Thalia is a new author born and raised in Puerto Rico, the same place where she lives, and constantly complains about the heat. She started writing at a very young age and soon discovered that craziness was what she wanted to do in life.
When she's not writing you can find her procrastinating on Instagram, pinning things on Pinterest, and laughing at memes. She has an endless love for dogs (and animals in general).
This was really cute and hot. The writing in this book was a huge improvement from the last book. But the dialogue still needed some fluency.
I liked both the characters much better. Ryder and Ash were adorable after they got together as a couple. Ryder was seriously so sweet and caring. It was so satisfying to see Ash finally stand up for herself.
There was loads of smutty scenes in this book. Like damn.
My fav scene was definitely the “you came?”, “you called...” That shit just hits different.

As someone who has the honor of getting to read this beauty as it was written, and read it several times I can genuinely say it’s amazing. I can’t wait for you the world to meet Ash and Ryder 🥹🫶
I am truly in love with this book. I have not read a book where I loved it as much as I did, in a long time. I wish I could crawl inside this book and be apart of it. If I were to individually list everything I loved about this book, we'd probably be here for hours, so to sum it up, I loved everything. This book was pure perfect. I have literally 0 things I didn't like about this book. I devoured this book in a couple of hours and I feel like I still can't get enough. I didn't want the book to finish but I also couldn't stop reading. You know the term BI PANIC? That's what I was having with these characters. There isn't a word in the English dictionary to describe how hot Ash and Ryder are. I can't decide who I want more. Actually, screw it, I'm marrying them both! I love them like they're mine. Their chemistry of off the charts! This has officially become one of my safe books. When I'm having a bad day, this is going to be one of the books I'm running to. The comfort this books and the characters(the entire friend group) is insane. I can't get enough of this author. I'm about the go through her entire backlist. This book has engraved itself into my soul! It's living rent free in my head and I don't mind at all! I need more! I really hope at the end of this series we get a Novella with all the characters because I don't think I could ever say a final goodbye to all these characters. They will stay with me forever. This book had me kicking, screaming, smiling and laughing with happiness.
One of the best prologues I have ever read, the conversation between Ash and Ryder sets the mood and vibe right for the story. The story is fast-paced just the way I like and is in dual pov. It’s always best to know what goes on in the mind of the other main lead. It’s the first book I read from Thalia and the writing is quite mesmerizing.
The story is based on a simple trope of friends with benefits which never goes as the people involved planned it to go. There’s always something or the other which has to go sideways and that ditto went with Ash & Ryder but I loved the way it went. The banter between them is hilarious and will make you smile even on sad occasions.
The climax is heartbreaking but with the problems Ash had in her life, it was completely necessary and justifiable. A Phoenix depicts Ash perfectly and Ryder is the one who can see the depth Ash kept hidden. The chemistry is undeniably steamy and adorable. I am excited to see what comes next in this interconnected standalone series. Waiting for C&J now.
The banter is top tier. Even though I read book 2 first I didn't feel like missed this book. I definitely plan to go back and the first book and finish the series. Ok back to the book. Ash and Ryder have great chemistry but most importantly they communicate with each other. Friends with benefits never work but at least these two recognizes when the shift started to happen. Well before Ryder almost did something stupid. The characters read a bit older so I wonder would if aging them up would have been better idk just a thought. A tad bit long especially with the tension at the end. I felt like the gravity of the violation needed space to unpack. But the found family and the message of not having to everything alone was really heartwarming.
CN: child abuse, neglect, absentee father, rape, harassment, revenge porn, underage drinking, exploitation, gaslighting, death of a parent
This edit doesn't and will never do this book justice if I'm being honest. I loved it so much and totally lived up to my expectations for it.
Ash and Ryder's story has been a long time coming and it was perfect. At least for me I guess. Best friends with benefits to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, add boy obsessed and you're after my heart. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts, their banter was fun and overall their dynamic was sweet and so adorable too.
Ash is baby! She's been through a lot and reading about her and witnessing her growth was simply beautiful! As for Ryder... He's baby too but I guess differently 👀 iykwim. I loved reading about his art and I loved how sweet and supportive of Ash he was.
Honorable mention to the side characters because I love them all. Their friend group has one of my favorite dynamics and I can't wait to get all their stories!
The author mentions the tw at the beginning of the book, but just in case be prepared because some themes were heartbreaking and could be triggering.

✔ Friends to Lovers ✔ Friends with Benefits ✔ Rich guy/Working girl ✔ Guy falls first
Ashleigh "Ash" Moore and Ryder Weiss meet through their respective best friends who are dating, and become best friends themselves. On NYE, after Ryder reads Ash's new year's resolutions, they decide to do the friends with benefits thing. Both are adamant that they don't want a relationship, and promise each other not to "catch feelings".
I loved Ash and Ryder's friendship, and adored how they supported each other. Their banter was superb, and just so flirtatious and dirty. Ryder is definitely book boyfriend material. He went out of his way to show Ash how special she was to him and was intent on making her happy. He helped break down the walls she put up around herself.
If you want sexy banter and laughs, definitely recommend this book.
Okay wow. I loved this book from start to finish. Ryder was so hot and had such a filthy mouth. I seriously loved all of the characters, well besides her mom obviously... Ryder is a SIMP and I ate it up so fast. I cannot wait to read more from Thalia, especially with these characters. Thalia is for sure a new auto buy author for me. I loved how much Ryder genuinely cared for Ash. She really did need that in her life. They are truly made for one another & it shows. I genuinely feel so sad that I have to say goodbye to these characters for now. Ryder & Ash have my heart forever. One of my new favorite couples completely.
“I swear my heart skips a beat because Ryder is probably the first man who truly gets me. He’s the only one who sees me for who I really am and not for the girl they want me to be.” - rating: 5⭐️/5 - trope: friends with benefits, college romance - Thank you so much to the author for the arc of this book. All of my thoughts are my own. I loved this book so much, it was so addicting. Ryder and Ash were just amazing. Ash is badass, Ryder is the biggest simp for her but it’s so cute. Their relationship was everything from the beginning to the end.
Thank you to the author, Thalia Sanchez, for the arc! I am leaving my review voluntarily 💖
Some notable tropes in this book: Friends to Lovers Friends w/ Benefits Boy Falls First *I recommend checking TW for this book before diving in*
Sweet Desire is about Ryder & Ash, who become friends through their best friends (who are dating). When Ryder finds out that one of Ash’s New Year’s resolutions is to get laid more often…. he proposes that they add the benefits to their friendship 🫢
The banter in this book is top notch 🤌🏼 so flirty, and dirty. This book has plenty of spice to keep you all satisfied. Ash has trauma she’s keeping locked up.. & it so sweet to see how Ryder slowly helps knock down her walls and opening up. It was so nice to see how they supported each other throughout the book.
I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for the series!
-friends to lovers -friends with benefits -boy falls first -rich boy/working girl
The attraction & chemistry between these two were off the charts & Ash is so feisty, I just eat that up!! They both held their own & the banter between the two were really great!! Under all the great spice there was a real deep story of the mental manipulation Ash has had to deal with in her life & it was told so well!
🇮🇹 Ci tengo a ringraziare l’autrice per avermi dato l’opportunità di leggere il suo libro in anteprima.
ᴄᴏꜱᴀ ᴛʀᴏᴠᴇʀᴀɪ? 📌 Friends with benefits 📌 Lui è ricco 📌 College 📌 Scene spicy 📌 Lui si innamora per primo 📌 Found family
ʟᴀ ᴍɪᴀ ᴏᴘɪɴɪᴏɴᴇ ✅ Friends with benefits.
Qᴜᴇ ᴇɴᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀʀᴀꜱ? 📌 Friends with benefits 📌 Él es rico 📌 College 📌 Escenas spicy 📌 Él se enamora primero 📌 Found family
ᴍɪ ᴏᴘɪɴɪᴏɴ ✅ Friends with benefits.
I’m glad that I went for that book. I wouldn’t have missed it for anything. Ryder, the artist and Ash, the model. You think based on that you would have figured their story to come. But you couldn't be further from the truth. Ryder really sees Ash for the first time at a halloween party, despite their best friends are in the way of becoming a couple. So, Ryder gets Ash’s friendship through text messages first. Then they meet from time to time and solidify their friendship.
…Truth to be told, I shouldn’t even be here…
But that changes on new years eve. Ryder went out of the way and spent that evening with her. And they become closer. In the way that they become friends with benefits. And an excuse to give in to their attraction.
No wonder girls are obsessed with him
With the no feelings clause at hand, it sure happens what is not meant to. Feelings get caught. And slowly after a few hurdles Ryder and Ash commit to each other. That is when things get out of hand. Not everyone is on their side. Hearts get broken, betrayal is done and pain gets caused and ends in a break up. A net of jealousy and envy is webbed and has to be entangled. But the truth comes out and important decisions have to be made on both sides. Can there be a light at the end of the tunnel?
“...Do whatever you need to do, but please come back to me…”
I loved Ryder a lot, his casualness, open mind and his way with everyone. Cute to see him fall for the first time without him knowing it.
“I love you, like I’m yours.”
I really loved how Ash slowly loosened up and lived. And their dialogues were awesome. No one wanted to give in or admit first. But how Ash handled things at least and expressed her feelings was heartwarming.
Don’t let them silence you to please their needs when yours are the only ones that matter.”
Sweet Desire by Thalia Sanchez ✨Book Review✨
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
”Loving her was finding a part of me that had been dormant for my entire life. She is more than just a girl in my life. She is the reflection of my best qualities, the person who complements me, and my source of inspiration.”
Honestly one of the best books I’ve read in a while! I couldn’t put it down! I was HOOKED! I loved Ry and Ash’s banter and friendship!
I laughed, cried, fell in love, and nearly died at one point. But that’s not the point, the point is that this story was amazing and I cannot believe that I haven’t read this sooner! I highly recommend reading!
If you love, this book is for you!

Sweet Desire is a full-length new-adult friends to lovers stand-alone with witty banters and explicit scenes.
Even though it took me so long to review this arc, I thought it was just perfect. Every detail in the book is perfect. First book I've read to address a topic like this, a mother-daughter relationship. How can one be manipulated so cruelly and coldly by one's own mother. Ash is a hard-working, studious girl with determined goals, even though her modeling career is managed by her mother who is your manager, she wants to study, she wants to be a licensed person. Have a backup plan in case her career doesn't work out. Ash has always been a strong-willed person, not wanting to be tied down to anyone, never wanting to have a romantic relationship for anything other than some couple of nights with someone. Ryder, in addition to being a good student and a player on the university team, is a lover of the arts and the course he is taking it is related to the same passion he has. Ash and Ryder have a strong friendship, coming from mutual friends. Always glued to each other through messages. But on New Year's Eve everything will change, Ryder ends up spending it with Ash in the apartment. When he discovers that one of Ash's new resolutions is to sleep with someone more often, he ends up proposing an agreement with benefits for both of them, to become colorful friends, with benefits and nothing more. Having both pleasure without strings attached. But will Ryder be able to convince her and will Ash accept these feelings she has for him that go beyond simple friendship? I loved every detail I read, every word, every emotion the author put into this book. And there was something at the end of the book that really intrigued me. I would like to read more about Ash and Ryder, I loved this couple. Thanks to Thalia Sanchez for her wonderful work.
Sweet Desire by Thalia Sanchez is a friends to lovers trope. I really enjoyed the overall storyline as well as the supporting characters. It’s nice to read about the supporting characters and what goes on in the background.
Sweet Desire will have you laughing 😂 with all the witty banter and crying 😭 with all the trauma . Thalia Sanchez did an amazing job at writing the story between Ash and Ryder. The book 📕 is well written and easy to read.
Sweet Desire has a sex with benefits and a bit falls first trope as well. The relationship between Ash and Ryder is real.
“Give it to me, doll. Show me how much you like it and come on my fingers.” ~Ryder
Ryder is definitely book boyfriend material. He’s funny, smart, good looking, flirtatious, dirty and sweet. He loves to talk dirty in and out of the bedroom.
Ryder is everything you want plus who doesn’t love a man who thinks consent is sexy. Ryder was never the type to commit and fall in love but all that changed with Ash Moore.
“Make me come, Ryder.” ~Ash
Ash is beautiful, smart, hardworking, funny and dirty. She has the looks and the brains to do whatever she sets her mind and heart to do. Her life has never been easy with a mother like hers.
Sweet Desire will have you laughing 😂 and crying 😭 but don’t you worry ladies because Ryder will have you getting hot 🥵 and bothered. Sweet Desire by Thalia Sanchez has enough spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️ and drama.
Sweet Desire by Thalia Sanchez is definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“I realize this girl isn’t only the muse of my art and the inspiration of my life; she’s my soulmate, and there’s no one else in the world I’d rather have a relationship with.”
tw: mentions of past sexual assault, parental manipulation
I enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would. It was a fun and fast paced read that is perfect for anyone looking for some escapism.
I loved Ash and Ryder’s relationship and getting to experience it from both their perspectives. My favorite part about any friends to lovers story is the way that everyone surrounding the main characters is completely aware of the feelings that they remain hilariously blind to, and this book executed this so well.
Ryder was probably my favorite character in the whole book. I loved how obsessed with Ash he was, I mean the guy practically worshipped the ground she walked on and I was here. for. it. He was also so dang charming and come on, an artist AND an athlete. That is kryptonite.
I really enjoyed the dynamic of Ash and Ryder’s friend group. I hadn’t read Bree and Stanley’s book, so this was my introduction to these characters, and I loved how they truly felt like a family with how much they cared about each other.
Although I wish there was a bit more groveling, cause us romance readers love a good grovel, this was a fun and quick read. If you enjoy friends with benefits romance books with plenty of spicy moments, a college setting and a great group of friends, then be sure to check this one out.
I was given a chance to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
Reading Sweet Desire was like a fresh of breath air. I haven't read a romcom in a while and I have to ask myself why I don't read more, more often.
I think I loved it more when it first started with the whole texting back and forth because that's the part that made me the laugh the most. I loved, Loved their banter back and forth and I couldn't get enough of it.
Both H and h were so darn similar in their character that they fit like a glove. They both wanted the same things in life but once they took it to the next level from just "friends" to friends with benefits it was going extremely well until someone caught feelings and didn't know how to express them to the other person. Once they revealed how they felt, the other didn't know how to take it first, but decided to take the leap and go along with it and before we know it, they both revealed how they really felt about each other and decided to take their friends to benefits relationship to the next level.
They both were so darn cute and I couldn't get enough of them. They made the perfect couple and I don't think I've ever read a more fitting book than this one when it came to the characters more fitting than these 100%.
What could I write in my review that will do justice to this amazing book? I honestly don’t know. What I do know is that I absolutely loved this book. What thrilled me most about this book was the depth of the characters. I enjoyed reading the text conversations and how both the main characters were perfectly upfront about their expectations and feelings. “Opposites attract” has been the norm lately in romances. But the main characters in this book were alike but complemented each other. It was refreshing. The story started off so spectacularly and one detail about the hero caught me absolutely off guard but it didn’t taint the story as I read on. I adored how Ryder could wear all his emotions up his sleeve and still give Ash the space to breathe and be herself. It was such a giddy combination and definitely a first for me. Like I said character depth was off the charts. Our FMC Ash was no less either. She put Ryder in his place. Sometimes her insecurities got the better of her but she was relentless in her efforts to see through her struggles and I loved her all the more for it. Special mention to the mommy issues that have been planted in my head after reading this. But it is absolutely worth it. P.S. I know what you did, Cora.
this book had me giggling and kicking my feet. it was just so GOOD. College romance isn’t my typical genre of choice but Thal manages to execute it perfectly every time.
Ryder and Ash were such a perfect pairing. just the right amount of complimenting and contrasting character traits. Ryder is the kind of character I love to read about, the perfect balance of golden retriever and retired F boy. Majorly flirty without being gross. and Ash, UGH. we love a bold and confident woman, especially in this setting. it sort of feels like a coming-of-age story, I loved watching Ash grow and fight her own battles. I loved getting to feel all the different emotions through/with her. also, this book might’ve just put the friends-with-benefits trope up at the top of my list which was completely unexpected but so well enjoyed.
And as Sweet Keeper’s number one fan, I loved the Bree and Stanley bits and I spent half of the book wanting to revisit their story again. And, as always, the side characters were everything and now I’m absolutely stoked for the next book in the series 🥰
First omg this book was spicyyyyy like I knew from the teasers that we were gonna get some good scenes but fucking hell actually reading them was completely different cause lemme tell you Thalia did not disappoint.and while this book was good in the beginning once I got around to 20% I knew this was shaping up to be a 5 star read.this book went through so many different explorations to sexuality to parental relationships to platonic relationships and so much more. And the relationship between Ryder and ash Omfg utter perfection you have Ryder being needy and ash combating that it really made for the perfect match in a well balanced relationship that feelt incredibly Authentic and raw.and the plot was just so good like scriously very good.I'm honestly so amazed at how Thalia is able to give us constant bangers with this series like truly flabbergasted by the talent I really just can’t wait to read all the books in the series as every single one before hand has been absolutely amazing
A REVIEW OF SWEET DESIRE Oh my god. Ryder and Ashley are so hot... Ryder is a skilled womanizer, rich and DAMN SEKUAL.God,I'm always ready to say it.I want to have that same "friend" with benefits. His dirty words are just FIRE. Now let's talk about Ashley. She is such a comfortable girl and I just adore her. Her humor>>> I'm so into her story, I want to let her go. RIDER IS JUST A GOD OF SURPRISE AND SEXINESS, I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE.
"Considering you're going to the gym after sex, I know you're not getting fucked properly." AAAAAH, RYDER, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Ryder was just killing me, he's just the man of my dreams.... Honest review on ark💌
DNF at 74%. Everything was going great, smut was great, dialogue and internal dialogue was meh, writing was okay minus. Everything was fine until the author used the oldest goddamn worst plot point in the book - spoilers for those who haven’t read - and the book was ruined for me. I don’t have the strength or will or motivation to read through this shitstorm just for it to say oh it wasn’t him someone took his phone and he’s forgiven but she just has the bear the humiliation for the rest of her life.
RYDER IS THE MOST PERFECT BF ON EARTH😭 he got me hook since the first chapter when he flew back😩 my heart couldn’t handle all that cuteness. And Ash is so girlboss and strong🫶🏻 her past is so sad and depressing I wanna give her a big hug🥲 overall I really recommend this book and its a great quick read plus it’s not too stressful. I especially love the cute banter between Ryder and Ash🫶🏻 but right now I’m excited to read Cora book😭😭 it’s not out yet but I have a feeling that Cora and the mystery “J” will kill me for sure🫶🏻😮💨 (betting money on carter as the mystery J)

5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Did I just loved it? Yes yes I did! I had the honour to have an ark. And thank you so much for this author😍
Loved it, their chemistry is everything. Love Ryder and Ash character so much. They were so fun to uncover their personalities.
Think this is my favourite couple of the year! I'm really sad it ended but I'm so glad I got to read this masterpiece! It was so well written and the dialogues, the plot was so captivated. Loved it! I highly recommend it!
This book really surprised me. I wasn’t expecting to be drawn in as I was. I do wish I had read the first in the series before this one but as the book went on it didn’t matter as much. I love Ash and I rooted for her the whole book. Ry is a total book boyfriend now.. I love a man that is comfortable with his sexuality and not afraid to talk about it. He fell first and it’s was so cute reading both of their realizations that they were in love.
Thank you to the author for the ARC of Sweet Desire. I loved this book so much. Ryder was the ultimate book boyfriend. His love for Ash was so heartwarming. His love was so pure and just made me melt. I loved how strong Ash was. Even with everything that she went through, she was still able to come out on top and take her life back into her own hands. The ending was so cute , but left me with some questions about the other characters. I can’t wait to find out their secrets in the future.
This book was such a nice surprise and one of my favorites this year. The witty banter between Ash and Ryder, had me laughing out loud. And oh my gosh Ryder….(sigh) He is officially my new favorite book boyfriend. Who doesn’t love a sporty artist? Highly recommend!
RYDER IS THE BLUEPRINT FOR THE PUREST BOOK BOYFRIEND. THE FREAKING BLUEPRINT.
sweet desire was my first book of Thalia Sanchez and i just loved everything about it. from her writing style to the characters to the story. it was everything and more than i expected.
so excited for everything that is to come from her 🥹🫶🏽
Well written, loved the story and the characters. The banter and flirting while they denied their growing attraction is what hooked me right from the start. Then how everything progress in the book kept me reading. Enjoyed this book
