanding attempt of making the reader visualize everything in their brain. Author has been successful enough in making you see the world he has created. I was very skeptic in the pre-climax section of the book as things were being narrated very slowly so I thought if there would be an amazing set-up with which the book will be ended - Thankfully, the climax has been such an astounding experience that I just can’t wondering how the story would proceed in the second book of this series.
Talking about the drawbacks, I must say that the book could have been edited well – atleast by making it shorter by 30-40 pages. I felt that the story had lots of scope of adding philosophical element which has been missed out by the author. Adding that would have given many great insights about human minds and life in general. As I mentioned above, I found few characters little ignored – giving equal weightage to them could have made it more actionable. The whole section where a story is written in the italic form which a character reads sounded quite underwhelming as it didn’t have a very strong bond with the current plot. Lastly, I felt that the author wrote the book from pitching it to movie-makers for adaptation hence many scenes sound more like reading a movie screenplay than book.
Overall, this is an interesting read and one of the fresh stories I have read this year from this genre. I would give this attempt 4.25* out of 5. Looking out to read the 2nd part of the story soon. Hope Pranay releases it by 2023.
Terrible grammer... the story had no cohesion..., the narrative was all over the place... ihe stoy kept jumping between 5 different places....very disappointing read.
•• INSIGHT: The Protectors of Kavach is a culmination of a storyline from the Mahabharata era with today’s times. The ethos in both the eras remain the same. Karna’s armor- Kavaach was been hidden by Lord Indra and was in need of protection. Similarly in the modern times, the armor is in dire need to be protected. The story takes its inspiration from the base that mythology serves direction and vision to a lot of modern day issues, it is the connect that needs to be made and established. The lives of Rudra, Teena and Tanya are linked, are they the rightful protectors of the Kavaach? Will they be able to save the Kavaach from falling into evil hands? That’s the question the book keeps asking its readers.
•• REVIEW: The book is a first in the Kavacch Trilogy and has a fantastic storytelling technique. A lot of research and hard work has gone behind the chapters, which can be well identified while reading through the pages. Smooth transition between two timelines, unexpected twists in the climax, wellcrafted characters and a tight-fitting plot mark the author’s writing style and leave the reader craving for more.
•• STRENGTH: The language is easy to read, the plot quite intriguing for mythology lovers
•• WEAKNESS: The colors used in the cover have camouflaged the title of the book
•• TARGET READERS: Target readers are young adults, looking to find modern day contexts in mythological tales
Mythology has served as a rationalization of life's fundamental mysteries since the beginning of time. Pranay Bhalerao, through his book "Kavaach," brings a fascinating mythological retelling story linking the modern and the Mahabharata era.
The book is a first in the Kavacch Trilogy and revolves around a well-known story of Karna's armor, "Kavaach," which is hidden somewhere by lord Indra. Once again, the armor needs protection in the modern era. What I like most about Pranay's books are the beautiful and vividly described places. In this book, he will take the readers to Kurukshetra, beautiful Shivgarh, Delhi, Sinauli, Kashi, and the magnificent Himalayas.
The story moves smoothly in two timelines with well-crafted action scenes, and the unexpected climax is the charm of the read. Pranay takes three threads, well-crafted characters, conflicts, and vivid action scenes, and weaves a fascinating tapestry. This book is not just a fictional story; it depicts the coexistence of good and evil in society and conveys that ego and hunger for power are the roots of war in any era.
I am excitedly waiting for the next one in the series, a must-read for all mythological readers.
Though we may not always understand why, we should believe and keep in mind that every single thing, irrespective of whether it is big or small, important or inconsequential, all happen for a reason.
And though at that moment, they may not seem like it, but eventually, we can understand the rationale behind them once they start falling in place.
There are times whilst reading the book, ‘The Protectors Of Kavaach’ by author Pranay Bhalerao wherein the readers might question about the happenstance of certain things.
However, as the story progresses, things do unfold and we see how what was happening was a mere result of something that happened ages ago.
We all have heard about how Karna, from Mahabharat, the most generous person ever, who without any doubt gave away his Kavach and Kundala. But what many may not have pondered about would be about what happened when they were taken away.
Alternating between past and present, the author has introduced a myriad of characters, some good, some evil and how they are all after that one coveted thing, having their own reasons.
Being a part of series, there definitely were some unanswered questions, which I guess would be revealed in the next book, for which I am eagerly awaiting, hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The thought that what really happened to the kavach of Karna after he gave it away to Indradev never really crossed my mind. So very interesting take and nicely written book. Looking forward to starting the second part and waiting for the release of the third.
Review: . The book is an extraordinary piece of work done by writer Pranay Bhalerao. I'm genuinely intrigued by the composing style of the creator.
. I generally investigate around Indian folklore as I accept our nation is so rich fancifully and we get to advance such a great amount for these accounts.
. However, this book is beyond ridiculous. I mean folklore with thrill. Isn't it energizing! The book is the most splendid and mysterious book with mythology I had at any point perused. It crossed my all bar of assumptions.
. Here, I won't go much into the story so not to spoil anything. But well, the story runs in three courses of events i.e from 600BCE to 570 BCE to right now. The story spins around Kavaach of Karna from Mahabharata times.
. The book connect with us in folklore, thrill, science, history and confidence. The book plunges profound into research. It isn't just mysterious however intelligent and logical as well.
. A great book stacked with intelligence which will tell you current realities and instructing of our old times. Which is interesting.
. From strong title to the striking cover page of the book, everything is great.
. So would definitely recommend it,but also ask to go with this book with open thoughts to get a handle on the quintessence.
In The Protectors of Kavaach author Pranay Bhalerao unites mythological elements with mysteries alongside thrilling adventures while embracing both traditional and present-day themes. The book serves as the initial installment of a trilogy while building essential elements that will propel the storyline forward. This fictional tale presents an exciting narrative about secret conspiracies and ancient mysteries alongside close bonds and ethical battles which extend across massive time periods. This narrative unites historical elements from the Mahabharata with modern challenges to create an absorbing reading experience that appeals both to history enthusiasts and thriller fans.
The story is set across three timelines, each contributing a different perspective on the ancient armor, the Kavaach, and its significance. The structure of the novel oscillates between the past and the present, creating a sense of continuity and the eternal nature of its central conflict.
Ancient India (600 BCE):
This timeline introduces the characters Kaal, Aryana, and their teacher, Guru Saharshree. They are tasked with protecting the sacred Kavaach, a powerful piece of armor associated with the legendary warrior Karna from the Mahabharata. The Kavaach is believed to hold immense power, and it is their mission to ensure that it does not fall into the wrong hands.
Ancient India (570 BCE):
The second timeline further explores the fates of Kaal and Aryana as they continue their quest to safeguard the Kavaach. The characters' motivations are tested, and the threats they face are even more dangerous than before. The lore surrounding the Kavaach becomes more intricate, with revelations about its true power and the dangerous forces seeking to exploit it.
Present Day (Modern Times):
In the contemporary timeline, the story shifts to Shivgarh, a village where Rudra, a young man with a unique birthmark, lives. Rudra's grandfather has long believed in the myths surrounding the Kavaach, but it is only when Rudra discovers a Trishul (trident) structure that they uncover the ancient mystery that links them to the past. As Rudra delves deeper into the history of the Kavaach, he realizes that his destiny is tied to the legacy of Kaal and Aryana. His struggle is not only with external forces seeking to harness the Kavaach's power but also with his own identity and the challenges of embracing an ancient legacy.
(1/3) The narrative explores the dual nature of good and evil which demonstrate their continuous existence across time periods as they modify while maintaining their fundamental cores. The Kavaach stands as a pivotal metaphorical representation demonstrating protection while it safeguards ancestral legacy along with unbroken guardianship lines. Through its narrative the story stresses the need for society to progress by transforming outdated values into modern ethical principles. The character Rudra faces the destiny of inheriting a remarkable heritage although he comes from simple origins. He undergoes an intense transformation because of his destiny's burden of responsibility.
(3/3) The blending of actual historical events with hypothetical events stands out as a primary strength throughout the book. Bhalerao successfully blends historical weapons with cybernetic systems and electromagnetic technology within his mythological framework to create an intense browsing experience. The speculative nature of the storyline establishes an engaging component which merges historical elements with science fiction elements. His approach to storytelling captures attention through colorful and rich descriptions which bring both historical and contemporary India to life. Through detailed descriptions the author masterfully transports readers between ancient India's historical sites and modern-day Shivgarh.
(2/3) The characters in Pranay's narrative develop into a diverse network of individuals who experience unique personal conflicts and progression in their development. The deep and complex nature of the main characters enables the story to achieve intense vibrancy. The story progresses through an in-depth exploration of how Kaal and Aryana developed from friends to adversaries while showing their personal advancements. The mentor figure Guru Saharshree serves as characters' spiritual guide while showcasing profound wisdom and selfless nature. Through his secretive position Guru Saharshree bestows spiritual gravity onto the narrative.
While overlooking the discussion over title and the cover for a genuine cause, I start the review with the background and the plot of the story.
Plot: The author picked up a nice story. His concoction is quite enthralling. It seems the author is very much inspired by Mahabharata, the greatest epic. Thus, some related content is penned down in the book. In fact, the central theme is a stealth idea from the epic, "Kavaach".
Character Depiction: This part of the book is the best one, in my opinion. Each character is portrayed well. From the name to their role, everything is imposing. But the author should cast aside the same names (I would say similar because of different surnames) of two different characters. It may create confusion. I think the readers agree with me.
Narration & Language: The language is moderate. I am glad that the author succeeded in using conceptual words as per the story. On the contrary, I feel the author lost his grip on narration. As against the story, the narration is not that impressive. Usage of Sanskrit texts would be a great idea if a mantra is to be inscribed. Pictography would be helpful in making this factor influential.
Final Verdict: As stated above, the story is induced by Mahabharata to a great extent. The author took Karan's Kavaach as the subject and even depicted some scenes linked to his life. It was really a good idea, but I assume describing the concept as it is embarks as an imitation only. At least I didn't like that and it seems outdated to me. Creating fiction is an art in itself, but it needs spooky attention.
Though it is promulgated at the end of the book that the second book in the series is coming soon, the story must have a finishing line. Because it seems unfinished. The termination of the book didn't justify the proverb, "Happy Ending". It feels like bad wins at the end of the story which a fiction reader won't love at any cost.
The author tried to portray the ancient time, gurukul system, asharam education but missed its effectiveness. He could have added some teachings so that it wouldn't look like a dummy work but a genuine work. I would suggest the author read scriptures, if he wants to continue his writing journey with devotion to this genre. Because if he had read them, he would not have committed the mistakes that are being made in the course of writing this book.
Besides all this, I also realised that one or two chapters are not arranged chronologically. I picked this book very excitedly but it didn't reach my expectations.
Wait! Wait! Wait! Let me disclose the supreme quality of the book and that is: It begins with the name of God and also ends with it. It glorifies Lord Shiva and His powers. The author has a strong faith in & is a devotee of Lord Shiva. I am undoubtedly impressed with the way his reverence to Lord Shiva. This is what I can't skip in my review.
The story is fine, so my rating also depends on it and on the subject the author picked. I appreciate that he highlights our scripture.
Pranay Bhalerao's "The Protectors of Kavaach" is a fascinating debut that foreshadows an exciting trilogy. I could see right away that the author was confident in her ability to write an engaging plot that would keep readers interested. I was initially drawn to the book's cover because of its vivid colors and the eye-catching picture of a warrior without a face donning the fabled golden "Kavach." I'm much more excited to start reading the book because of the fiery arrow and dramatic images, which properly capture its adventurous and mythological themes.
Through the 'Mahabharata' battles and contemporary India, as well as Om Parvat in 555 BCE, the story transports to several eras. The "Kavaach" is the central piece, a potent relic that has been preserved for ages. The old story of a sage and his followers attempting to protect it from a perilous demon captivated me. Meanwhile, in present-day Maharashtra, a young man named Rudra, unaware of his true destiny, unknowingly guards a mysterious structure linked to this ancient secret. As powerful forces begin their search for the artifact, Rudra’s life takes a dramatic turn. Adding to the suspense, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva in Delhi is on his mysterious quest, making me even more curious about how these storylines connect.
The book's seamless blending of mythology, history, and science fiction is what I found most appealing. An unexpected yet fascinating development was the incorporation of robots and artificial intelligence into ancient stories. Both the past and current timeframes are equally captivating due to the complex and deep world-building. I also appreciated how well-developed the characters are—Rudra’s journey of self-discovery felt real and engaging, and even the supporting and villainous characters, like Krishnajeet Mahant, Kaal Vashishth, and Tanya, added depth to the narrative. That said, some sections felt a bit too detailed, especially when explaining historical events, which slowed the pace at times.
Overall, I found "The Protectors of Kavaach" to be a captivating mix of mythology, history, and adventure. The storytelling is vivid, and the transitions between different eras are smooth, making it easy to follow. The language is descriptive yet accessible, drawing me deeper into the story. While there are a few minor grammar mistakes, they didn’t take away from my enjoyment. The author's choice to spell 'Kavach' as 'Kavaach' adds an intriguing layer of mystery, leaving me curious about the reasoning behind it. This book lays a solid foundation for the trilogy, and I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds in the series.
A tale traversing the realms of time , bringing together past and present.
The story is presented in three timelines. Two of them are of ancient India 600 BCE and 570 BCE while the third is of contemporary times. In the ancient world , the story revolves around Kaal, Aryana and Guru Saharshree while in the current world the story is of Rudra and Shaurya and is centred around Trishul and Shiv Linga situated in Shivagarh. The tale of ancient time focuses on safeguarding a secret while the one in the present world deals with mysterious happenings around Shivgarh and Sinauli.
All the characters have been drafted meticulously by the author. Kaal and Aryana and their childhood friendship has been portrayed nicely. So are their interactions as grownups. Their experiences and growing maturity along with eventual animosity are all narrated in a commendable manner. The character of the Guru Saharshree and his knowledge , courage and his endeavor to safeguard ancient secrets makes him an impactful and impressive character. Similarly the present day characters have been carved out with similar attention to details. Both Rudra and his grandfather as well as the antagonists have been given ample space for development.
The language of the story is simple yet impactful . The descriptions of both the worlds have been done beautifully. The scene with Kaal and Aghoris esp has been one of my favorites. The inclusion of technology like cyborgs etc makes the story more relatable to the reader and the mentions of epics like Mahabharata provide the elegance and origin to the story.
The story does seem stretched at times and could have been a few pages shorter. However, nowhere does the author lose grip on the reader as well as on the characters. The transition between timelines is lucid.
Overall , a wonderful read for fans of mythological fiction and a brilliant start to the series.
Pranay Bhalerao’s The Protectors of Kavaach is a gripping mythological thriller that seamlessly blends ancient secrets with modern-day suspense. The novel masterfully intertwines events from 600 BCE with the present day, revealing a hidden truth from the Mahabharata that threatens to alter history. The story is packed with action, mystery, and well-researched mythological elements, making it an exhilarating read for fans of Indian mythology and thrillers.
The book follows multiple protagonists—Shaksheet, Shaurya, and Rudra—who find themselves entangled in a dangerous conspiracy surrounding a secret protected for centuries. As ancient prophecies come to life, futuristic technology like cyborgs adds a unique twist, making the story unpredictable and engaging. Bhalerao’s writing keeps the suspense high, with fast-paced sequences and intense revelations.
One of the standout moments in the book is when Shaurya undergoes a powerful transformation, chanting mantras before leading his group through an extraordinary event. This scene, filled with vivid descriptions and spiritual depth, showcases the novel’s ability to merge mythology with action seamlessly.
With its compelling narrative, well-developed characters, and thrilling twists, The Protectors of Kavaach is a must-read for those who love mythology, mystery, and adventure. This book sets a strong foundation for the rest of the trilogy, leaving readers eagerly awaiting the next installment.
Favorite Part: My favorite part of The Protectors of Kavaach is when Shaurya undergoes a divine transformation, chanting mantras in front of the Shiva Linga. His veins turn black, his aura becomes powerful, and he leads his group in a mystical ritual that transports them instantly. This moment beautifully blends mythology, spirituality, and intense action, making it a standout scene in the book.
This book sets out to do a bunch of things and succeeds in executing most of it. The story is set in ancient India around 600 BCE where a great sage protects sacred texts with his powers. The story quickly cuts to present day Shivagrah, where a youth named Rudra lives and has freaking fire power. When these thing is going on one hand, we have a lady Indiana Jones trying to find out any artifact's from the mahabarathan period. There are some badass villain associates partners who are chased by Cyborgs.. freaking Cyborgs..and this is just the tip of a gigantic iceberg which he should be explored by one own
The best thing this book does is, it doesn't pace it self hurriedly skipping over major plot points, it takes its own sweet time to establish all the major characters like saharshee mahant, shankarakhanda, shaksheet, teena, rudra and shaurya.. most of them get childhood flashbacks explaining the position they are in and what made them do what they did. This book being the first book in the trilogy, excelles in its world building, the lore and the people and their relationships in the world. We can see some parallels from the movie bramhastra but the lore seperates by a ton. Magic system in this is not complex and fairly easy to follow
There is a severe shortage of mythological fiction in Indian market when we have the best epics all being mythological. This book is a great step in the right direction and if the sequel keeps up with the writing of the first one and expands the world without redconning the first one, this series is set to be the next big thing. with page count coming at 500 pages, we would not feel the story to be stretched solely due the writing prowess of pranay.. highly recommended read
This is the first of the Kavaach trilogy. I saw this on Prime reading list and started reading, turns out it was interesting. There are three parallel streams inside the book, one is when Kaal is a no-man and is getting trained with other future kings, and he becomes a good friend of Aryana. With his great learning skills and his ability to fight with the dark forces, he gains the confidence of the head priest. On the second track, it is Kaal who is chasing his old time guru for the secret he has and Kaal is desperate to get it. On his path he has somehow gathered many powers, which is something we do not get in the book thou. So Shaurya is seeking help from his guru to guide him and save the secret his forefathers have been carrying from ages. Kaal on the other hand has turned obsessed and all powerful, he could not harm Aryana but does not back off from doing so in the quest to reach the secret. In the present day, it is a complete yet same hut from the Shaurya who is in quest of the power. On the other hand, Rudra is a devoted Shiva bhakt, he has not idea he is a going to be in a battle that he has nothing to do with, personally. Krishnajeet, Rudra’s grandfather believes that one day Rudra is the one who will save the world. Rudra has spent all his life in service of Lord Shiva and the Trishul that was the pride of their village. Mysterious things are happening our side the village which Rudra is completely unaware off. So there goes the story on was Kaal able to get to the Secret, which has something to do with Mahabharat, if so what is Shaurya behind, is he seeking the same power and where was it all the time. A nice gripping fiction story, I will consider picking the following series sooner.
Personally, I feel that mythological books are a refreshing break from our modern lifestyle, and these new-generation mythological fictions elevate the reading experience by infusing current storylines into them.
The main characters in the present-day timeline of the story are Rudra and Tanya. A simple one-liner for the story would be: Kavaach, a magical armor of Karna that was given to Lord Indra during the Mahabharata war, is now in danger of falling into the wrong hands. It needs protection, and that’s where these two main leads, along with a few other characters, come into play. How they become involved in the story and why Rudra is chosen are questions that will be answered as you read the book.
This is a mythological fiction read, and I noticed many references and a strong influence from the Mahabharata in the story. The Mahabharata is one of the epic texts that holds countless stories and Puranas within it. In this book, I saw a new version or side of the Mahabharata through the author's words, and I truly enjoyed reading it. The chapters were short, which made the reading experience better. The story follows a dual timeline, and it flips between the two timelines with each chapter.
Let me now share a small setback I encountered while reading this book. Although the idea and plot were excellent, there were moments when the sentence structure felt a bit uneven, which affected the flow of the narrative. At times, it became slightly overwhelming, causing me to take a few extra breaks. That said, the vivid narration transports us to the settings where the story unfolds, lifting our imagination to new heights and offering a true feast for the mind. Despite this, it didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book.
Book : THE PROTECTORS OF KAVAACH: Book 1 of KAVAACH Trilogy Author : Pranay Bhalerao
2022 the longest year that has ever been is almost at an end, and that means it’s time for us to break out the calculators and tabulate life and check out this beautiful and Speechless book by Pranay Bhalerao.
Well written from start to end. This book is amazing and hard to believe the writing is excellent and plot will keep you absolutely hooked!!!
Such an intriguing and unique storyline. Eloborate writing and smooth transition between scenes. The plot and the plot twist were shocking and I like it alot. This book got me hooked right from start and you just can't stop reading it unless you have finished it.
Karna and his story were widely known and stood as a special part in Mahabharata, his armours kavaacha and kinda known as presents by sun God. Here is the story coverage of the kavaach who's gonna protect the kavaach later on. The amount of research the author has done is commendable. He has intertwined science, history, culture, etc in such a beautiful manner, that the reader keeps asking for more.
The language of the book is simple and the writing style is fast paced With a classic combination of action, adventure, mythology and thrill we start this novel from, Saharshee Mahant, the protector of ancient scriptures from dark forces. He has to keep this secret at any cost.
After reading this book i can say this book was awesome. I am looking forward to read the other two books in the trilogy. A recommended Mythological read blended with today’s technologies.
Folklore class is one of the most favored type that I read and in the wake of perusing the snippet I was so eager to understand this. Indeed, this book moves from past to introduce. So from one perspective, the story begins in the 570 BCE in Mahant Ashram which is available in Kurushetra.
Here, Saharshee Mahant, safeguards sacred writing by utilizing his powers. Here, we will get to find out about Kaal. What's more, then again in the present the story rotates between three individuals named Rudra, Tanya and Shaurya.
Rudra lives in Shivagrah and he rejected his positions in worldwide organizations and stays in his old neighborhood. By remaining in his old neighborhood, he cares for the Trishula, which goes about as the extraordinary fascination of that spot. Furthermore, one thing about Rudra which is novel is he was brought into the world with blemish on his back which consumes when something terrible occurs.
Though, Tanya lives in New Delhi who is a prehistorian and she participated in Archeological Overview of India. She works in the unearthing group to track down any assets from the Mahabharata. Teena, is one more significant person in book and she works under Shaurya. Thus, this book has many characters in it as the story moves from the past to introduce and furthermore the story is to shield the Kavaach from going into some unacceptable hands. This is the main book from the set of three.
Be that as it may, I simply wish assuming that the person is more exact and the composing is freestyle. This is a fascinating perused and the book leaves at a bluff holder and I can hardly stand by to peruse the second piece of the book.
🧚 THE PROTECTORS OF KAVAACH: BOOK 1 OF KAVAACH TRILOGY 🧚 By Pranay Bhalerao
✒️The very first stirring I felt upon opening the yellowed pages of 'KAVAACH' was that of stumbling upon an translation of an ancient manuscript of undeniable power and potence which had an epic story to narrate. The tone was unmistakably sombre and I realized PRANAY was not here to merely entertain me, he was here to make me part of the legend of 'KAVAACH'. It was intriguing and challenging, since I live for challenges I decided to take this one up too, gladly. The challenge was the complexity and depth of the plot, which left me perplexed, in the beginning.
✒️This book is written based on Mahabharata, which is well known to all of us. This book talks about three different timelines BCE 600, 570 BCE and our present. The story developed in a way, where all the times present, past and future weaved with great twist and turns
✒️This is my favorite type of book. I love reading sci-fi, it gives us courage and hard work, and overcoming great odds to achieve the impossible, all with a sense of humor. Its message of resilience and optimism through the hardest of times pays homage to the best in humanity.
✒️In my head, the purpose of this review is very clear. It is to convince YOU (Readers like me) to read this book. Yes, you! Waste time no more. Go grab a copy.
✒️This is my favorite type of book. I love reading about religious fiction and science, courage and hard work, and overcoming great odds to achieve the impossible, all with a sense of humor. Its message of resilience and optimism through the hardest of times pays homage to the best in humanity.
I just completed "The Protectors of Kavaach" by Pranay Bhalerao, and it has been some time since I've had such enjoyment for reading. As a person with great admiration for mythology, epic stories, and ancient history, this book was ideal.
The narrative oscillates between three timelines 600 B.C.E, 570 B.C.E, and the present. The two ancient timelines are intertwined, featuring the same characters in both, while the contemporary plot has a different set of characters attempting to grasp the phenomena that are occurring.
What I liked most was his weaving in references to Mahabharata which always makes it easier to connect with the epic characters. The present day portion was equally as interesting with characters who were similarly familiar to those from the ancient timelines.
The main plot involves guarding Kavaach, which is an ancient relic that has been kept by someone every generation. A ritual needs to be performed, and the book takes you on a roller coaster ride with different characters.
Pranay Bhalerao's writing style is astounding. His action sequences are well done, and the way he incorporates modern-day technology into his present-day story with the use of cyborgs makes it even more interesting.
The creative storytelling is definitely one of the best features of this book. The author's different perspectives blended together with the ancient aesthetics and the characters’ relations is astonishing.
All-in-all, "The Protectors of Kavaach" is an interesting book that any mythology or epic tale lover would enjoy. I can't wait to see what the next installment in the trilogy has in store for us.
This is the primary book from the Kavaach Set of three, and the possibility of the Karach is encompassing Karna's Kavaach that captured all the power favored by Surya Dev. In any case, the new flood in the advanced world has upset the equilibrium and Kavaach needs security once more. The story shows a smooth change between two particular courses of events enveloping a great deal of characters in its making. One could get up to speed a piece to imagine technical disciplines. Yet, as you turn the pages, you will be found its regular stream and the composing will introduce the clear show of Kurushetra, Shivgarh and Kashi. The composing force of the creator is monstrously projected by the occasion show and idea building. How he spun the whole folklore around a cutting edge story with a punch of rush is genuinely an honorable work. The book cover is additionally splendidly planned, matching the spirit of the story. In any case, the appeal of this book lies in the startling peak, and how Pranay's personality was created all through his excursion. I can hardly stand by to peruse the following spin-off. The exemplary mix of activity, thrill, folklore, culture and history improved the entire perusing experience. Now, what was this thing so protected that Kaal himself needed to come after it, what were its powers and how might it be utilized and what reason it would serve is the issue that is not yet clear. I loved the portrayal of the story and would peruse the following spin-off in the series.
My grandfather used to tell me different narrations of Mahabharata when I was a kid which hooked me till now and whenever there is a mention of Mahabharata or any ancient thing it intrigues my like nothing.
The book transit in two timelines, a boy fro.lm, Today to 600 BCE. A movie came to my mind while reading this where the Shiv Avatar was vaguely shown at the last. I don't remember the name but it's Chiranjeevi who played the character of protector. But there is no connection between these two. There are many characters from both eras so need to be attentive while reading this. Also before that, you have to have a fair idea of Mahabharat's character, The Karna. Who always fascinated me with a calm yet emotional and furious son like Sun.
The Kavaach has to be protected from the Kaal, in past and the present too. The Underworld don is behind the secrets of ages and the Boy Rudra is unaware of the importance of The sign on his back which lights when it's dangerous.
There are so many details which I want to share here but these world limits would never let me do that. So I recommend you to read this Masterpiece of Pranay. I recommend this one to every reader who had an interest in mythological fiction. It's so engaging and jaw-dropping experience for me. It's the first part, if this one is like this then I can't even imagine how the next parts would be. I am glad that I took the time for reading this one. It's worth your time, knowledge and interest.
Mythology genre is one of the most preferred genre that I read and after reading the blurb I was so excited to read this. Well, this book moves from past to present. So on the one hand the story starts in the 570 BCE in Mahant Ashram which is present in Kurushetra. Here, Saharshee Mahant, protects scripture by using his powers. Here, we will get to know more about Kaal. And on the other hand in the present the story revolves between three people named Rudra, Tanya and Shaurya. . Rudra lives in Shivagrah and he refused his jobs in multinational companies and stays in his hometown. By staying in his hometown, he looks after the Trishula, which acts as the special attraction of that place. And one thing about Rudra which is unique is he was born with mark on his back which burns when something bad happens. . Whereas, Tanya lives in New Delhi who is an archeologist and she joined in Archaeological Survey of India. She works in the excavation team to find any belongings from thr Mahabharata. Teena, is another important character in book and she works under Shaurya. . So, this book has many characters in it as the story moves from the past to present and also thr story is to protect the Kavaach from going into the wrong hands. This is the first book from the trilogy. But I just wish if the character are more precise and the writing is free style. This is an interesting read and the book leaves at a cliff hanger and I can't wait to read the second part of the book.
The composing is brilliant and the plot will keep you snared!!! This book is astounding and difficult to accept the composing is fantastic and the plot will keep you snared!!!
I viewed the storyline as charming and novel. An extremely elaborative composing style and a simple progress starting with one scene then onto the next. It had a stunning unexpected development that I truly delighted in. You can't quit perusing it until you've completed it. I was snared right all along.
In Mahabharata, Karna and his story were well known. His reinforcement, kavaacha, was somewhat viewed as a present from the sun god. This is the anecdote about the kavaach who will safeguard the kavaach later on. It is praiseworthy how much examination the creator has done. Through his delightful joining of science, history, culture, and so forth, he keeps the peruser considering what's straightaway.
This book utilizes basic language and is high speed. With an exemplary mix of activity, experience, folklore, and rushes, we are acquainted with Saharshee Mahant, the defender of old sacred writings against evil. Regardless of anything else, he should stay discreet.
As I would like to think, this is perhaps of the best book I've at any point perused. With respect to the next two books in the set of three, I'm anticipating perusing them too. Legendary stories mixed with current innovation make this a suggested read.

what attracted me towards the book was its cover and its catchy title and the bio it says it's going to be a mythological book and oh boy was I in for a ride. I picked up this book and I was hooked to it from the start. The author has you know divided each chapter into multiple segments of between past and the present. Even with the past there is like something that is happening in the past and there is something that is happening like you know week after the past and then there is something that is happening in the future that is today. The time jump was there and since the language used was simple and easy and you know for a person like me who gets lost in the world of multiple characters the connection with the story an character was felt and I could remember it.
Even the the book has strong characters like Shaurya, Shaksheet, Rudra.
Then there is Kaal called who does not know his origin and is shunned from the society, you could emotionally connect with him and what all transcribes through his journey of the ashram.
Again that was a beautiful and beautifully depicted.
What I did not like in the book would be too much of characters. So there was a point where I was like you know where they introduced the character Krishna and I was like who is this and how he is connected with the story, remembering was little difficult.
It's a book one of the series of three. I'm like are ye second book kab aayega. I'm like waiting to get my hands on it.
Book : THE PROTECTORS OF KAVAACH: Book 1 of KAVAACH Trilogy Author : Pranay Bhalerao
The writing is excellent and the plot will keep you hooked!!! This book is amazing and hard to believe the writing is excellent and the plot will keep you hooked!!!
I found the storyline to be intriguing and unique. A very elaborative writing style and an easy transition from one scene to another. It had a shocking plot twist that I really enjoyed. You can't stop reading it until you've finished it. I was hooked right from the start.
In Mahabharata, Karna and his story were widely known. His armor, kavaacha, was kind of regarded as a present from the sun god. This is the story about the kavaach who is going to protect the kavaach in the future. It is commendable how much research the author has done. Through his beautiful integration of science, history, culture, etc., he keeps the reader wondering what's next.
This book uses simple language and is fast paced. With a classic blend of action, adventure, mythology, and thrills, we are introduced to Saharshee Mahant, the protector of ancient scriptures against evil. No matter what, he must keep this secret.
In my opinion, this is one of the best books I've ever read. As for the other two books in the trilogy, I'm looking forward to reading them as well. Mythological tales blended with modern technology make this a recommended read.
