GIA

I was living the American dream.
My life was perfect...until it wasn't.
Until everything I knew was taken away in the blink of an eye.
But I'm stronger than I look. I was going to be fine.
Then HE came along.
Fabrizio Moretti.
The Devil in disguise.
I found myself trapped in a world I knew nothing about,
until he opened my eyes and showed me his world, in all its glory.
Can I go back to life as I knew it before him?
The real question is, do I want to?

FABRIZIO

I had it all.
Power. Money. Women.
Being Don of the Italian Mafia,
I have all of Boston at my feet...
until SHE came along.
Gia D'Amato
My wildcard.
With her lies and half-truths and sinful body,
I'll show her what the real world is like.
And expose her in the process.
The farther I push her, the farther I fall
and for the first time in my life, I'm at a crossroads.
Do I continue on the path to destruction or should
I follow my heart for the woman who makes it beat?

The plot development was taking its time...
Regardless, it was an interesting mafia romance read, it had suspense, action, secrets, betrayal, romance and steam!

Fabrizio and Gia made a great pair! I liked her sassiness and his protectiveness. The pent up energy between them was crystal clear!
His constant thoughts though of having sex with her were repetitive.

Gia was calling him Fabi which (to me) wasn’t a suitable nickname for a mafia Don but rather for a puppy.

Some things didn’t make sense.
For example, Fabrizio was in a car accident and the repercussions were twelve stitches in his side, a concussion and a dislocated, badly bruised, and sprained elbow.
Yet, a couple of days later he threw Gia over his shoulder, as to take her to the house, and later he was in the gym lifting weights.
He must have been a superman as to do the above since he had been injured. He couldn’t have healed so soon!

Insta lust and too much sex didn’t work for me🤷🏻‍♀️, yet it was an ok debut.

"For as long as I live, you'll be safe, amore mio."
It's not easy to write a book. It's hard to put yourself out there not knowing what people will think, and I feel like that's especially true when you’re writing your debut. These two ladies had balls, and this was a great one - if you're looking for that 'touch her and you're dead' vibe, you’ll be all over Fabrizio. Like I was.

"But a man like that? He would destroy me. He would take my world and smash it to smithereens."
Fabrizio Moretti. There's so much I want to say about him but I feel like you should experience who he is. He's a don, and he runs a tight ship. It's not easy to get past him, or his men. He's hot, he's violent, but he'll go to extremes both to get what he wants and to protect what he loves. And when what he wants and loves is you... Damn! Yes, please.

"There's just something about her that keeps pulling me in. It's almost become an obsession for me."
I have to confess I wasn't into Gia at first. I know she's been through a lot but she threw herself a pity party, and so it took me a bit to see her for who she is. She's strong and determined, she doesn't like people who are chipper in the morning (I can so relate!), and she's wondering what happened to her life. Until Fabi comes along and changes everything. Literally.

"If this woman were to look me dead in the eye, I'd drop to my knees before her."
Gia's ex-husband stole from Fabrizio, and he wants what's his, so he kidnaps her for information. From the start, you can see that's not all he wants, but OK, let's go with that because there’s that river in Egypt and all. He takes her to his house, locks her up in a room, and waits for her to tell him what she knows.
But, you know, attraction + forced proximity = steam!

I can show you how it feels to be worshiped, to have a real man's hands on your body and make you come so hard you'll forget your own name."
The. Tension! He doesn't let up, and she's feisty. She doesn’t back away, and she’s not afraid. They both know what they want, but they keep denying themselves what they both need, and it was enough to drive me up the wall. I mean, come on and do it already!

"I swear I'll kill him if he doesn't stick his dick in me within the next thirty seconds."
Fabi and Gia were explosive. It's not an ideal situation and yes, she's been kidnapped, but you can see the guy's fallen for her and that she's falling for him. The only people who don't see it? The two of them. It's infuriating as much as it's endearing, because beneath the possessive alphahole is a guy who will literally do anything for her.

"You're mine, and I will kill anyone who ever tries to take you away from me."
There’s a lot going on, and there’s a lot to discover about who stole Fabrizio’s money, and even about her past. But there came a time when it didn't matter anymore and I didn’t even care. I just wanted more of them, because they were perfect.

Also, the stuff that comes out of this man’s mouth… it’s hot wrapped up in dirty talk with a beautiful, possessive, ‘she’s mine’ bow to top it off and I was here for all of it!

”He is now, and always will be, my beautiful devil.”
There’s nothing normal about their relationship, but that ending… that epilogue… I just can’t. It turned out to be more than a beautiful devil, but also, and foremost, a beautiful book.

I can’t wait to read more by these two!

I loved this book. I read this one in two days and wish I could have read it even faster. It took me a few chapters to get into it but as soon as Fabi and Gia were interacting together I couldn’t put it down. I loved the chemistry they had together. Be warned, this story is addicting! I found myself obsessively reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen with the plot. I also wanted to see how their relationship would deepen. I do have some issues with this book but to be honest they are all pretty minor. Yes, there was an insta obsession but that actually didn’t bother me this time. I thought his obsession with her fit how his character was. What bothered me the most was the back and forth and the constant mood swings. I didn’t mind it in the beginning but it started to get old by the end. I thought I was going to get whiplash with how much it was happening. But again, that was just a minor issue. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and would definitely recommend it. It was well written, easy to read, fast paced, and has a good balance of story/smut. If smut is not for you then I would recommend skipping those parts but don’t skip the story because even without those scenes this story would be great. I am looking forward to the second book in the series!

I was lucky enough to get the ARC and it didn't disappoint!

I have been on this journey with you from the start and I'm so fricking proud of you both 💓

How you have managed to write a book together with the obstacles in your way I find absolutely amazing 👏

I ugly girl cried at the end of this book as although I knew you would write a good book I was not expected this!

Gia is kidnapped by Fabrizio after her world is turned upside down by her current husband! He wants what's been stolen from him! The forced proximity and tension is there from the start! I loved Gia's fiestiness never wavered no matter what was thrown at her and Fabrizio alphaness but also tenderness just made him swoony! He can kidnap me any day!

This is the perfect mafia romance with the right balance of spicy 🔥🔥🔥 and action! This book will have you guessing until the end!

This has first pancake written all over it. Uncooked in the middle, but somehow burned on one side

You know how there's writing that shows you, and writing that tells? Welcome to ANNOUNCING writing. It doesn't just tell you, it TELLS you multiple times just in case you're recently concussed.

I have never gotten so much secondhand embarrassment like I did with Fabi. He announces that he's the head of the Italian mafia, in his head and out loud multiple times through the whole thing

What mafioso goes around telling people that?

Fabi is unintentionally that crap character that's usually the bad guy in other books- he tantrums like a toddler, treats his own people poorly, and of course Gia too. The guy who becomes head of the family, because his father died, but doesn't deserve it- that no one respects. You know, the one that usually does something stupid, dies and people are like 'eh oh well' and breath a sigh of relief

I swear I tried to stop being embarrassed for him, but everytime he lashed out and hit one of his men- and explained it away by IM THE HEAD OF THE ITALIAN MAFIA

Bro. Stop saying it. Brag that he has supernatural healing abilities- sprained elbow, needs stitches, actual concussion- but next day he's picking Gia up and throwing her around, and working out at the gym. WHY injure the character if you don't want an injured character?

Just. So much was missing. He treats Gia like crap. She develops Stockholm syndrome, but tries to leave when she finally catches him talking shit about her. Gets kidnapped/beat up. And he paces and says he loves her, and that's it. All good.

And then it tried to claim the dude he's called the second in command is like a brother and they're sooooo loyal. Nah boo ya can't just say it at the end, when he's abused and discarded his people the whole time.

Yes. Usually in this trope the HEAD OF THE ITALIAN MAFIA(seriously I can't, I needed him to stop) has brotherly love/loyalty, respect.

But that is not this character. And Gia is a sad simpering shadow of a character. She's barely there. She cries and pukes so much. Everytime she vomits and they almost kiss, I cringed in a different PLEASE GO BRUSH YOUR TEETH THIS ISNT HOT way.

It's novice writing, you can tell what the attempt was though- and I think there might be potential in there. Maybe just an editor to point out the obvious?

KindleUnlimited, so if you want to feel embarrassed/bad for for the HEAD OF THE ITALIAN MAFIA and cringe a bit- go to town

"𝒴𝑜𝓊'𝓇𝑒 𝓌𝒽𝒶𝓉 ℐ 𝓌𝒶𝓃𝓉. 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒽𝓊𝓈𝒷𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓁𝑒 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓂𝑒, 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓎𝑜𝓊, 𝓂𝓎 𝓁𝒾𝓉𝓉𝓁𝑒 𝑔𝒶𝓉𝓉𝒾𝓃𝒶, 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝒽𝒾𝓈 𝓅𝒶𝓎𝓂𝑒𝓃𝓉."

I will preface this review with I am VERY particular about mafia romances. I've put down so many because they just don't hit the mark. But THIS...THIS DEBUT novel....this novel hits the mark my friends! I'm still reeling over here trying to compute that this is their first novel because it was so good! I literally didn't want to put it down!

"ℐ'𝓂 𝓅𝒾𝓈𝓈𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝓀 𝒶 𝓌𝑜𝓂𝒶𝓃 𝓌𝒽𝑜 𝓉𝓇𝒾𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝓈𝓉𝑒𝒶𝓁 𝒻𝓇𝑜𝓂 𝓂𝑒 𝑔𝑒𝓉𝓈 𝓂𝓎 𝒹!𝒸𝓀 𝓈𝑜 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀!𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒹."

First, I love that Gia is so strong. Even though everything that could possibly go wrong for her actually does, she stands firm and doesn't back down. Her feistiness and lack of fear towards Fabi honestly brought me all the joy!

"𝒢𝑜𝑜𝒹 𝑔𝒾𝓇𝓁, 𝑔𝒶𝓉𝓉𝒾𝓃𝒶."

Honestly, what is it about an Italian man that gives great nicknames? Fabi is so hot. And while, yes, he's the don of the italian mafia, he's also a MAN. He knows what he wants, and while he may not be happy about that, he doesn't shy away from it. He takes what he wants and gives zero apologies. And I'm. Here. For. It.

I loved this book so much! Everything about it!! This is now in my top fav mafia reads! This book is delicious! I’m beyond shocked that this was a debut book bc these ladies knocked it out of the park! I was completely engulfed in this world!

Gia - I love he character! Even after everything she’s endured, she’s still so strong and demands her independence! I also love the way she just melts for Fabi! I mean who wouldn’t! He kidnapped her and is demanding answers for what her “husband” stole from him.

Fabi - the Don of the Italian Mafia! The man had it all, Power, Money and an obsession over Gia. But when he finds out she’s actually innocent in all this, things change. He’s now determined to make her his and protect her for at all cost!

Their story is beautiful! Full of
Action, tension and steam! 🌶️ seriously I love the two of them together! They are fire!

I can’t wait for the next book in the series! Elle and Dom! 🥵

I loved this so so much. I’m a sucker for mafia dark romance and let me tell you THIS did not disappoint. It had all of my favourite tropes and the spice was 🔥🥵. There were several times throughout the book where I was on the edge of my seat and my heart was in my throat. It had me feeling ALL the emotions, especially near the end. (I’m not gonna say why, I don’t want to spoil it 😜)

My heart now belongs to Fabi 😍

Honestly ladies, @authork.woods @authorersloane, for this to be your debut novel….WELL DONE 🙌 This was amazing and I am so excited for the rest of the beautiful men that are left to come 🥰

This was an arc and this review is voluntary.

Gia is feisty, smart mouthed and just wants a simple family life until she is kidnapped and forced into marriage by Fabrizio, a possessive and intense Mafia Don who wants revenge for what was taken from him. They both definitely do not expect to have their HEA.

“Oh, but my dear Gia, we’re only getting started.”

WOW! What an amazing debut novel by these authors. The storyline has you hooked, with different twists and turns. I loved Gia’s feisty independent side and Fabi’s possessive dominant side. If you enjoy a dark mafia romance, enemies to lovers, touch my wife or die vibes this is for you.

Congratulations ladies I cannot wait for the next one!

if you liked Carnal Urges by JT Geissinger then you should read this

(I received an ARC for this book)

Trigger Warnings include:
Kidnapping, forced marriage, mafia related violence, torture, murder, mention of stillbirth

”You are what I want. Your husband stole from me, and you, my little gattina, are his payment.”

This is definitely one of those “written for the book bestie” books! You can tell that these authors are readers, and knew exactly how to cater to their audience! Gia's life is completely tossed upside down. Her husband has gotten into a world of trouble, trouble that has a dangerous man on her tail. She couldn’t meet him soon enough. (Well, I couldn’t meet him soon enough.) From the moment Fabrizio saw a picture of Gia, the obsession set it. He’s the Don of the Italian Mafia in Boston, and she’s got him going on stake outs just to catch a glimpse of her. And when he’s finally got her in his grasp? That man is a goner. It doesn’t matter that he’s convinced that Gia was in on her husband’s deceit, he can’t get enough of her. Doesn’t matter what he called her, Gia is a feisty lioness. And he’d never admit it, but it only makes him want her more. I was thoroughly amused by Gia, and I loved her as a character! Especially when she went toe to toe with Fabi, or at least tried to! Sure, Don Moretti is hot with his possessiveness and controlling bossy tendencies. There's no denying that. But when he’s sweet and thoughtful, loving? Forget it. I was a goner. Nothing could have prepared me for Fabi’s calmer, more emotional side. I genuinely enjoyed that a lot of the book (I felt like the most important moments) were from Fabi’s POV. It didn’t switch to her’s when she was angry with him. Or when it was “expected”. I love that the authors didn’t shy away from exploring Fabi’s thoughts and emotions. I loved being in his head, especially when his mind was focused on Gia. The way his thoughts had a mind of their own. Being curious and protective, and so so screwed. Their sexual tension was undeniable, even though they both did their damnedest to deny it. Or well…try and keep it at bay at least a little bit. I genuinely look forward to more stories from these authors!

Wow @authork.woods @authorersloane you should be so proud. I am so shocked this is a debut novel it has blown my mind. From the very first page I was captivated by this story

Firstly I need to mention the writing style. It’s effortless. I didnt just read the words I was immersed in the story. It flowed so effortlessly, the pacing was perfect, it was a joy to read 🫶🏻

This story follows Gia who is kidnapped by mafia don Fabrizio following the conviction of her ex husband. The tension between these two is great and there is an attraction from the start. Fabi doesn’t trust Gia but he can’t stay away. I loved that Gia was feisty and could stand up for herself. This story is mafia but it is not too dark so it’s perfect if you want to try mafia romance for the first time. Often what annoys me about mafia romance is when the plot gets too complicated with multiple mafia families waging wars and you can’t keep up. This is not like that. It’s forced proximity and focuses mainly on the couple. Don’t get me wrong there is lots of action too and a twist that I never seen coming at all ❤️

Great debut and I can’t wait for the next stand-alone in this series which we get a hint of in the epilogue

Highly highly recommend. If you want to take a chance on a debut author you won’t be disappointed with this one

Gia life changes when her husband Gallo gets arrested and she divorces him. She on her own with her best friend Elle trying to move on. The next thing she knows is being kidnapped by mafia don Fabrizio. The attraction between them is intense, but he kidnapped her so she hates him. The danger just keeps getting worse for both of them someone else is trying to get them. Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended Amazing book. Love Fabi and Gia and the character development. The supporting characters are so wonderful. Love Marco. This is a debut novel and it’s so good. I can’t wait to see what they take us.

What a debut from these 2 new baby authors.
Fabi and Gia are literally everything. The chat, chemistry and tension is off the charts amazing. So much BDE 🥵.
The way they fell melted my heart. The love and care was there - just needed that kick up the backside to make them realise.
Fabi - this man despite being a Don needed that love and my god he is beautiful
Gia - fiesty and sassy and gave as good as she got. My heart did hurt for her at a few points.
I'm a bit annoyed tbh - but only because I've finished this book. I could read so much more of these two. Well done my darling girls you have smashed the shit out of your debut! You should be so, so proud 🖤.

I definitely didn't plan to fall in love with a mafia don, but six weeks after being kidnapped…well, here we are.

Gia D’Amato thought she had it all. Until one night, cops came knocking on her door to arrest her husband for a crime she never imagined him capable of. She’s slowly getting back on her feet when her life takes yet another unexpected turn. She gets kidnapped by Fabrizio Moretti, don to the Italian mafia, and a man seeking revenge. Their captor-captive relationship transforms into a marriage of convenience when another man becomes a threat to Gia’s life. Constant proximity–coupled with undeniable physical attraction–softens their hostile attitude toward each other, and they soon realize that their feelings run deeper than they ever imagined possible.

This is a tricky one. I liked it, but I didn’t. I think it deserves at least a three-star review, but I also think it doesn’t.

This book started in a very interesting way. The cops were involved, and it kept me on my toes about what exactly would go down. I was particularly curious (and oddly excited) when Fabrizio entered the picture and decided to take Gia as his captive. I loved their caustic banter, especially when Gia showed that she's a woman who backs down over nothing.

But then things started to get wonky.

My main issue with this is the chemistry between Gia and Fabrizio. Around halfway through, I was expecting things to finally explode, or at least show a little spark. I, unfortunately, didn’t feel that at all. There was a heavier focus on the physical aspect of their relationship instead of the emotional one. The steamy scenes were well-written but remained just that for quite some time. By the time they showed an actual romantic connection, I thought it was too late.

Fabrizio did, however, do some groveling at the end that somehow made up for it, though not completely. I also thought that the story picked up significantly at the end. I like that there was more suspense and action that compelled me to finish.

Aside from my complaint with the chemistry, I noticed other aspects of this book that I wasn’t exactly a fan of. First and foremost, I noticed some typos and grammatical errors that were overlooked. They weren’t anything major, but being a very observant reader, they honestly kept me from having a smooth reading experience. Second, there were some woman-shaming remarks from Gia that I didn’t expect from her. I get that she was a feisty character, but the feistiness crossed the line in certain parts. Lastly, I noticed a brow-raising inconsistency in a specific scene involving Fabrizio’s health situation and the way Gia reacted. In an attempt to avoid spoiler territory, let’s just say that one should act more concerned and less playful in times of serious, life-threatening injuries.

All in all, I think this book has a solid concept, but it needs a lot more polishing. Do I recommend this book for mafia romance fans like myself? Not really. But am I interested in what this author duo has for future releases? Definitely.

Tropes: mafia (Italian) / touch her & die / (forced) marriage of convenience / forced proximity / insta-lust / enemies to lovers / mystery / alpha hero / boy obsessed

Firstly, I want to congratulate the beautiful K.Woods & ER Sloane on their debut! I feel like I've been here from the very beginning and I was so so excited and honored that they let me beta read and ARC read for them. These ladies are dear friends of mine and I am genuinely so happy for them and their book baby.

This is the first book from their upcoming Beautiful Men series and follows Gia D'Amato (aka gattina) who's recovering from events that have turned her life upside down. In comes Fabrizio Moretti (aka Fabi), Don of the Italian mafia based in Boston, and turns her life upside down. While the two start as enemies due to circumstance, their instant attraction soon turns to much more when the two are forced together due to circumstances even they aren't fully aware of.

I can't be fully objective because I've literally been here with these ladies from the get-go, but I really enjoyed reading this book (twice now, if I may add!). Gia is feisty and sassy and stands up for herself! She's your classic Italian queen in the best possible way. Fabi is obsessed and besotted by Gia from the get-go despite the former pushing his buttons constantly. He is possessive, protective and sees no one but Gia once she enters his life.

There's tension and steam and plenty of spice! There's also mystery and side plot to keep you guessing until the end, with a sprinkling of delicious Italian dirty talk ;).

It's mafia lite that's well balanced with steam, spice and plot.

If you love a mafia romance - I highly recommend giving this one a go when it releases on 19 November!

The Beautiful Devil is the first book by the authors and the first standalone in a series. It follows Gia as she adapts to her new life following the betrayal of her now ex-husband. She meets Fabrizio under less-than-ideal circumstances, and despite her best efforts, she begins to develop feelings for him.

I read this book in a day! As soon as I started, I couldn't put it down. Gia is FEISTY and she stands up for herself! Fabrizio is completely obsessed with her, even though she pushes his buttons constantly. All this makes for lots of tension between them and the push and pull is so fun! The plot has lots of mysteries to be solved and dangerous situations that keep you guessing. And I loved the sprinkling of Italian throughout (I had Google translate open!) and the fact that Fabrizio has a dog! KEEPER!

In my opinion, this book is an excellent option for readers who are interested in diving into the mafia romance genre! It isn't too dark, but the plot is still suspense-filled! While Fabrizio is a possessive alphahole, he has a good heart and tries to do right by Gia. There is a good balance of romance, spice (🥵), and plot. It also contains many of the tropes we love: forced marriage, touch her and die, one bed, enemies to lovers, insta-lust, and hot spice!
As always, please check trigger warnings!

Firstly, congrats to K. Woods & ER Sloane on their debut novel. Its no easy feat and you ladies should be so proud of yourselves!

I’m going to do this review a little differently than normal. More thoughts then summary of the book itself in order to not give anything away. But the quick and dirty of it is Gia finds her life being turned upside-down when her husband and soon to be ex, Gallo, is incarcerated for embezzlement. He was stealing funds from Don Fabrizio Morietti, who believes Gia was somehow involved. His retribution? Gia herself.

Gia is not afraid to speaker mind, must be the Italian in her (Im talking heritage, not Fabrizio 😉 - well not yet at least 😜).

Fabrizio scares everyone shitless, except for Gia. His attraction to her is instantaneous even though he tries to fight it considering she’s his captive. Hows that working for ya, Fabi?

This is a great book if dipping your toe into the Mafia world! We have suspense, tension, romance, SPICE, alpha “look at her and die” vibes, FMC not afraid to speak her mind, forced marriage/proximity.

The one thing I really liked is when the “insta-lust” started to happen, it did seem a little rushed BUT their inner dialogue acknowledged that which I thought made so much sense! Gia & Fabi are having this attraction: 1. For their kidnapper/captive, & 2. Quite quickly - but the fact that they each thought how crazy that was & K & ER literally spelled those thoughts out for us, it was like my thoughts were the same as Gia & Fabi.

What an amazing debut by these wonderful authors. We are introduced to the feisty Gia who has had the worst luck with her husband Gallo being arrested for messing with the wrong people and they can’t get more wrong than the Boston Mafia. Whilst Gia knew nothing about his crimes she has been punished by losing everything, her house, her job and her reputation but the last thing she thinks will happen is for her to also lose her freedom.

Fabrizio is the head of the Boston Mafia and when Gallo steals from him he is certain that his wife Gia had something to do with it and he goes searching for answers but what he doesn’t expect if the beautiful petite brunette to take root in his mind and make him not think of anything else fighting with his inner battles he decides to take matters into his own hands to get answers from her kidnapping her but she has wormed her way so far into his head that his lines get blurred and even though he says he will never touch a woman to hurt her Gia will be the exception to that rule but it’s not with his hands how he hurts her but with his words.

These 2 have undeniable attraction and the authors do a fantastic job of voicing how they both feel through their inner monologues and the friendships between Gia and Elle, and Fabi and Marco are great to read you can tell they took their time to think about them and not just the spice which is perfect. The flow of the story is brilliant nothing feels rushed or forced and I was hooked from the first few chapters as the suspense was there instantly. Well done ladies 🥹

This book is definitely an amazing read and a great start for a series (It is a standalone). While it does start off following Gia as she starts to adapt to a new life while working through the betrayal of her now ex-Husband Gallo (Who launders money from Fabrizio) and her feelings revolving around the situation - She meets Fabrizio under less than ideal circumstances however the feelings do begin to develop. From the beginning you see Fabrizio’s sort of obsession with her.

Fabrizio is an Italian mob Don in Boston who is not someone who you’d want to cross. While he is a possessive alphahole whose obsession is Gia, he does have a kind heart with a rough exterior. Gia while having gone through heart break is feisty, can stand up for herself and stubborn - she does frustrate and push Fab’s buttons. It’s what makes their chemistry work so well with it’s tension.

There are mysteries that need solved, tension, dangerous situations, romance, suspense, spice, plot and so much more - it will grab you and you’ll be left wanting more. It is definitely one book that I could not put down. I would highly recommend reading it!

Please make sure to check the trigger warnings before reading! This may be a book that isn’t extremely dark but there are places that may trigger certain people. If your looking for a book that is mafia, forced marriage, enemies to lovers, touch her or die, insta-lust, smutty and spicy then this is the perfect read for you!

Mafia Don Meets His Match

🩸Beautiful Devil🩸

Gia D'Amato is a feisty, independent woman, who has her life turned upside down when her husband is suddenly arrested and charged for tax evasion. Little does she know mere months later she will be kidnapped by the Don of the Italian Mafia based in Boston, the devil in disguise, Fabrizio Moretti, and once again the life she once knew will never be the same.

✨Review✨
Full disclosure this is the first Mafia romance I have ever read, but I've read an abundance of enemies to lovers, and it's my favourite trope. The banter between these two was great. Gia was very feisty and despite her circumstances wasn't afraid to talk back to Fabrizio. I loved her relationship with her best friend Elle. Fabrizio was very sexy especially when speaking Italian. I think I have confirmed with this book that my kryptonite is bilingual dirty talk 🤭. The pet names "gattina" and "dolcezza" were a nice added touch.

Overall this book was well written and I really liked the vibe. However, I would have liked to see the story progress faster. The majority of the book was based on the compound and I was hoping to get answers to my questions about Gallo, Gia's parents and Dante sooner. All of that said this is a debut novel and with that considered I think the authors did a great job.

Beautiful Devil by K. Woods and ER Sloane

Ratings:
⭐️: 4.25/5
🌶: 3.5/5

Quote: “From this second forward, I vow to make it my mission to be worthy of this woman. To make her mine.”

Tropes: mafia, kidnapping, alphahole hero, forced marriage, betrayal, enemies to lovers

——————————————————

What a wonderful debut novel by authors ER Sloane and K Woods! Gia and Fabi bring us a mafia romance that involves a kidnapping and forced marriage. Gia is a woman who keeps paying the price for her ex-husband’s crimes. Fabi is a Don who refuses to let a debt go unpaid even if it means finding his retribution in a sassy female with a habit of talking back. Together, these two have a fiery connection despite the fact that they start off disliking each other. I liked the banter between these two a lot, and how Gia never cowed to Fabi when it mattered. I think it made her more of an equal to him. Miscommunication (or rather lack of communication) is something these two will need to work on. Because they both took turns jumping to conclusions. If you’re looking for a mafia romance where the hero kidnaps the FMC, then this should be your next read!

Beautiful Devil is the Debut novel by KW and ER Slone.

Book 1 The Beautiful Men Series
This was absolutely amazing for a debut novel. I was hooked from from the first page.
It follows Gia who after finding out that her husband Gallo was charged and imprisoned for fraud and tax evasion is then kidnapped by the Don of the Italian mafia - Fabrizio Moretti.
These two are forced into marriage but their chemistry is so palpable you could feel it through the pages.
Gia was such a strong, loveable and well written female character that complemented Fabrizio’s hard mafia personality.
Being an Italian myself I really enjoyed when he would speak his native tongue and annoy Gia even more than his actions. Their tension, angst, steam and emotions both gave me whiplash in the best possible way.
I also really enjoyed the close friendship between Gia and her girlfriend Elle, it was so relatable and refreshingly adorable.
The mystery plot really kept me on the edge and loved every second of it.
Both authors did an amazing job with this book and I honestly can’t wait for the next one.
