A grand spiritual adventure awaits outside your doorstep. Come explore and take a walk with God down your street.
Using walks as a tool for spiritual development is largely untapped in the world. Yet a vast reservoir of potential awaits any spiritual seeker who chooses to utilize this wonderful tool. A love breathing, walking meditation offers a reliable, repeatable routine for experiencing a joyful, loving communion with the Divine, with God, with each walk taken.
With revelation, inspiration, exploration, and over a decade of trial & refinement the author has uncovered this simple, yet effective routine to help one commune with the Divine, with God during a half hour walk. It relies on a method to actively coax oneself into a state of divine communion, rather than trying to brute force oneself or alternately just idling hoping communion occurs. These coaxing concepts are general, they can be applied to many different spiritual practices beyond just walking.
A Beautiful Surprise! I would love to share that I received this book because I was chosen as a "Giveaway Winner." Thank you, Goodreads! 🧡 My initial thought, "This book was Relaxing to read." BOOK INFO: Publisher - Self-Published Author - Eric Munro Page Count - 125 Format - Paperback Genre - Spiritual, Self-Help, Holistic Medicine, Meditation, Introspection Title(s) - Love Breathing for College Students Audience - NA 18+ ISBN 13: 979-8859707560
Summary: The Author shares their spiritual growth experiences by adopting conscientious breathing and walking exercises throughout daily tasks. Combining a deliberate focus on God as the anchor of personal well-being, The reader is challenged to try incorporating a little "Love Breathing" into what could otherwise be considered mundane life. It is suggested by the Author to try the various techniques in different settings as no two persons are the same. It stands to reason that no two walking locations or daily schedules will be able to incorporate each activity equally and that readers/practitioners should change things up from time to time.
Pros: Just over 100 pages, graphs, quotable quotes, clean white pages.
Cons: No professional endorsements or disclaimers for readers who might not be healthy enough to engage in breathing or walking exercises. There is no quick index of exercises for the reader to consult at a glance without this book.
Recommendation: Adherents of Judeo-Christian spiritual traditions looking to add a physical meditation dynamic to their inner development/self-awareness can add this as a companion piece to their regular scripture reading.
My Favorite Line: (Actually, another quote) " How long can the moth flirt near the mouth of the flame before their lips touch and the moth's soul becomes like a sun? How long do you think you can just flirt with Him before you dissolve in ecstasy?" - Meister Eckhart

Overall, I think this was a good introduction to walking meditation. The instructions were easy to follow and I very much like the love breathing technique. I followed the techniques taught in the book a few weeks before writing this review and can say that I've enjoyed using them. I find that my seated meditation is a lot deeper after following the walking meditation.
One critique - I would have moved the final section of the book (which focuses on general meditation techniques) up before the walking meditation instructions. Having an overview of the foundation for regular meditation earlier made more sense to me.
Interested readers, please note: this book has a close focus on God, though the author does makes an effort to be inclusive. If you are not someone who is religious or follows the Abrahamic God, you may find yourself distracted from the instructions.
Otherwise, it's an easy to follow instruction book.
I won this book through GoodReads First Read program.
I love God. I love to walk. I take my dog on a two-mile walk every day. I pray but have never meditated. This book was short but interesting. Munro gives you his background and how he developed his walking meditation.
The most helpful part of the book for me was the section on meditating beginners. I fell into that camp. Also helpful is the 14 sections covering what needs to be done to do the walking, breathing meditation program. I am attempting this. You are instructed to spend a week on each section and progress toward the full program in 14 weeks. I am working through this. I hope it works for me.
As a Christian and someone who meditates, I was not enthralled with this book. I could never imagine getting into a deep, meditative state while walking. It just sounds too dangerous to me, unless you can find a flat, no tripping hazards, no traffic place to walk. Not possible in my rural area. While this may be a good way for mature believers to connect with God, new believers and seekers would probably get more joy by learning about all of the love and goodness of God. If one doesn't already know this in their hearts, how could they possibly find joy in a God they don't know? Many have misconceptions about God and how He loves us. Trying to connect with a God that one thinks will punish them or causes them pain would just drive them further away. #GoodreadsGiveaway

Lovely small meditation book that provides a means to practicing the presence of God, and by extension to the practice of LOVING God in every moment of daily life. The author’s recommendation to use walks as a tool for spiritual development is largely unknown, but the author spotlights how easily this tenet can be incorporated into daily life. A very inspiring, faith-filled book that will lead readers to look at walking in an entirely new way. Not only can walks provide needed clarity and exercise in life, but they can also be a vehicle to attain much needed inner peace.
I like the book very much and the extra that came with it. The author asks you to give it a week before reviewing. I gave it over a month. I found that the instructions, if you follow them to the letter, for me, put me in a better frame of mind to deal with things...
If you do not look for specifics, you'll be in great shape with this book. Again, I like the book very much but it needs another regimen if you're looking for ways to deal with deep seated problems.
Although this book seems well written and the author goes through the meditation step by step I could not get into the routine. I do a daily walk and connect with God during my walks, but following this meditation process seemed like too much work for me. I do not follow a meditation practice and thought this might be something to use to get into practice, but this process just seems too complicated for me. I do give credit to Eric for sharing a practice that works for him.
Personal experiences on meditating by author. I will try to be more conscious of practicing my walks in the manner of this author. Even as I read his book, I could feel that this would be very relaxing and meditative. I won this book through Goodreads and enjoyed all that he had to share. He also included a second book, Dharna's Cow, which was a bonus. Very personal ideas shared throughout.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Love Breathing Walking Meditation offers a serene and enlightening exploration of mindfulness, energy, and self-discovery. With practical guidance and spiritual wisdom, it’s a perfect read for anyone looking to deepen their practice, enhance their well-being, and connect with their inner self.

Lovely little book to help you slow down and connect yourself to the larger world. It is simple and easy to understand. Very nice. Makes you feel good.
I was lucky enough to get this book by a giveaway. It was a very relaxing, fast read. Although this technique doesn't work for everyone, he clarifies that in the very beginning.
