I love finding little Formula 1 gems, and a gem this was. I loved that it highlighted the struggles of woman trying to make their way in a very male dominated sport. Also, I felt like Rush was very explanatory for someone who perhaps doesn't know much about F1, covering everything from car parts, to why penalties are given and what for.
Valentina is a young girl who tried to make it big in Formula 3 before she was kicked from the team, with no reason. She's living in Monaco with her Brother Adrian, who is a Formula 1 driver. This girl has drive, she's passionate, and all she wants is for someone to give her that one shot she's always dreamed of.
Gabriel is her brother teammate at Ferrari, but he's also out of bounds, 1. Because he has a girlfriend and 2. Because he's decided that's the way it is going to be. No matter what he feels for Valentina, and she him.
These two had such an undeniable pull towards eachother, they are both in love with eachother but don't want to overstep the friend boundaries set. I wanted to slap them both at times because they couldn't see what was right infront of them. They also gave me MAJOR blue balls!
The ending left me so happy, and I can't wait to see where Part Two will go!
