It’s been a year since Shadow’s world was rocked and filled with a presence so intense only to realize it was just a dream. Or was it? That presence, by the name of Ghost, resurfaces just in time for Halloween, only to realize there’s a new thug in Shadow’s life.
Torn, confused and going through the motions, Shadow attempts to enjoy the spooky holiday while Ghost forces her to make a choice. A ghost or a goon? Who will she choose? Will this Halloween turn out to be as special as the last one? Or, will this year mark the reason to never celebrate it again?

Life Choices 👻 or 🥷🏾
"I had one man asking me to come be with him and another man basically asking for my soul so we could be together."
It's a year after Shadow had that life changing interaction with Ghost 👻. He left her with a ring 💍 and a sweet little Pumpkin 🎃. How that was possible, I don't know but I was here for it.
Shadow had moved on and had elevated her life with a new job, new house, and man...oop. Ghost returning made her steps forward complicated, even though she was clear where her heart was she wanted something real. So, she had to choose between Ghost or her Goon.
This ending was interesting, it didn't quite make sense nor was it realistic but it's a novella and I was here for it 🤷🏾♀️ I was confused on the package part...since time went back she was pregnant with her Pumpkin, so what was the package? 🤔
Chile anyway it's a cute quick read and I'm glad we got a little more of Ghost and Shadow.

better than expected
Part two concluded a great story. I really enjoy the dynamic between the male main character, and the female main character would definitely recommend part one and part two specially for Halloween.

Ok this was really cute. Reminds me of an adult version of a Disney Halloween movie. I enjoyed this story and welcome the outcome. However, I was hoping for a little party of three even though Ghost wasn't having it.

A HALLOWEEN SPECIAL
This was a nice short read. Ghost is back to spend time with Shadow and his sweet Bella. No one would ever believe how they came to be and the dynamic of their relationship but one thing that is undeniable is their love for each other. I loved the flashbacks in time it was so sweet which was a Halloween Shadow would never forget.

This is book II of a duology.
The MMC returned for another Halloween for book 2 and I needed to know what was going to happen.
While I’m not mad at the outcome, I thought it would have gone differently.
I expected a “fight for the girl” kind of situation.
I enjoyed the 1st book better but I’m glad I got to see where the story ended up.

How Shadow got pregnant by Ghost (a literal ghost) is wild but hey it’s not real anything is possible. Bc I’m like well is the baby half ghost. 🧐🤔 Then Ghost of course comes back for Halloween a year later and he walks through the damn wall with the baby. 😳😳😳 And I guess Ghost and Big G worked out a way that she could return to the past to save his life??
And if this is the end of their story why was the package of the pumpkin such a mystery?!?!

Cute Story
I really liked this story. It was short but I enjoyed how Ghost became real and got a second chance at life. I’ll look forward to more from this author.

I was so excited to pull Book 2 from my KU shelf to continue Ghost & Shadow's story! I am happy with the ending but I wouldn't mind having more! I can honestly say, this is the first book that I actually loved and enjoyed all of the characters (Shadow, Ghost, Goonie & Bella). Imagine missing the only person that seemed to make your world and your life complete, would you truly be able to move on? Maybe you weren't going crazy after all. Would you remember all of the signs dropped in your path to remember someone you promised not to forget? What if that person left you with the ultimate gifts of life that anyone would ask for?

TEAM GHOST BABY!!!!! We finally get to see what the “gift” was he left for Shadow. And baby you will never guess what it is!
Omg! The way he was with pumpkin 🎃 I was over here grinning ear to ear!
Goonie was a good man Savannah. But, that damn Ghost ? He just does it for me every single time. Even though he stressed us out a lil’ bit. 😂 — Sis definitely got a type! lol and they make sure my girl is GOODT! She got her happily ever after, because my boy Ghost don’t play about his shadow. 🤭🎃🖤

It's Alright
Sometimes a book should stay a DNF. I decided my reason to stop was kind of silly since this is a Paranormal book, the 3 month old infant was saying words like "dada" and "punkin". I DNFd but handwaved it that duh it's a Paranormal read so give it a go. I picked the book back up and, the author has these great concepts. I'm already suspending belief, which I agreed to do when I picked up a book with a ghost as a MMC. None of that bothered me but so much of it kept pulling more and more on that suspension string. I get we have a ghost Baby Daddy but does every single situation have to be a little outlandish? Should everything be handwaved to "well it's Paranormal"? And that was a major bother. By the time the last 20% came I didn't like the constant repetition with the central conflict. I also didn't like how immature the FMC came off at times. The baby being some 3 month old genius made me unsure of the tone or vibes here. Like was this meant to be horror/paranormal comical orrrr...I was left hanging on how I was supposed to feel about that. And the last act snapped the disbelief suspension band in halve.

The flashbacks added warmth and emotional weight, showing just how far they’ve traveled to be deserving of this peace.

These were two short stories with a cool concept, but they just didn’t work for me. The connection felt rushed, though the spice was good. I wasn’t a fan of the endings in either book. My favorite part of book two would be a spoiler, so I’ll just say I enjoyed the comedy that came with that surprise.
Shadow does get love, some healing, and a bit of closure. It’s a short read worth trying. Let me know if you liked it more than me.

I so freaking happy for Shadow and Ghost... Ghost making a permanent return to secure his family has to be the most amazing thing ever. I loved this short it gave me all the holiday feels plus more. I can't wait to see what's next for the happy couple. Definitely need more reads from this author who knows how to pen some amazing reads

Just alright
While I did enjoy this novlla, I did not enjoy it as much as the first one. Shadows indecisiveness for who she wanted to be with, and her attitude towards 'Ghost just irked me!
There are also grammatical errors throughout the book. So that was annoying. Despite that, the story was still enjoyable, and I was happy to see these two get their happily-ever-after!

He wasn’t letting up & he dang sure wasn’t giving her to Goonie. I will say at the end of book 1 he made her promise to be happy & she did but not his way! I’m glad she was able to give him what he gave her!

Him being
I can't lie I laughed out loud so many times with my boy being from 2000s. I loved this short and finished it quickly. This felt so fleshed out even with it being a novella. I love authors that can accomplish so much in a short time. On to part two but I love a good holiday book! No regrets picking this up. Y'all get into it !

nice read
This was an ok read I liked the first book better. However since when does a 3 month old talk? They can barely hold their head up let alone say dada, no dada and pumpkin. If that was the case you should’ve made the baby older than what she was. Other than that the book was okay.

I loved this short and sweet addition to Shadow & Ghost’s story. I love them together and this Halloween was more perfect than their last. Bella is my fav Lil’ Pumpkin 🎃 I wonder what Halloween 2023 will bring.

I don’t even have the words. These books was everything. I loved everything about it. Ghost Ghost Ghost…. The loved that ghost had for her and the baby was everything. The way he made her go back and save him so they could be together forever was just special.
