A multigenerational tale of the heroic Joestar family and their never-ending battle against evil!
The legendary Shonen Jump series is now available in deluxe hardcover editions featuring color pages! JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a groundbreaking manga famous for its outlandish characters, wild humor and frenetic battles.
Secco and Bruno Bucciarati are going head-to-head, quickly shifting between traveling underground and through zippers with their Stand powers in an attempt to gain the upper hand. Bucciarati has never faced a threat like this, but will the mysterious changes to his body and his enemy's overwhelming power crush him, or can he eke out a win just in time?
Hirohiko Araki ( 荒木飛呂彦) is a Japanese manga artist. He left school before graduation from Miyagi University of Education.
He enjoys the baseball manga Kyojin No Hoshii (Star of the Giants); the video games Mario Kart and Bomberman; and likes Prince and other African-American singers, as well as jazz, rock, and rap.
I was kinda discouraged when I heard that the last volume would be really short, so that might be the reason I rated it 4/5. The main villain was a brilliant idea, but I feel like we didn’t get enough time to actually get to know him more. Doppio got enough time for us to understand him, but when Diavolo appeared, and then disappeared for half of the volume, I just felt like something was missing. I needed a bit more time for him to feel like THE MAIN VILLAN. Overall, a solid volume. The last volume awaits. Let’s see what happens.

Garbage volume. Part 5 is where JoJo starts to get bad. This is one of the worst so far. The art is terrible. So much of it is incomprehensible. Parts 3 and 4 read smoothly and effortlessly. Not so here. It’s a struggle to decipher the mess of sprawling, twisted figures, inconsequential detail, and poor framing.
None of the characters are likable. (All dull and criminals) Facial expressions are weak. Sameface syndrome. The plotting becomes increasingly convoluted and nonsensical.
The first fight, bucciarati vs secco is a total snooze. Goes on way too long and ends badly, not with a clever resolution, but with some blown out tires and a zipper attack.

The rest is even more of a mess. We get the return of Polnareff, my favorite character in all JoJo, but it’s an inauspicious cameo, in which he shows up in a wheelchair then promptly dies and turns into a turtle. Narancia also dies and I couldnt care less.
Among the only interesting segments are the vignettes involving random people affected by requiem’s ability. A woman switched with a baby. A man with a girl etc. These parts display some of Araki’s trademark bizarre humor, generally lacking in part 5.
Anyway, plot wise, the boss has 2 souls which are now split — doppio & diavolo. diavolo is planning to get the arrow. Requiem (Polnareff’s evolved stand) is transforming all life forms into creatures? Giorno is back in his body. Bucciarati is in diavolo’s body. Trish and mista switched. We don’t know who diavolo inhabits. The turtle is transforming.
