Will this steely dragon warrior choose duty over love?

Ella is overwhelmed with a joy that melts her heart from the moment she meets her tiny new alien son. But she doesn’t expect her pulse to race every time the baby’s muscle-bound dragon warrior guard comes close.

Jhon was taken from his family at a young age to become a member of the elite Invicta dragon force. Since that time, he has lived with one purpose, putting his duty to his brothers-in-arms before anything. And now he’s out on the tundra, contending with strange predators, mammoths, and islands that float in the sky. The last thing he has time for is love.

But the feelings Bo’s adoptive mother awakens in his dragon threaten to topple his duty, his self-control, and the very foundation of his sanity. How can such a scrawny little Terran cause so much trouble? And how is it that in spite of his unwanted lust and her bullheadedness, he still feels a begrudging respect for her determination to be a good mother to baby Bo, and somehow still provide for her siblings back home?

When lives are at stake, will Jhon choose his orders over love? Or will the big dragon learn that sacrificing for the ones he loves was his real duty all along?

If you like strong women, sexy aliens, wild adventures, steamy sensual scenes, and happily-ever-afters, then you’ll love the world of the Alien Adoption Agency!

Jhon by Tasha Black pub date 9/5/23 5 stars
Jhon & Ella

She'd do anything for her family, especially her little sister more like a daughter. This would help keep food on the table for her family. Half of what she's paid she'll send home for her family. She traveled with two other women becoming the adoptive mothers to special alien babies.

Jhon wondered how the prissy little rich woman would deal with farming on the tundra. His job was to guard the little baby and the woman whose care he must turn the baby over to. He tried to tell himself it didn't matter. He wasn't bonded to the little one. How long would he be able to hang on to the lie?

They each have lots to learn about the other. Will their preconceptions be true? Will the surprise he discovers about her be more than he and his dragon can handle?

Besides the two and the baby, there are wonderful neighbors who make them feel welcome and show them how life farming in the freezing farms can be successful. Great characters, emotions that surprise them, and so much more.

The next books in the series, led by Jhon, will keep you reading as all of the previous stories in the series.

There aren't any books that Tasha Black has written that I haven't liked. This one is no exception.

The story line moved me to tears in several places, but it's always good to be reminded that sometimes sacrifices have to be made and that love will find a way.

Ella was very brave to move to a new planet, not knowing anyone, so she could adopt a baby and send money back to her family. She fell in love with baby Bo immediately.

Jhon's dragon recognized Ella as his mate as soon as he met her but Jhon thought he was mistaken.

They arrive at their "homestead" and it's not what Ella was expecting, but she was no stranger to hard work. She started developing feelings for Jhon, but he was trying to "do the right thing" and he left, saying he would have a new Invicta warrior sent to guard Bo and look after Ella.

When Ella is in danger, the dragon senses it right away and Jhon realizes that he left the woman he loved and let his dragon come out to save her. In the end, they both realize that they love each other and decide to stay together and be each other's family.

A happy ending ensues with a surprise at the end. But you'll have to read the book to find out what that is. I truly enjoyed this book and am eager to read about Rafe and Jade!

Another great story by Tasha Black. If you haven't read it yet, pick it up...you won't be disappointed!

This series is so fun, and each girl in the different books has her own reason for leaving her home, her family, her previous life if you will to start an adventure by adopting an alien baby. Ella has done it to save her family, her mom and dad and many children are starving on their home planet. Like most Terran, that would be us earth people, we are on the low part of beings in the solar system. Like at the very bottom. Jhon is a warrior, one of the few in his species that can actually turn into a dragon. From a past mistake that his people has made he is now charged with looking after a baby from a race that his kind destroyed. Not a job he was happy to take being a warrior, especially taking up 20 years of his life. But now he has met Ella and he knows she is his mate, but it can’t be. At first, he does not want to except it, and it hurts both of them. This story is really good, about how they and make a family. And what Jhon does at the end is so sweet. I love a good happily ever after.

Jhon is the thirteenth book the Alien Adoption Agency series by Tasha Black.
The characters are amazing the story is original. Ella is adopting baby Bo and Jhon is his Invicta dragon warrior guard. Ella comes from a resource poor plant and her family is always hungry. Ella's duty is to her new son but half of her money is going to her family so they don't starve. Jhon gets the wrong impression of Ella and believes she's a spoiled woman from a rich family. Little does he know the number of times she and her family went to bead hungry. Jhon is unable to complete his duty as Bo's guard because he is drawn to Ella and believes her to be his true mate. He has decided the best thing for him to do is leave and be replaced by another guard who won't be distracted by Bo's new mother. When trouble strikes Jhon discovers how much he is drawn to Ella as he rushes in to protect her from harm. I love this book, it's an amazing story of perseverance in the worst conditions.

Great

OMG!!! This is a fantastic series all of the stories will bring a smile to your face. The characters are awesome and their chemistry burns up the pages. The stories are full of emotions with some feisty heroine and their handsome partners. I can tell you that you will enjoy every book in the series, I really enjoy this author she tells a great story It's what she always does, what can i say bout these stories: but they are exceptional, funny and truly, heartbreakingly powerful!!! Each story in the series requires its own commentary that I would be writing a book myself these men do not play when it comes around to the love of their lives! They are the true example of partners, the love and the love for their families; especially their women! What a beautiful parents I really enjoy how they all are heroes (all the brothers)and they are a part of this amazing story!!! WOW I really enjoy reading this author and she did it again!

I’m starting to hope all this babies got adopted at the same time or these have to be the worst guardians in the history of guardians. This adopting agency has not informed the women about the situation at all. Not about the nature of the babies or what to expect. The invicta commanders also have not bother to follow up on how all their warriors somehow end up mated to the babies mothers you will think by now that was common knowledge.

Instead we get a woman that does not know where she’s living, what the invicta are, and how long they would have this guard. You get an invicta that does not know after the 13th time it happens that everybody has end up mated without issue. This only makes sense is everything happens at the same time otherwise they are just bad at their jobs and these people are doomed.

Interpersonal issues are the same over and over. If you made it this far you already know what is going on but I guess that’s why I read romance.

Alien Adoption Agency 💥Jhon & Ella💥

I love this series. It's so fascinating, interesting & different from other authors' take on things. Ms. Black has a real gift for storytelling.

Ella is a wonderful heroine. She is sweet, clever & selfless. She has so much love to give baby Bo, all the new friends/neighbors & Jhon if he would just get his head on right. As lovely & likable as Ella is, Jhon is frustratingly stubborn, hard-headed & confused.

He really fought the mate bond hard. I feel like the mate bond would be a blessing, but Jhon took a long time to come around.

I won't give anymore away except to say that I loved all the wonderful characters. The setting is fantastical & super creative & the last part of the book & bonus epilogue are phenomenal ;)

Ella has been given an opportunity to start a new life and adopt a baby but she does have to leave her family. Jhon is an Invicta Warrior and the baby's protector for twenty years. There is an immediate electricity between the two when they meet. Jhon initially thinks Ella grew up rich which is the furthest from the truth. In fact, Ella is sending part of her stipend back to her family. One thing they can both agree on is the love for baby Bo. Jhon's dragon tells him Ella is his mate but he feels he is going against what the Invicta Warriors stand for. Lots of inner turmoil for both before they become mates. Beautiful ending to their story!

This whole series is so heartwarming....
Jhon and Ella have chemistry from the start, Jhon fights it and Ella is confused as she has never felt this way. Of course baby Bo is perfect as well as the other side characters. The world building is amazing. This can be read as a stand alone, however the details from each just keeps buildong on this amazong world. These are quick reads and feel good books that leave you with a smile!!

I received an ARC of this book, all of the opinions and thoughts are my own.

a decent read

Baring some issues. It felt at times author skipped paragraphs or pages. Thering doing one thing suddenly there doing something else. And I’m like . Uh? When did he remove her clothes cause certain actions require the removal of certain clothes before the activity can occur. Like. Mouths on lower parts.. ya know certain clothes need removing… And it wasn’t done. Things like that. It happens a few times. Doing this then all of a sudden doing that. Or they are doing smexy stuff the all of a sudden it’s morning. I got whip lash reading this

If you are a fan of alien romance, THIS book will blow you away. Tasha Black never disappoints me
with her books and this one is no exception. Jhon, Ella and little Bo are the cutest. They make a
perfect family and the people around them were the best. I absolutely LOVED the community.
The story, scenery and characters were so well written that once again I felt like I was there in the book. I LOVED this book and HIGHLY recommend it. You wont go wrong with this book.

3.5 stars unfortunately

I would have loved to rated it higher but there was really no angst or very little dangerous and unfortunately a bit bland for this writer this time around.

Ella hoped that by adopting a Imbre baby she would help her family. Jhon was there for duty purposes and nothing more until Ella stumbled into his life. Now if only there was more than sex scenes with a bit of action tossed in I could give a better rating. The Series is great though!!!

The neighbors and all their differences and the way they all came together like they always knew each other was a Beautiful thing.
Oh, I found myself wondering why none of the ladie’s families couldn’t there, Wonderful surprise at the end. 🙂🙂🙂

Ella is over the moon when she meets her beautiful adopted Iberian son his lilac coloured skin is so like the Invicta Dragon protector that has been so diligently caring for the baby and who will also be responsible for helping to ensure his safety until he reaches twenty years of age.

Ella had been unaware that the Invicta Dragon warriors would be with her and Bo for such a great number of years but has to say that she is pleased and also the feelings that she has towards the man are heartfelt and she knows there is something special between them.

Jhon is surprised that Bo has taken so with his new mother and quickly realised that he had also found his mate and that he was doing his very best to resist her but his inner dragon and he are trying to resist the mate match but she is so sweet and beautiful and kind of heart and so very different from what he expected.

I guarantee that you will love this addition to the series and that you will find this book to be simply wonderful and should you start will find it impossible to put this book down until you reach the end of this wonderful read.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Sweet love story. Her weariness is realistic, love the vivid description and her determination to be a mother to Bo as well as her drive and bravery. Fun, romantic, steamy and new alien world exploration, all wrapped up in one emotional package, never a dull moment. I received a free copy and voluntarily chose to leave this review.

This series has been fun and Jhon follows the trend -- moments of smiles and the temptation to reach within the pages to smack someone on backside of the head, of determination and romance. Many races working together. Bravo.

I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Foolish warrior

Jhon the Invicta dragon soldier doesn't think he should be raising an orphan baby for 20 years, much less living with Ella, the baby's new adoptive mom. He's a warrior, for Sol's sake! Fortunately, his dragon knows betterr than that. And Ella knows who she wants. Baby Bo knows too. Three against one - and guess who wins! What a great love story.

Being an invincta warrior is all work (duty) and no play, or so Jhon thought. He raised Bo from his pod, but didn't count on his adoptive mother....Ella's. Can love trump duty, or can they work hand in hand? Welcome to a world of kick butt heroines and swoon worthy heroes .....and love. Fabulous 13th book in the Alien Adoption series by Tasha Black

Sweeter than johnnycakes!

It was such a warm pleasure reading this book. To watch Ella bloom and Jhon realise his ideas were not correct and he needed an attitude adjustment. That he had the greatest treasure right next to him. That he would love so totally. The ending was so sweet, I just wish the story had been longer.

Jhon is an Invicta dragon, he's a warrior, for Sol's sake. As a soldier doesn't think he should be raising a baby for 20 years. Or living with the adoptive mother Ella, Fortunately, his dragon doesn’t agree with that. Ella and Baby Bo knows who they want forever. Will the three win, a cute and adorable love story.

Such a sweet story! With everyone starting a new life, adjustments have to be made. Ella didn't know what to expect from Jhon, but he didn't see her coming either! Baby No gets a mom and a dad, but maybe both for just a little while, because all Jhon knows is how to be a soldier and his dedication to the Invecta. This is a feel-good romance, like a Hallmark movie in word form!

This is the first of this series that I’ve read and based on the opening pages I had high hopes. Alas, it was lacking in development and detail with awkward dialogue and the ever present shape shifting disregard for physics. There were no reindeer sleigh chases, no mammoth hunts, no wilderness survival… only a stupidly stubborn man who didn’t want to be happy. Blah.

This is yet another great story in the adoption agency series. I enjoyed how John assumed something about Ella's but found out he was wrong. I also like how they know it's their mate right away. Really great story.

There’s insta attraction between the two main characters, but there’s also confusion, resentment and a lot of misunderstanding. There’s nothing she won’t do for her family, her new and her original family. There will be tears, but the results will be worth it.
