Jethro Avery wanted to live in the silence. The end of the world had come and gone, led to destruction by a maniacal dictator, Rulon Calum, who believed he was a messiah recreating Noah’s Ark. Now in this post-societal world which has been ravaged by a weather controlling malfunctioning machine, people are grouped into tribes based on their old-world occupation. Jethro thought by living in recluse with the only person he trusts, Blaec Benedict, that he would never have to choose between good and evil. But when a fiery red-headed woman invades his mundane reality, he is thrown into chaos, suddenly becoming one of the most important pieces in the future of mankind. Jethro’s complacency will get him killed in this new world, so he is going to have to make a decision. Does he want to live or does he want to die?
