I really gotta stop taking TikTok recommendations. This book was AWFUL. Everything about it. Was written so AWFULLY. I'm convinced the author is sick. That's all I can say. Not the good kind of sick. Book had potential and it was slaughtered. Can't believe I wasted my time.

I feel quite generous giving it 3 stars. Every second paragraph there was literally someone biting or licking their lips. It got seriously ridiculous. I should have numbered just out of curiosity.
The plot? Well you have a 24 year old college student that has a dream to start her own business but the moment she meets the handsome extremely rich son of her idol she just throws everything to the dumpster and she becomes a trophy wife to be. Talk about personal growth. It gets worse but I won't spill the beans.
Anyway she constantly finds herself in weird situations but guess what? Her father in law is constantly there to save her. Like every effing time.

Sigh, I’ve got to stop taking FB recommendations at face value.

The dating/engaged to son, hot for father/age gap story morphed into cringeworthy daddy kink.

I may have been okay if she only called him daddy during sex, but no, she doesn’t use his name, he’s daddy and she’s princess. 😑

tropes: - fiancè’s dad
- age gap
- forbidden love
- forced proximity
- enemies to lovers
- single dad

this was my first ever read by this author and let me just say that it definitely will not be the last!! the connection between celeste and daxon was so profound and it made me fall in love with this book that much more.

Very rarely do I give books 1 star reviews but this one truly made me angry and annoyed. I only finished it in order to give my proper thoughts as to why I really didn't like this book. Here are the reasons:

1. She keeps calling him "daddy". Not even in a sexual context. She calls him that to his son. WHAT?!?!? At first I thought it was to tease and mock him but turned out she called him daddy alot....i felt uncomfortable
2. The MMC calls her princess and little girl more than he uses her name. Gives me the ick given its an age gap romance
3. The blatant infidelity that goes on. Regardless of the circumstances that led her to start screwing her finaces dad, in my head its still cheating
4. Lack of chemistry - even the sexual tension feels forced and there's nothing there
5. Lack of romance. I truly believe this couple will divorce in less than a year. Their only "romantic" moments involve when she's hurt and he's suddenly "there for her." There's nothing else beyond those forced moments.
6. Poor writing - points 4 and 5 really contribute to this. Nothing about the characters feels like real people which is something I like in a romance. The pacing is odd and the plot sort of collapsed at the end
7. The fact that celeste fell in love with him after a 2nd night together but there was nothing to merit that feeling other than them screwing and him helping her when she fell off a horse....lol
8. The ending felt absolutely rushed, unresolved, and like a cop out? I wanted more given the fact that the fiance caught them....the epilogue felt too easy...I want consequence when you screw up like that

Overall i did not like this book. If you want to read it more like "no thoughts just vibes" I'm not sure i can recommend this either given the ickiness of the age gap

Celeste (24, mfc)
Daxton (47, mmc)
Dylan (24, son of mmc)
Paisley (roommate of mfc)

Celeste is a college student. Daxton Stark bumps into her, causing her to spill her coffee on her textbooks. He arrogantly blames her. When his son and he guest lecture in her class, she falls under the spell of Dylan. Daxton makes his feelings known in a cold-hearted way. That doesn't stop her from dating Dylan. A year later, they are engaged, and Daxton is still upset about it. Her dropping out of college didn't help his views on her. There is lusting between them, but nothing happens until after she finds her fiance in bed with someone else. Celeste and Dylan now have an agreement that Daxton knows nothing about. Is she really going to go through with the wedding? Especially after she finds out there are consequences?! Well the truth come out? Will the babies be okay?

So this one was more steamy than the previous ones, but I am not a fan of cheating troupes. I usually don't read them. Had I known beforehand, I would not have read this one. From what I understand, the next book is also a cheating trope.

Please, don't read this book.

I don’t know where to start.
Definitely, the one-star rating is due to two reasons:

1. the app won’t let me put less than one star, and
2. this book had really good PR on TikTok.

Other than that, there will be no kind words in this review.

The start was great—I thought I struck gold when I read the first chapters, but then? Don’t even get me started.

1. The fact that she’s always describing the male character’s hair as “salt and pepper” really bothered me. That wasn’t a good comparison, girl, and it was cringeworthy to describe it the same way every single time.

2. Do you remember the female character’s name? Because I don’t. The fact that she was instantly “princess,” “young lady,” etc. really got me thinking about her name, and guess what? I couldn’t remember it. From now on, I will be referring to her as "princess"

3. How on earth can someone realize she’s in love with her lover after only two sex sessions? I know your boyfriend couldn't do it right, but really? It just doesn’t make sense.

4. I don’t even want to comment on the time when Dylan sent both his father and his fiancée on a trip to a faraway place, and they had to send photos. Dylan, did you really not notice that she was wearing your father’s shirt the very next morning after they had sex? Are we pretending not to notice, or is it just me?

5. When she gets pregnant!! Unbelievable, really. Not the pregnancy itself, but the attitude of everyone involved. “Princess” couldn’t believe it (really? after all the unsafe sex you had?), Daddy Dearest suddenly felt protective without even wondering whether the child was his, and Dylan—don’t get me started, man! You’re gay and could barely stand to have sex with your fiancée, and you really think those are your children?

6. Daxon, how do you expect to make decisions if you’re just the grandfather? Since when do grandfathers decide where their grandchildren go to school? Where I’m from, they don’t.

7. When Dylan discovers that Daddy Dearest and “Princess” are having an affair. My God, the whole situation was surreal. You could see it coming. And Dylan, let me get this straight: YOU CAN’T GET ANGRY WHEN YOU YOURSELF ARE LIVING A DOUBLE LIFE! Remember the man “Princess” saw you with? Well, buddy, now you can’t be acting all offended.

8. How could a father say to his son that he only “touched her because his monster really needed her”? Are you fucking insane?

9. Daxon’s “cold” moments with “Princess” had me rolling my eyes every time—and not because it was good, quite the opposite.

10. Can we talk about the timeline for a minute? First, “Princess” is 14 weeks pregnant. Then, they set up the nursery because “the babies are due any time now.” But then she’s suddenly 22 weeks pregnant? Really? The way everything was written was just confusing.

11. Are we supposed to accept that they always ride in a limousine? And the fact that the driver’s name is just “Driver”? Just because Daxon is supposed to be rich doesn’t mean they should always ride in a limousine and not know their staff’s names. This shouldn’t have bothered me, but when things are displayed so poorly, everything becomes unbearable.

12. The accident and Daxon’s sudden realization were the final straw. Again, are we supposed to pretend that was devastating? That Daxon finally confessing his feelings was romantic? Even though he always compares her to his late wife and never explains himself? Are we supposed to connect with a nonexistent story?

13. How about Dylan finally coming out of the closet? Should we really believe he’s a role model just because he was “so brave”? Don’t get me wrong, props to Dylan for finally living his life as he pleases, but let’s not exaggerate. The author spent the whole book trashing Dylan, painting him as a fool, but suddenly all of that is forgotten and forgiven because he couldn't confess his true feelings earlier? I call bullshit.

14. Final point, thank God. Let’s take a look at these quotes:
“I was the new inspiration for the company and my down-to-earth personality was a win for marketing.”
“But now we would run D.S. Industries together as a family.”

She’s a heroine now, ladies and gentlemen! We have someone who dropped out of college (nothing wrong with that—college isn’t for everyone) and forgot her dreams just to pursue a luxurious life. Not only that, but she had an affair with her father-in-law, for fuck’s sake! ARE WE REALLY SUPPOSED TO FALL FOR THIS AND BE OKAY WITH IT?

There are so many things wrong with this book. Please don’t read it.
The plot was awful, the writing made it seem like sex was the only important thing (by the way, there were so many sex scenes I had to skip them, and by skipping them I left at least 80% of the book unread).

Really, don’t bother with this book. There is nothing to save.

* I was sent an arc copy for an honest review.*

I rated this book as a 3 as I didn’t really connect with the characters as much as I would of liked. I think the storyline was jumpy in some places so found it hard to connect with the story.

For me personally the use of “daddy” was overused so it felt cringey reading, I don’t mind it every now and then but nearly every time she addresses her father in law it’s used so is a bit too much for me and made me disconnect from them.

The spice scenes were good and the tension between them was good.

I think with more description of the characters, location & build up it could have been better.

Mister Stark, Book 4 of the Mister series, was about 47-year-old Daxon Stark, the CEO of D.S. Industries, and 24-year-old Celeste Lovette, a Business major in college.

Celeste met both Daxon and his son Dylan on the same day when they were tag-teaming a lecture in one of her classes. She met the dad first, who happened to be someone she greatly admired and whose career she followed. At the time, she hadn't realized that Daxon had a son until her professor introduced him to the class. By the time the lecture was over, her admiration for the dad had slipped slightly but had ignited towards the son, who asked her for a date. A year later, Celeste and Dylan were engaged, and she had dropped out of college, all against the approval of Daxon, who believed she was nothing but a gold-digger. Unfortunately, she did give off all the vibes of being one.

There were spicy scenes that the FMC shared with both men, and there were spicy scenes with the MMC (dad) with another woman (one scene in particular that was witnessed by the FMC), which were a bit tacky and distasteful

I can honestly say that I didn't care for either Daxon or his son Dylan. Both were creeps in that they treated Celeste horribly, especially when it came to clients and business deals. But even worse was that after Dylan's secret was revealed, and Celeste slept with Daxon, the following night, he was making out in front of her with another woman, and the following day, it was a different woman he was parading around in front of her.

The story had an overload of angst and drama, all created by three very immature adults who couldn't be honest with themselves or the world. The emotional rollercoaster had too many twists and turns, but the author also let the story go on for too long, only to realize she needed to wrap things up and did it in such a way that it ended too quickly, leaving so many issues unresolved. Even the added epilogue was poorly written.

All of the characters were badly developed and immature, and there was no time for any of them to show any growth before the story was brought to an abrupt and unsatisfying ending. The writing style was so juvenile that it cracked before it even began.

The more I read this book, the more I disliked it. The two main characters played head games almost from the beginning, and it was not enjoyable. After so much stupidity, I wanted to do nothing more than skim the rest of the book, but I forced myself to read until the end. I wish I hadn't. I was so disappointed in the whole thing.

Unfortunately, this book barely earned a one-star rating. If I could give it zero, I would, but that's not an option. Nor can I say that one star was for effort because it felt like very little effort was given in writing this travesty...and there's still one more book in the series.

This book starts following Celeste when she’s still in college and by accident meets with Daxon Stark for a conference about how to succeed in business, but she also meets his son Dylan Stark whose giving a speech too in the conference, and they hit it off of there. A year later she’s engaged to Dylan and she can’t stand his father because he’s not happy with their relationship. While she’s planning for her wedding she discovered a secret about Dylan and she gets drunk, Daxon rescues her and then they fall for the forbidden and spent the night together.

And I can’t say anymore without giving spoilers so you’ll have to trust me on this.

Tropes:
-fiancés dad
-age gap
-forbidden love
-forced proximity
-love triangle (kinda)
-enemies to lovers
-single dad
-daddy kink (but in a teasing game, kinda)
-billionaire’s

I was struggling with getting through the story, character’s and the writing at the beginning but once I kept reading it got me hooked!

This is the 4th book on the Mister series but I believe you can read them as standalones.

A girl who meets a man that she is excited to meet due to the fact that he is very influential and she thinks she could benefit with the lecture he is going to give at her school, but with the run-in she has with him and his rude demeanor, she thinks twice about how she'll feel about him.

When she meets the son and he falls head over heels in love with her instantly and defies his father in chasing after her, after a year they are engaged and she left school because ... why continue when her future husband has all the money in the world right!

But things get a little harry and she ends up in a pickle with the son and father, so which one will it be in the end!

Very intense with the father-son liking the same girl. Girl not knowing which one she liked more, who was better for her, who was the one for her.

I do have to say it was a little slow, as every one else has been saying, but it does pick up and once it does, you can't put down.

I really enjoyed this book and my god the spice between Daxon and Celeste is unreal. Celeste has always had the hots for Daxon but when she finally get to meet him and his son Dylan it doesn't go the way she expected. Celeste goes on a date with Dylan and things move fast before She knows it she's engaged and her and Daxon hate each other. Many chance encounters and some shock and heartbreak finally push these two together and the tension that has build up finally explodes and they end up with so many secrets between the family. When Celeste falls pregnant everything changes.

I loved how this book flowed and it was such a great spicy forbidden read. Lots of shocks and secrets that it gets very juicy fast and keeps you hooked. Daxon is very dominant and Celeste loves to push his buttons to get a reaction so she can enjoy the consequences. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a age gap , forbidden , spicy read.

I was in the mood to read an age gap story. Breanne delivers with her newest book in this series with Daddy Daxon. I was not sure about him in the beginning because of his gruff demeanor but he surprised me by how gentle he was with Celeste. Yet, he commanded authority at the same time. Which, Celeste was just fine letting Daddy Daxon call the shots.

The intense tension between Daxon and Celeste in the beginning just made the chemistry between these two ever hotter. Who does not lover an enemies to lovers story; especially one that is also an age gap story. A double delight for sure. Each book in this series just gets better and better. Mister Stark is a yummy bowl of ice cream with whip cream and a cherry on top!

Celeste is excited to meet Daxon Stark, a selfmade billionaire, giving a lecture in her class in college. What she didn’t know, was that he has a son, Dylan, and his attention goes all the way to Celeste. But daddy Stark isn’t so happy with the girl who comes into his son’s life.
But when secrets come out about Dylan, Celeste runs into the arms of Daxon. But who will she choose in the end, and can that one love her back the way she deserves?

This was my first book by Breanne Bergie, and although I had some trouble getting into the story at the beginning, eventually it got me hooked. I wanted to know what would happen and how things would evolve.

I’ve read all the other books in the Mister series and this one might just be my favorite out of them all. It has the spice, it has an amazing plot line and is very well written. I was never let down by this book and it had me hooked from the start.

Also the spice y’all. Praise and Daddy Kinks all throughout and so much more. And the Chemistry that was between Celeste and Daxon was incredible and had me wanting more every chapter.

Halfway through I knew a plot twist was coming but I was NOT expecting the plot twist that happened y’all! If nothing else that kept me hooked cause I needed to see how it ended.

Overall a solid book with lots of spice, a little sprinkle of betrayal, and a wild journey. 9/10 would read again

Don’t we all love a forbidden romance? And with the fiancé’s dad no less?

This really did check many of the boxes for a solid story. We got:

🌶️🌶️ - ✔️
Solid story - ✔️
Characters worth rooting for - ✔️
Characters to hate on - ✔️
Characters to love to hate - ✔️

I mean what else could we ask for?

For me, it was the wordiness. I don’t like wordy. While I see the appeal of the the extra descriptions that are included, I’m not here for it. I want the story. I don’t care how fancy stuff is - but it did fit with the storyline so I can’t really complain too much.

It’s enjoyable, fast paced and spicy. Sold.

"Mister Stark" left me with conflicting feelings, i liked the story and it was one of the few times i couldn't guess how it would end.
However, there were a few things i didn't like, but i won't mention them, as they would spoil the story for other readers.
There was passion, steam, conflicting feelings and some twists.
I will read more from the author.

This is Book 4 in the Mister Series and my first read by this author, and I must say it's not going to be the last. It is an emotionally heartbreaking age gap, off limits romance between Celeste and her future father-in-law Daxon. These flawed characters are complex, the chemistry combustible, and the unique plot makes for an intriguing read. It is a complicated love story that will keep you focused, engaged, and on the edge of your seat with a compelling blend of drama, love, hate, betrayal, and passion. An intense love story with a happy ending. It can be read as a standalone.

Hands down…. Amazing! Mister Stark is a delicious book, full of lust, forbidden spice, age gap brilliance, s3xual awakening, and so much more!

Celeste and Dylan- set to be married, but when the truth is revealed and she’s now set to live a life in a loveless marriage- she ends up spending the night in her soon to be father in law suite, something ignites in both of them. Can I just say daddy k!nk unlocked!

When the truth is revealed….all hell breaks loose but in doing so- it opens the door for all secrets to be revealed.
Ooooo and that plot twist in the beginning!!! My face said it all!
Can’t wait to read the rest of the Mister series!!

I love the premise of this book; girl meets billionaire and falls in love, gets engaged to billionaire, and ends up f*cking his insanely hot Dad. Despite some of my favorite tropes, this book falls short for me. Celeste (FMC) is extremely immature for her age and we spend a lot of time watching her act like a spoiled child. The Daddy kink is strong here, and Daxon (Daddy) is written as expected. The characters overall lack depth and there is little growth over the course of the book.

Tropes: Age gap, Billionaire, Forbidden (Finace's Dad), Alphamale, Secret relationship, pregnancy

big. fat. nope.

I was intrigued with a FB ad, but I should have known better. I honestly think it was linked to the wrong story, but I was intrigued by this title too.

But right from the start I knew this would be rough. The writing wasn’t great. It felt like reading a rough draft before editing. With the poor writing, it led to poor character development and poor story line.

I love a good “daddy kink”. But he is not “daddy” all the time.

I DNFed at 20% and I never do that.

Age Gap, Secret Baby, Taboo Read!

This book was an easy, good read for me. There are elements to the story that are taboo and some parts are quite steamy! I felt that the only part that was lacking for me was the depth to the characters. The book is a great length, however, I never felt like I really got to know the characters in it but I wish they had more depth. For me, that would have made this a 5* read.

Celeste is very excited to meet Daxon Stark, a self-made billionaire, giving a lecture at her college. He turns out to be a complete jerk, but has a son Dylan who is completely charmed by her. When secrets about Dylan come out, she runs into the arms of Daxon. I was struggling with getting through the story, character’s and the writing. I didn’t connect with the characters, the story-line was jumpy, the use of “daddy” felt awkward and way too much for me.

Did not like this one…this is the first book that I have read from this author and it will probably be the last. The amount of time she calls him daddy makes me think that it isn’t used as a sexy endearment. Its obvious that she wants a father figure. I tried to like the female lead but I couldn’t get past her shallow personality. The male leads were a little better but without dual POVs its hard to understand the full story.

DNF at 4%.
Just terrible from the beginning. The dialogue, the fact that a character who is supposed to be intelligent and smart can't ask intelligent questions but just flirts with the guy and giggles? I hate people giggling for no reason whatsoever.

And she spilled coffee on her books and she just threw them away right there so as not to give a bad first impression? Who does that? Don't you have notes on them that you want to keep? Couldn't she just leave them on the table?

A total mess. I cannot waste any more time reading this book.

Heavy daddy k!nk so if you’re into that, this is for you. It follows Daxon and Celeste who have to repress their feelings since Celeste is engaged to Dylan (Daxon’s son).

One night changes everything and sends all characters into a whirlwind of drama, secrets, and more.
