This is the second book featuring Mersey View. All the characters are back but this time the Germans are regularly bombing Liverpool. There's a couple of tragedies in this well written book. I loved every minute I was with Monica, Joan and both their families. Times are hard, Liverpool is slowly being destroyed, but the families support each other through thick and thin. Although this book is heartbreaking at times, it's also heartwarming. Another fantastic read by Lyn Andrews. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I would like to thank #Netgalley #Headline and the author #LynAndrews for my ARC of #GoodbyeMerseyView in exchange for an honest review.
Goodbye Mersey View.. a very enjoyable book! Such realistic descriptions of the devastation London suffered! However this question begs to be asked, Why do authors always feel the need to repeat things over & over .. for example Lily being described as being a force of nature at least three times?? in a way it demeans the reader’s ability to get it .. the first time.. and yes it’s a good descriptive statement but once or even twice is enough to get the message across??
The sequel to "The girls from Mersey View" deals with life during world war 2 and all that life throws at Joan & Monica. Definitely moments of sadness but a real feel good factor to the story.

I've never read a book by the author that I haven't really enjoyed , and as she has wrote a fair few this goes some way to prove just what a fantastic author she is. Really enjoyed getting to know Monica , Joan & Bella and finding about their daily lives. Look forward to reading the next in the series.
Great instalment in the Mersey girls series, we’re back with the girls with their ups and downs now focusing on the middle years of the war. It was great to catch up with all the characters and a few new ones thrown in. Highly recommended saga series
This story follows on from “The girls from Mersey View” with Monica, Joan and their families living in WWII. Both women are married and live their lives in fear of their husbands fighting the war and struggling with rations.
