Tardex is safe and the Marshals of Lone Wolf Squadron stand down for some much needed rest and relaxation.
Needless to say, the frontiers of the Etheric Federation don’t stay peaceful for long.
The growing squadron must battle sinister forces threatening their part of the frontier.
A delegation arrives from a neighboring system to request aid from Commander Beau Ward and his pilots. The powerful corporation that owns their contracts is cheating the people into owing the company more than they earn.
What will it take to help them gain their freedom from indentured servitude?
Beau must hold onto the gains he’s made in Tardex while extending the squadron’s protection over another star system.
It won’t be easy for our favorite collection of misfits. But when you live life on the edge, nothing ever is.

Yes, I realize exclamation marks should be used sparingly, and yes MULTIPLE exclamation marks ARE over the top, but sometimes it’s actually warranted. I can safely say that this is one of those cases.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this crew in the first 6 books, but I am absolutely loving this new arc. It’s hard to put my finger on the difference, but I’d say it’s mostly just that we get to know them all at a deeper level. It’s not just a story about a new adventure, along the way we continue to learn more about different members of the squadron. In this book that’s Remi and Teefer, and I find myself wondering whose issues or problem (if you can call being kidnapped a “problem”) will make up the subplot of the next book. I can’t wait. Until then, enjoy!
Thank you Jamie Davis for giving us such great characters to love and thanks to Barrett hate. The way the squadron has become a family with June the perfect mother and Ward the greatest father. It's so much fun reading their adventures and waiting for them to get out of one scrape or another. I have a feeling that they are in for some serious trouble coming up. They have obviously screwed with a very powerful enemy. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Enjoy
This is amazing stuff , I was turning pages like a mad woman, I needed to know what was happening to everyone, are they safe ? can they get back to base ? I was really stressing and worrying for them like real people, and that ending ? I need the next book now and all of them after that , I've jumped into the hole and I'm not coming out till the end. I absolutely love this series. I'm waiting with baited breath for the next adventure.
Good guys, Bad guys and those on the fence, are all part of a great story line that continues. I also enjoy the fact that there are factors on every side that survive to the end. It is totally not just black and white. Gray area’s abound to make it as interesting as it is! It is also cool that the squadron has become family. Since every family has its quirks, so do they. Thanks for the awesome read!
I love this series and the way Ward and his crew are willing to help anyone who is being abused. They always have each others backs and will fight to the end to help others. I really enjoyed this storyline and am looking forward to more stories in this series.
This is an awesome book for anyone who loves scifi. This whole series has been a delight. If a fast-paced storyline and well-rounded characters appeal to you, then this is the series for you! Keep churning out the awesome stories, guys!
Another strong addition to this series with the same crew and bringing on some new cast members as the storyline develops. Good character development, and interesting if a bit convoluted plot and a positive ending for this installment.
An excellent space opera with good and varied characters that were enjoyable to follow as they met and overcome the obstacles in their way. The story was fast paced and laced with humor. I look forward to reading the next book
