Ignatius and the Battle at Dinas Affaraon

Rate this book
The sweat pours from his brow…as Iggy forges a sword from a meteorite.

Will it be the weapon to save them?

As the evil and obsessed Emperor Mallak plans to kill Iggy for his crystal amulet, Iggy is distracted by Raraesa. His crush makes it hard to focus, but he’s becoming a master smith. With that comes the muscles that will make him a great fighter, too.

There’s just one problem. A dark wizard, a Death Knight, and five thousand soldiers have been tasked with hunting him down.

Where will he hide?

The mysteries of the Nostaw Warrior still haunt Iggy. There must be a reason he was given the sword and he prays it will help him return to his place and time, but Pennsylvania seems far off.

Is the answer on the Island of Cambria?

You’ll love this second book in this YA, coming of age fantasy, because the looming battle could be epic, and might change Iggy’s life.

I have the first book on my shelf at home which I absolutely adored so im glad I was requested to read this one as well. It was so worth the read.

My favorite scene or part is him forging the sword out of a piece of meterite. I love that it makes for such a uniqueness to the storyline and really pulls you into it.

The second book of the Ignatius series did NOT disappoint! Questions were answered with new plot twists. It’s a fantasy journey well worth taking.

The characters come to life and pull you into their magical web. The lands are so vividly written you feel as if you are there...... or wish you could be. Life lessons learned though the ventures. And cheers to Rareisa for her desire to teach women to care for themselves. Bravo to all the heroic characters and to the author that brought them to light.

Mucci’s writing quickly grasp your attention and allows your own imagination to view his characters, landscapes, towns, and creatures in both his novels. Once you pick up the book you can’t break away.

This second book in the Ignatius series finds the protagonist slowly maturing into a young adult. While still maintaining some of his naivety, he has learned to accept the need for patience and growth if he is to accomplish the task that was set before him from the Nostaw warrior. He still has many hurdles ahead to overcome.

As always, Mucci's imagination provides us with vivid descriptions of the strange and magical world Iggy now inhabits. He skillfully weaves additional threads into the story line, and it will be interesting to see how they all tie together as this saga unfolds. I eagerly await the next installment.

worst second book to a good first

I don’t know what happened to this series. It feels like the author decided instead of continuing a good story and character development, he just wanted to go woke and preach women r better at everything. So disappointed I won’t be reading anything else by this author

The story continues...

The author has done a great job with his storytelling and you can feel the story building up. There are lots of characters at play and are all connected together. There are also some plot twists that I did not see coming and some that you can almost guess at. Very good book and will read next one in series.

Ignatius Series Book 2

Iggy continues his adventures with another quest. Iggy continues to learn Runes and Spellcraft. Iggy finds both friends and shines at every turn. These adventures are powerful and fun to read, I really enjoy reading "Coming of age" tales and this is a great one!

Great read

It's a good thing I'm retired since I haven't been able to put this one down. I think I'll be sad to see this trilogy end
