Now that they’ve moved into Norsewood Lodge, the only luxurious, modern buildings complex in this medieval-like, fantastical world that is Eseron, Quinn, her hunky husband Aldric, and the citizens are getting used to and loving their new living environment and lifestyle. Some go so far as to worship the very ground the lodge is on.
While Quinn is off her feet assisting in rebuilding Norsewood and educating the people, with the aid of her sassy skill Vicky, a new discovery of deities and blessings comes into light, turning what has been passed down for centuries on its head.
Mixed in with the excitement, Quinn is second-guessing where her relationship with Aldric stands. Their marriage is an arranged one, after all, and her fear of his indifferent feelings toward her grows as Aldric acts intimate one minute and distant the next.
When Aldric’s brother Juan appears, along with news of hundreds of civilians being taken captive and enslaved in a mining dungeon, Quinn puts her relationship problems aside and embarks with Aldric and the Norsewood warriors on a rescue mission, one that unearths not only a dark, sinister plot to destroy Norsewood, but a behemoth beast of a dragon, too, one Aldric has a score to settle with.
My Lord Saves the Citizens is the second book in Apparently, I’m the Infamous Earl’s Legendary Bride Series . It is a romantic fantasy series featuring a vivacious heroine with a determination to change and improve the lives of civilians in a medieval-like, war-torn world with the use of her modern knowledge and her magic and a hunky hero hell-bent on protecting his land and people and claiming his wife’s love.
This series contains romance, magic, kingdom building, and food and cooking. Oh, and enough steam to fog up the other world’s medieval-era glass window in later books as the story progresses.
A kingdom-building fantasy series involves the protagonist/s working on building and managing their own village, town, city, nation, or even empire and gathering citizens and subordinates.
Apparently, I’m the Infamous Earl’s Legendary Bride series is published in novel-length (80-100K words) serialized books format and needs to be read in order. Each book has its own little arc.
Apparently, I'm the Infamous Earl's Legendary Bride Books 1: A Girl in Another World 2: My Lord Saves the Citizens 3: My Lady Builds a Village
Obviously is fiction and fantasy so you know it's not believable but it's so cute and fun to imagine. Although I think Hayden and hunters parents should do a pizza restaurant as who doesn't love pizza. But I loved this book. Can't wait for the next one.
Gosh, after reading the first book I was way to excited to read this next installment and it was great!
I love reading more about the characters and the kingdom building and the food! I also precise the lengths of the books, it's great to really escape into this world for s longer time.
My head was blown by author Alexia Praks as always. It makes sense why Aldric was acting odd. I'm eager to learn more about Quinn's abilities. I am really excited for the series' upcoming book.
It’s the same as the first book. There’s no relationship building in this. The romance and bonding between the fml and the husband is nonexistent. The husbands kids just started to call her mom when she haven’t even been with them so much.
Aaand the modern things in an world that is very medieval is so wrong and overwhelming, even for the reader. She pushes and shoves penthouses, aircraft’s and other modern technology into the people who’s never seen such things. It’s too much and overwhelming. It makes the book so bad. I mean, 95% of the book is just her creating modern technology and doing magic. Its becomes boring and annoying.😑

Isekai and reincarnation in a novel is the kind of trope that you would find in manga and anime. And fortunately its my favourite!
This is book 2 of the series which continued where we left of with Juan escaping from the dungeon.
Plot wise I love it! I like how the world building is detailed and well described. The romance between Quinn and Aldric is too slow for me but I still like it.
There are a few typos that I have noticed but nothing too major.
I read the first book last night and immediately bought the second one. I am so glad I did even though no housework was done this day. The twists and turns continue and we meet new people I want to get to know. Third book out next year and I can't wait to see what happens next.
This bears a lot of resemblance to AJ Sherwood's "A Fae Coin Transported Me Into Another World and Now I'm the Gay Holy Maiden" (only without the 'gay' part). This is lots of uncomplicated fun and mayhem with world-changing world-building. I am enjoying watching how Aldric is making himself worthy of his unexpected competent and compassionate bride ...
I fully enjoyed following Quinn and watching as the plot developed further. I liked getting to know the ever expanding cast of characters and their interpersonal relationships. I am so excited to continue the story and see what happens next!
3 to 3.5 stars, still undecided. Ngl, the plot lost me with the implementation of cars and more technology. I hope the third book doesn’t start modernizing the world. I mean, it’s supposed to still be based in medieval times. At this rate, it’s becoming a little nonsensical.
I ama absolutely in live and obsessed with this series, with the author. So far the journey is hetic, yet fulfilling. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Quinn is at it again in this cute little story about love, honor and duty. But this time Ms Praks shows us what the Lord of the kingdom looks like in his full masculine glory. Aldric knows it’s imperative to make a move to do the rescue mission. Ms. Praks shows her skill instead of world building, in world saving. Well done!
This honest review was given in thanks for an ARC.
I really loved this book, and it was so fun to read that it ended too quickly. In this book we get to know Aldric's family and people better, the children, the people, Uncle Colt (I loved him and his love for food, and playing with children). It's nice to see everyone discovering new powers, new foods and much more. I loved it and can't wait for the sequel
This one was slightly more interesting than the last and slightly better written. There is still a ton of info dumping; so many characters and for what? I don't remember any of them. Everyone is stupid overpowered it's crazy. Nothing is logical in this book. Quinn is kind of stupid but like in an emotional intelligence way. Her understanding of people is atrocious.
Also, the focus on the height is really gross. How many times do you have to tell me she has to get on her tippytoes to kiss him??? I get it. And the whole section with Aldric's inner conflict was just horrible to read, like disturbing. But once again, I was entertained by how bad it is, so I'm gonna keep reading them😗
Quinn is still too powerful for an entertaining book, the amount of characters who do nothing for the story is too big, there are makeup lessons when people are still sick / starving (“Kim, there’s people that are dying”), and it is just too boring and I do not care.
I bet I can DNF this book and start reading book 3, and still understand everything. As there is no plot and too much plot at the same time.
