Crazy is always in season, especially when you live in the burbs.
Epic yard wars (Because it’s always a good day when you call tell the HOA to suck it.), a PTA take down (Spoiler alert - lice is a great way to clear a room), bizarre goings on at a Parents Day Out program, Little League intrigue (Apparently, you don’t know real power until you become “Commissioner” of your local Little League.), a tale of Vacation Bible School taking an, ahem, rather unfortunate turn, how to get kicked out of the Junior League (It was harder than you might think), a science fair stalker and turning Christmas inflatables into a revenge plot
All this and more are in Four Seasons of Snarky featuring some of the greatest hits from Snarky in the Suburbs. Where schemes, payback, and retribution scenarios all tell the tale of a woman who will admit she might be crazy, but you know in a good way.
Sherry Kuehl writes the popular blog Snarky in the Suburbs (www.snarkyinthesuburbs.com) that was optioned by ABC for film and television.
She’s the author of three books: Empty, Snarky in the Suburbs Back to School and Snarky in the Suburbs Trouble in Texas.
Sherry (aka Snarky) can also be seen on morning television dispensing “21st century advice with an attitude” with her “Dear Snarky” segments and she has a weekly column in the Kansas City Star that features her unique take on life.
Sherry’s background is in broadcast journalism. She’s an award-winning producer, journalist and author having worked for various television stations in Texas, CNN, The Wall Street Journal Report, Public Television and other news media outlets.
If you’re looking for a funny, uproarious good time in suburbia this is the book for you. The author walks us through the trials and tribulations of many issues we all have either experienced or known. Barbara, the neighborhood snooty HOA enforcer (c’mon you know at least one of these people). Unsure which was better the garden takedown or the Christmas party. It’s goes on and on. Do have to tell you that as the judge in a school science fair our lady has the best final statement, I cheered.
MS Kuehl is a gifted writer who can make you believe there is justice in the world of Mean Moms Who Run the PTA . Her books are full of ridiculous schemes that make you laugh out loud as you cheer on the antics of suburban moms who simply want equal opportunities for their kids. Her books are fun reads. I hope to read all her work before school resumes. Not that I would try any of Jer schemes...
I laughed all the way through this book. Sherry Kuehl does things I can only dream about being brave enough to do. I enjoyed this book very much. I love her podcasts also. She’s hilarious.
