Now that I know what to expect, this volume was much easier to adapt to. The only thing I was still uncomfortable with was how the MC was basically knowingly running a romance scam. But the 'victim' could accept it afterwards, so that lessened the negative feeling I had about it. I also appreciated that the MC came clean to the heroine about her scheme, so that was a positive for her character.
Other than that, I still don't mind how dense the MC was, and the best part of the whole book, was when the MC told everyone what sort of person would be her ideal partner.
I also liked that the heroine turned out to be simply a socially awkward person, but one who's aware of her own limitations. I'm not sure about her transitions to a romantic interest, but then again none of the male characters would make a good love interest to match the MC either, so...
If you're thinking about reading the series but unsure about how long it will go for, this volume is a good place to stop. The heroine appeared, and the story ended with the MC reaching her goal of survival.
I grew to like this enough I decided to buy the next available volume. Also, that bear? I didn't see that joke coming when I read the first volume...

The love interest finally arrives at the Academy. Elizabeth finally gets to set her plans into motion. As any good protagonist in a comedy like this, she has no idea how her own actions have completely upped the story of the game and things don't exactly go as planned. What follows is an entertaining story, a tad predictable with uncomplicated characters in a vaguely developed world, but funny enough if the humor clicks with the reader (which it does for me). The twist given to Lilia, the love interest (protagonist of the game), does add to the story. All in all, a good read as long as you are not expecting anything deep and the humor is for you.
This was more fun than previous volume. It still should not be taken seriously.
Everyone's in love with her. That's not even a spoiler at this point. Something tells me that achieving her goal will not be as much of a boon as she thought. Looking forward to next volume.
