At His Feet In Confession: Discovering a New Way of Loving God
The first step in the journey of repentance is often the most difficult to take. The journey itself can at times be confusing, burdensome and even painful. With it comes a host of "Does God hear my repentance? Am I doing it right? How do I confess properly?" And more!
The purpose of this book is to simply shed a little bit of light on some of the answers to these questions. Found within this book are a number of stories, illustrations and references to spiritual giants - all of which are included to help guide the reader to the feet of Christ in confession!
The second part of the books is a hidden gem of St Ephraim the Syrian's homily on the sinner woman, "For She Loved Much." This is a beautiful retelling of the story of the adulteress, highlighting the path she would have endured on her journey to the feet of Christ.

This is a good little book.
There are many nuggets of wisdom in this book that I will be going back to.
The homily at the end was beautiful but it did take a lot of liberty with the interpretation of the story.
Although I finished this in one sitting, I would actually suggest breaking it up into sessions, and perhaps reading it before going to confession.

Not bad! Probably more helpful for someone new to the idea of private confession.

A lovely book that delves deep into repentance and confession. It’s not as scary as people may think, it’s actually quite comforting.
