Jasmina Harker is an innocent virgin, but it doesn't matter.
I want her.
No, I need her.
From the very first moment I laid eyes on her, I knew she was the one. I craved nothing more than to tear the clothes right off her and force one screaming climax after the next from her quivering body until she admits that she needs me too.
I may be the worst kind of monster, but she will still be mine.
This is just a heads up! While the title hints a dracula retelling its not. But Sara fields did create a feeling of spooky with many atmospheric descriptions of the vampire tale with a character that did have some similars to Dracula. Dmitri Alucard ( Dracula) spelled backwards is dark and dominant with a touch of sadist who's very hands on! He has stalked Jasmina from a distance after seeing her one time and since then has been instrumental in guiding her career over the years as a real estate agent. Jasmina has meant the quite and intense Dimitri on a couple of occasions so when her boss sends her to his gothic castle estate to help in putting it up for sale what she sees as a opportunity to sale a property that has ties as far back as Henry the 8th not only does she see it as a big career move but she'll also be working side by side with darkly handsome mysterious count who looks at her with such intense heat as if she was his. And damned if she doesn't want him as well. What Mina doesn't know is Dimitri has no intention on letting her go, she will become his bride and she is never leaving! She will also learn about submission and until she admits her true desires and needs their will be pain ! Theirs a lot of spanking with hand and belt and some edging that is typical BDSM stuff but this is the first time I've read of figging! Lets just say I'm not a big fan😜 and its not my thing but to each his own.Sara Fields did a awesome job of writing this tale with several references to Dracula and the myth. I will admit that between not being around in the day and no mirrors and even a butler named Renfield it was close and while I thought it was great I would have loved if he was a real vampire!!! This whole Monster Stalker series was fabulous and just the right spooky for this time of the year. Until next time Luv's💕💋
This was in no way, shape or form a romance. This was a dark erotic novel with rough sex, spankings, and ginger in the butt with absolutely no emotional or passionate attachment to make Dimitiri and Mina even make sense. The story is told mostly in Mina's POV so Dimitri was just a character that locked a woman away to use as warm body in whatever way he sees fit. Mina was a door mat and despite being a virgin and having a life...was just somehow ok with her new life. I mean what?
I have no idea where this novel went or where it wanted to go. I knew almost nothing about The Count beyond his penchant for doling out pain and taking pleasure while pretending to give it back. The two of them literally did not have a meaningful conversation once. Dimitri would disappear and then reappear without any explanation.
And the part where he drugs Mina...I mean...
If you've got to drug your woman to make her want what you want...you got BIG problems. There was a lot wrong with this book for me. It ended abruptly and was lacking a satisfying ending. I love dark romance but there wasn't ANY actual romance in here.
Thanks to an introduction by Dorian Gray, Count Dmitri Alucard procures the formula for Bl88dX from Edward Hyde.
When he brings Jasmina Harper to his isolated estate under false pretenses, he’s able to act on his basest desires.
There’s not much plot to this quick read. However, with the level of heat you’ll find, I highly doubt you’ll miss the plot. Enjoy this one-handed read!! 😉

When Dmitri first sees Jasmina, he's obsessed. So he keeps stalking her, until he finds a purpose to make her go to his castle in Edinburg. He calls her boss and says that he want to sell his castle and needs Mina to sell it, she has to go and stay there. He's a count, rich, so he does what he pleases. This is a BDSM story, though all the plot revolves around count Dracula, there's no paranormal in here.
I like the way the three author interact the story and the characters. It's well-structured, and there's no discrepancy between them.
Dmitri has fallen in love with Jasmina the first time he saw her so he’s making plans and waits. Now Jasmina job is to sell properties and her client is Dmitri she has the big client in the company she’s to stay at his place and help him sell. But it doesn’t work like that when they first meet sparks fly he’s a gentleman and talks with her but he leaves but he tells her one rule no leaving your room at night.
Jasmina wants to explore so she does leave her bedroom finds some good stuff until she is found by Dmitri and is punished for disobeying him. Spanking and some fresh ginger root inside her. Painful and embarrassing she is now staying longer and locked in her room.
My problem now is that’s all that happens locked up, dinner and sees alone Dmitri is busy doing idk what he meets her for dinner every time and when she miss behaves he punishes her. I’m alittle disappointed that Dmitri wasn’t a vampire he gave off well vampire energy lol. Dressed like one lived in a gothic place even had no mirrors but sadly I was wrong.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, Slight secondary chars, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore
Recommend-yes/maybe Cover-⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heat level-🌶🌶🌶
Prologue Push away from h Punisments Spankings Anal play/sex Food play (ginger root) HFN
This is the worst of the 3 in this series. It also ends at 88%… if I’d had bought this I’d be passed that the story ends at 88% and the rest is filled with descriptions of the other books by this author.
This was quick and fast paced but ultimately was a let down. It had ALL the intentions but failed on execution.
We have H who is called count. He’s all mysterious and we literally never know why or even really are built up enough to care. He’s instantly obsessed with the h which is nice. She is a virgin but goes from 0-100 instantly lol. WHAT LOL.
Their is so much in this…. Like I think it’s got degradation. He leaves every night but idk why and yet he catches her the two times she leaves …. There’s a ginger root in the booty. Lots of spanks but these weren’t that fun to me. They only have smexy times twice. He called her “little girl” but idk why… I thought it was gonna go into like daddy kink but nope… nothing.
Just a lot of shit that didn’t connect and was a let down. Whyyy I fking finished?? I don’t even know waste of my day.
Umm… I mean the first two books in this series were not phenomenal. But they were at least intriguing and the BDSM kink was explored in a sexy and kind of vague way that let the imagination of the reader run wild.
IMO, there is a point where too much description kills a story. As was the case with this one. Unfortunate, as I was liking the call outs to Dracula. But damn did the story fall flat. Dimitri is not the Dracula I know and love… if he was obsessed with Mina—I didn’t get that vibe at all with this rendition. Only words. No atmosphere. No chemistry. And I am just going to say… what a truly horrific “first time” for the Mina of this story. That girl should have PTSD alongside her Stockholm Syndrome.
I don’t know. It’s part of the series. The three authors did good with replaying the “linking” scene from all 3 MMC perspectives. Sara Fields is more descriptive in her writing. So yeah… read it, as it finishes the series off. It just wasn’t my favourite of the three.

✅Captive ✅Retelling of Dracula but NOT PNR ✅Figging 🫣😳(google it) ✅Calls her my little girl or my Mina ✅Spanking (hand , belt ) ✅Virgin heroine
This one was okay but fell a bit short for me. It was a retelling or Count Dracula but was NOT PNR. Although there were a couple of hints that led me to believe it would be PNR through out the book. The Count or Demtri lived in huge estate aka castle like compound that was hundreds of years old. He sold a drug called Blood that was a high potency type of cocaine substance , red liquid in a vile that resembled blood. He ate a red substance that looked like blood and cherries smeared on toast. There were no mirrors in the castle. I was unsure until the very last page if he was vampire or not . I felt kind of ripped off that he was just a regular human.
He saw the heroine and decided he wanted her forever. Tricked her to come to his estate where she was held captive. I wanted to see more of the estate and I wanted more to happen. The hero was not available during the daytime which again led me to think he was going to vamp out.
The heroine was mostly locked in her room. I really wanted to know more about her . All we really knew was that she was a start up real estate agent and a virgin. The story was character driven and not a lot of plot involved.
That being said it’s a Halloween series that will include 3 books by 3 authors . One being Zoe Blake. Jekyl will be one book, Hyde another, and The Count will finish up the series. As far as special holiday books go this one was actually quite good. These novelty niche books are not something I normally like but with these authors I couldn’t help myself.
I’m glad i read it. It’s fun to celebrate Halloween with books like this but they won’t go on my top favorite book list . I am honestly still wondering if I missed this guy vamping out. Did my kindle skip a page or what ?
The Count spots Jasmine on busy London street and becomes immediately drawn to her and puts a plan in motion. He finally gets her to his castle and woos her with his charm. Of course Mina disobeys the rules and finds herself in a precarious situation with some ginger root. Very interesting twist on this timeless tale!
This was a strung out punishment scene between the main characters. We never found out why she couldn’t go out at night, why there were no mirrors, and why she only saw him at night. We also never really got the gist of this formula he acquired at the beginning of the story or why he obsessed with her.
This made no sense and there is nothing romantic about spanking, belting, sticking ginger in your butt or drugging someone.
I forgot how painful reading even a novella can be. This book reminded me of that.
Dmitri Alucard, the Count, is (of course) a rich businessman who is also a part-time drug lord. The moment he makes eye contact with Jasmina once, he decides that she is going to be his wife. I mean, it's a novella. So I didn't really have much expectation.
(Fun fact: Personally, his name is freaking hilarious to me. Because Alu in Alucard means potato in my mother tongue😆😆😆)
Anyway, our heroine, Jasmina, is NOT a doormat cause at least it has some type of solid form to it. She is a literal dough. Her interactions with Dmitri screams grooming. She doesn't have any personality. Honestly, this girl is even worse than AI or even a cupboard.
Her whole relationship with Dmitri is an HR dumpsterfire. The power imbalance between the hero and heroine is NOT giving hot. It's giving master-slave.
In fact, the smut scenes are unprotected, unhygienic, extremely demeaning BDSM, if you can call it that. The uncalled for humiliation on the heroine's part and the forceful nature of this is a severe turn-off. The hero literally used her for his own enjoyment. All the decisions were made by Dmitri. Jasmina was always the passive participant for absolutely no freaking reason where she didn't have any agency of her own and she was treated like a doll made of dough to play with as pleased. And she was okay with it somehow. I mean, what???!
Obviously, I don't find this hot in anyway. Consensual non-consensual smut scenes can be written in a good way. And this is NOT a good example of that.
I mean, it's better than being JUST treated as a sex-doll, right?🥲🥲🥲
Even the reasons for the absence of mirrors and prohibition for venturing out at night is not explained. Why did the author even introduced these plot points if she didn't want to elaborate upon it? Honestly, I think she just forgot or something. From where the plot started and to where it wanted to go is difficult to understand. I couldn't comprehend it, at least.
This novella is absolutely not worth it. Would not recommend.
It was a good short read but didn't hold my attention the whole time. I also don't understand how she didn't realize who he was and why all the mirrors were covered but maybe that's just me being picky 😅.

A superb telling of The Count...A fitting end to three great stories by three different authors. Reading about Hyde and Gray was fun so is this one. A must read.
His handsomeness was timeless. The power radiating from him felt dangerous
If you like a story with little plot and a lot of spice this is definitely for you. I enjoyed the detail of how descriptive this story was, this was definitely the best at describing the scenes out of the whole series.
I really don’t see how the relationship was formed in this instance it was as if a turn of a page and everyone was completely smitten and I hated how instant lovey this was. Again, if this was a full story and I think it would give us some time to learn the characters and the plot a lot better. I wish the author had slowed the place down just a little and put more into building an actual story within this dark romance.
This series just unfortunately constantly fell flat for me, it was as if all of them had good potential and at the end it just always felt short at some points.
Also, the damn ginger scene will forever be burned into my head!!!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This book is short and sweet and super hot. It is included in the Stalked By A Monster series.
Jasmina Harker is an up and coming real estate agent who is sent to the estate of Dmitri Alucard, “The Count”. Dmitri decided he wanted Mina before she ever knew he existed and now is his chance. She is spending a week at his estate that he is thinking about selling. Now there is nothing that specifically states what kind of “monster” Alucard is but I am sure readers will infer from clues.
Ms. Harker is given one rule and after a week finds herself breaking that rule and incurring a punishment that leaves wanting more. As usual Sara Fields has a knack for pulling readers into her main character’s mind. Their thought processes and trying to come to grip with the physical reaction these punishments evoke.
This book will definitely make readers want to continue with this series. The other two books are written by other authors. I am interested to see how they get readers to be ok with the punishments doled out.
As a person who doesn't read much paranormal romance, I gave this one a go. Unfortunately, I can't say I enjoyed it. The book was heavy in well-written detail, however, that's all I can say I liked about it. There was no real plot and it seemed as if things were happening just because they could. There was no driving force other than The Count getting what he wants. I read a lot of stalker/ dark romances but the Count just came off as creepy. Sorry to say this is not a book I'll be recommending to anyone.

I’d been seeing hints of this series for the last couple weeks and I’ve been super interested in reading all of them. The Count is a fast-paced story between Mina and The Count. If you’ve read the original story, then you know what this one is based on and it’s delightfully naughty in all the right ways that will leave you breathless and yearning for more. Or at the very least, wanting to read it again. And again.
Dimitri is going to a meeting and he sees Jasmina on campus and he knows she has to be his. So he maneuvers her into coming to his estate. Dimitri is dark, powerful and all alpha. Jasmina thinks she is there to help him sell his estate for her firm but she is so wrong. He basically keeps her prisoner with punishments, humiliation, pleasure and pain. They have this undeniable chemistry but will Dimitri be too much for Jasmina?
Dimitri is a bit of a puzzle, he seems to be a bit of a recluse but when he sees Jasmina, he knows that he wants her. What will happen when he discovers her in his home and decides to punish her? Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and sizzling scenes. Lots of mystery in this read and I wouldn’t mind a second book to learn more of their secrets. I liked it.
Great read. Dark romance. I would love to read an extended version of this story. There are so many unanswered questions. Nonetheless I really enjoyed The Count and Jasmina.
The Count by Sara Fields is book three in the trilogy of part of Stalked by a Monster by various best-selling authors. It's, kinky, hot, and decadent and twisted. A fast paced, intense quick novella. It's well written with well developed characters and well thought storyline. The story is told from a first person point of view. The Count is a retelling of Dracula. It contains lies, deception, secrets, lust, passion, pleasure and pain, captive/captor, opposite attracts, insta-love, control, age gap, obsession, possessiveness, rape, forced proximity, madness, spanking, angst, captivity, dominance, submission, anger, torture, BDSM, rough intense sexual scenes, stalking, steam, pain, power, control, orgasm withheld, manipulations, surprises, spice and love. It started off with Dmitri Alucard going to London for business to meet with his a longtime acquaintance and family Dorian Gray who told him about a business proposition that he couldn't turn away from. He was going to make the introduction to Edward Hyde who has special type of drug that he was interested in and would catapult his business even further. They agreed to meet at a gentleman's men club. On his way to meeting from home in Edinburgh his driver was driving through the University of campus when he saw a sight that would change his world forever. He saw beautiful young woman with dark mahogany curls and from the moment he saw her with her friend and eyes briefly contact, he knew that she would be his and his wife. So. Disappointing. My favorite book (Dracula) + my favorite kink should = a perfect read for me, and at first I thought it was, but no.
The first third of this book was amazing, 5 stars. The setup was alluring, the details tying it to the source material were great, the first sex scene was long and detailed and kinky. Then it just bombed. Except for the short first chapter, the story is told entirely from Mina’s point of view. After the first sex scene, nothing happens. Mina spends a month feeling sexually frustrated and being ignored. This could have worked well if we had The Count’s POV. If he had been watching her, enjoying her sexual frustration, plotting how he would use it against her, but no, I just spent the next third of the book getting clam jammed by the author. When we finally get to the second (and last) full sex scene, Mina is suddenly overcome with shame. It’s not a logical kind of shame, like ‘I shouldn’t want this man who is holding me captive in his castle’ but deep shame with absolutely no thoughts or feelings behind it. And the ‘shameful’ thing dominates the entire scene as the word is used 2-3 times per page. With no thoughts behind it, it comes across that desire and being dominated are inherently shameful. Then this deeply shameful sex convinces her that she really does want to stay and she is in love. I am a big fan of insta-love, but with zero connection between the pair and no personality to back it up in either character, even I found that a bit eye-roll worthy, especially without any mystical element to explain it.
With the couple spending most of the book apart, characters with no depth and no motivation, only one point of view, and sex shaming, I have to consider this a fail. A Dracula retelling with spanking that utterly fails, THAT is shameful.
… but genuinely you could make a drinking game out of how many times the word virgin is said in the first 5 chapters.
Arousal gets second place. “Amused arousal” ; “anxious arousal” ✨ W H Y ✨
Next up is the plot. I don’t believe you have to wait for a good let’s-take-our-clothes-off scene, but there wasn’t even any tensions and she has only had breakfast with him? Like 😭 W H A T ? 😭
And then the “deep down I knew” and “in my heart I knew” — can we be past this? We get it, you feel shame probably cause there’s ginger root in your booty. (No shame if this is your thing - j very new to me).
Additionally, “pelt” my insides is just funny to me. Is this a Nerf war?
Finally, he bends her over one minute and then nothing for like .. a month? Like of course she tried talking to his staff. WTF else was she supposed to do there? Is she supposed to sit in her room until summoned??
Update: chapter 8, another virgin hole, awesome.
Finally (x2): this could have been a billionaire romance. There was no real “count” anything - and I guess I get that the author made a couple references but not enough to warrant the title being Count.
Giving 2 stars because it does scratch an itch in the “billionaire romance” / “flight read” category.

This is part of the Stalked By A Monster series each book can be read as a standalone in under an hour or so each one with a sexy crazy man and the girl who captures his undivided attention …okay all of his attention so to speak 😊. Dmitri sexy as all get out vampire, with a touch of crazy, a little sadist in his obsession and he has his sights set on the sweet real estate agent. Jasmina intelligent real estate agent doesn’t notice the man who has been following her career and decides to open up Count castle for a showing and personally ask for her to ready it for sale of course there isn’t going to be a sale. Dmitri just needed to get her there to make her the one woman he has be obsessed with for such a long time. The attraction is there, it is intense and the pull neither of them can ignore especially after telling her to stay in one room and she decides to go exploring which of coursed earned her a punishment (but they do say curiosity killed the cat) in her case earned her a punishment. But will she survive his darkness, will she be okay with the way he handled getting her there, and can they find happiness somewhere through it all?.

This was genuinely a horrible read - not because of the dark themes, but because the writing itself was confusing, poorly structured, and amateurish. The bizarre spacing and choppy paragraphs made it feel like a first-draft Wattpad fanfic, and the story was nothing but nonstop sex with almost no plot to support it.
The “little girl” nickname was nauseating, and the fact that the heroine’s first sexual experience is essentially coerced is disturbing. Nothing about it reads as love; it reads as outright abuse. The imagery the author chose was not only implausible but also uncomfortable to the point of being off-putting. I honestly have no idea how the author thought any of this was acceptable or romantic.
I enjoy dark romance and spice, but this crossed firmly into abusive and non-consensual territory. On top of that, the late attempt to tie the story into some kind of vampire-human lore was laughable, especially since the earlier books didn’t even follow that worldbuilding.
Overall, this was a messy, uncomfortable, and poorly executed read. Absolutely a shit show.
