This is way too confusing and makes no sense. They didn’t need to fuck with her memories or make it seem like they were related. Also who stops in the middle of a mission to have sex with a random person? It’s… so weird. And yeah step-brothers is totally the right cover for them when the sexual tension with her and Rory is through the roof. *rolling my eyes so hard rn*
But even her story doesn’t make sense. Her mom was sold? But she isn’t part of the deal even though she was with the mom? So who is her father? No one cares about human trafficking??
I just can’t wrap my head around all of this.

Even though I didn't have a lot of time to pick up another book in between series I'm trying to catch up on, "Twisted lies" somehow spoke to me. And boy oh boy am I glad I listened and decided to read it anyway. It had been a very long time since I was tempted multiple times to skip to the ending, because I was continuously thirsting to find out what would happen between these characters.
This book has so much drama, secrets, lies and deceit it became an absolute glorious read. The emotions are raw, and there is so much going on in the background it's masterful to see everything come together. The twists and turns the story takes are truly awesome, ending with the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. I can't wait to pick up book 2, I was devastated not being able to find a release date yet. But the author promised it's on its way, so I'm holding her to it!
There are some awesome characters included in this story: Some of them I already love, others are still shrouded in mystery I'm dying to unravel. I fell head over heels for Rory; he's the perfect combination of crazy and throubled, protective and smoking hot. Cam is slowly growing on me, and I'm really hoping to find a chapter in Arben's POV.

Tropes: omegaverse (shifters but only partial shifts shown in book) with a detailed heat scene, mafia undertones, hidden identities (the guys plant false memories in our FMCs mind and convince her they are her long-lost stepbrothers to aid in their secret mission), slight OW drama (baiting the FMC to make her jealous/hurt - done by the 1 guy in the group who "doesn't" want her but nothing actually happens), light MM during heat scene but potential for more
This was my first book from this author and I really enjoyed it! The pacing was good and I felt engaged the entire time. The plot was one of the stronger OV books I've read, almost on par with Lola and the Millionaires in terms of plot, characters, and heat. While this is more of a slow burn, there are teasing touches and lingering looks that build the tension until her heat finally comes on and that's when the real fun begins. There's some good groveling and hot dirty talk that also helps with that buildup. There is a light cliffhanger and I am so looking forward to book 2! A couple things bothered me but they were minor so I'll just briefly touch on them below.
- I didn't love that Rory finds a picture of 16 y/o Elvana (aka Elvi, our FMC) and is lusting after her in her uniform thinking about it's his fantasy come to life 🤢
- To avoid major spoilers, Elvi is attacked when she was 15 and the only way to get rid of a physical link to her attackers, a man probably 10-15 years her senior (aka a fully grown man) had to force her back into her heat (aka sleep with her - with her permission but again, she's 15!!) and give her his own bond to override the others. After that, he basically disappears from her life as to not give her the wrong idea, but she's still been obsessed with him all these years later. Idk it made me feel icky and I didn't love that... and yes this is relevant because he's back in the picture now that she's 21
- I'm so confused about Kelly... This may be an ARC copy inconsistency or maybe I just don't get it or maybe it's supposed to be confusing and it'll be cleared up in the next book... but for the majority of the book, the guys talk about a Kelly, their missing (abducted really) MALE omega who they are trying to get back (they don't talk about him to Elvi though) but through their POVs, we see the steps they are taking to find him. BUT towards the end, Link reveals the truth about who they are and what their plans are (for the most part, and I'm super impressed with how Elvi takes it (lol that's what she said)) but he says that they are looking for their SISTER Kelly who's been taken hostage. So who is Kelly? Their missing omega to whom they're bonded with or their blood sister? Again, not sure if this is an ARC inconsistency but up until that point, Kelly is referred to using he/him and in a borderline sexual manner but at the end Link talks about SHE and HER and how she's their SISTER. I don't know maybe I'm making this out to be bigger but I'm just confused. Guess I'll find out when the final copy is published!
All that aside, I still really enjoyed this book and will be waiting somewhat anxiously for book 2!

3 stars although I don't even know if I really want to rate it that.
I have mixed feelings about this book. The first 50% was so hard to get into it took me days. I genuinely thought I couldn't make it. But then the plot started picking up and getting somewhere I could comprehend.
The spice was some of the BEST I've ever read but the plot was very confusing. There were a lot of holes I was confused about, by the time the twist came I was completely lost. It isn't that the plot is not good. The idea is excellent but the problem is in execution.

Roxy Collins has moved up to my top 5 authors in a very short space of time. Her writing is impecable, incredibly spicy and absolutely mouthwatering. She balances the fine line between taboo and pure filth in this absolutely steamy reverse harem.
Chapter by chapter I found myself with more questions and enthralled by each and every character. Exactly how a book should be!
Read this if you’re into fated mates, reverse harem and a level 15 spice o’meter. If you’re into hunking green men, go check out her backyard goblins series too - you will leave frustrated, but never disappointed.

I seriously don't understand almost every omegaverse author's urge nowadays to turn everything into RH, even when it doesn't need to. I mean, when you have a character like Arben Marku in you, why not try and keep it MF. And duh, I am saying it as someone who far prefers MF/MM over RH. Coz almost every time RH disappoints in some aspect or other. And this one also has its fair share of stupidity.
Another thing I don't understand is the force-fed fake step-brothers trope. I think its supposed purpose is to give readers that taboo feeling. But it feels unnecessary and stupid to me. Anyway, again stepbrother thing is not taboo for me.
But on to the next, because this ends on a cliffy.

I loved this darker side of “sweet” omegaverse! It’s a great blend of mafia thriller, intrigue, and omegaverse elements. It is a unique concept, enemies to lovers, where the FMC doesn’t know she is the enemy because she has been brainwashed to think differently.
I particularly love knowing that the men are going to F everything up and cataloging all the errors they must atone for if they ever want to win the girl. The layers upon layers of lies the men told Elvana to reach their goal. Their misplaced assumptions about her worth and position in her father’s eyes. Countless betrayals with an ultimate betrayal that closes the book with a killer of a cliffhanger.
It is slower burn than many omegaverses, but the steam picks up toward the end.
Luckily for us, the second book in the duet has already been released, so we do not need to wait to see how the cliffhanger is resolved. Otherwise, that cliffhanger would have been brutal!

I loved this book!! This was a new author to me and I am so glad I checked her box because I was not disappointed! This is an Omegaverse book with some sexy heat scenes and some light MM which I am all for it was so yummy! I love our FMC! The lies and the betrayal in this book are strong but I got where they were coming from and that cliffy hit hard I am fully invested and I definitely need the next book asap!

What a great read! I'm very familiar with the omegaverse but this is one of my first shifter omegaverse novels and I couldn't put it down! It's the kind of book that makes you stay up late to see what happens next! Of course it ends on a cliffhanger but I can't wait to see what's need for for Elvi and the guys!

Holy sh%t, this is an unputdownable Omegaverse!
Wow. Just wow. First off mind the cliffy, it's a doozy, but apparently book 2 is out soon.
Secondly, the lies, the betrayal, the heartbreak, and the manipulation....omfg!! This is almost a dark verse, really skates the line, mind the CWs. I am so confused about how I feel right now. First off, I absolutely adore the FMC Elvi, I love her spunk and fire, I get a little frustrated with her wolf at times who is more submissive than her human side and doesn't always understand the nuances in human relationships, but generally I think she's brilliant. She's naiave, trusting and kind and she's just had her world shattered and many of her memories lost because of an accident.
The guys - I kind of like Rory, but I'm deeply disappointed in him. I'm utterly meh about Cam because frankly aside from healing her - and that wasn't done altruisticly - he's treated her pretty appallingly. Don't even get me started on Link. I don't think my bad words are enough, disgraceful, traitorous, venomous, hateful, spiteful.... Ooooh I could go on. Right now, I can't possibly see how on earth he can be redeemed. He is going to have to beg, and prove himself over and over for the next two books to even be considered for a kiss at this rate..... I'm confused about Kelly. Extremely. But I guess this is the authors intention.... Big mystery. And my favourite, new book boyfriend is Arben. I love him.
Seriously this book has so much going for it - a fantastic storyline filled with mafia vibes suspense, set in a wolf shifter omegaverse, twists and turns, betrayal, lies galore and one he11 of a mystery as well as a seriously spicy heat scene!! Just phenomenal - go read it!!

This book has some taboo aspects without actually dipping into the taboo part. I’d check tw before diving in but if those don’t bother you then you are in for a incredible read and one I don’t think will disappoint. I’m so excited for the second novel to come out for y’all to read. The drama, the suspense, the romance, the spice.
Wow when I started this book I didn’t realize how it would make me feel. This book goes through a lot and does end on a cliffhanger that left me screaming. The mind play and twisted games that go on in this book are insane. I was hooked from the first to last sentence. I am going back for that second book. Link makes me want to rage. What he did to her omg what a b. The author knew she was going to step on everyone when she wrote this and no survivors were left. This book has so much depth and makes you feel so many emotions. The author did an incredible job with this book and I am so excited to share this with my book groups! The spice in this novel may have taken a minute to show up but when it did IT DELIVERED! Baby the leg guard wrapped around his and then he got it taken off with a mouth. I almost passed out. The spice was a 20/10 for that one scene alone I am totally okay with how little spice was in the book. I am happy to say this book is a top read of 2022 for me. This deserves to be on the top seller list.

Elvi is so much more than a high society mafia omega. She's such a bad*ss. The trauma with this one is strong but she's a survivor. The sexual chemistry between characters is fire, not to mention the MM action that happens during Elvi's heat. It just left me in a puddle of desire. Whew! still fanning myself. Of all the characters to dislike, Linc is the top of the list so far. He's loyal to his pack but will endanger the one person they love without a second thought. I'm really hoping Elvi gets the ultimate revenge on him. The storyline is well written with plot twists that keep you guessing, and plenty of drama and romance to last a lifetime. I can't wait to see what happens next with the group dynamic once she's reunited with her guys.

WOW, just wow so many feels from an amazing book. I think Roxy has become one of my new favorite authors to read. I love her twists 😉 on omegaverse, which can be hard to do! I also was not expecting to be shoved off the cliff of a hanger! SHEESH.
Elvana is not your typical Omega, she has a strong, with her head and heart being the forefront. I do like that all 3 alphas have their own journey with the FMC, it's important that even if they're all to become hers, to have their own individual relationships.
I want the best for this omega because she deserves it. There are so many twists, turns, and characters that make worlds collide between them all. The worldbuilding, characters, and plot will draw you in and you'll stay for her heat 😉. Can't wait for the next book!

This book is my introduction into the Omegaverse and I could not have asked for a better first taste! I couldn't put it down!!
The story is very twisted and full of lies, secrets, betrayal, heartbreak and manipulation. I found it was a great decision to write in several POVs because it kept me on my toes trying to figure out what exactly was going on since every character had their own secrets and goals in mind. I really like the FMC Elvi's character. She has to constantly battle with her wolf, who is more submissive than her human side, but given her situation she never forgets that she is a strong woman. I thought my next book boyfriend would be one of the brothers if not all of them (lol), but boy was I wrong. I ended up rooting for someone completely different. Oh and it was such a delicious slow burn to get to the spicy scenes, but the wait is SO worth it!

The story is very twisted and full of lies, secrets, betrayal, heartbreak and manipulation. I found it was a great decision to write in several POVs because it kept me on my toes trying to figure out what exactly was going on since every character had their own secrets and goals in mind. I really like the FMC Elvi's character. She has to constantly battle with her wolf, who is more submissive than her human side, but given her situation she never forgets that she is a strong woman. I thought my next book boyfriend would be one of the brothers if not all of them (lol), but boy was I wrong. I ended up rooting for someone completely different. Oh and it was such a delicious slow burn to get to the spicy scenes, but the wait is SO worth it!

Twisted Lie by Roxy Collins
Elvana goes to see her mother that is dying in a hotel room. Her Father is hiding her and running around with a woman from his pack. When her mother passes Elvana is so upset that she ends up getting hurt. She wants to kill her father. This story is a page-turner. This is a very interesting book with so many twists and turns you can not put it down. I love the way Roxy Collins writes. This is in my top five books of all time. I highly recommend this book. I was given an ARC of this book and am giving an honest review. *Insinuated spoilers.*

Starts quick which I liked. Diving right into the characters, and the shifter verse
-tough female can handle her shit character quickly introduced
And each kf the alphas ready to pounce with hints of further conflict in the packs.
A good quick smooth read.
-multiple character POV from the MMC and FMC which I enjoyed for each perspective
- played up the omega to alpha submission and her not being able to do much but the attitude! Spunkyness and bravery that came to play when FMC needed it kept the character interesting. Ended on cliffhanger so will follow up with review for book 2:)

I picked this book up on a whim - I was almost stuck in a reading rut and wanted something that would catch my interest easily. And this didn't disappoint. It combines some of my favorite tropes - RH, Omega, Shifters.
I have to admit it did make me feel anxious, especially as it felt like nothing ever went right for Elvi - but I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know what happened next and see how the possible mates could turn it around.
I cannot wait for the second novel, especially after that cliffhanger!

This book was OUTSTANDING!! But be warned there is one MASSIVE, world dominating, what the hay am I gonna do until the next book comes out? Cliffhanger.
I was hooked from page 2... Like devastated to put the book down hooked.(shhh... I may have told the kids to figure out their own food, cause I was too busy haha). Seriously guys, if you like omegaverse books, read this one.

A shifter world
Eek this is one of the best omega, shifter, RH duets I’ve ever come across.
It ticks everything you expect and more.
Not only is it written to perfection but the plot is sensational.
And the heat woof it’s hot hot hot.
Lies, betrayals, secrets, game changers and a cliffhanger with questions for sure.
Roxy Collins I’ve never read anything of your before and now I’m wondering where you been hiding as damn girl you know how to get us addicted.
These characters are everything.
Bring on the second part to this incredible duet.

Awesome story
This is the first book I’ve read by this author. She is spectacular. Along the lines of Tate James Nora Ash, Callie Rose. It has an intriguing plot coupled with excellent world building. I loved the characters. Each in their own way. I didn’t read the blurb before I started the book. So I have no idea what’s coming. But this book has had me on the edge of my seat from the very start. I can’t wait to begin the next book.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5

Desperately needing the next book! That cliffhanger hurts but boy was it good. Our omega has really had so many people lie and betray her, it’s heartbreaking. I was on the verge of or actually crying a few times.

I read this book in one sitting. If you like alpha/omega/ beta and there mate stories. This is the book for it. It also has some spicy goodness. It does end on a cliffhanger but the next book is coming out soon!

Recommend!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It’s dark and twisty, and the characters make you want to shake the book to knock some sense into them. But the chemistry is great and the storyline, with the secrets and lies, makes for a very intense read. Can’t wait to dive into the second book!

Great read.
This was a really great read, full of plot and intrigue with a good dose of sexy alphas and lots of tension, of the sexy sort! Excuse me while I go and read the next book right away!
