Andrea Phillips lost her father and nearly lost her son to the elements after an ill-fated backpacking trip to the mountains. Wyatt Merrill and his father Jack had risked their own lives to help, and she could never thank them enough. When her son Jeffrey struggles in the aftermath, she makes the move to Cherry Blossom Point to be closer to Wyatt and her new job writing an advice column for the local newspaper. She never expects to meet and lock horns with the town’s grouchiest mechanic, and she certainly never expects to start wondering what that scruffy jawline would feel like beneath her fingertips… Lena Merrill’s wish has finally come true. Her family of two has just become a family of four, and she couldn’t be happier. But even as baby Addy settles in quickly, Sam is struggling. And who could blame him? He’s suffered so much loss in his young life. Now it’s up to Lena and Owen to prove that they are truly his forever family…and they aren’t going anywhere.
Now that she’s found a cache of buried treasure, PI Fallyn Rappaport doesn’t have to worry about money. She can take the cases that move her. When she hears about the kidnapping of six-year-old Wren “Birdie” Hazelton, she leaves Bluebird Bay and heads straight to Cherry Blossom Point to help. But when she arrives, she finds a tangled web of lies and deception.
Can she find Birdie before it’s too late, or will this latest case end in tragedy?

When I finished this one I thought "What an excellent way to wrap up this sweet series!" Pleasantly surprised to see that there is one more to go. In a world of strife and sadness it's so lovely to be invited to escape to the wonderful community of Cherry Blossom Point and catch up with all the folks we've come to care about.
This was an excellent read. Start to finish I was in engaged thoroughly. Excellent character development, and the various storylines were very well written. I highly recommend this book and this series as a whole.
What a great series and I love the crossover between Cherry Blossom Point and Bluebird Bay. This series is a step away from my normal genre but I like it. Can't wait for the next one but kinda sad it's the last one.
5 stars for Jump Start (Cherry Blossom Point Book 8). This series just keeps getting better and better. Love the crossover characters and the new characters.
Fast read that didn’t do much for me. I guess that’s what I get for jumping into the middle of a series, especially one with so many characters. I liked the Andrea/Cole story best.
Loved this book and the whole series. Can't wait for the last book. I enjoy the continuation of previous characters and the introduction of new characters.
