Team Wolf #3

Guarding Eris

Rate this book
Before his team even heard about the Brotherhood Protectors, Alex “Ridge” Ridgely took a trip to West Yellowstone to revisit the property his grandfather left to him near Yellowstone National Park. That’s where he met Eris Lange and spent a few days with the woman whose memory he couldn’t shake. When they all left the military, ready for a new adventure in life, Alex wasn’t sure what kind of reception he’d get from Eris, but he knew he wanted to be near her. She was already in his heart, and he wanted her to be in his life.

Eris Lange had never really relied on anyone else in her life and people she didn’t know rarely approached her. When Alex Ridgely walked up to her in a bar, she thought he was a little crazy, but after talking to him for a bit, she thought he might be her kind of crazy. Still, a few days later she was happy to see him go. He was already too deep into her heart to have him around. When he shows back up in town, she balks at the idea of working with him, but how long will that last?

As Eris struggles with a new case of poaching on National Park land, Alex is determined to help her - and spend time with her - so she can see that together they’re stronger than when their apart. And before they know it, they have to lean on that strength to save their lives.

Book 3 out of 5. I really enjoyed Ridge (Alex) in book 1 an 2. I also liked him here. Elris (Goddess of Chaos) I adored in the beginning where they first meet. Ridge is still deployed, his enlistment winding down and hes back where he has fond memories of visiting his grandfather when he was growing up. The Edris I met when he comes back...took me aback. As I read on I began to warm to her a little more and about halfway through she had me. Her and Ridge made a great couple and of course steam sizzled off the pages. There were a few laugh out loud moments with Cal and his brother (not our worthy brotherhood brothers) and Reina showed what some tourists do in the parks. Really mankind can be dumb. All in all a great read. I did get lost on one of buyers of the development land, I thought they were accounted for so to speak in book 2. I guess it was left more open ended in book 2 and we will find out more down the line. Thank you for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #brotherhoodprotectorworlds #guardingeris #reinatorres

Guarding Eris: Brotherhood Protectors: Team Wolf, Book 3 is by Reina Torres. This book takes place in Yellowstone National Park.
Alex Ridgley had not intended to go into the Buffalo Bar and Grill when he came to see the spot where his grandfather’s old cabin had been; but there was no other place open this late at night. As he was getting acquainted with the bartender, Ron, he saw a beautiful girl standing at the end of the bar. He started to head her way when Ron suggested he might not want to do that. However, Alex chose not to listen and approached her. Instead of instantly shutting him down, as she evidently was used to doing, she chose to talk to him. He invited her to go with him to Duck Creek the next day and crazily, she accepted.
Alex had found out she was a guard at the nearby prison but preferred to be out in nature. He suggested she change and go over to the rangers instead of staying where she was. He gave her dozens of reasons; but she put up a fence and didn’t listen to him. In fact, she got irritated so he dropped it. He suggested he might return after getting out of the service; but she didn’t believe him. She never thought to see him again.
However, Alex and his team ended up working for the Brotherhood Protectors in Yellowstone and he tried looking her up; but she had moved and no one at her old job would give him any information about her. He was about to see about using Stone’s computer to look her up when she walked into the Lodge where the Brotherhood was housed. She was with a fellow ranger and her boyfriend who was a protector. While Alex was gone, she had changed her job to become a ranger as he had suggested and he was happy, although breaking into a new bunch of colleagues was difficult.
She had started using social media while in the prison to see what was going on in Yellowstone. She found people put pictures and explanations of crimes online for the world to see. When two men started telling about how they were going to shoot gray wolves, she notified the rangers and they were caught in the act and arrested. The prosecutor made fun of where she got the idea to look into these two men and ignored her information. They and their friends began making threats against her and her friend insisted on her contacting the Brotherhood. Stone saw the danger for her and assigned Alex as her protector. Just what she needed, a former lover as a protector.

3. GUARDING ERIS
3 Stars
I received a free copy of the steamy post-military romantic suspense novel Guarding Eris: Brotherhood Protectors Yellowstone World: Team Wolf: Book Three by Reina Torres and this review was given freely.
A drama and action-packed then and now second chance at a love story which is complicated by greed, prejudice, condescension, reduced intellect, and the fear to commit.
Bad timing results in on-leave Army mechanic Alex “Ridge” Ridgley and Yellowstone correctional officer Eris Lange separating without promises but a chance meeting as new coworkers brings them back together only for Alex to almost losing her again to the disgruntled Pruitt brothers.
May be read as a standalone. Best if read in series order. Contains some violence.
4. Guarding Payton
4 Stars
I received a free copy of the steamy post-military romantic suspense novel Guarding Payton: Brotherhood Protectors Yellowstone World: Team Wolf: Book Four by Jen Talty and this review was given freely.
Featuring the worst and best examples of parents, this twisted story validates the security and love found in families by choice despite the greed and abuse of self-centered blood relations. Contains the themes of teen pregnancy and child abuse as well as the continued theme of wolf poaching.
When her grandfather dies, Payton Wheeler leaves the stress of her superficial and business-focused life to regain peace in the beauty of her newly inherited Wheeler Creek Ranch in Montana, only to hire Justice Kane when a series of threats and disgruntled neighbors threaten her life and those she loves.
Can be read as a standalone but is best if read in series order.
5. Guarding Leah
5 Stars
I received a free copy of the steamy post-military romantic suspense novel Guarding Leah: Brotherhood Protectors Yellowstone World: Team Wolf: Book 5 by Regan Black and this review was given freely.
Suspenseful, captivating, and action-packed from the start. Contains a touch of steam, some violence, and a heartwarming ending.
Search and Rescue agent Wade Fielding is sent to find undercover Guardian Agency agent Leah Williams, who went missing in Yellowstone National Park while following a lead on an exotic wolf pet ring.
Can be read as a standalone but is best if read in the series order as all the series couples are mentioned.

WOW!!! This story by Reina Torres, part of Elle James’ Brotherhood Protectors was out of this world fantastic!!
Grabbed me from the first word and took me on an awe inspiring rollercoaster ride I never wanted to get off.
Ridge is a beautiful, larger than life character. Definitely the kind of man we all dream
about. He’s a total alpha male, hard and focused when needed, a man with a strong moral compass. But also a man full of love, affection, a totally addictive soft side that just makes you melt.
Watching him with his brothers-in-arms is heartwarming, not family by blood but without a doubt family built in respect, camaraderie, supporting each other and love.
Eris is a stunning character. I love the way she fights every day in order to succeed in a predominantly male world. Her strength of character is amazing. Her determination is outstanding, working to do the right thing time and time again, regardless of whether it puts her in danger or not. I love the fact that she doesn’t back down against people who think they are to be obeyed just because they’re male. She’s such a strong, determined, honest and caring badass.
This story welcomed you in with a beautiful start. The connection Ridge and Eris when they initially met was utterly beautiful. Their chemistry burning bright enough to light the darkest night’s sky.
Having a front seat to their journey was awe inspiring. These beautiful character became my friends. They walked straight into my heart.
Definitely not to be missed. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Well done Reina Torres. Your talent is never ending. Your words magical.
There aren’t enough stars in the sky to portray just how wonderful this story is.

This is the third book in a new series all about the second team to join the brotherhood protector's Yellowstone series and it is aptly named Team Wolf as most of the stories seem to be based around the protection of the wolves that call Yellowstone national Park and it's surrounds home.

Alex “Ridge” Ridgely is the old man of the team and it is something the team never hesitates to let him know but only as they love him so much What they don't know is that eh had a connection to Yellowstone before the team even arrived there This is where he spent many wonderful childhood holidays with his grandfather and this is where he met the woman who he believes will be his. Eris Lange is deeply attracted to Ridge but she is also a woman who works in mainly male dominated fields and has to be careful always trying to prove herself She is worried that she will judged if she forms a relationship with someone she is working with and Ridge will be helping to protect the wolves that her best friend and she are teamed to protect. But the connection is to strong to ignore and she will need him and his team when she is in danger can she finally realise that it isn't a sign of weakness but indeed strength to take what you want.

Get ready for some action! Ridge is finishing up his stint in the Army and is considering joining the Brotherhood Protectors after his discharge. In the meantime he is on leave and decides to visit the area where he spent time with his grandfather. When she meets Ridge, she is working in Corrections and not that enthused with her job. Her dream job is working as a Park Ranger which she is sure she will never get the opportunity to join. Well, a ranger has retired and she is recommended to replace him. Ridge comes back to West Yellowstone after he gets out and get a cold welcome from Eris. She didn’t think he was coming back. She surfs social media looking for people who post pictures and brag about illegally killing a wolf. She turns that over to the sheriff and subsequently leads to an arrest. She catches two brothers and they aren’t very happy with her interference. Maybe if she disappears and can’t testify against them they will be off the hook. Stupid is as stupid does…. This spurs a manhunt to find them before she is harmed. Action and intrigue.

Inventing Teal Wolf was a Stroke of Genious!
Those Guys... swoonwothy!
The Ladies.... strong, even when in a vulnerable Situation!
The Setting... OMG! Yellowstone National Park!

Each of the 5 Books (by 5 different Authors) in this Series has it's own Hero/Heroine, but the Stories fit together seamlessly. And, the Moment you have finished the last Book, you feel strangely bereft, because you wish you could have stayed with Team Wolf and their Ladies for just a little longer.

"Guarding Eris" by Reina Torres is # 3 of the Series.

This Book is different from the others in the Series. Alex and Eris first meet and hook up, when he's still active Duty, but on Vacation to West Yellowstone where his Grandfather had owned a Parcel of Land.

Fast forward 6 Month, Eris has changed her Job and now works as a Yellowstone Park Ranger.
Alex has moved to West Yellowstone with his Team to become Part of the Brotherhood Protectors.
He's been looking for Eris unsuccessfully for some time, when she is more or less put right in Front of his Nose.
And then, everything really just begins...

10/10 can and will recommend!

Exciting, romantic and suspenseful story. I love that this couple had met months before and really connected, I understood that at that time no info was shared to stay in touch because Alex was still active military at the time. But all bets were off once he came back and found her again. Eris has such passion for the animals and such empathy for their pain, she is really good at the job of ranger, it is what the animals need. I really didnt get Evan's about turn, he went from good guy to questionable in this. Alex despite being a bit older than the other guys is still strong, capable and sexy. There are twists and turns and some violence that is all in context to this plot, I found it gripping and interesting. This series is fascinating with each couples story told by a different author but based around one team of ex military guys and Yellowstone national park, a whole mix of animals and people who really don't respect them. This is the third book and I'm going straight into the next. Passionate and fabulous

This story in the series starts a little differently. Alex/RIdge RIdgely is still in the military when he makes a nostalgic trip to West Yellowstone to visit the property left to him by his grandfather. A place he remembers fondly.
When he enters a bar he’s drawn to a woman sitting alone. One that the bartender warns him about. But somehow he discovers he enjoyed his time with Eris Lange.
Fast forward time and now Ridge is back in West Yellowstone, no longer in the military and a new member of West Yellowstone Brotherhood Protectors. Sadly, Eris , now a ranger dealing with poachers, is not the woman he last met.
When she encounters trouble, Ridge is determined to help her.
While an action packed story , this is more a story about learning to trust , opening one’s heart, and maybe have a chance at love and a new life.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is a wonderful addition to the series. I enjoyed the dual POV format as I like getting to know each of the main characters. It just helps me to connect with them better and to understand how and why they react(ed) in scenes.

Alex comes to Yellowstone prior to leaving the Army. He used to spend time with his grandfather there. He meets Eris in a bar and the two immediately connect. Afterwards Alex returns to the Army for the last few remaining months. When his team decide to join the Brotherhood Protectors in Yellowstone, Alex decides to look Eris up but she no longer lives in the same apartment and has quit her job. Alex doesn't know if she has left the area or still there. At least until a couple of female rangers come to the lodge. Eris decided to follow Alex's advice and join the park rangers when an opening had come up.

This is a sexy read so just a word of caution.

Visiting his inherited cabin, mulling over his next move since he’d decided not to re-enlist. Alex “Ridge” Ridgely looked down the bar and was smitten with prickly detention officer, Eris Lange. Over a long weekend getting to know each other, Ridge suggests Eris might be more satisfied as a park ranger than her current job. Offended Eris ends the weekend early.

Six months later, done with the military, Ridge’s team becomes the Brotherhood Yellowstone team. In his free time Ridge tries to find Eris and is stunned that she’s the park ranger attached to their team. They both regret their ending but Eris insists she can’t a co-worker! While investigating a wolf mutilation, owners of an upcoming resort insert themselves in Eris’ task, she’s soon told to stop her investigation but she’s obsessed and disobeys. Not my favorite, story is light and ending is out of nowhere.

The book grabbed my attention from the first page until the end. Alex “Ridge” Ridgely and Eris Lange are the main characters who enjoyed each other for a night but didn't expect to see each other again. At least that's Erie thought or is it? Months later, what happens when Alex and Eris unexpectedly meet at work and end up having to work together?

There is plenty of action, twists and unpredictable turns, mystery, suspense, intrigue, building trust, loving and, yep, hot romance. The length of the book is just right. I really enjoy this book!

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I would recommend this book to anybody who enjoys Romance Suspense, Military Romance, Western Romance and Fiction books. This book is easy to read, a page-turner, and entertaining! If you want a book that's entertaining and informative, then grab this book.

Loved Guarding Eris by Reina Torres. This romance had everything. Instant attraction that turned into a second chance romance with some good action thrown in. I really love how the story unfolded for Alex and Eris. They started off kinda hot and heavy then they were separated and when they meet up again, it was so great. I loved every minute of this story. I also loved that Eris wasn't just another damsel in distress in need of saving. She was plenty capable and smart but she did land herself in some danger but with Alex and his team both Alex and Eris were able to save each other. That isn't a spoiler. Because you all knew this would end in an HEA so everything had to work out in the end, right?

Eris Lange hasn’t had it easy. Work at the detention center wasn’t always fun and being in a profession where they looked down on women didn’t help.

Alex “Ridge” Ridgely had some time to kill and decided to visit West Yellowstone and get nostalgic on memories of his childhood spend with his grandfather. Meeting the beautiful Eris in the bar was not part of the plan but after their short time together Alex can’t forget the lovely women.

Alex and his team returns to West Yellowstone after separating from the military and he looks for Eris not knowing that she has left her job at the detention centre.

Will Eris and Alex find their way back to one another? What is going on at Eris’s new job and who is behind everything?

Great read!

Another wonderful book in the series featuring alpha males and the women they are drawn to. In this instance, Eris was as alpha as Alex was--great to see.

After a brief relationship of sorts, Eris knows Alex is going to go back to the military and never expects to see him again. However, one day she walks into a meeting for her new job as a park ranger and there he is. Both of them are surprised, but her reaction isn't as positive as his. She has reservations about starting something up again. Can he break through the barriers she put up?

This book is hot, romantic and also incorporates some action and danger. It's a fun, fast paced read!

I was gifted a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Eris is a detention center officer and later a Forest Ranger.
Alex is former military now works West Yellowstone Brotherhood Protectors.

Eric’s is a wonderful intriguing character among a well dominated male field.
Ridge is a little older than his teammates, they tend to tease him, but he takes it in stride.

Eris meets Alex when he returns to see what happened to his grandfather’s property.
They went their separate ways only to meet again Three years later
and are on a case together. He is back an his first assignment is to guard
and protect Eris.

This story grabs you from the beginning it has suspense, romance, intrigue, drama, emotions and a second chance at love.

Great Job Reina Torres !!!

The third in the Team Wolf series gives us a closer look at the old man of the team, Ridge. In fact, it opens with him meeting Eris, but not in the context of the team or the wolves, and their time together inspires her to move to becoming a ranger when there’s a job opening there. Fast forward a short while, and Ridge is in Yellowstone as part of the Brotherhood Protectors and is assigned to guard Eris as she investigates and pursues wolf poachers though, amongst other things, social media – an approach that doesn’t win her friends with the poachers or some of the law enforcement officials. Their instant bond, and its rekindling, are handled with Reina Torres’s usual skill, and this is another unputdownable addition to this world.

The 3rd book in this series within a world that I love. Ridge is the more mature of this Wolf Group, doesn't stop him finding his perfect match though. He found Eris before he shipped out and returned to find she'd moved. Now that he's part of the Brotherlood, who should step into his life but Ranger Eris, she's changed locations and careers and fate has brought them back together. She's quite guarded working in a man's world, having to prove herself she feels they cannot cross the line, but the heart wants what the heart wants. There is danger once again and Eris finds herself at the mercy of evil...actually more drunk and dumb but still dangerous. Ridge calls in the troops, can they find her in time?
Great story, I can't put these down.

Alex and Eris meet by chance at a local bar and have one steamy night together and then they go their separate ways. Alex was still in the military at the time but now that he's out he's back looking for Eris the one woman he can't seem to forget. Eris and Alex are a great couple and they are so perfect for each other. From the way they met and fall for each other to all of the interesting and believable characters this is a great addition to the Brotherhood Protectors World: Team Wolf series. The writing is well done and the story is packed with mystery, danger, suspense, steam, and a great storyline. Guarding Eris is book three in the series and I look forward to reading all of the books in this series.

This starts out differently than the rest in the series, which makes it stand out in a good way. Alex, aka Ridge, meets Eris when he is still in the military and have a one night stand. When he retires and finds himself in town, he was intrigued enough by her intelligence and strength and tries to find her again. She is now a West Yellowstone Park Ranger and catches two brothers poaching. They don't take this well and the action, suspense and mystery start. Alex gets help from the protectors as well as Lone Wolf owner and helicopter pilot Santi to save the day and get the girl. I received an advanced copy but the opinions are my own.

Guarding Eris
(Yellowstone Brotherhood Protectors -Team Wolf Book 3)
Reina Torres
Once again the Yellowstone Brotherhood Protectors go into action to protect. Alex has met Eris and finds out she could use some help in finding who killed one of the wolves in the park. As she looks for this person she is hassled by some others that she had arrested. Alex is determined to protect her. Thrown together in this pursuit brings out feelings for each other. When Eris is kidnapped, Alex wonders if they will have a chance of a happy ever after. Strong minded and determined to do what is right, Alex and Eris are perfect for each other. Another great addition to the Team Wolf series.

Alex went back to West Yellowstone to see his grandfather's property when he meets Eris. He spends a few days with her before heading back for duty. When he takes a job with the Brotherhood Protectors Yellowstone, he can't wait to see Eris again, but he doesn't get the reception he thought he would. Eris is now a ranger with the National Park and trying to solve a poaching case. Alex is going to help her whether she likes it or not. Can they get back to what they had before? Can Eris learn to trust? There's plenty of drama, danger, and romance

Great read! It kept me engrossed til the end. The chemistry between the Hero and Heroine was HOT.
I loved that Eris was strong and independent. She was passionate about her job protecting the wildlife.
Alex aka Ridge is a strong military hero but he's not intimidated by Eris' independence.
Eris comes across some evil people and they want to stop her from exposing them.
Will Ridge and Eris be able to save each other before it's too late?
Highly Recommend! Can't wait for the next book from Reina Torres.

This book was absolutely fantastic and we finally get Alex "Ridge" Ridgely story. He is the oldest in his Army group . On down time he meets Eris Lange and they shared time together, but never thought they'd see each other again. Now Alex is back and working with The Brotherhood Protectors Yellowstone Division and he is surprised to find out she took his advice, but can they ever find they're way back together or is he to old and set in his way? Eris loves her new job but will it cost her life or will Alex find her in time? Great story.

Reconnecting!

Guarding Eris: WOW! Fantastic Story and writing! Loved the continuation of the series. Great characters and the animals. I liked the connection that Ridge and Eris had. Ridge might have been the oldest of the team but he still got a long with all of them and when he had come back.serial months ago to visit his Grandfather's land he knew what he was missing and was happy that his team was pick to run the West Yellowstone Brotherhood team. I really enjoyed the story!

Missing plot point

I really enjoyed this book, but there were a few things that took away from it. There were some editing issues, but the main thing was the fact she was supposed to meet someone from the prosecutor's office in the park, after receiving a strange call from the office. It made it seem like it might be a set up because they never gave a name. I would have thought it was the brothers except it happened before they decided to kidnap her, plus she would have recognized their voices. It never said whether she met the person or not.

More romance than mystery/action

This book is OK. The Ridge in this book seemed like a different person than the Ridge in the Guarding Harper book. I was very confused about who Chelsea and Bubba were until I figured out they are from the other set of Yellowstone books. There’s very little action until the end and we never get an explanation for Evan’s change or the strange call from the prosecutor’s office. Also, not sure why Santi was written as so morose when he didn’t seem that bad in other books. All in all this book doesn’t “fit” well with the first two.

Reading how Eris and Alex met and then finding each other again after a period of time was just amazing. They came together trying to save the wolves, trying to get a handle on the poachers and working so well together as a team. If I have a critique about this book, it will be about characters brought in but then it feels like their storylines weren’t completed…I can’t help but wonder was that it or will there be more stories with these characters coming to a head?

Alex (Ridge) comes back to the land in Yellowstone that his grandfather gave him and it’s where he met Eris. After spending time with her, he could never forget her. After leaving the army he came back to Yellowstone to work with the Brother Protectors and when Eris is struggling with a case of poachers after the wolves and Alex decides he is going to help her, will she let him? Grab the book, it’s a great read.

This is a great story. Some emotional twists and action. RIdge and Eris met when he visited West Yellowstone to see the property his grandfather left him. They had a steamy affair and went their separate ways. Now the two have found each other again. Can he convince her to give them a chance as he helps her with her job protecting Yellowstone from poachers and ranchers? I read an arc of this book and this is my review.
