Dystopian/Cult/PNR/Poly MMF/Enemies to Lovers/Possessive/Virgin MFC
In a world that had fallen apart from war, factions rose from the ashes. Can the love and power of the triads keep the peace? Or will those that seek to destroy The Brothers of Shadow & Death succeed?
Rook
Being a part of a triad union and the next head of the Adair family was not what I wanted. The stage, bright lights, screaming fans, and my guitar were all that I needed. At least, that was what I thought until my father forced me to fly halfway across the world and met Rhys McGregor.
Rhys
I’d worked my entire life focused on one goal while my heart yearned for another life. Becoming a great leader of my family, a council member of the faction, and bringing together my triad was always my honor, my right, and my desire. But was it? The lines were blurred when I was humiliated on my choosing night. I was demoted and rejected by Rook Adair. Now, I was questioning every decision I’d ever made. That was until the man himself showed up at my home on my island and once more turned my world upside down.
Elewyen
Men are evil. At least, that was what I’d always been taught, and from what I’ve seen, that has proven to be true. Hiding in the forest with my coven, we avoided contact with the villagers and those that lived in the fancy castles at all cost. Then one night, an ache in my heart led me to a man with midnight hair and piercing blue eyes, and I was forced to question every lesson I was ever taught.

This book was interesting. It's a dystopian fantasy MMF romance, which I thought was pretty unique and piqued my interest enough to pick it up after seeing some ARC reviews on goodreads. Some minor spoilers ahead. Full disclosure, this is mostly a rant about Mari because she ruined the book for me.
I think this book would have been a 5-star read for me if the entire character of Mari (and her storyline) was removed. It was difficult to get into the MMF romance between Rhys, Rook, and Elewyen when one of the men, Rhys, in this triad (MMF) romance is literally in love with another woman, Mari, who is also his best friend (and Rook's cousin). Not only was Mari in love with Rhys, but Rhys was also in love with Mari, and they pined for each other for almost 75% of the book. It felt like Rhys was reluctant to give her up to be with the other 2 people in his triad, aka his supposed soulmates. Rhys literally even offered to leave Rook and Elewyen to be with Mari instead. Meanwhile, Elewyen, the "F" in the MMF romance, wasn't even introduced to her 2 men until like 60% into the book. Mari got more time on-page than Elewyen did, and Elewyen was supposed to be one of the main characters in the romance. She also seemed really fucking cool, so I'm annoyed we didn't get more of Elewyen and less of mopey annoying Mari.
I especially hated it when Rook allowed Rhys and Mari to have sex for "one night only" to get it out of their systems, so that they could know what it feels like and then Rook/Rhys/Elewyen could be together without further interference from Mari. That resulted in about 2 chapters of Rhys and Mari (who again, are not the main romance) having a detailed scene of them making love (literally they were calling it "making love"). Meanwhile, when Rhys and Rook finally had sex for the first time, it was fade-to-black. Ummm...Rook and Rhys are supposed to be the main relationship, but instead the only spice in the first ~70% of the book is between one of the main guys and his female best friend, aka his new boyfriend's cousin, aka another woman. There were eventually some spicy chapters between the triad characters, but I was shocked that Rook and Rhys's first time was fade-to-black after having just been forced to read long detailed sex chapters about Rhys and Mari. I honestly skimmed most of the Mari and Rhys sex scene chapters because I hate "other woman" tropes, and Mari was literally the other woman. It felt like I was reading a romance book about Rhys and Mari and how they can never be together.
Beyond her relationship with one of the MMF characters, Mari also just was the worst. All of her POV chapters and scenes with Elewyen/Rook were the same. It was just her being sad about not getting to be with Rhys and having to give him up because he found his triad, as well as how she is sad about how her life sucks and how females are treated in the faction system. She moped about the same thing over and over and over again. It was so repetitive. I get it--she doesn't have red hair or a birthmark, and now she can never find happiness because she is forced to be an assassin. It doesn't make up for the way she acts with Rhys and how Rhys acts with her.
I honestly am just shipping Rook and Elewyen at this point. Rhys was having sex with multiple different side characters throughout this book, even after meeting Rook in person, and I wasn't really here for it. Caitlin wasn't great, but I understood that hookup more because Rook had rejected Rhys and put him through pain. However, I deducted 2 full stars solely because of Mari and Rhys. Rhys is supposed to be the "nice" guy in the MMF relationship because Rook is supposed to be an asshole, but Rhys was really the hidden villain here. I hated that Rook and Elewyen liked Mari too; like she is literally fucking your soulmate...????
Anyways, it's an interesting book with Scottish elements (I think?) that had so much potential, but I'm not sure I will continue to read this series because I just can't with Mari.

I loved this book! Just a brief snapshot of the goodies found within: fated mates, rejected mates, enemies to lovers, other woman drama, dystopian society, magical bonds and cult-like rituals, plus it is an incredibly fast-burn romance with so much steam I thought my kindle was going to combust. And, it’s thicc. This book comes in at over 500 pages, and I would have been plenty happy to keep reading it had it been hundreds of pages longer. I was still surprised upon reaching the cliffhanger ending.
The book takes place on the Isle of Man, and the author uses an Irish brogue for the local populace. I liked that literary device, as it gave the story an air of realism. I could ‘hear’ the characters as I read. It might take some time to get used to, and if there is confusion about what words mean, Brooklyn has supplied a definition guide.
Even though it was a fast burn, there was so much emotional development between the two male main characters. Despite the magical connection that bound them together, the pain they caused one another as they stumbled into their relationship gave them a stronger bond. The missteps were what both pulled them together and pushed them apart. It also made for some HOT make-up/fight for dominance s3x.
Now, for the s3x. Before solidifying their relationship, they are manwh0res, both on and off page. Whether it was between the MMCs or outside of their relationship, the writing is scorching. The MM scenes are plentiful and delicious. The addition of the virginal FMC as the third of their triad only enhances the experience. Her scenes as she discovers herself are intensely hot. The MMF scenes are even hotter.
I already mentioned that cliffhanger. It is a bad one. I’m still feeling a bit salty about being left there. I hope the second book comes out soon.
Anywhere is part of a shared world with TL Hodel’s Backfire. While not necessary to read them together, the reading experience is enhanced when done so.

Anywhere can be Magical…
Just WOW! Brooklyn Cross just keeps blowing me away with each book she writes.
Anywhere has the best world building I have ever seen. She has pulled in different dialects that at first I had trouble with because it’s so authentic and different. The characters jumped off the page with humor, love, anger, strength and resolve.
Rhys has trained his whole life to be a number one in the faction and to take over as the head of the McGregor family. His beliefs are everything to him. When his ritual selection by the spirits makes him a number two plus his number one rejects him, he is absolutely devastated and humiliated. He has to wait a period of time before he can also reject the claim and get his life back.
Rook is a playboy rockstar with no concern for anyone but himself. When he rejects Rhys to spite his own father he doesn’t realize the pain he has caused his second. His father demands that he go to the island that Rhys lives on and complete the ritual so they can find their third.
Elewyen is feral, growing up in the woods with a coven that found her when she was around eight years old. She has a little companion squirrel that she finds during her travels that brings a humor to the story. Shes ignorant of the outside world. She does not know how to read or write. Nothing of other humans or technology, only what her coven has taught her. She’s a fierce member of the coven and goes on missions twice a year to save babies that were born with red hair, villagers believe any child with red hair is a curse.
In her travels she comes across a burnt village with scorched remains. She sees two men and believes they are the dark evil that killed the villagers. She follows them. She is their third and has no clue what that means.
While reading this there were so many times I laughed out loud. The humor was perfect, it balanced out the sadness that Rhys was dealing with, the anger that Rook had and the longing that Elewyen had to learn everything.
There are hard parts to get through because of the emotional connection certain characters had. It was heart wrenching and a major gut punch all in one.
The sexual tension between Rhys and Rook was off the charts! They were sizzling together, the anger they had for each other and the situation they found themselves in was combustible. Rhys was angry with Rook when he first came to the island.
Rhys has sacrificed his whole life for the faction, he gave up the woman he has loved for years to join in the triad and Rook didn’t want to be there. 2 men and one virgin female must join together. They must complete the triad ritual to solidify their magical powers and join their souls together to make them one.
This was a magical enemies to lovers MMF story that had me from the first page.
I loved Rhys, Rook and Elewyen together and also separately. Each had their flaws but they also had a lot of strengths. Rhys was a warrior with a musical talent but his heart belonged to someone else. Rook was a rockstar with no fighting experience, a huge chip on his shoulder and daddy issues. Elewyen hasn’t got a clue about what she’s about to get into but has a passion to learn everything she can. She also wants to save her coven, the babies who get thrown out and save the villages that are being burnt with no survivors.
There is a dark force attacking the villages, the farms and fields of the island. Rhys, Rook and Elewyen must find out who is behind this but must first complete the final union ritual. All three are needed for the ceremony but only two arrive.
Was it intentional, was it revenge or betrayal from someone within their own faction making sure the ritual is not completed in time.
Well… Unfortunately(yes giving Brooklyn a stink eye😂) we get left on a cliffhanger.
I really can’t wait for the next book!

1st person/multi pov
Spice: 5/5 😮💨😮💨😮💨🫠
I need more. That’s it. That’s the review.
Just kidding I have way more to say than that but that pretty much sums it all up right up there. 👆🏻
So here we have our world that has fallen after a massive war. In the aftermath, the world was split into different factions. This book focuses on one of those factions set in a dystopian version of the Isle of Man. Most of the people living here are back in the “dark ages” before technology, cars, electricity, etc while the leaders still have access to modern-day living. The humans without magic are known as Flitters and are mostly unaware that magic even exists or that the people running their faction are the ones who possess it. You get a good mix of present-day and historical vibes. It’s quite interesting how it all meshes together and works in their setting.
Amongst these magical people, there is a type of union chosen by ancient spirits called the Triad. Once chosen and paired a ritual is performed to complete the bond making the triad more powerful. So not only do you have this sort of fated mates situation you also get politics between factions and some seriously creepy cult-like rituals/ceremonies.
Now of course having your matches chosen for you can’t be as simple as it sounds because where is the fun in that? Bring on the rejection of the pairing and you’ve got some crazy tension to enjoy. Full on enemies to lovers right here and it is deliciously good. Especially when it involves two headstrong and dominant men. 😏 Then throw in an innocent yet fierce witch to complete this Triad union and its nonstop entertainment. The banter and steam that bounces back and forth between the characters is so addicting it’s hard to stop reading once you get good and into it.
There are a lot of feelings that need to be worked through to make this union successful and on top of all of that, there is a threat looming in the distance. A threat that’s inching closer and closer each day waiting to destroy it all.
I’m telling you this story is so incredibly different and is a melting pot of tropes, humor, magic, and some pretty hot spice. I’m talking spice that will have you wide-eyed and drooling.
Also, several characters have a thick accent considering where they live so their dialogue is written with that accent in mind. If that has you second-guessing whether or not to give this a shot then set that worry aside and try it anyway. Once you get the feel for the accent it will absolutely draw you into the story even more. The story as a whole unfolds wonderfully and keeps you engrossed all the way until the end. Which is quite an ending at that. Be prepared for a cliffhanger that will have you scratching your brain wondering what will come of it in the next book. A book that I absolutely cannot wait for!
I still suggest checking the TW from the author before reading as there are some things in the content that could be difficult for some people to read.

She's done it again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Brooklyn has quickly became a favourite author of mine, she can write so many different tropes and yet they all work!
This time, it's PNR/dystopian which to be totally honest, isn't usually my cup of tea BUT this was brilliant!
Seriously, I highly recommend....
There are 3 main characters - plus one who is still a big part of it. Rook, Rhys, Elewyen and then the extra-ish character Mari.
We have Rook the rockstar who wants nothing to do with the triad, Rhys who studies his whole life for it and then Elewyen who knows nothing of it, yet they're all drawn to one another.
Rook is a stuck-up spoilt singer who has had the world at his feet.
Rhys is tense, has the worries of the world on his shoulders and only wants the best for not only his family but the island.
And then Elewyen who has grew up in the forest with her coven, has no clue of the outside world other than men are evil and it's her life's mission to save the abandoned babes.
We can't forget Mari, that girl has a heart of gold and yet is the ultimate warrior. My heart hurt bad for her - because of certain things, her life isn't her own, she's not destined for a family or an hea, she's destined to fight and be at the Family's beck and call. I so wanted to change things for her!
This is filled with humour, heartache, passion, and a world I nothing off but it had me gripped, I had to know what happened next, I cheered for some, boo-ed others, had a wee tear fall, just every emotion was packed into this story and I'm so freaking excited for more to come.
Be warned, there's a cliffhanger 😱 but it's oh so worth it....

A shared world between Brooklyn Cross and TL Hodel, Anywhere is the first in a trilogy that we are getting from Brooklyn Cross. If you are going to continue this world and you read Brooklyn first it does not matter if you read Anywhere by Brooklyn or Backfire By TL Hodel first. As told to us by the authors there will be character cross overs. And if you have read Unhinged Cain or Twisted Abel you will know this is not something that is new to these two authors.
Fair warning when starting this book. You might have troubles getting into it at first. This is not becuase the world building and the characters aren’t captivating. This is because this book takes place on the Isle Of Man, and as such Brooklyn Cross uses an Irish Accent when writing a majority of the characters. You will see that Rook’s characters is in more of a common English accent you are use to in writing. But when it comes to the speaking protions for the other characters native to the Isle of Man you will see “Da” and other spellings as such. It will take some time to get use to but once you do it will go easier and will be worth it in the end.
As always in series Brooklyn has left us on a cliff hanger. I can’t wait to see what she does next and I need to know what happens!!!!
Fair warning when starting this book. You might have troubles getting into it at first. This is not becuase the world building and the characters aren’t captivating. This book sucked me right in with the mention of a fated triad and the traditions & rules that follow. I mean hooked! I love fated mates and MMF! The author has such a descriptive way of conveying the story that you feel every emotion that these characters go through. This book absolutely pushed my emotional boundaries with Rook & Rhys and the pain they unknowingly caused each other. It broke my heart and made me feel really uncomfortable feelings just the same. I could not imagine being Rook at certain times.
Rhys has been training for his position in the triad, Rook has been running from it and Elewyen knows nothing of it. I enjoy watching them go through the motions and gaining more insight into what the triads are and what their purpose is. I can’t wait to get more of this story especially with how it ended. It was heartbreaking and so damn good!

This book was an amazing read! It was filled with character development, pain, joy, love, and hate. It was a great fated mates romance that I could not put down. With so many fun twists and turns. If you love high fantasy world building romances then you will love this book.

I received an ARC of this book! I sat down and read this book in one day! I loved the premise of this book of a triad coming together to have power. I loved the dynamic with Rhys, Rook and Elewyen! The dystopian Isle of Man and the different accents really made me feel like I was in a different place! The spice, angst and kilts were a nice bonus too! Looking forward to the next book!

ARC Review
"I am the shadow born from the blood of the brothers of shadow and death."
"I am the death born from the power of the brothers of shadow and death."
"We are the chosen, and tonight two become one."
Holy crap this book is everything!!!
I am obsessed, I need my own Rhys and Rook!!
This book has everything you want from love, heartbreak, betrayal, angst and spice.
I haven't found a book that has made me want to root for the two MMCs more than this. They were hot and so spicy in everything they did and said to each other. I was in awe!!
Rhys and Rook both having as much power as each other and being paired together didn't make sense to anyone, that is until you see them give in and have time together. When that happens you lose all semblance of ever thinking it is a bad idea. 🔥🔥
Elewyen just adds to this pairing so perfectly. I love how she finds her way into this dynamic with ease as if she is always meant to be there.
The drama that happens is perfect to keep the story alive and not make it all about the main characters. The plot is great and the character development is everything you want to see.
I cannot wait for the next book in this series.
I have too many questions i need answered!!!!

Gorgeous gentleman in kilts and leathers?! Take my money now!
Way to start a book! So exciting and hooked me in straight away. I love the multi povs how it weaves the characters together and you can see the plot blending, a really nice experience as a reader.
The MM action in this was crackling! So much testosterone which I was all here for! Phew!!!
Super creative and imaginative plot with so many cool beasties and magical talents! Loved it!

Tall, dark, and brooding men with accents and kilts!? What more could you ask for?? Set in a dystopian world divided into factions, where everyone and everything is run by the people who possess magic, this book had my interest piqued from the first time Cross advertised it in one of my readers' groups. I’m so glad I discovered this book as it had some great world building, strong characters, and an interesting plot.
Focusing on our three leading characters, Cross takes through a whirlwind of emotions with reluctant/rejected fated mates, enemies to lovers and star-crossed lovers. The fact that our characters come into this already jaded just made my heart bleed for them. Destined to be 'One' in the triad, Rook does not want anything to do with the Triad and immediately rejects the idea of having fated mates and begin his duties in running the world. He just wants to live like a ‘Flitter’ (not magic wielder) and play music. From our first introduction to Rook I really did feel sorry for him this, however, did change to just plain ole frustration. With his flat out refusal to learn anything about the practices of the ruling families and the magic of the Triad, Rook has very little knowledge nor care about anything that has been going on. His attitude just left me angry, he was quick to anger over any situation and in my opinion needed to grovel more before he earned Rhys’s forgiveness. Rhys was my favourite. I know I shouldn’t chose, but there is so much heartache there, that you just can’t not love him and want to wrap him up in bubble wrap. From dead parents to rejected mates, all Rhys has wanted to do is make his family proud and fulfil his role as Rook’s 'Second' in their triad. And yet he must endure the consequences of Rooks’ actions and now come to terms with the fact he can never be with his childhood love. I loved Rhys’s character arc, and I love him and Rooks’ relationship. With both feeling bitter towards the bonding but having difficulty resisting the magic between them, their relationship in this book is explosive, filled with missteps and a lot of steam. I couldn’t get enough of those two and I loved that whilst this is a fast-burn MMF, the majority of this book is MM. The chaos of their relationship deserved the time dedicated to it and it made it all the more authentic.
Elsewhere on the Island, Elewyen has started her journey travelling village to village to collect red-haired baby girls that the villagers have left out in the woods to die. After the war between non-magic and magic wielders, the ‘Flitters’ have gone back to their primitive ways with little technology, history has become myths, superstition and fear. One of these myths, albeit true, is the fact that red-haired women have the ability to wield magic. With magic comes trouble, so the people give up their red-haired girls. Cut off even more from society hidden amongst her coven, Elewyen has even more to fear when it comes to the people that live on the island with her. Wild, strong and brave, Elewyen is a complete badass, she’s fully capable of protecting herself and though she has little exposure to society she isn’t totally naive. With both Rook’s anger and Rhys’s sadness, Elewyen is a great balance to their turbulent relationship, she brings a lighter side and a little bit of humour. My only drawback to her was that we see little of her until the back end of the book when she meets Rook and Rhys so I didn’t feel fully bonded with her. I loved her spark, her willingness to learn and in finding herself with these two men. Like the MM scenes, Cross did not hold back with Elewyen’s self-discovery in the bedroom, I cannot wait for future scenes when the ritual is complete!
Another reason I found it difficult to fully get on board with this Triad is Mari. Living a life that is not her own, Mari breaks my heart. Because she wasn’t born with red hair she is not destined for a triad and is forced to become an assassin, she’s forced to follow orders of the men in the families and is overlooked as a person with any voice of her own. Though the magic wielders have control over the world they are still as medieval as the ‘Flitters.’ As the OW in this story I was nervous to read on but she doesn’t bring drama or hate or problems, she’s logical, supportive and strong. I hope she gets her own story in the future since she deserves her own epic journey where she changes the world.
Overall, this book was a fantastic read with great world building and character arcs. It was easy to fully immerse myself into the story not just because of the Irish brogue and kilts. With a plot like that and for it to end on that painful cliffy, I am counting down the days for book 2!

There are so many amazing things happening in this book, I don’t know where to start. The world Brooklyn created is one I could get lost in again and again. Everything is not as it seems, meaning there is magic and those without magic don’t know it exists for the most part. With magic comes power therefore those with the most magic have the most power. They are also the ones in the most danger because everyone wants more power. Triads are formed but those in the triad don’t get to choose who they’re paired with or who the one in charge is. That’s where the story begins, with Rhys, Rook, and Elewyen.
Rhys has been training his whole life for this, he’s ready to help his people, help his family, and make sacrifices. Rook has had no training and has done whatever he wants for most of his life. He doesn’t want any part of being in a triad, he wants to live his own life doing as he pleases. Elewyen has no clue what a triad is because she lives with a tribe of women secluded from society but somehow finds herself pulled to Rhys and Rook, in more ways than one.
Rhys and Rook butt heads continuously, especially since they both should be ones meaning the alpha in the triad. The tension only adds fuel to the fire building between these two, then comes Elewyen and she fans the flames. Rook and Rhys are definitely alphas and rough around the edges, Elewyen somehow manages to rein them both in with her kind and gentle soul. They all must make sacrifices not only for the good of the triad but for everyone on the island they reside on.
I can not speak highly enough of this book, there’s excitement, suspense, quite a few laugh out loud moments and even moments of awe and amazement. I’m beyond excited for the next book in this series and can’t wait to see what else Brooklyn has in store for this year.

Brooklyn Cross is a new-to-me author and I’m a fan! I was certain Anywhere was going to be my favorite book while reading Chapter 3. I decided on Chapter 3!! Dystopian isn’t one of my go-to genres, but I wanted to expand my horizons. Anywhere did not disappoint! I loved the writing style, the characters, the story, the sexual tension, the banter, the inner monologues and the kilts. There is humor in there as well, without the cheesy romcom feel. It does end on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for book 2!
Spice level (1-5): 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Kink level (1-3): ⛓️⛓️
Rook: Eldest son of the Adair family. Rook lives the life of a Rock Star, completely unaware of what’s really happing in their magical world. Due to his relationship with his father, Rook has always rebelled and refused to participate in anything that had to do with their faction. He doesn’t want the responsibility and refuses to be part of a triad.
Rhys: Next Head of the McGregor family. Rhys grew up studying and training to be the head of his family and number one of his triad. However he ended up being number 2, with Rook being number 1. He’s been in love with Mari, Rook’s cousin, since childhood, but determined to make the triad work. He accepts his role only to find out that Rook has already rejected him.
Elewyen: Orphan. Grew up in a coven of only women in seclusion, completely unaware of the world and technology. How will Rook and Rhys convince her to join their triad when she’s been taught that all men are bad?
I’d recommend Anywhere to anyone who likes MMF, found family, mine, touch them and die, spice, and possessive characters. This does have explicit smex scenes and steamy male on male action . If that’s not your thing, this book won’t be for you. Check the Trigger Warnings if you have triggers.
Warning: This book may make you dye your hair red. May make you start talking to squirrels. May make you stalk and attack hot guys in the woods in hope they are your mate. Read responsibly.

If you’re really struggling with the accents, you can try having your device read it to you. This works on Apple devices (not sure about others). Apparently, my listening skills are better (thank you Outlander!).
Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch ON
A circle icon will appear on your screen (you can move it to a corner) Tap it
Device > More > Speak Screen
You can also skip that and go straight to Spoken Content (under Accessibility) > Speak screen ON
And then swipe down with 2 fingers to activate. I found that this didn’t work all the time for me, hence why I went the longer route.
Happy reading ~~~<3

I’ve always loved Paranormal Romance, Fated Mates, Enemies-to-Lovers, and such but this book goes beyond that with action, imagery, detail, and extremely hot sex scenes. I was on an emotional roller coaster reading this and loved every minute of it!
Set in a dystopian world where magic of all kinds flows freely, Factions rule society, and a definitive line is drawn between the haves and the have-nots. This story dives deep into the inner workings of love bonds between our main characters Rook, Rhys, and Elewyen. They come from very different backgrounds but share a bond that surpasses anything they have ever experienced.
Rook is a rocker bad boy who would rather not fall in line with his family’s expectations of becoming a leader in the magical community.
Rhys has trained his entire life to someday take over the mantle of leadership in the form of the magical love bond called the Triad.
Elewyen is a feisty lass raised in the wilderness with powerful magic of her own when she finds herself drawn to these two men.
When reading this book you find yourself caught up in the island experience as well due to how the writer includes the locals' dialect. It's as if you can actually hear their unique voices. Brooklyn has also included a guide to explain the language, spells, and rituals included in the story. I could go on forever about this book but you should definitely check it out for yourself.

This book was AMAZING!! It was a page turner from the first page! Talk about an interesting start to the book!! And it just kept getting better to the end. I love this whole exciting Dystopian paranormal world with magic, men in kilts, fighting bad guys, men in kilts, hot steamy smexx, sweet but also bad@ss women who fight the bad guys alongside the men...Did I mention about 🥵 men in kilts? 😁
This is my first Brooklyn Cross book and I am now a big fan of hers! 🤩 She has introduced a fantastic world and an amazing series (along with T.L. Hodel) that I can't wait to read more of in upcoming books. I loved Rook, Rhys, and Elewyen. They had such a chemistry together and grew in emotional depth throughout the book. And the other characters were so interesting as well -- Mari, Caleb...and my favorite adorable red squirrel, Barry! 🥰 Elewyen's little companion was such a scene stealer!
If you enjoy paranormal and mmf romance, then read this book, along with Backfire by T.L. Hodel. They are both in the same world and either one can be read first. Highly recommend reading Anywhere!! I haven't been this enthralled in a book in weeks! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! ❤

Oh boy what a thrill I got while reading this. I became so invested in these characters that I’m on pins and needles for the next book.
Rhys, Rook, and Elewyen are one very interesting triad. First and foremost, one of them is a witch who has never met the other two and is a stranger to modern conveniences. In their world, the powerful families produce heirs that form these triads but not everything goes so smooth. And there are some dark and evil forces at play that will upset the balance it seems.
This books was intense and heartbreaking as well as funny and steamy especially between the two men who just are a hoot as they try to be the one on top. Pun intended. Elewyen was feisty and smart as she quickly became an integral piece and I can’t wait to watch these three come together. I’m prepared with fire extinguisher of my kindle catches fire.
Special mention to the character of Mari. How dare the author give us this fiery female who will grab your heart but also make you cry as you’ll learn. Hoping she gets her HEA.
That cliffhanger…..

Rook has detested and tried to ignore anything to do with running the factions.
Rhys has been training to take over when his time comes.
Elewyn was forced to survive in the woods because of her red hair.
Mari is a woman who would have loved to have red hair, but has dark hair and is forced to work as a warrior now.
A triad must be formed, but can all 3 of them agree? Can they form attachments where needed and let go of the past? In the meantime, who is destroying the island?
The spice level is off the charts here. The triad is a MMF triad where the men are chosen and have to form a bond before they can go looking for their female. MM romance hasn't been my thing in the past, but this one may have changed my mind.
The author is kind enough to include definitions at the beginning. The world building is amazing. This book is full of suspense and well written. I couldn't put it down and I can't wait for the next book.

This book was such an amazing reading experience! I don’t usually do dystopian reads, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were phenomenal and pulled me in. They all came from different backgrounds and have different reasonings for being there, but they are drawn together. I loved watching them grow and become.
This book gave me so many emotions, and I loved the ride. I also love fated mates, so that was a perfect addition for me!
As an Irish girl, I loved that aspect of the book. It can be difficult at some points with the language, but I promise it’s worth it to push through. I loved the glossary of terms and words, it was so helpful and so fun to learn something new!
Overall, the world building, character development and plot was stunning! Highly recommend if you like dystopian/possessive.
And the end? I need more right now!

And the end? I need more right now!

First off there was a lot about this book that I loved
✨fated mates
✨cult style rituals
✨heavy mythic lore
✨MMF romance with ⚔️
✨enemies to lovers
✨virginal/innocent MC
This book was set against a magical Scottish setting with this triad needing to be formed between Rook, Rhys and Elewyen. That being said SO MUCH time and energy on page was given to the side character Mari, who - on her own isn’t bad, but she’s basically in love with Rhys and Rhys is in love with her and they can’t be together so there’s all this moping and pining and forbidden love thrown in and it creates a live triangle which ended up making Rhys a less likeable character to me. I wanted him to be with Rook and Elewyen … you know…. His supposed soul mates 😣
The first spice that did happen was mostly Mari and Rhys having their “only for one night” sexcapades which Rook allowed them to have but then Rook and Rhys finally have sex and it’s off page 😭 I was so disappointed. And the third in their triad isn’t even introduced until like the 60% mark giving the 3 of them less time to develop as a relationship on page.
I also really struggled with the heavy Scottish dialect. I liked that it lent authenticity to the culture but it made my reading experience harder bc I was constantly having to reread or look up words.
All in all this is a really cool concept. I wish there was less pining and moping for “the other woman” and more on page MM spice bc those 3 have serious tension and chemistry. I’ll be reading book 2 to see how these characters continue!

Three reasons to read this book
Hot men in kilts, MMF, and smut!!
🌶️🌶️🌶️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a Dark paranormal Romance with MMF action and starting off we get a lot of spice, the build up is insanely hot and the connections these characters have are 🥵
The island in this book is so freaking magical. Brooklynn makes you feel like your there with the characters as you read. I was sucked in from the beginning.
I had some good laughs through out but also had some times i was on the edge of my seat. Brooklynn kept me on the edge throughout this book.
I loved how she changed the accents for the three main characters it was so neat to read and picture it in your head while imagining this world they lived in. Elewynn is such bada** and very head strong. Also i loved the first impression she made with the guys Rhys and rook. She doesn’t take crap from anyone and speaks her mind! I cant wait to have more of this in the next book i need answers and i need them now!! I highly recommend this read.

Oh my goodness! This is the best strange and post-apocalyptic read I have ever had. Rhys and Rook are the hottest men I have ever read. And oh my gosh the things that are still to come have left me so excited and anxious for more of this triad. I just cannot imagine what Rook,Rhys and Elewyen are going to go through to get their happy ever after in this world of magic, corruption and so many mysteries that are still to uncover.

I was super honored to receive an ARC for Anywhere.
This was a great book with a very different, exciting, and interesting story. The story itself pulled me in right away, but it did take me a couple of chapters to get used to the Irish dialect. Once I got it, though, it didn't bother me at all.
It explores a world where the magically gifted rule the world and control almost everything, and the humans don't know anything different. The story centers around an MMF relationship, and it's all the slowburn spice that you need.
Wonderfully written and amazingly imaginative!
It does end on a cliffhanger, but it made me more excited for the next in the series!

This world is so consuming I do not want to leave it. I am so happy that it is a series!
The plot was so captivating that I forgot that I had to live outside of it’s pages. From the angst to the suspense, everything was just chef’s kiss 💋.
The spice is 🥵 so hot! Rhys and Rook, Rhys and Elewyn, Rook and Elewyn and then yes!!!! I can’t get enough! How can this be that good?
The characters and their development is too notch. The world that is created is exciting and fun. Let’s not forget about Barry.

This is such a good book. Struggled a little at the beginning but so worth it at the end. Brooklyn did awesome!! Dark, hot, plot twist, PNR, and great characters. Once again, the scenes were spot on!

Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
👉I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review👈
Tropes: enemies to lovers, fated mates, MM, MF, MMF, virgin FMC, domination
This book blew me away! The world building is great for a dystopian paranormal MMF romance. The main characters are picked by the spirits to form a triad and the whole book revolves around them coming together through many challenges while their world is being torn apart by some unknown group. The smut in this book was top notch and I am so excited to read the next one!

Absolutely Fantastic
Brooklyn Cross has once again stolen the show. Anywhere is absolutely amazing. This world will have you hooked from the very beginning. We have a Paranormal Dystopian MMF Dark Romance. Enter into the world of Anywhere where Factions, Fated Mates, Triads, Dark Magic, Secrets, and Mystery are all around. I absolutely love Rhys, Rook, and Elewyen together. They all bring something special that makes their triad strong. But they must be careful because darkness is around the corner waiting to strike out. Waiting on the edge of my seat for the next installment.

I went Anywhere and I don't want to leave
Wow!! Just wow. Anywhere is absolutely amazing. If you're interested in the magical world and have some serious ideas about mm and finding the elusive female to fit "yes....fit" right in then this is jackpot. Dam it's so hotttt my kindle was overheating. Omw this is some heavy stuff.
It's a great story about the future and what would happen if the magically elite were separated into hidden communities but kept the regular population in the dark. Picture the masterminds of the world being upper-class magical beings. The regular people or "flitters" are mostly ignorant that everything known to them is only allowed by secret sects. The gifted families that run the world are given leaders granted by their great spirits. In ceremony they are pulled into a triad. The triads keep the control through the generations. They are two prominent men and a woman who is hidden from them. They must go through rituals to cement their connections and power.
Anywhere focuses on an island which keeps itself from the most modern conventions. Rhys McGregor is the next in line. Unfortunately his chosen is a rock star from the most modern mainland. Rook Adair is famous. He's also the most powerful man among the family. It's his time to do what he never wanted. Join a triad as the One. He's not the leader that Rhys is expecting. Rook doesn't want this life. But meeting Rhys makes everything different. An instant attraction between the two have these dominant men fighting for control when they need to just submit to their desires.
Women who are born with the look of the witch are tossed out by the regular people who fear magic. Elewyen is one of those. Raised by a hidden Coven, she has practiced her magic in relative solitude. She ventures out for a righteous reason. To rescue the young children like her. This adventure brings her directly to Rhys and Rook. Unknowingly she enters the territory of the ruling families and is the third in this triad.
While Rook and Rhys battle with wills and an uprising on the island, Elewyen is the peacekeeper. She is the light to these beautiful men. She can't stand by and watch history repeat itself as it discards young children and divides the women from their futures.
Follow to a mysterious island that could be...Anywhere.
