In the third book of The Little Vampire series, we have quite a shift in the dynamics of Tony and Rudolph's friendship as Tony's family needs to go away on a trip. Guess what though--Rudolph wants to come along as well!
The problem?
Well, he's a vampire, for one...
And two, they also need to bring his coffin along.
Ahem, inconspicuously, of course.
The divisions of this book are split into some very short chapters, but everything is just entertaining and there seems to be a lot going on and a lot of close calls! Leaves the reader in anticipation for what will happen in the next book, and finding out what hilarious antics Rudolph and Tony will get up to on a farm!
Will be reading soon to find out!

Was man zu Weihnachten nicht alles aus dem fernen Deutschland erhält! Bei einer jährlichen Paketaktion mit einer guten Freundin habe ich nun die Möglichkeit erhalten, weit in die Kindheit zurück zu reisen. "Der kleine Vampir verreist", das dritte Buch von Angela Sommer-Bodenburg um Vampir Rüdiger (was für ein Name!) und sein "normaler" Freund Anton, ist eine kurzweilige Geschichte um die Wirrungen einer Zugreise mit einem Untoten.
Natürlich bin ich nicht mehr ganz in der Zielgruppe, darum ist die Bewertung dieses kurzen Buches eher zweitrangig, trotzdem fühlte ich mich gut unterhalten und einige Stellen waren sehr witzig. Natürlich aber lebt "Der kleine Vampir verreist" immer wieder von Klischees und endet da, wo es für mich eigentlich wahrlich spannend werden würde – beim Urlaub. Als Abwechslung aber wunderbar frisch, trotz der vielen Jahre.

A little bit slice of life in this one, the main event doesn't happen until towards the end, where Anton and Rüdiger have to take the train with Rüdiger's (wrapped) coffin late in the evening so Rüdiger can keep Anton company on his vacation with his parents on the countryside.

Uno mas de los libros de El pequeño vampiro que releo, ya que hace algunos años me propuse releerlos todos siendo adulta.
En esta ocasión Anton se prepara para viajar con sus padres a una granja en un pequeño pueblo, y para no aburrirse le dice al pequeño vampiro que este irá con él, así que ambos tienen que ingeniarselas para viajar a escondidas con el ataud del vampiro hasta la granja.
La verdad es que me ha gustado mucho, y he estado pensando mucho en el concepto de "terror" para niños que teniamos en los 80, ya que hoy en día no daria nada de miedo, bueno, no creo que en aquel entonces tampoco. Pero leerlo es entrañable y me hace mucha gracia.

A decir verdad, "El Pequeño Vampiro se va de viaje" no termina de convencer como las entregas anteriores. Aunque no es un desastre total, podría haber sido mucho más impactante.
👉 La trama sigue el viaje en tren del vampiro y Anton hasta una granja, lo cual suena emocionante, pero la ejecución resulta un tanto... simplona. 😕🚆
👉 En comparación con los primeros tres libros, este parece quedarse corto en términos de emoción y desarrollo. ¡Una lástima, ya que el potencial estaba ahí! 📚💔
En resumen, si buscas una historia más elaborada y apasionante, quizás quieras explorar otras opciones. Este libro se siente un poco plano en comparación con sus predecesores. 🚄🤷♂️

Uwielbiałam Wampirka za dzieciaka! Nie mogłam też się wówczas doczekać kolejnych tomów (w bibliotece ciągle wszystkie tomy były w wypożyczeniu, więc seria cieszyła się dość wielkim 'wzięciem'). Bardzo klimatyczna, wciągająca i zwyczajnie przyjemna.

Immer noch gut geschrieben und immer noch gut gesprochen.
Wenn ich Anton wäre, wäre ich nicht mit Rüdiger befreundet. Der Junge ist mega unfreundlich und undankbar. Anton riskiert alles für seinen Vampir und der lässt ihn einfach mitten in der Nacht allein zurückfliegen ?!

Volume ketiga dari seri petualangan/persahabatan Anton si anak manusia dan Rudi si drakula cilik. Kali ini, kisahnya tentang 'hari jadi drakula' Anna dan perjalanan Anton naik kereta malam dalam rangka menyelundupkan Rudi (dan peti matinya) ke sebuah desa yang akan jadi tempat tujuan liburan keluarga Anton.... yah, kalau si Count Dracula-nya Bram Stoker naik kapal, si Rudi naik kereta.
Hal-hal yang saya suka:
-Interaksi Anton dengan Rudi yang egois, Anna yang manis dan keren, dan Lumpi si kakak sok jagoan yang kali ini mendapat porsi tampil cukup banyak.
-Pesta ultah ala drakula: hidangannya susu basi dan permainannya lompat peti mati :v
-Perjalanan naik kereta yang penuh lika-liku, ribut-ribut ala bocah (adegan Rudi yang ngamuk-ngamuk setelah kalah main halma rasanya realistis sekali), dan kekoplakan saat harus menyembunyikan identitas dari ibu-ibu yang kelewat ramah
-Seperti biasa, gaya dialog yang mengalir apa adanya, humor yang menyenangkan, dan ilustrasi yang berhasil menggambarkan kepribadian para karakternya dengan amat baik.
Hal-hal yang saya suka:

In the middle of blood, guts, and strange encounters of the spirit world, I thought I'd take a break from my usual Halloween diet and read something light. The Little Vampire series has been my favorite since I was a kid, and I figured October would be the perfect month to continue with the series.
Rüdiger, a vampire who's scared of the dark and loves reading vampire stories, has settled back into the vault he was banished from in the previous installment, but now he's once again gotten himself into a bit of a jam. He needs to avoid a guest who's been invited for a visit in his family vault, but luckily reluctant Anton is going to the countryside for a holiday with his parents, and Anton invites Rüdiger to keep him company.
For me, the appeal of the series is seeing how differently vampires live compared to humans, and the little sparks of suspense when the friends face difficulties. Here, Anton gets to spend a so called vampire day by jumping on coffins and drinking spoilt cocoa. Before the holiday begins, though, he and Rüdiger take Rüdiger's coffin to the cottage by train, but they need to keep an eye on the old lady who shares their compartment, in case she finds her glasses and sees she's sitting opposite a real vampire. Again, Anton's parents are oblivious to what their son is up to when they're out of the house or when they're sleeping!
Aunt Dorothee, on the other hand, is again a constant danger to Anton. Even when she doesn't appear in the flesh, she's still usually mentioned several times in passing in the books and gets to be a kind of villain who might jump (or fly) out of the shadows at any given moment. This makes the nightly excursions slightly creepy, so despite there being cute or funny stuff happening, you won't forget these are vampires who feed on humans. Then again, it never gets too scary, so Aunt Dorothee feeding on drunk people and getting an alcohol poisoning is just a source of amusement.

Aku suka banget sama seri ini. Perjalanan di kereta api yang menegangkan sekaligus kocak bikin aku terus teringat sama ceritanya sampai detik ini. Ingat makanan yang disajikan di kereta. Yumm. Walau si Rudi emang nyebelin banget, tapi aku tetep suka. Dan walau Ana itu drakula, aku tetap kepingin dia jadian sama Anton. ^___^ b

Se puede leer pero es bastante peor que los dos anteriores porque el humor funciona mucho menos y el vampiro se pone algo insoportable.

De los que llevo leídos no es el que más me ha gustado, era interesante hasta que han llegado al tren, se que el libro de llama "el pequeño vampiro se va de viaje" pero toda la parte del tren abarcaba demasiado de la historia por no decir que no a sido muy entretenida, se lleva 3 estrellas por la nostalgia

This book was a little disappointing because we never got to the vacation. This book was all about trip preparation and my grandson had vacation 'story' related expectations. Well we have the next book to read. Perhaps he'll be happier with the second half of the vacation trip.

Ich mag die Reihe vom Kleinen Vampir. Schade fande ich nur, dass es genau da endet, wo es für mich spannend wurde: beim Urlaub. Den Teil von Annas Vampirtag hätte man weglassen können und dafür etwas auf den Urlaub eingehen. Mich hätte sehr interessiert wie Rüdiger den Bauernhof so findet..

I read this as a child, and now I’ve read it for my eldest during bedtime. He adores it! The star rating is therefore based on his opinion, seeing as I personally found it a bit more boring than I did when I was a child myself. 😅

De niña, nunca supe de la existencia de esta serie. Así que ahora me pongo al corriente y de los tres libros que he leído de la serie, hasta ahora es el que mas me ha gustado.
