A spell-binding new adventure from acclaimed performer and bestselling author Carrie Hope Fletcher.

They won't have to wait long - there are three new kids in town and they're all behaving very mysteriously . . .

The Double Trouble Society and the Worst Curse by Carrie Hope Fletcher is the second book of The Double Trouble Society series. After Ivy and Maggie helped saving Crowood Peak from a murderous witch, peace and calm settled over the town. But the witches Emerald and Amethyst feel something demonic and new students arrive at school that don't seem totally human. A new adventure awaits the Double Trouble Society.
This is such a wonderful autumn read. It even included my favourite fantasy creatures: vampires and werewolves (even though I LOVE fae as well, but more in NA and adult books). The book was lovely to read. The Double Trouble Society has such an amazing bond. All members are such different personalities, but they stick together no matter what. However, Ivy annoyed me in this book. She was quite mean in this one. I didn't picture her as such. But apart from that I enjoyed the read.
The second book included more fantasy creatures, which I loved. It's quite an autumnal read and perfect for rainy days.
A great, spooky middle grade for younger readers! It was a little bit young for me and just a tad bit too whimsical, but that was just a personal opinion - otherwise it was great fun, and the illustrations were beautiful! TW for mentions of death, mentions of murder, kidnapping of a child, near-death of a child, threats of death, mentions of bullying.
seeing what life is like one year on and seeing who is new to town but getting there the same, without knowing each other. making new friends and working together with a much bigger society with bringing down a demon and yes that's right a demon. the way the book ended i am hoping there is a third book fingers crossed.
This was really enjoyable, I loved the story in this one and it felt much more developed than the first book in this series. It's definitely on the younger reader side but still had enough in it to keep me reading.
Ill at home, can't focus on actually reading so got the audiobook read by Carrie herself. I love listening to her voice and this middlegrade book was perfect to entertain me while in bed wishing the fever away.
I really enjoyed the 2nd book in this series, and the storyline had me wanting to know more again. If I was a child reading this I would definitely enjoy it too!
Started and finished date - 05.01.25 to 06.02.25. My rating - three Stars. This book was okay read but I didn't love it and the cover of book was okay also the book need be flash out bit more. Both the writing and the paced of plot was okay. The atmosphere and the the ending of the book was okay. The characters was fine but I would have like them flash out bit more
Totally amazing read. Great book yet again by Carrie. I read it 2 days. Which is amazing for me but I did read it, the majority of it on my New kindle basic '22
