Either Penny is a GENIUS and she's subtly mocking the absurdity of the wealthy bourgeoisie (because she named Colin's parents Gatsby)
Or, she just wanted to write an unrealistic romance about a poor girl finding her happily ever after.
Whatever the case is... why didn't the brother join in on the action? I know I'm one step away from joining Hades in de Underworld. But at least I'd have more fun before offering my soul.
Let's talk characters:
☁️ Teagan: dog walker, poor, tattoos, likes alternative music, has one cat, poor. Her 'sassiness' is straight up rude. Coping with I’m Not Like Other Girls syndrome, she constantly judges other women and scoffs off the upper class yet she has zero problem letting men give her orgasms. Her brattiness embarrasses me. I still don't understand how the guys were willing to tolerate her nonsense. Her p*ssy ain't that special y'all.
There are also 4 men. But they have no other personality traits other than their specific kinks. Maybe the single pov wasn't the best choice after all, Penny
Bachelor no 1: Benjamin Donaghue [The Coochie Monster]
This guy doesn't just eat taco's. He hummmms like a vibratór. At one point, he had to dry off his whole face with a towel.
Bachelor no 2: Colin Gatsby [The Lurker]
He's the 'good boy'. Always happy and positive. I wonder why.
Bachelor no 3: Shane MacKenna [The Amateur "Daddy Dom"]
The Scottish hunk who doesn't know whether to discipline or nurture the so-called brat.

Loved the narration! It's what made the book really enjoyable. Maxine and Joe's performance was silky-smooth and fast-paced (I listened at x1 speed but it felt like x1.3), accompanied with fevered breaths, whispers, whimpers, smirks, gasps, shivers,.... It was immersive. Totally 8D!

First, Teagan is a very very lucky lady!
Penny Crane is a new author for me, but I doubt it will be my last. I loved the depth of these characters. Not only were the men crazy about her, but they all had their own reasons for being the way they are.
Teagan is put on auction for a wealthy man to win a date with her for a good cause. Her brother put her up to it, but it turns out it was Teagan’s lucky day. Not only did 1, but 4 handsome rich men who also are her brother’s friends, bid in a date with her and all win her. I won’t spoil the rest, but just know she has a good time with these men!
Maxine Mitchell is an amazing Teagan/Lavendar. Sherri brings so much to each and every character that she voices. One of the best!!
Joe Arden had the pleasure of voicing the 4 men of the auction. Unlike other narrators I have listened to, Joe had different voices for each man and I appreciated it! Joe had the hardest job between him and Maxine, but he never disappoints.
Maxine and Joe blew me away with how well they bright Penny’s characters to life!

Penny Crane was a new to me author and she did NOT disappoint! The story revolves around Teagan/Lavendar and her diverse relationships with her four men. It’s quick paced right from the start and Penny Crane doesn't waste any time diving into the spice, building up to so many memorable moments! I love how the author made a why choose version of brothers' best friends…it's one of my favorite tropes. Ben, Alex, Mac, and Colin all found special places in my heart. They each have their own connection with Teagan, yet they all manage to work as one. This story did have a few triggering topics and they were written well.

The narration for this was perfection! Maxine Mitchell absolutely Joe Arden made this so much fun to listen to! Teagan is such a realistic, strong, sassy, hilarious, resilient, brave individual and Maxine did a phenomenal job at portraying every side of her. Gah I adore her so much! And each MMC plays a specific role within this why choose relationship and they make it work! Joe Arden breathed life into Alex, Ben, Colin and Mac and he did it so flawlessly. He provided each character with a very distinct, unique, voice and has me falling for em all for different reasons! I can't even choose a favourite because they all make up such important parts of the group, each one with different intimacy types for the FMC. This was the perfect palate cleanser after some of the darker books I’ve been listening to and had me giggling, blushing, kicking my feet, and gasping 🤭

This was a really good palate cleanser between the darker reads I’ve finished recently. It had me blushing, cackling and gasping.

Teagan takes part in an auction where she meets four wealthy men. She ends up winning a date with each of them. Benjamin, Alexander, Mackenna and Colin fall head over heels for Teagan right away. Now that she's in their lives they will do anything to fix what's broken inside of her.
Penny is a new to me author. This was a great debut. She goes right into plot and keeps the momentum of the story the entire time. There is insta lust between Teagan and the guys and you feel that right off the bat. I loved how each guy stood out. Their personalities were very different. Teagan was a spitfire. She was stubborn at times and reckless. I loved how Teagan had built a relationship with each guy. Teagan's past was so sad. The trauma she went through was heartbreaking.
As for the audiobook narration, it was amazing! Performed in duet narration by Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden. These two were phenomenal. Maxine brought out Teagan's personality. Joe was exceptional in this one. He voiced all four male leads. Each one had a different tone and it was easy to distinguish them. I felt an emotional connection with them. For me Maxine and Joe brought the story to life. Highly recommend the audiobook!

Very fast paced, higher smut factor than real emotional depth. Cute FMC who has decided to put herself and ger worth over any money she could get, even when she struggles, wich is good to see. The guys are a fun group and they all managed to be different but still worked together both as friends and boyfriends very well.

The rest of the book? Meh. There was very little emotional depth. There was a girl, then four guys and poof suddenly they all love each other after a weekend on a yacht? Okay.
Smut was 3/5 but honestly not enough to make ready a physical copy of this book worth it in my opinion.

What a fantastic, fun read! I absolutely fell in love with Ben, Colin, Alex, and that irresistible dominant Mac. Lavender is in for the ultimate treat in this story! It’s a fast-paced, spicy, and sweet journey that will keep you hooked from start to finish. This is a why-choose romance, and honestly, I can’t blame Lav for being torn—each of the MMCs is so likable in their own unique way!

A lovely book, Teagan suffered greatly and cut everything off from her Parents. Now auctioned off for charity dates with four men, she wonders about her life. Giving up the riches her parents lived in, she lives in a tired flat, walking dogs for a living and wearing clothes from the thrift store. But she was finally free. The four men are her brother's best friends, each with their own personality which develops well with Teagans. An excellent heartwarming book with some spicy scenes.

Holy smokes this was such a steamy book! I just loved it and ate it up. I mean 4 billionaires?! Yes please!
The storyline was good, the characters were great, & the spice was spot on! I really enjoyed this story it was a fun read!
This was a first read from this author and they certainly did good at getting me hooked on the story!
It was easy to differentiate which guy was who. Definitely recommend the audio!

Colin is a voyeur, he loves nothing more than to watch, and when it’s his turn to take Teagan on a date, he uses the knowledge that she’s a huge hockey fan to his advantage and takes her to a hockey game.
Then came Shane (Mac) MacKenna, he is a successful CEO of multiple ventures, one being a private sex club where he and his friends get to enjoy their kinks. Being Scottish he has dominance in spades and loves nothing more than showing his dominant side in the bedroom. Mac is like the father of the group, the one everyone looks to for advice and who keeps everyone in line, and Teagan is no exception.
Finally came Alexander White, a lawyer whose phone is permanently attached to his hand. He is a mega rich and owns a private jet. Jaded after going through a divorce, he got himself into the habit of work, drink, repeat. However, when Teagan comes into their lives, he knows immediately he wants more with her, he wants to change for her. Alex and Teagan’s bond is strengthened through shared past traumas that they open up about.
The phenomenally talented Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden brought Penny Crane’s words to life and did so in the most spectacular fashion.
Ms Mitchell’s portrayal of the strong, confident, take no crap from anyone dog walker who underneath the surface is hiding vulnerabilities, insecurities, and past trauma that has left her jaded and unable to trust with her whole heart was breathtaking. Maxine’s beautifully smooth honeyed tone perfectly suited Teagan.
Mr Arden’s performance as the four male main characters Benjamin, Colin, Mac, and Alex, all of whom like to have some level of control, who are all extraordinarily rich and successful men, who will do anything to make Teagan happy and keep her safe was mesmerising. Joe gives a masterclass in how to portray many characters, so they are identifiable without being told who they are. Joe’s smoky, growly, deep timbre was perfect to depict the masculine, authoritative characters who are all accomplished individuals who all have one mission, to shower Teagan with all the love and attention she deserves.
In summation, I couldn’t have loved my very first Penny Crane title more. I had no idea what to expect going into this, but it honestly blew me away.
I was captivated from the very beginning; Teagan was a very intriguing character. A strong independent woman from a wealthy upbringing, who is struggling to get by day to day yet refuses her trust fund. Each of the guys brought something different to the table.
Mac dominated Teagan, taking away her thinking and just allowing her to be present in the moment.
Benjamin is the caretaker, the funny guy who is obsessed with Teagan who is always making sure she is okay.
Colin is the voyeur, he is always watching Teagan, making her feel seen at all times and in all situations.
Alexander is the silent brooding guy, the guy who once his walls are down and he lets Teagan in, he listens to her and protects her with every fibre of his being.
I was completely enamoured by these characters who were beautifully written and developed efficiently throughout the storyline and performed to perfection by two of the best voice actors in the business. I cannot wait to explore more by this author.

This is an audiobook review, however, the characters and plot points are referenced enough so that it could stand to be an eyeball review too.
Teagan is a 25 year old dog walker who lives estranged from her parents; she has a close relationship with her brother and his wife (her best friend) and she has learned to live independently. She is a beauty: tattoos, lavender hair, and piercings. Teagan lives a normal life and when her brother, Kane needs her support at a charity date auction, she begrudgingly steps in. And it is on that fateful evening that her world changes.
Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden are exquisitely cast and bring dynamic energy to this Reverse Harem romance. Maxine carries the badass energy of Teagan — her independent streak, her guardedness and her ability to see these men with an open mind and heart. My favorite moments in the story are when Maxine delivers Teagan’s snark. She is bold and vibrant, capturing the essence that is Teagan….and evolves into a fully blossomed Lavender. How Maxine manages to sound hot AF, to trauma-ridden and back to playful and sassy never ceases to amaze me. Maxine gives Teagan strength throughout the entirety of the story; Maxine is magical in creating heat, heart, and heartbreak while evolving the character within the story.
Joe rolled his sleeves up for this one and got the job done. Four uniquely voiced and categorically different men find their way into your earbuds and it’s impossible to pick a favorite. Ben is voiced with charisma and charm, something Joe effortlessly brings to many of his performances. Colin delivers with a curious, cautious, and consuming presence thanks to Joe. He enjoys watching all the sparks fly…and partaking in the beautiful chaos. I love understated Joe performances because there is as much to hear in the hesitancy as there is in the heat. He does this so well with Colin and Alex.
Where Joe particularly shined, for me, was the voicing of Alexander and Shane MacKenna. Alex exudes protectiveness over his own heart and Joe deliberately weaves a sense of brokenness in his voice that made my heart hurt for all the heartbreak he had been through. And Shane, otherwise known as Mac, with the Scottish accent? You ever heard Joe say “Kitten” in a raspy Scottish accent? Add it to my always growing collection of “Joe does this so good”. Joe’s work as Mac made me want Teagan to see herself the way Mac saw her. He exudes the dominant charm that brings out Lavender’s bratty behavior.
Penny, I really loved how these characters are fully formed and independent outside of their relationships. Teagan grows into Lavender much like a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis; and each man nurtures her and encourages her. She is so much woman, it takes four men to love her wholeheartedly, and I love the bond she has with them and the friendship the men all have with each other.

The audiobook performance by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were great. They both gave their character/ characters so much personality & emotions & brought that to life in audiobook.
Their ability to give the character or characters their own unique voice & personality without clashing with multiple characters Joe Arden voiced 4 man and Maxine with FMC. They both brought the whole story to life for us listeners.
Their’s wow what are great story about a women who left her parents behind to be her own person struggling to afford things but her pride and her happiness & her love of animals & been herself. T has older brother who fell for her bestie from college and are happily married. She is close with her brother but he don’t know her dark secret that coursed her so much pain & trauma & the reason she has cut ties with their parents. She doesn’t care about fancy clothes or cars etc. she just wants to be happy & live her way not by her parents who expected her to marry someone they had chosen.
T gets a call from her bestie/ sis in law to go to a charity auction function with her big brother as her bestie/sis in law is sick & she goes where she meets her brothers college/ bestie mates. All 4 guys bids for a date with T who was shocked and surprised that all 4 of her big brothers collage/ mates bid for her but hey it’s for children’s cancer charity’s so T goes on 4 dates and ends up falling for all 4 guys. She can’t chose and neither can they all want the one women. They treat T with so much respect and care. T isn’t use to of coz she overthinks. But they really do surprise her how much they feel deeply for her. She’s witty & funny and has an attitude but they love this feisty beautiful woman. All 4 man are happy to share and they understand that she loves each everyone them as they all different but care the same way for this women.
I enjoyed this story, so much laughter and love & yes their was some trauma and sad parts witch of coz can’t leave that out. The reason T doesn’t talk to her parents coz the man she was marry didn’t care about her she was just women to be on his arm and use whenever. She was only 17 when he took her innocence with it her consent. He drugged her and took what wasn’t his. Her parents didn’t even protect her & that’s sad and disgusting but she has her 4 man to support her and be there for her.
Such a great story about love & overcoming trauma and polyamory relationship & dealing with life & what life throws at us.

It is always great checking out a new-to-me author, even greater when you start it you know you are going to love the book and its characters. Penny Crane’s writing style captivated me; her story flowed naturally and kept me engaged the whole time. The characters are realistic, relatable and easy to connect with, as well as interesting. Teagan quickly became one of my favorite characters, loved her wit and her sass. A date with her is up for auction and the four men she just met, her brother’s friends, Benjamin Donahue aka Dr. BD, Colin Gatsby, Shane “Mac” Mackenna, and Alexander “Alex” White, get into a bidding war over her and then strike a deal with the auctioneer that they each get a date. I loved the camaraderie amongst these guys, all billionaires, who have everything they want, except for Teagan, who they all want. It was great watching her getting to know these guys with one was just as interesting as the other, all having different tastes, desires and kinks and each offering her something unique. This book is smoking hot, a reverse harem romance at its finest, and the character growth, the world building, as well as the building of the relationship is fantastic. I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst, some charming and heartwarming moments, witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Penny Crane, thank you for this beauty of a story, and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I love how they take each role and own it, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. Mitchell was a natural in Teagan’s role, handled her sass beautifully, as well as her strength and determination. Arden was just as fantastic performing the roles of Teagan’s men, accents and all, nailing their different demeanors, too. Their tone and pacing was just right for the story and they captured all the characters’ emotions and their passion, having you feel it all. These two are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating storytelling is not only entertaining, but it keeps you riveted to the story.

I loved the camaraderie amongst these guys, all billionaires, who have everything they want, except for Teagan, who they all want. It was great watching her getting to know these guys with one was just as interesting as the other, all having different tastes, desires and kinks and each offering her something unique. This book is smoking hot, a reverse harem romance at its finest, and the character growth, the world building, as well as the building of the relationship is fantastic. I loved all the layers of the story and how it all played out, with the perfect balance of drama, a touch of angst, some charming and heartwarming moments, witty dialogue, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Penny Crane, thank you for this beauty of a story, and the emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden are an amazing voice artists and they deliver an exceptional performance, giving each character a voice that is fitting to their personality. I love how they take each role and own it, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. Mitchell was a natural in Teagan’s role, handled her sass beautifully, as well as her strength and determination. Arden was just as fantastic performing the roles of Teagan’s men, accents and all, nailing their different demeanors, too. Their tone and pacing was just right for the story and they captured all the characters’ emotions and their passion, having you feel it all. These two are a pleasure to listen to, and their captivating storytelling is not only entertaining, but it keeps you riveted to the story.

Overall Thoughts: I listen to so many dark and bully romance books, that it is always refreshing when I stumble upon an insta-love that is still captivating and engaging. This book hit all the right buttons and had plenty of plot and lots of spice. This book was a lot of fun and one I could totally get lost in, with all the tropes. Teagan is a firecracker and does not give in to these rich and powerful men, but bit by bit they are able to break down the walls she has built up over the years. The dynamic between the guys as long-time friends is simple and easy, and the way they work together to gain her trust is sweet and endearing. Maxine is amazing as always with her performance as Teagan, and the way she is able to embody her spirit. Joe does a great job as Colin, MacKenna, Alexander, and Benjamin, making it easy to differentiate between all of them, and Mac’s accent is just yummy. I highly recommend this book.

Theirs by Penny Crane was such a fun and fast-paced audiobook. The story revolves around one woman and her relationships with four billionaires—who just happen to be her brother’s best friends. Right from the start, the pace is quick, and Penny Crane doesn’t waste any time diving into the spice, building up to some memorable moments.
The narration was a real highlight. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are top-notch narrators, and they absolutely delivered. While I’ve gotten used to ensemble casts for stories like this, the duet style worked really well here. Joe Arden voiced all four of the male leads, and he gave each character a distinct voice and personality, so it was easy to tell them apart. Maxine Mitchell brought a strong, confident presence to the female lead, and together, they made the chemistry between all the characters really come alive.
The plot itself is pretty straightforward, but it touches on some deeper themes around love and relationships, especially when it comes to breaking away from traditional norms. The idea of being in love with multiple people and navigating what others might think is handled well, while still keeping the story light and fun. The focus is definitely on love, and Penny Crane does a great job of showing the dynamics between all five characters.
Production-wise, Blue Nose Audio nailed it. The audio quality was smooth and professional, and everything felt really well done.

Penny Crane was a new-to-me author and her fast paced why choose romance did NOT disappoint. Theirs is a story about a young woman, Teagan/Lavender and her different relationships with four different men. The fast-paced nature of this story is kicked into gear right from the very beginning and the burning attraction between these five characters doesn’t start a simmer, no it’s a raging inferno from the first meeting. Theirs is full of spicy scenes that build and become some fantastic memorable moments between Teagan and her men, both individual and multiple couplings. Ben, Alex, Mac, and Colin each have their own special connections and interactions with Teagan but when they all get together, cue the fireworks. I loved that Penny was able to perfectly mix why choose romance with brother’s best friend.
I swear, there isn’t anything that narrators Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell can’t do when they are paired together. This audiobook was pure duet perfection and Arden and Mitchell completely knocked it out of the park. Maxine is the resilient, hilarious, strong, and sassy Teagan. She made our FMC someone who is so realistic that you wish she were real and your best friend. With four MMCs, you need to have a power house a male narrator and easily go between multiple characters in one scene. Joe Arden is the master at that, giving his characters each a very distinctive voice that you know exactly who is speaking. He flawlessly brought these gentlemen to life and will have listeners falling in love with each of them for a variety of reasons. I have said it many times and I will say it again, Mitchell and Arden are unmatched narrating magic!

There is nothing like a good reverse harem, the spice is always delicious. This one does not have ⚔️ so I was a bit bummed but still enjoyed it. There were 2 of them that were already roommates so it wouldn’t have been a far stretch but 🤷🏽♀️. Also this being an only one POV threw me; i kept waiting for the men POV and it never came. Felt like it wouldve been more well rounded with it.
And of course there is always trauma. I did roll my eyes and was a bit annoyed and dropped in rating for me; the whole “you’re together with my best friends” cliche on top of another cliche that the brother is married to her best friend. Like dude be so for real right, i know they’re your best friends since college, but you are literally married to HER best friend…cliche much? But overall, I enjoyed it. The FMC was strong and not prideful enough to get in her own way and LOVED 👏🏽 that👏🏽, even if she was incredibly judgmental of other females.
