Something Psychotic this way comes.

Pepper O’Malley
Jill of all trades, hedonist, and dark witch.

Adrenaline tastes better with a little blood and sweat. At least, that is what I tell myself after an undercover job goes awry and I get fired by my friend. He’s lucky I love him and see right through his command to keep me safe.
Nowhere else to go and in need of cash. I finally head home, where my childhood best friends left me the keys to the bar. They hoped one day I’d open the corner pub back up and make it my own.

Keys in hand, I open the bar with a little magical help and end up knee-deep in immortal drama. That fine print will get you every single time. Turns out they didn’t just leave me their bar but their mantle of peacekeeper for the city of Philadelphia. Now I’m slinging cocktails and giving that coveted bartender advice. It’s an unsuspected gig, but it feels right.

Until dead bodies start turning up, terror frozen on their faces, and their bodies nothing but dried-up husks.

Everything I’ve learned is about to get put to the test, and when a few strays stumble my way, saying they want to help, I know better than to accept. Only I’m out of my league and very mortal. For now, I need to accept their help.

The stakes have never been higher.

Psychotic is Book 1 in a 5 Book seriesfull of magic, chaos and one witch who refuses to choose between all the demons vying for her attention. MMFMM

Elle Lincoln has been writing out her dreams and even nightmares for over a decade. She believes in magic in all forms, and oftentimes you’ll find her daydreaming in the oddest of places. Her passion is Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance, where the men are a little bit real and a dash of mythical.

When Elle isn’t writing she’s probably chasing around her four children, child-like husband, and a rambunctious Australian Shepherd. All who keep her on her toes. Nice try with the distractions, but mommy still got those books written and published. She resides in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania with lore and legends, and a whole lot of cornfields.

I really liked Pepper in the beginning, but there's nothing I hate more than being sold a smart, strong, badass fmc who ends up being the exact opposite.

You'll like this book if you enjoy betraying body syndrome and fmcs with no self-respect.

1 Star - DNF

I DNF’d this book at like 50%.

I didn’t like the way that the relationships were going. I didn’t like any of the MMC’s. I didn’t like how the men treated FMC. They were patronizing, condescending, and treated her like she was inept and/or stupid.

My fate is to love what I can’t have.

This was a great book, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I loved meeting Pepper – The whole Fated Universe can be read as groups of standalone series but is best experienced in order. I jumped right into Pepper’s story. I do not feel like I missed out, though hints of past events mentioned in the book make me want to start at the beginning so I can read each of the cousins’ stories in order. Elle Lincoln has built a highly complex and integrated world that needs to be explored.

Pepper is a great FMC. She is rejected by her fated mates, and rather than wallow in agony, she makes a potion that will prevent her from ever feeling love again. How kick @ss is that? She also hides her powers from her mates, as they told her that they could stay if she only had magic. Who wants to be an if? To top this all off, she is a self-trained dark witch who now must take on the mantle of peacekeeper for the city of Philadelphia. When she isn’t running her dad’s old motorcycle repair shop, her s3x toy store, or s3x call line…

It is a slow-burn romance with a slow-build harem. There are obvious contenders for spots in her harem, but no one is set. Too many of the men in her life have disappointed her, and many amends must be made to win her. Plus, there’s the whole anti-love potion thing. That makes things a bit difficult. The angst it all brings, though, is so good.

The end of Psychotic left us on a cliffhanger—a good one. I look forward to the next book’s release. This is a story I need to see to the end!

I am sorry but DNF at 36%. I had so much hope for this book, but from the beginning I didn't understand what was happening.
1. I didn't know it was a part of bigger series. But right from the start i was lost. Characters were introduced briefly and as if I should have already know them.
2. I couldn't get over writing style. It was so chaotic. No one explained anything so I was very confused reading it.
3. FMC supposedly took an anti love potion but I still had the impression that she was into everyone.
4. I just didn't like or felt anything positive towards male characters.

i’ve said this time and time again - Elle Lincoln is my absolute favorite author. anytime i even consider questioning that award, i read one of her books and am like “yup Elle 4 lyf”.

This book, series, universe - I am *obsessed* with it all. We met Pepper back in Sabina’s series, Fated Souls. she was a side character but part of their little wolf pack (Sabina, Nessa, Pepper, and Ash - in order of series). Pepper that funny cousin that you love but they’re also crazy, but in the best way possible. like, that aunt that gives you too much tequila in your margarita when you’re only 19. that’s Pepper to her wolf pack.

Psychotic is book one of five in her series. She was denied by her fated mates before they left her to go back to their homeland. but she’s badass enough to survive the heartbreak with the help of the amazons, her personal badass tinker bell pixie, and poison lipstick. Shes learning what type of immortal being she is, but the challenge comes with her needing to survive until she, is said, immortal. and for a girl who loves to dive headfirst into danger, this is going to challenging and a wild ride.

I love Pepper! like, so much. she’s a “shoot and kill first and then find out who they are later” kinda gal. and after book 1 I already know i’m going to love her harem. I was obsessed with Jasper after her Novella (Peppers Poison) and yes, he’s ✨psychotic✨ and questionable, but so are the best mmc’s. and there is one harem member that if you’re an elle big-fan like me you’re going to be really excited about because i didn’t see it coming but i’ve wanted this!

(although it is not needed, you can read the Fated Souls (Sabina) and Fated Sight (Nessa) series before the Chaos Magic series. There may be some spoilers for those series in Chaos Magic)

I have waited for Pepper's story since her appearance in Fated Souls series. Pepper is a witch trained by Amazon. Her companion is a fierce pixie named Dede. Her fated mates left her in an earlier series so she has done what she had to not to hurt. Even though the twins didn't know she was a witch and still look out for her from Irland. Nik a cop has kept them informed. We meet a demon name Jasper who is keeping PA safe. We also get more on van our demon armory keeper. The girls pop in to celebrate peppers birthday. There is an unknown evil that scares even the strongest of paranormal's. What is their role in this terror drug is killing paranormal's? Can pepper, Dede, van, Nick, Jasper figure it out? What are the twins gonna do when they find out about Pepper being a witch? What is the bars role in the paranormal world that the twins never told her about? So many questions so few pages !

Psychotic by Elle Lincoln is the first in the Chaos Magic Series. If you've read Ms. Lincoln's Fated Souls Series then you've already met Pepper. I enjoyed Pepper and found that she is one strong FMC. Her fated mates rejected her. So she has to overcome all that. And she does it in a way that doesn't destroy herself. She has given herself a potion (won't spoil) and it will make finding love again hard. But she is smart, strong. I really loved her friend, Dede. Shes great. There is a cliff hanger at the end. Super slow burn RH. Looking forward to the next one!

I been so excited for Pepper book since we meet her. And oh man this book did not disappoint. Pepper journey is not easy and there are things that will make you question everything. This book has a few twist that leave you wanting answers. Answers to questions you didn't think of. This does leave off on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to find out what happens next.

So glad we finally have Peppers story! Its crazy to realize that all of our adventures thus far have happened in the span of 2 years. It seems so much longer and yet the timeline makes total sense. So much has happened to these ladies in that time. But then again this book takes places over the course of 1 week and so much happens. New friends are made, old friends are discovered, a new enemy is introduced, and old idiots might get redemption but then again it's too early to tell. Cant wait for more in Peppers story.

I honestly kind of checked out after MC agreed to something without having any idea what it was from someone who tricked her, tied her to a chair, injected her with a truth serum, and then left… WTF…

And then at the end of the book, they disappear for a few days and she just acts like they’re a straight-up couple like some crazy shit didn’t just happen between them! I can't. I refuse to keep reading the rest of the series.

This is a solid 3.5 read for me. Elle Lincoln brings the well written angst and action with a heavy dose of mystery thrown in she's known for in her books. Psychotic is no different and just as well written. What I really have trouble with and I think will continue to have trouble with is Pepper's missing spine when it comes to Jasper. He kidnaps her, ties her to a chair in a warehouse, injures her, forces her to watch him murder someone and she says she will never forgive him for it. Then she falls into bed with him. Huh? Make it make sense please. She exacts no revenge, demands no groveling and lets him take complete control. This is NOT the bada*s Pepper we as readers deserve, this is a confused mess who seems to depend on the men around her to save the day. I hope she develops a backbone in the next book or I won't be continuing with the series. The writing and action is what saves this book; give it a chance for that alone and you won't be disappointed.

MC

I do not like when the MC is so sex crazed that she forgives heinous things done to her. This was not a cute book but an example of why men treat women badly and expect to get away with it.

And another one

When come across a book by Elle Lincoln you can guarantee that its going to be a spectacular read. This is part of the Fated Universe so if this is the first one you've read of hers. There are 3 other MC to enjoy with their own stories to enjoy

Piper is one of those characters that always sticks out in these connected series. From her crazy antics of thriving on chaos to her abnormal yet impressive magic capabilities, she is a girl who absolutely deserves her own story, so I'm glad Lincoln finally got to a point where it could be told. She has been through so much already just in the glimpses we have gotten of her in the other books and I have been wondering how well she has actually been coping after the rejection of her mates. She's such a strong character, pushing herself to different limits and coming up with ways to ease the pain of her heartache. She certainly has some pretty direct ways to go about it, but it's interesting to see the lengths she will go to avoid love, only to have it follow her around. Love interests are popping up everywhere. One way or another, whether she likes it or not, her walls will eventually fall and she'll open herself up to love again. It's just going to take her a lot to be able to get to that point. Having your heart broken even once makes it difficult to want to be susceptible to those types of feelings again.

I loved the mystery and secrecy of this book, both regarding Piper's dark witch powers that seem to have no certain focus and the situation regarding the terror drugs being distributed throughout the city. With this book it always felt that we were on track as new information was revealed only to have everything thrown in our face to show that we weren't even close to the real issue. The tip of the iceberg is all we have seen, but there is so much more to this whole insane overtake of power in the city. The unknown enemy has always been so many steps ahead that you can tell this plotting has been going on for a very long time and he is extremely powerful to be able to make it all happen. It's going to take Piper some major training in her powers to be able to prepare herself for what is to come and she already has a lot on her plate with the bar and the responsibility of being the new peacekeeper of the city. It's lucky that she has attracted a few powerful men to help her along the way, even if she doesn't always want them around.

I'm very excited to see how Piper's story continues in the next book. The ending of this book was intense and I can't wait to see how Piper comes out of this situation. I hope she truly learns to embrace her chaotic powers and the possibility of love as well…but after an unimaginable amount of groveling. That's a must.

Chaotic

What a book. It was interesting from the start. I’m really not a fan of forgiving royal jerks that are supposed to be fated mates when they reject the fmc. Also, I would have made Jasper grovel for pulling that that kind of crap on her. I love her personality, her whole being is someone that survived something truly devastating. The story hinted at the twins coming back and of course at the worst possible moment they show up. Ugh. Men. They never learn. All females and males deserve to be someone’s first choice. I hope she’s ok after that ending. Can’t wait for the next one.

I really enjoyed the first book in the series. I've been curious about Pepper and the things she been going through. I live how her mates have started piling up even though she made the potion. The cliffhanger is on point. The only complaint i have is i wish it had more information on her time with the Amazons. If you don't know this is the third series in this world. It basically follows a group of sisters not by blood. Past characters pop up and is great to see them in the new books.
I received an ARC and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This family 😍😍😍

I loved it all! Pepper has always been my favorite and I couldn't wait until these books came out. I can't wait for the next one. Its going to drive me crazy making me wait so please don't take to long lol. My hope in the next one that pepper gives the twins a hard time but doesn't take to long to forgive them. I cannot wait to see all the love between all of her men including the twins. Thank you so much Elle Lincoln. I absolutely enjoy all these books so much. 😍☺️

What potion?

I liked this book. I will admit I read them out of order, as this is the first I've read from this author. The only thing I didn't get so much? The potion, which is supposed to be a huge part of the plot, doesn't really seem to do anything. She still gets all broken up, still pines for all the males, still "stays true" to all of them. Not that I have a problem with that, but the potion seemed redundant. If she is still going to have all the angst, why introduce the potion? Maybe it will make sense later on. Still loved the book

An okay read

Not a bad read but it slowed down towards the end before the cliff hanger. Problem is I was getting bored with the shenanigans so when I got to the end I was like mehhhh about book 2. Our heroine is called Pepper so the use of the word "spicy" for all sorts of things was funny at the start but half way through it got annoying.

I feel to truly appreciate this book and get to know Pepper better it would have been better to read the stories about her cousin's first. Now question is will I....

Interesting but sporadic

This book is all over the place. It's got a lot of interesting things thrown in but too many points of view to keep me interested. I'm honestly disappointed I liked the characters but I'm not a fan of multiple points of view my limit is three pov and it is especially irritating that a new character and pov is introduced halfway through the book.

Pepper!

I have loved Pepper throughout the other books of this series, I’m so happy to read about her turn for a HEA!

Pepper is a chaotic lovable mess who has had some crappy cards handed to her. Not gonna lie, I’m not happy with her guys in this book, but I know Elle will make me fall in love with them.

What a wild ride

I couldn't put it down. Be sure to read the short prequel it helps knowing the back story. I'm so glad the shadow demon is back and Nikko is still part of her life. The darkness is a unique twist and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

We finally are getting Pepper's story and I does not disappoint! There is no denying that she has a rough story thus far. There is alot that happens in this first book. It is accompanied with angst, family, love, and so much more. I very much look forward to reading this continuance of her story.

Great storyline, fast pace, likable characters

Not my usual read but I was looking for something different. The author creates likable characters with great dialogue and wit. The story is fast paced and creative, although I hate cliff hangers! Gotta go buy Book 2!
