The lessons are good, but…
I grew fond of this book once I let go the fact that it is so historically and geographically inaccurate. The lessons are good, but the masters’ using modern analogies, such as TVs, in a warring-states period Japan environment was a hard pill to swallow (perhaps being a fellow martial arts practitioner played against me this time). I would have loved if the lessons were more than just a conversation though, perhaps more like a guidance would have been more interesting, as the MC would have arrived to the conclusions himself, and thus, the lesson would have been more profound. But I still think that if you are willing to let go of the details and focus on the story there is always something to be learned.
