This is book six of the Dragon Rules series and the main characters are Natalie, who was brought up human but is just discovering and trying to deny her status as a druid like her best friend Mara, and dragon Cole Rule who she thinks hates her, but is in fact her protector and so much more. Mara’s dragon mate and leader of the Rule clan, Legion, takes her and Natalie to the warded cave where the remaining dragons are sleeping, waiting for their mates to be revealed, when they see a silver dragon has awoken, but his scales turn black as they watch. He has been turned by the dark mage and must be put down, but Legion must protect his mate and Natalie as well. The dark mage has managed to gain an artifact that allows him to communicate with the sleeping dragons, persuading them they have no mates and those who were weaker minded have succumbed to his lies. Two further dragons have awoken, also turning black, by the dark mage Allorin! Natalie moved to Aurora with her drunken father as a child, after having a vision from her childhood imaginary friend, as she saw her, to come to a place called Aurora. That is where she met Mara and got taken in by her father after her father abandoned her! Her only other human (or druid) friends are Tempest and Jake. She hadn’t seen this imaginary friend since, until today. The woman is actually Adara, who resides in another realm where the druid temple still exists. She tells Natalie exactly what she is, a druid, but also the daughter and a keeper of a circle.
Natalie is told what will happen if she fails to fulfil her role as a druid and the consequences of her refusal to take up her role, wanting to simply be human still. The druids will fall, dragons will turn dark and enslave humanity. But her main objection is what she gets told next and involves her and a dragon, plus the next generations! One power Natalie had always had was for plants of any kind, which seemed to grow rapidly, but she still thought this was a normal ability as a human. She is certainly in denial for a large part of the story, especially about Cole and what he is to her. Natalie’s magic is rising, and she will come into her full powers on her twenty third birthday, an important marker for a druid and also for any dragon who is their mate. Any dragon without a fated mate will either remain sleeping or turn dark and need to be killed. Unfortunately, they have this dark mage and those dragons he has turned, trying to gain more power and access to rest of the dragons. He also wants Natalie for the role she has, and Mara’s sister who has been distant for some time. If he can stop Natalie fulfilling her role, then he will win! The druid temple will never have the power to be made whole again and the sacrifices of the past would have been in vain. A lot of pressure on Natalie and her upbringing has made her difficult to connect with and for her to trust others. Finding out she is expected to have a completely different future and that is not what she wanted nor expected, has thrown a huge spanner into her life. She wants to have control and the choices about her life, after so much was forced upon her as a child by her father and even her grandfather. She wants the choice of what her life will be, not someone else to do that for her! Looking forward to so much more to happen in the series with dragons needing to find their mates and an evil dark mage to stop, to save their futures. Natalie is besties with Mara and they run Inn Plain Sight. Now that Mara is mated to the leader of the dragons and the druids (all females) are popping up, the dragons are awakening the cave that they have been in for over a millennia. Natalie, Mara, Legion and Cole go into the caves as one of the dragons is waking. Things go awry and Natalie is in danger and they figure out that she is a Druid awakening to her power. Druids awaken to their power fully on their 23rd birthday. That is also when their dragon mate, can claim them. Certain druids are needed to find artifacts that can be returned to the Temple, and once that happens fully, then the Temple will finally exist on this plane of existence once again. The evil mage is messing with things and trying to stop this from happening and there are also dark dragons- those who have gone black- who have lost their hope and their color and are now a danger to the druids and the colored dragons. Each dragon that turns, breaks my heart. Now there are new ways that the mage is messing with the sleeping dragons. It made me cry, as did a few other things.
A major reveal is in this book- I chewed my nails to the quick on this one. The book was so awesome! I can’t wait for the next one. I’m totally in love with one of the new dragons, Rhadan. Totally yum! Lol.

Natalie is a few days away from her 23rd birthday and is supposed to be coming into her powers as a Druid. She still isn’t convinced that she is anything but human, but as events unfold, she can no longer deny her destiny. When Cole tells her that she is his mate, she isn’t really buying that either. She has thought that he hated her because she was human ever since they met. But the dragons have taken a vow not to pursue their mates until they come into their powers, so he has been keeping his distance for both their sakes.
When dragons start awakening from their hibernation, they are waking up as dark dragons turned by an evil mage. Natalie is determined to find out why and figure out how to stop him. But as her powers emerge and she finds out that the fate of the Dragon’s and the Druids rests on her shoulders she is overwhelmed and fights her fate. She and Cole must work together to save their kind or all shall perish.

This was a great book and the main characters had me cheering for them and hoping they can have their HEA but there is Evil enemy that plans to stop them at any cost. Natalie Lesko has just turned 23 yrs old and is a Druid that’s just coming into her powers and with her best friend Mara called the Inn Plain Sight and she is mated to the dragon shifter leader and with there help she can learn to control them. Cole Rule is a dragon shifter who has just found his mate In Natalie and now she is of age he can finally claim her but there is an evil presence that will stop that from happening and even the black dragon that have lost hope are in danger as well. How does it all work out when there is danger all around them and there is drama, action, mystery, twists and turns, mayhem and love.

This is an amazing story. This storyline is getting better as the series progresses. Natalie is having a hard time coming to terms with being a druid. She feels as if she has no control over her own life. An even bigger secret is revealed which puts a bigger strain on her relationship with Cole. Is she even ready for what's to come. This was a great story from start to finish. As part of a series you'll want to read in series order so you can follow the story from beginning. Tia is an amazing author who can write a story and capture your attention. I highly recommend this series. If you like paranormal romances and dragons you love this series.

I love this series. Each couple has a wonderful HEA. Each journey to said HEA is unique. I love how the couples are paired by their magic and power.
Cole had a lot to make up for after his disastrous first meeting with Natalie. I loved his innovative actions to make this happen. And then to keep avoiding her, what is she to think. She is tasked with more than just the "usual" all of the druids were tasked with. I loved the twists and surprises.
Action from the git go. The back story is getting more complex as well.
Excellent series. Can't wait for Kell's story.

All the books in this series are amazing, exciting and very enjoyable to read. Wonderful detail in design of world building and beautifully written characters with strong personalities that grab your attention and hold you spellbound from beginning to end. I love the interaction between Cole and Natalie as they both battle deadly enemies intent on destroying all they love. Cole loves Natalie but she struggles with her feelings. This gets better with every book can’t wait for the next book. I loved every second of this book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 🥰🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Making her own choices is deeply important to Natalie, so when she feels her ability to choose is being led by fate, she fights against the strong pull she feels toward Cole. This is an excellent story. I loved the misunderstanding between Cole and Natalie. It really put a wrinkle on things for them. My favorite scene was when Natalie woke up with Cole for the first time.

We have arrived at the sixth book in the Dragon Rules series and we get the story of Cole.. Cole and Natalie are still busy removing the evil mage and it is not easy for them, They want to achieve that all female dragons can go back to find their mates again. This whole series is great and definitely a must read.

When Natalie met Cole she had an instant dislike as he turned around and left her store. Natalie is a druid and she will be sent on a challenge when she comes fully into her powers. They will have to work together and Natalie will have to accept that they are attracted to each other and are destined to be mates. I really enjoyed reading this story.

Natalie always thought Cole hated her, how was she to know that she was his mate. Her powers are about to emerge and evil is looking her way and waiting.
Cole knows that his way of dealing with his passion was wrong but has little clue on how to fix it . Being Natalie's protector gives him a chance to get closer to her and perhaps change he mind.

Really disappointed with this one. I have to admit I only read 7 or 8 chapters and then skipped to the last two. I just couldn't stand Natalie, she just killed the book for me. One thing really bothered me. In Thorn's book we were told that Ella is pregnant and would have a son. This book tells us that Natalie will be the first to have a baby, and without that happening none of the druids would get pregnant. Did I miss something?

She has to find the truth herself to accept her future and he is strong enough to wait, maybe.

Cole and Natalie’s book drive the dragons further in their cause to eradicate the evil mage and bring female dragon shifters back by bonding with their true mates. Several twists as well as some turns had me reading this all night long ! It has me hanging on by a fingernail for book 7 in the series !!.

I loved this book it was so enjoyable. I can’t believe how much is put on Natalie’s shoulders but she is a strong woman who just gets on with it and has some really good people to turn to and lean on. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Kell, Alana and Rhadan.

The Dragon Rules series is great. Cole has known which druid was meant to be his dragons mate, but was waiting until she turned 23. Natalie thinks his aloofness means he doesn't care for her. Together they need to help the other druids and dragons. A really great romance.

This was an awesome addition to the series and I loved Natalie and Cole together. There were so many twists and surprises, throughout, and I have to say, the back story is getting more complex as we go along. Expect a ton of action and fab interactions between our couple to have you fully engaged in their outcome. I'm really enjoying this series and can't wait for the next book :D

Cole and Natalie’s story is a great addition to the series. They are working to get the evil mage gone and bring the female dragons to bond with their mates. But there are twists that make this a interesting storyline!.

With Cole’s and Natalie’s story the plot thickens. Natalie finds out she is the catalyst for the new beginnings for the dragons and Rhett Druids. Also you find out a bit more about Alana. This was a good read.

This was incredible, it was a hide from the family and devour this whole book kinda book. I loved the miscommunications and the resisting of fate it was such a good read.

Cole and Natalie have a twists filled story. There are some amazing revelations. It had me on the edge of my seat. It is an incredible read that had me fully invested from page one. I highly suggest reading this series from the beginning and highly recommend this book!
