The Loving Dead

Rate this book
Battling the undead really put a damper on Addison’s love life.

Nurse Addison was searching for the one when the pandemic hit eight months ago. Her attention quickly shifted to trying to save humanity one injured person at a time.

When the last FEMA camp is overrun and the world is in full blown apocalypse she is left utterly alone.

That’s until she saves the life of the wickedly handsome man who held a gun to her head mere hours prior.

Now she’s in the safety of a self-sustaining cabin in the woods with four of the sexiest men she’s ever laid eyes on.

A chance at love is back on the table…and why should she have to choose just one?

Kevin- Tall and built like a tank his body was practically made to swoon over. This alpha male is determined to keep his friends safe no matter the cost. Addison’s curvy figure and nurturing nature are just what he needs to remind him there’s more to life that simply surviving.

Brandon- Sugary sweet man with a lean, hard body and killer skills in the kitchen has always wet the panties of the women around him. Addison’s charm ignites something in him he never felt before and he refuses to give it up.

Trent- Asshole with the body of a god and a smile made for Hollywood. Addison’s inner fire matches his own and reawakens his cold, dead heart.

Cameron-Brilliant tech genius and her best friend’s brother has always had a crush on Addison. It takes the end of the world to finally bring the two of them together.

A stand alone post apocalyptic why choose romance full of spice and the undead. Steamy scenes and a happily ever after guarenteed.

So I got about 25% into it and couldn't handle it anymore. I was excited to read this one but the amount of content errors and typos made it to difficult to get through. This book needs a solid round of editing with and actual editor. It has potential to be a good read but not until the errors get fixed.

Well this seemed like a book I would love based on Zombie apocalypse RH. It just didn't work for me. It was an entertaining story and it's a standalone so bonus points for that. I just wish things had slowed down some. I know what some of you are thinking she wants a slower pace? In some areas yes. Everything happens so quickly.

Our fmc has been on her own and is trying to reach her dead friend's family cabin. When she finally gets there she's impulsive and rude. She doesn't think things through and there's plenty of situations where things could have and probably should have ended badly for them.

The guys and her relationships all happen so quickly she barely knows them and already she's all in. Like seriously let her get to know them a bit more build up some tension between them.

Their confrontation with the bigger group was just unbelievable. What I mean by that is yes when society collapses the worst in people comes out. Once you have an entire group like that though they aren't going to be as stupid or forgiving. I just think they're confrontations they ended up being way too lucky. They should have had more consequences for their actions.

Now don't take that to mean don't give this book a shot. Definitely don't regret reading it just wished for a bit more build up.

I really didn't want to be harsh with this but.... I'm going to have to. I usually just leave a rating and never speak about it again, but this just twisted my tits something bad.

1. The pacing/time frame was off.....REALLY off. You would go from one chapter/scene to the next where something happened... But it was not shown to the reader so you ended up being jerked out of the reading experience wondering if there was a page that hadn't gone to print.
2. There were stupid typo errors, or random symbols. I get that you probably touch type but please read through your paragraphs after a moment and just edit them. Also your editor should have picked up on them as well as they were obvious. It contrast I typed this up and have gone back through it and had to change quite a few spellings as I forgot/added letters. It's a simple thing to do.
3. There wasn't really any build up, or even character development. The relationships were meet/fuck/HEA with NO BLOODY BUILD UP OF A RELATIONSHIP!
4. It was hard to determine a timeline either. She had her period at the start of the book, but with no definition of days it seemed that she was still on it when Brandon fucked her in the greenhouse but she also wasn't on it? Also Trent was injured when they first/second met but that injury magically disappeared when she found their cabin/house? Also Cameron with a big ass machete slash across his body and in the midst of a fever, that hasn't really been cleared properly by the antibiotics, can suddenly go punch town crazy on someone with a gun to his head? Nu-uh! No!
5. Trent and Kevin started to blur for me. Brandon seemed the most developed and Cameron may have well as been a fly on the wall with how much the MC really interacted with him.
6. The BIG showdown with the Chosen Ones cult.......... They just WALKED OUT!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! And then as a little side note in the 2 months later the place was just BURNT DOWN!! Because apparently the other communities (Which I don't get at all, because if the 'Little Wolf Cry gang' can track radio signals why weren't they all tracked when they sent the call out for the market?) spread that they were bad and decided to torch them? I'm still not clear on that.

I'm pretty sure I have more points but I'm just making myself mad. I obviously didn't read the same book that the 5-star people did.

Read this if you want. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to deter you if you put your mind to it. It's on kindle unlimited so at least there's that.

Honestly a fairly good story

Ratings Overall: 🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯/🌯🌯🌯🌯🌯
Spiciness: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

I find many apocalypse romances, zombies specifically, have too much either gore or steamy times. This seems like a nice balance of romance in an already settling post-apocalyptic world. This book had a nice balance of character building, some world building and character development with a few splashes of gore that remind you its an apocalypse without being entirely off the wall unrealistic. It was well paced and though there were a few misspellings I don't think it truly interrupted in reading the whole story. Overall I think it was a great book and works as a light reading book for the genre since the story isn't extremely complicated to follow.

The romance and romance scenes are 🔥 great to be honest. Its not heavily dark, its nice and fluffy. The scenes span different kinks and do so in a respectful way.

Overall I would add this to my casual read again list. I'm a sucker for Zombie apocalypse romances and the like.

Y se encuentra con 4 chicos sorprendentes

Trent : El chico rudo y quien era médico militar

Choppy writing with a bunch of spelling errors. The book had a good plot premise but wasn't executed well. Sometimes, the author tries to explain unbelievable circumstances away by going into detail on why something happened, but it just made the book seem disingenuous. I skipped chapters randomly and never felt like i missed anything. Spice wasn't half bad, and the reason it gets two stars.

Me entretuvo.

Awesome

This was a pretty good apocalyptic read, the bit of action, steam and building relationships was told wonderfully. The little HEA happening was sweet as well.

In a zombie apocalypse this girl wouldn't be alive. On top of that the male MC hits and kicks her, let's her believe she is safe and then leaves her for the zombies.

Todo bien, pero los malos no tenían ni pies ni cabezas, y eso me cortó un poco el drama que intentaba armar.

This was a fun book. There were many plots and twists to keep it interesting. Though, I feel like the connections between characters weren't as strong as I was hoping for.
