A champion bull. A rancher at his wit’s end. And a family searching for a brighter future.
Rancher Mark Smith dreams of transforming his ranch into Texas’ number one spot to buy prize-winning Longhorn cattle. But between the slew of illegal border crossings and the hostility of the neighboring cartel, his ranch – and his livelihood – are constantly at risk.

Desperately clinging to the dream of a better life for his wife and their unborn child, Tomas Suárez and his family make the treacherous journey across the Rio Grande River. But when he’s greeted by the end of Mark's rifle, the compassion of the irate rancher’s wife Emma becomes their only lifeline.

Mark resents helping the illegals who are making his life so difficult. Forced into an uneasy truce with Tomas, the two families must find a way to overcome their differences. All the while, the cartel is lurking in the background... and Mark’s ranch could be in more danger than he ever imagined.

Can Mark overcome his blind hatred of illegals? Or will his prejudices cost him everything?

As a deep and thoughtful book that artfully weaves together suspense and action with modern-day struggles, Broken is a heartwarming and redeeming tale of two families, set in a gritty yet beautiful Texas backdrop. Scroll up and grab your copy today.

I wondered about this book until I got into it & then I found it hard to put down!
Tomas & Isabella are illegal entrants into the USA. They crossed the Rio Grande river one night. In doing so they lost contact with her grandfather. They take shelter under a bush & laterToms notices a hole cut in the fence. They crawl through & notice lights from a house. On knocking they are met by a man with a gun, but, his wife Emma invites them in as Isabella is giving birth, to a healthy boy. Mark Smith is furious with Emma & the “illegals” as he insisted on calling them. There is trouble on his ranch & via a friend of Emma’s we meet up again wit the 4 Bros. There is heaps going on in this convoluted story, but a very good read.

I loved this book and of course binge read it. I loved Emma and her compassion and trusting people. I loved how Mark came to his senses before it was too late.I also love how you manage to continue with some of the same characters from your previous Novel. I highly recommend reading this book.

Awesome

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that Mark & Emma make up & that the other couple got married. I was happy that the King was going to be ok. Would have glad it if they were able to catch Mugil before he got away.
