3.5 STARS!!!
This is the first book I've read in this series, and it was a good read although it ends with a cliffhanger. I had no problem following along with this story. This paranormal story was a quick read but one worth reading but at the same time it's a one-time read for me. I truly wished that it ended as a standalone story. I enjoyed Vanessa and Keillon characters. Vanessa has not had an easy life but she's willing to give up the one thing she has held on to in order to help her sister Sandy. She will give up anything and do whatever is required. Keillon is on a mission, but his path crosses with Vanessa and its chemistry and steamy scenes from then on. I love his protectiveness of her and that his actions show how much he cares for her. Their story is one with action, steamy scenes, romance, love and family. I just wish it was a standalone story within a series.

There was so much…
wrong here that I don’t even know where to begin. So I’ll try to start at the beginning, if I can remember.
The story starts of with him saying he couldn’t get the Archduke’s eyes and the way he looked at him out of his head and the ferocity at which he wanted to protect the human women that day, yet as the story unfolds and he starts feeling things for Vanessa, the realization and the connection he felt never makes him think about the Archduke and his protective nature again…even throughout the end of the book. Even the epilogue of the last book was about him pondering the Archduke’s behavior over the humans but once he has those instincts in himself, he never thinks back to the similarities.
Then we jump to after their union and a year has passed yet they still know nothing more of each others races. It’s like they haven’t had casual conversation at all. You would think that Vanessa would want to learn how to navigate the dark elf world better seeing as how she must prepare her sister for it. Sandy is a child and not mated, so he adult life will be different that what her mated sister has. But I digress..
There were many more inconsistencies, but I’ll jump to the end. A new species is introduced, the vrakken. There has been zero mention of sightings of a strange being, nor and mentions of murders, mysterious or otherwise, other those killed by Kellion himself that is, but suddenly at the end , King Kres states a new being has been seen and the whole country is talking about it and even mentions a prominent dark elf has been killed (I assume he was prominent by the way he’s referred to). So once again, no buildup to a new plot point, no Easter eggs left throughout the story, unless you count the spy he was originally chasing, but I can’t because we don’t even know what he was spying on or whom or even why the King suspected there was a spy in the first place! What information was being leaked? How did he come to the conclusion that someone was spying?

Loved this one, though I think Keillon went a little overboard on the killing spree.
Vanessa is desperate to make some fast money to buy a healing potion for her little sister. She knows there is only one way for a human woman to make that kind of money in Liiandor. The club she goes to does not require a commitment, one night or one-hundred - it's all the same to the owner. She's never done anything like this before and she isn't sure what kind of dark elf she might end up with, but it is for her sister's life. She can do it.
Kellan has come to the club in search of a spy. He can feel that his quarry is somewhere in the crowd, but he can't see him. He can see her. The human woman on the stage has his full attention. He has to have her. But his tryst is interrupted by his real reason for being at the establishment and he leaves her to go and complete his mission. Imagine his surprise when he finds her causing a stir and crying her heart out in the Black Market the next morning. He didn't know what is going on - but she isn't getting away from him again.
Vanessa and Keillon are a surprise. She isn't as innocent as she seems and he isn't as mean and callous as he acts sometimes. Turns out, they go together perfectly. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A wonderful read I loved the characters and the scenario was simply wonderful
This is a simply wonderful read that I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it was so amazing and a simply wonderful that I loved every single moment of.
This was a wonderful situation that had me totally wrapped around you finger as you begin to read this wonderful story, this is all based around the sickness of her sister and she knew that she would do whatever it takes to help.
She allowed for herself to be sold to a dark elf so that the cash could be used to help her sister, the Elf that she has been sold to is Keillon who is a terrifying and impressive figure that she at first fears,
However, over time you see that there is a definite relationship growing between the two of them and they begin to have feelings for each other and as this grows his people know that laying a hand on her would mean death.
This is a very special love story from a sister that was willing to give up herself to save her sister.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I definitely think this is my favorite by far but I still hate cliffhangers and in saying that it doesn’t take away from the amazing book. Vanessa is willing to sell her soul to save her sick sister Sandy with the medication she needs and even dance’s at a pleasure Cliub to earn extra money for it. General Keillon is on a mission to find a spy for his king which leads him to a pleasure club looking for him when he gets distracted by a gorgeous human female dancing on stage that he wants for himself but before her can get to her he sees the spy he is looking for and leaves her behind. The next day at the Black Markets he sees the same woman from the club crying and decides he won’t let her get away again because she is his and his alone. The attraction and chemistry between them is overpowering and there steamy times together are so hot and he is very protective of her and nobody will touch her or face his wrath. There is so much more to this story that I don’t want to spoil it any more than I have already.

Vanessa and Killion define opposites attract. Humans to the dark elves were nothing but low and could and usually were treated badly. Killion a King's man on a mission that he gets distracted by.
Vanessa is a human with distinct beliefs that gets her in trouble more than once. Her mindset on things she wouldn't do just to survive. Then fate throws a monkey wrench in and her life changes. For good or bad you'll have to read it. Some sexy going on, some danger and a lil bit of mystery. Then of course the cliff.
Dark Elf's Devotion is the first book in the series for me, that could be the reason I felt I had a hard time getting into the story. Like something was missing. With that being said. The writing was good, I liked the story, but the main characters for me didn't click. I will eventually go back and start at the beginning. Until then enjoy the magic.

An interesting romance for Keillon and Vanessa
I am reading this series and enjoying the characters and sister stories of books. It’s so interesting with the Dark Elves, Orcs and the sky species. I am hoping for some working together at some point. Some of the Dark Elves from earlier books have human mates and are happy. This story follows General Keillon, the demanding alpha, as he searches for a spy for the King. During his journey Keillon sees Vanessa dancing in an after hours pleasure club. He is captured by her beauty. Keillon must have her and must control her. Vanessa on the other hand is only dancing to earn money for medicine. How will these two fare when they come from opposite sides Dark Elf and human female? Read On!

Violence against women
So many mistakes and contradictions.
I want to hurt her, I don’t want to hurt her. I bruise her but she is not hurt. I choke her with my cock down her throat so she cannot breathe as punishment.
Disgusting and abusive male.
The woman is weak and easily manipulated by an evil violent creature.
The author should be ashamed to even think this crap into existence.

If you like a bit of action, romance with a strong dose of BDSM kink... Look no further. Take note the main couple are more D/s (brat) in play mode.
Grumpy General goes through an evolutionary process when he encounters a virgin human young woman. 👠
This book Isa bit more graphic than the others because of the type of people they are.
Still very entertaining and good storyline.

Ok, this book was definitely better than the first one I read.
Keillon and Vanessa stole my heart, the romance was so intense, sexy and spicy.
Kellion is a murderous/magical elf and I love him, he is not like the others, he is very kind to Vanessa and at the same time he showed us with that massacre that he will do everything to protect her.
Vannesa loves her family, I can't judge her for that, I don't know if she would be capable of doing it, especially in a world where humans are treated like that.

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I really liked the storyline of this one, and I loved Vanessa and Keillon. They made such a perfect match. Both had more to them than they appeared and have such great chemistry. I especially liked Keillon's personality, and his fighting skill was exciting. An excellent read. 5 stars.

MS king has written another fascinating book with characters that you instantly fall in love with. Neil loan thought he wasn't going to go done a road that he shouldn't but, he did and enjoyed the whole trjp. Then he found that his love needed his protection and though he got punished for it, he finally found what was meant for him. GREAT!!!

Fantastic story😊
This story was so moving, exciting entertaining and just WOW!!!. Sometimes in this life people will surprise us when we are least expecting it😁🤗. enjoyable series
Definitely one of my favorite books in the series! I really loved Vanessa and Keillon. Had some editing issues. HEA. King has a template so it falls within that but is fresh and different, like each book in the series.

Cringey and disappointing when it had the potential to be great
