The entire universe has turned against her and Samara Winters has gone from being the Galaxy's Sweetheart to the most hated woman of the Allied Planets. She was supposed to celebrating her big break, not choosing what prison planet she would end up on.
But Xanthos isn't like the other planets. On Xanthos she can find her way to the spotlight again. And when she gets her chance to tell her side of the story, she'll show them.
She'll show them all.
Rian
If there's one thing Rian knows, it's how to break a pony girl to saddle without breaking her spirit. His newest aquisition might have been a celebrity in her past life, but she's a pony girl now, and it's time she came to terms with it.
Sinistre Ange is going back to the Planets Apart, and this time it’s Xanthos, the pony planet. I’m always eager to read anything she comes up with, and the prison planets have all been só very interesting so far. So,when i got the ARC,naturally i immediately jumped at the chance. What i got was a delicious story, one i enjoyed a lot!
Samara Winters attacked her fellow actress because she got the role Samara wanted. Cady Kidman pressed charges, claiming Samara intended to kill her. To Samara’s horror, she was convicted of the crime, and about to be sent to one of the prison planets! The only thing she was allowed, was pick a planet…and what good would thát do? She needed to tell her side, she was the victim here! In the end,she reluctantly chose Xanthos, because it meant becoming a show pony. And that meant showtime, and an opportunity to show the world she wás a victim. Only, once she arrived, everything that happened to her was nót what she expected…. She was treated as a pony, not as the star she was,and that simply wouldn’t do. The man that bought her,Rian, didn’t treat her any different than he did his other “ponies”,but the orgasms he gave her as a treat were…..she hated to admit it…but they wére delicious. She did her best to perform as he wanted her to,but not just to avoid punishment. No,she álways wanted to be the best…plus,if she wás the best, she would show everyone back home she was thriving, even if she was a victim.
Would Rian be able to change her into what he saw in her,and make her like it? His stable master Tristan didn’t see it happening…Giving her a new name straight after he bought her was only the beginning. Samara was to be Charisma Dawn from now on,and he would show her she was his pony. His to train, his to touch, his to punish or pleasure. Her natural desire to perform worked in her favor, and he would teach her the rest.
At first,i didn’t really like Samara, she was a spoiled actress that was used to getting her way,no matter how. But once she was on Xanthos, she started to change, albeit reluctantly at first. What emerged in the end,was a pony that was happy with her trainers, that had found her happy place. Thát was who i liked, and i loved how Rian and Tristan managed to get her there! Those were two véry fine trainers….they really cared about her,and i love how they showed it.
On a positive note, I read this to the end, but I'm glad it was in KU so I hadn't spent any money on it. All the characters lacked dimension whilst Rian and Tristan had zero personality to boot. I felt a little more connection to Samara/Charisma, but only because the book was written from her perspective. With minimal plotting, no character growth, and not even a smidgeon of romance to be found this was very much a forgettable read. One where I never really bought into Samara's feelings either.
Whilst this isn't the type of book you read for the in-depth story, I even felt let down by the sex. Quite frankly it was boring and repetitive. Other than the ponygirl element it felt very tame and lacklustre, quite frankly I've read more exciting dinner menus.
Thankfully the author's voice is very readable, and the premise was certainly innovative. Had the sex involved a little more emotion or had there at least been a smattering of romance I would definitely have rated this a lot higher.
Like I both knew what I was getting into here (this series has for some reason sucked my brain in.) But on the flip side, I was wildly unprepared! I can’t even give this a proper star rating because what? But that’s not an option here so like… read TW/CW’s you guys. That’s the best I can offer here.
I have learned so much through this series 😂 what a galaxy of k1nk5 to keep unsuspecting readers busy. Super fun series of quick fiery reads covering a whole universe of preferences you may not have known existed.
More from the prison planets, this time Xanthos.....the pony planet
Samara is a movie star who's convicted of attempted murder for attacking her best friend for getting the part in a movie that she wanted. She tried lying to get the public on her side but video proved the attack was unprovoked. Sentenced to life in prison she has the choice of the colonies or a prison planet. She chooses Xanthos, thinking she'd eventually be able to turn things around and get back to her life.....not quite. Rian is the owner of Sleeping Beauty stables and he purchases Samara intrigued by her spirit yet cautious if he can really tame his pony and get her to a pony show.
****** Like all the other books this was wayyyyyyyyyy outside my usual. The h is treated like an actual pony, she's given special shoes and mittens that act like hooves, she's exercised and washed down and fed a special diet of oats from a trough...... absolutely not got everyone but I've been curious about this series and trying to make it to the end.
When they're convicted they sign away rights to their bodies so there's Hella non consent as a groom is allowed to touch her initially and the H has sex with her whenever, I thought this was m/f but his head trainer also had sex with her frequently and together with the original H🤷🏿♀️
I will say this wasn't as clear cut as the first book, there was no HEA to me, they were still with her, she was a show pony but no declarations of love or indications of an actual relationship. It felt like it was leading to that but then the author just left it. The beginning was good but Samara was still resistant to her new life and looking forward to supposedly clearing her name......then she just wasn't? She just accepted her new life as a show pony and that was that🤷🏿♀️
Nevertheless an interesting read, np rating as this is definitely not my usual.
h was touched by a groom initially H had sex with another pony after touching the h Basically these books aren't for safety readers🤭
Smut at its best! After being convicted of attempted murder, former Hollywood star Samara Winters finds herself on planet Xanthos trained as a show pony. It's a hard adjustment, from being the Galaxy's sweetheart to a life of a pony, owned by the Stable Masters. She is determined to make her haters repent about the way they treated her and to be back in the lime lights as a champion pony. Her trainers, Rian and Tristan, use punishment and pleasure to train her and the sex scenes will make you all hot and botherd. Sinister Ange stories are not romance stories per se. They mostly contain a lot of delicious smut and sizzle that guarantee to make the reader all worked out. Taking the reins is the 4th story in the "Planets Apart" series and it's smutty and steamy as the previous books in the series.
Sinistre Ange takes pony play to a whole new level in 'Taking the Reins', the fourth book in her "Planets Apart" series. Each of these books can be read as a standalone as they pertain to a specific punishment planet. This time we are going to Xanthos where Samara Winters has chosen to serve her life sentence. I have to say, it was difficult for me to like her at the beginning. She was manipulative, high-handed, and delusional, to say the least. After giving it some thought though, I can easily compare it to a Dom giving his sub a spanking. It doesn't end until the sub completely gives over to the Dom. This was a great storyline and I enjoyed it tremendously.
This was the book I was least excited about because c'mon... horses 🥴 really?? I only decided to read it for the sake of finishing this series. So imagine my surprise when I kind of liked it?? 😵💫 am I insane??
Sinistre Angel books are definitely full of high heat, naughty with little to no romance, but they certainly keep your attention.
Samara Winters decides on planet Xanthos only because it gives her the opportunity to be seen as a pony champion and she is determined not to go quietly into obscurity. Samara is the galaxy’s sweetheart now rivaled for her actions against her best friend. She is headed to the prison planets to serve a life sentence after being convicted of attempted murder.
Rian is the owner and head trainer at Sleeping Beauty stables and he is determined to take Samara and turn her into a champion pony. Samara now know as Charisma Dawn, is in for a shocking discovery when she is purchased at auction and her new owner takes control of her.
Charisma is somewhat appalled at her reaction to Rian’s training tactics and his rewards for her good behavior. She responds to being forced to fully submit to his control and the painful punishments he dishes out. Slowly she comes to revel in her new life.
I received a free ARC from the author and Elle Woods PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
I’ve read others in this series. They are quite different, but also high heat. When found guilty you get to rank your options of which planet you prefer to be sequestered on; you may choose to be a pet, pony or little. Your choice is not always acknowledged. You are then auctioned off, and your owner may do whatever they want with you.
Our prisoner Samara is an actress found guilty of attempted murder - over a lost movie part. She feels no remorse, in fact feels she was the one wronged. On Xanthos, your past life is left behind and a new beginning is entered with a new name too. Rian is a trainer, and knows Samara – now Charisma Dawn – will be a challenge. He is willing to take her on personally.
Fitted with hooves, a bit and branded is only a start to what Samara faces. Samara has a possible bleak future ahead of her unless she can reform her ways.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
This is book four of the series, and whilst I am enjoying reading this series, it seems each book is getting shorter and more rushed than books one and two. That’s extremely disappointing. This book should focus on the lead female Samara who is a famous actress who got in trouble for allegedly attacking another actress. Samara has to pick which planet that she will go to so she picks the pony planet because they have competitions that are televised. This book doesn’t have the exam scene from the previous three books. The truth is not revealed about issues between Samara and Cady. This book four and book three seems like someone else is writing or contributing more to the storylines not the same person(s) as in books one and two. Disappointed.
This is the fourth (last) book in the Planets Apart series. Each book follows a prisoner who is put on (or sort-of picks) a world with a different kink (and it is a life sentence). The alternative to picking one of those planets is stated to be very unpleasant.
This follows a complete narcissist who chooses to be a pony girl, because she is/was an actress and this world will get her at least shown in competitions.
The book shows her transformation into the pony Charisma Dawn and, in the end, her transformation into that new identity.
This is not a romance. This is pure, glorious, fetish smut. So accept it for what it is.
I enjoyed it, even though the pony girl fetish is not my jam. It was fun. The personal transformation in the end was very well done.
This is the latest in the series, and while it can be read as a standalone, there is very little background provided which means that it could be difficult to grasp the premise if you're not familiar with the setup. This was a well written story that was long enough to not feel rushed, but short enough to get through easily. This story will not be to everyone's tastes. The basis of the relationship is ponyplay and it's completely immersive for the characters. Being a dub-con dark romance, there's no HEA or promise of future HEA and it's a very intense read. Taking all of that into consideration, I don't know if I'd say that I 'enjoyed' this book, but it certainly kept me invested from start to finish.
The fourth and I am guessing the final book in the series, but they can all be read as a standalone since each book takes place on a different planet and is its own story.
This book takes ponyplay to a whole new level, which I enjoyed a lot. The main character is not the most likable person. She has a whole different perspective of herself and feels very entitled. The whole world is wrong and she is the innocent victim.Lucky for her, her new owner doesn’t take any **** from her. I enjoyed reading about her transformation and adaptation to this whole new life.
This book is different and very steamy. I recommend it.
4th book in the prison planet series. Loved all the books in the series and this was my first whole focus pony play story that I read. Love Golden Angel, but also her dark side with Sinistre Ange.
The character was a good one to work into especially since not that likeable. Again a rollercoaster of ups & downs with wondering "do I like this...do I not like this" & whether can get into the ownership & discipline aspects of the ponies and letting some of that pride fall away. Definitely a nail biting read.
Nice and spicy, will definitely be going back through the whole series later to see what I might have missed on the first go around & how I view all the scenarios again.

These stories hooked me to them from the start. They were all so hot and smutty! A couple of them really had me excepting more than I was comfortable with but they ended up being fantastic. There was a great story in each book, not just endless sex. Sinistre really made you feel what the characters we’re going through. I can’t wait to read more stories involving the different planets if they come out. I am very excited that I found SinistreAnge’s books!!
Not the best from this series but certainly far better than the worst, which was the dire "little girl" book. Of course this is a very strange concept, although not as weird as the Hucow book that opened the series since this is at least within the boundaries of human biology.
I thought the readjustment of a spoilt media darling was well handled, but the life sentence to a prison planet for a first conviction for assault speaks of a very severe penal policy.
The sex scenes are fairly intense and the book is enjoyable.
Expect some pretty intense hotness in this one. She’s the Universe’s Sweetheart and as an actress she has the selfish part figured out. But I’m a fit of rage or meltdown her whole life will change. She soon will find herself being controlled and taught a whole new life. But first she needs to let go of her past if she wants any chance of happiness in the future. This story has lots of dominance and submissive that will show you a whole new world of what is pony play.
Samara was sentenced to life on a prison planet and chooses to be a pony girl. The once Hollywood sweetheart wants to shine again, but she must leave her past behind and embrace her new role. This story has a bit of plot and a lot of steam. Sinistre writes a great mix of fetish with the main character overcoming their greatest weakness and continues that with this story. This is part of a series but is a standalone.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Just what I expected, a quick read with no attempt to make the story into some drawn out drama. Really hot, hot, hot! I didn’t need or want complex character development of Rían or Tristan that would have gotten in the way of the story. They’re two horny guys obviously living their passions. The female’s character is developed well enough for the reader to understand her. I think this is the best of the four books in the Planets Apart collection.
I did enjoy this story. It gave me what I have been waiting for since book 1 in this series. Rian, Tristan, and Charisma are great characters. The reason for 4 stars is it needs editing. It is bad enough to take away from the story. Honestly almost gave it 3 stars. But I do recommend this book if you are a fan of the author.
While I don't want to downplay the greatness of the other books in this series, I have to say the best was saved for last. The writing was beautiful and the story was great. Being able to be there step by step from disgraced celeb to award winning pony was delightfully brilliant
Smutty and dirty, just how I like it! The last in Sin’s Prison Planet series, Samara is convicted of attempted murder and gets sent to another planet to serve out her sentence as a show pony girl. From Hollywood sweetheart to bits and plugs and tails. 💜
I loved this story but it felt like I was reading everything b in fast forward. Time was passing quickly and I am sooooo sad that the exam scenes I’ve come to love was completely skipped. Ugh. Still a great book.
I've been waiting for the next story in the series for a while. Sinistre Ange did not disappoint. Internal conflict, control, dominance and steamy times. I want more of these criminal planets.
I enjoyed the character growth in this one. She still had pride, though in a more constructive way. The hot sexy time was as brilliantly introduced as usual, with any Sinistre Ange novel.
Bizarre. I didn't feel like Charisma's personality change felt natural or genuine. It was like she was super set in one mindset for a long time, and then all of a sudden she's content to just let it go and that seemed off.
If you like horror and kinky smutt this novella works. This is literally breaking a woman down. I wouldn’t categorize this as degradation as much as a mind eff. 1.5/5⭐️ & 4/5🌶️.
Finally finished the last planet in the series! This was probably my favorite one tbh! I don't know how I'd feel about having to wear hooves all the time, but some of it doesn't seem all that bad to me. 🤣
