Ole Miss, under head coach Mike Bianco, has been one of the most consistent teams in college baseball for two decades, routinely making the NCAA Tournament and playing in front of one of the nation's top atmospheres at Swayze Field. With a passionate fan base and a midseason slump that dropped Ole Miss to the bottom of the Southeastern Conference standings, the season was headed for disaster with potential program change looming. Resilient Rebels takes readers through the story of how Ole Miss came back from the brink of devastation to deliver a remarkable College World Series run that ended with the national championship.
Chase Parham, who has covered the Rebels since 2006, uses his experience and knowledge of the program, along with never-before-read stories and anecdotes, to weave together what brought Ole Miss to this pivotal season and what it meant for the program, the fan base and the personal lives of so many when the Rebels dog piled in Omaha.
A few spelling and weird errors, but I can overlook those on a story that means so much to me. If you are a LONG TIME Ole Miss Baseball fan, this is a must read. The roller coaster season is wrapped up in this quick read by Chase Parham. Loved every minute of it.
Absolutely great book chronicling the Rebels magical run. Chapter 18 really got me in my feelings and puts things in perspective( I won’t spoil the book). Absolutely great book.
