Amalie Skram (22 August 1846 – 15 March 1905) was a Norwegian author and feminist who gave voice to a woman's point of view with her naturalist writing. She moved to Denmark in 1894 where she settled in Copenhagen with her husband, the Danish writer Erik Skram. She is considered the most important female writer of the Modern Breakthrough.

Love Actually fra 1905

Som alltid treffer Amalie Skram meg på måter jeg ikke skulle trodd, men det er veldig tydelig at verket er uferdig, og det blir litt forvirrende til tider grunnet den store mengden karakterer og forhold.

En litt lett roman om alt som skjer i den følelsesmessige verdenen som blir skapt i relasjonene mellom mennesker. Og det tunge ved å prøve å både passe inn, og det å bryte ut av regler og normer fra samfunnet.
Gir en del tanker å lese en bok fra over hundre år siden og se at vi er fortsatt helt like ned hverandre. Vi er uansett bare mennesker.

Amalie Skram si siste bok. Ho får alltid fram det samansatte og uperfekte i oss menneske. Alle lyster, tvil, begjær og draumar. All vinkelmodigheten. Her følger vi søskenparet Rask på besøk hjå den ustadige presten Blix som er bror til hennar forlovede. Utruskap, flørting og forelsking over ei låg sko. Det er ikkje lett å vere ung og skulle gjere så viktige og endelege val i ektefelle.
