Rolling power outages, strange electromagnetic phenomena, images of whales beaching themselves live on the nightly news, and an untimely aurora spreading like a bruise above the clouds in the night sky.
The beginning of the end of his world as he knows it.
Sean doesn’t want to talk about baby names. He isn’t interested in helping choose a color for the nursery, or curious about the sex of their firstborn child. In fact, most days, he’d rather do anything else than confront the reality that very, very soon he and his wife, Kat, will become parents.
What worries Sean the most isn’t the bizarre weather or near silence from the government, but the fear that he will somehow lose Kat; that she will become a stranger to him as she readily embraces this new era of their life together.
When the fate of their family is jeopardized by the unpredictable dangers of a life-altering cosmic event, Sean must fight to protect a future he is still hesitant and unprepared to welcome.
What shape does love take when the person we know the best and see the clearest becomes something ... other?
