Though it's a crazy story, I prefer way better this one.
It's more "normal" and more credible.
For me, they have to make a bit of sense, and this one did it.



I thought this one is a sexy story.

Ava trying to enjoy her Halloween at a party runs into her ex boo Jack who she doesn't wanna see since she found out he's been lying to her. She doesn't trust him but those mixed emotions are all over the place when Jack kidnappes her to talk. Pinning over a year he wants his woman back but him not being human was a big deal now they are going to talk and by that he's going to tease and Torment his girl to show her why they belong together.

It's delicious Ava and Jack both do some apologizing which I love and we get some cum tasting treats 🤣🤣🤣
That Epilogue I laughed about the pumpkin spice flavor.

the story was really good, the spice was hot, I really liked the writing and I LOVED the Jack Jr. omg. I one hundred percent recommend this one.
and he has a huge magic library. and chandeliers. and a Victorian Garden. and a DUNGEON. and he designed the whole house himself? I don't even mind that he has a pumpkin for a head, someone tell me where I can find one please.

Layla really just writes monster smut in a fun way. I laugh so much through these books, and they are fun to read. You're not going in to have this crazy story. No, it's about a pumpkin and how he pleasures his woman. Perfect way to wrap up my Halloween. This one is about the original couple son Jack and his girl. Just remember that because at first I was like wait they are broke up. Lol

Monsterific ~ I love the Monster Ever After series. I own and have read all the previous books in this series. This review is for Jack 2. Jack Jr is just a bit darker than his father. Not surprising since his One treated him so horribly and said mean things. As the story progressed, it wasn’t so much revenge as it was giving her what she wanted, but couldn’t say. Loved the epilogue, when his mother visited. Made me laugh!!

This is a 5 book box set. All the books were previously published, except for Jack 2. This is a story about Jack Jr. who is Jack and Suzy's son from the original story Jack. It's the story about Jack getting back together with Ava who ran away from him a year prior when he showed his true form to her. The story takes place over a single night and is all centered around sexual activities but it's steamy, exciting and overall a sweet story. Plus you get a peak of Suzy from book 1 in the epilogue. Also, I would love to have the library described in the story. Sounded breathtaking.

I didn't reread any of the other stories in this box set, however, below are my reviews from the ones that I've read previously.

Jack - 4/5 - read October 2021 - If you don't mind monsters, and a strong alpha male and your liaisons rough then you'll enjoy this book immensely. Two years ago Suzy summoned a lover and the spell went awry. Now here she is on Halloween trying again and who should come to her door - Jack a man with enormous proportions and a head made from her pumpkin on the porch. Now he's been pent up with longing for two years and wants his revenge and Suzy is all to happy to give it. There is some plot to this story, but it's mostly smut and that's totally okay because sometimes that's exactly what you crave.

Grim - 5/5 - read November 2021 - This was an absolute hoot! I loved this story. It showed tenderness in embracing death and love and was still funny and full of steamy scenes. The ending was priceless and left me chuckling and strangely wanting to bake a cake.

Orc - 4/5 - read January 2022 - This is a light-hearted erotic tale of an Orc sent to earth by Satan and he finds his perfect woman and sets out to make her his bride. They have many romps together in her apartment and it ends with a brand-new line of cosmetics being made. Lots of funny over the top moments but that's what make these stories so much fun.

Crow - 4/5 - read June 2022 - This was a sweet and sensual story. Crow watches from the trees over Veronica to keep her safe from her ex. He's in love with her but convinced that she'd never want him with his curse. But then one night he intervenes to keep her safe and holy batman nothing is the same for them after that. The antics they get into in the bedroom will leave your e-reader smoking. If you're at all squeamish in your erotica, you might want to skip the story, but you love a bit of the taboo, then you'll really enjoy this story.

Monstrously fun reads with lots of ultra-hot steamy action:

Jack:
Suzy (h) is feeling lonely on Halloween and turns to her tarot cards and a little magical spell to summon up her dream lover. Demon Jack (H) is not exactly who she pictured with his pumpkin head and special Halloween-inspired special equipment, but he can be very convincing. So ultra-hot and steamy as Jack shows Suzy some true Halloween spirit. Sit back and enjoy some pumpkin spiciness!

Jack 2:
Ava (h) broke up with Jack (H) a year earlier when he revealed his true form to her, complete with his pumpkin head. She may have been upset about his form and felt deceived, but she never stopped loving him. But Jack is back and is determined to reclaim her, taking her to his Halloween mansion and showing her just what she's been missing. Jack Junior has no problem bringing his own holiday heat! More Halloween pumpkiny goodness! Enjoy the flavor of the season!

Grim:
With only minutes left to live, Beth (h) promises a Grim Reaper (H), with a skull head, horns and tail, anything he wants if he'll save her. After saving Beth, Grim wants what he wants, and that's her. A quick chocolate essence infusion and she'll be his forever. Hot and steamy with plenty of special sauce and eggplant!

Orc:
Karla (h) meets Gurd (H) in an online orc romance fan forum, and they agree to meet-up for a date. She's shocked to realize that he's actually an orc who's looking for a female of his own and he's chosen her. Gurd is willing to do anything to protect Karla and make her his, even if he has to resort to bargaining with her. Hot and steamy orc action with pistachio essence by the bucketful!

Crow:
Crow (H) watches over Veronica (h) keeping her safe from harm. He struggles to hold onto his humanity against the curse that transformed him into a crow. With the aid of a witch, he's partially able to painfully transform into a birdman at night, but he hopes that with the kiss of his true love he'll have more control over his transformation. But while Veronica accepts his birdman form, her kiss alone is not enough - he'll need something much more. Crow is so protective and super sweet towards Veronica and oh, when you read why... It was great that Veronica loved Crow even in his birdman form and didn’t seem him as some kind of monster. And just wow to the hot and steamy action.

I had previously read Grim, Orc, and Crow and regretted not reading Jack. Well not only was this my chance, but it also got me the sequel Jack 2.

I really liked Jack and Jack 2. Since I hadn't read Jack, I read both of them one right after the other, so it felt like one long story to me. It was a fun steamy read.

The following are my original reviews from the other three stories:

Grim

This was a fun quick read about a woman about to die and makes a bargain with her personal grim reaper. Great world building. I liked the characters. We get good insight to Beth and her life, and learn some about Grim's existence. A very unique romance. I'd love to see more of this world and these characters. If I had one critique, it would be that Grim calls Beth "baby" way too much for me; it was becoming a little irritating. lol Loved it. 5 stars.

Orc

This was a short, fun steamy read. Satan (from a previous book) is newly married and going on his honeymoon. He decides to bring a group of orcs to the human world to cause mayhem as his newest source of chaos while he's away. The orcs have no females, so they agree in hopes of finding mates. Karla met Gurd in an online group for fans of orc romance. He was an orc cosplayer and they were meeting up to go on date. Little did she realize she wasn't getting a cosplayer but a real orc. 4 stars.

Crow

I loved this story. It was sweet and sexy and had just the right amount of fairy tale elements in it. I really loved Crow's personality. He and Veronica were so good together. The eggs was new for me. 5 stars.

Overall a great must-read unique collection. 5 stars.

Perfect Boxset for Halloween

Jack - It’s Halloween, and Suzy is lonely, wishing for a lover. She’s gets that and more when she summons Jack, a demon with a jack-o-lantern for a head. What ensues is pumpkin spice fantastic!

Jack 2 - This time it’s Jack and Suzy’s son’s turn. Ava broke up with Jack Jr a year ago on Halloween. This year, Jack has kidnapped her from the Halloween party, determined to get an apology from her. This short story is pumpkin-spice spicy, with revenge turning into forever. A great spicy read!

Grim - This short story takes the Grim Reaper mythology and gives it a very spicy twist! Beth has taken a tumble off the mountain and when her personal grim reaper arrives, she makes a bargain to survive, promising anything he wants. The start of the book felt a bit hodgepodge, but once it settled in, it was quite well done. An interesting and enjoyable read.

Orc - Gurd the Orc and his crew and standing in for Satan, seeding chaos in the world. Karla is waiting on her blind date - who happens to be Gurd. This short story is pure romp, with a dash of insta-mate and a splash of irony at the end. Yes, it’s over-the-top, but I enjoyed the fun of it!

Crow - This story features Crow, a man cursed to be a crow who can shift into a bird man, and Veronica, who Crow has sworn to protect. When Veronica and Crow finally get together, woo-wee is it ever hot! Yes, he’s stays monstrous, but he’s really a softie, and I was so happy the Crow got a happily ever after. A great read, but not for the faint of heart.

Jack 2When Ava discovered her boyfriend Jack's true identity she freaked, now a year on and Jack's back to claim what's his. But by taking Ava to the Halloween Realm will it make her more accepting or make her run for the hills.

Grim-When life gives you lemons you squeeze, and when you're life's hanging in the balance and the Grim Reaper offers you life you take it even if it comes with stipulations! Beth needing that recipie to keep her Bakery buisness going, but she never expected to meet Grim. This is a well written fast paced insta hot loving paranormal smutfest!

Orc- kayla thought Gurd was a cosplayer but nope he was a real life Orc and he wanted her for his mate!

Crow-Crow lives a curse, one that can be broken by true loves kiss, he craves Veronica he watches and protects but he can never have, or can he? Veronica hasnt had an easy life, but she has a mysterious protector, and whe he shows his true form, shes hungry for more! Well lwritten steamy OTT, bird man /human romance.

Bueno, hablemos de este libro, estuvo bueno, no me encantó ni fue mi favorito (sigo prefiriendo el del papá), así que desmenucemos este libro parte por parte. Comenzando con los personajes, Ava me cayo medio meh man, o sea no fue nada interesante leerla y pues tampoco es que me hayan dicho mucho de su personaje, solo que le encanta el Halloween y la especia de calabaza, algo que no me gusto fue que la Ava no dejó que el Jack junior se arrastrará un poquito más. Ahora Jack junior, man la verdad tu papá tenía más personalidad JAUAJJAJAJA, pero bueh, es un man que le mintió a la vieja de Ava sobre su verdadera apariencia por miedo a que lo rechazará y resulta que si lo rechazó JAUAJAJAJJ, así que digamos que el muchacho fue un poco vengativo con Ava, y pues me gusta que le deje dulces a los niños, y ya man, o sea no hay algo más memorable de su personaje.

En cuanto a la trama, estuvo fácil de leer, lo lees en un momentito, está entretenido, tiene buenas escenas spicy y sigue siendo chistoso que sean manes con six pack y de cabeza tienen una calabaza gigante. Ah, y una escena iconic fue que la suegra de Ava (Suzy) la invitara a que se unieran al negocio familiar JAUAJAJJAJA, el que es vender el esperma de los manes calabaza JAUAJAJAJAJJA pero Ava le tuvo miedo al éxito y dijo que no jsjsj. En fin, léanlo si quieren reírse de lo absurdo que está el libro. Bais :D

This is Jack's son, Jack, and he's ABSOLUTELY ready to find a way to convince his special someone that he's not the monster she thinks he is. He goes about this by taking her to his Halloween mansion (which is in another realm) and showing her all the unearthly delights that are hers for the taking if she's willing to give him a chance.

On Ava's end, she's...conflicted. When jack revealed his true form to her, she panicked and reacted badly. Which is understandable. She's still holding on to some of her anger over his deception, but she also hasn't forgotten him. At all. So when he shows up on Halloween and asks her to give him a chance, she agrees.

Now she's in a house that is everything she could ever dream of with the hunk she hasn't forgotten and she's starting to realize that some things are worth fighting (and forgiving) for.

A little Halloween sexiness, a whole lot of pumpkin spice, and a lady who has to let go of her hurt if she wants to have a chance with the guy who is utterly devoted to her. *thumbs up*

So this is a compilation of several of Layla Fae's steamy monster reads. The first Jack was yummy. I loved the witchy FMC and how she was an imperfect but good natured clutz. Of course Jack was s** on a stick lol. All and all it was a quick but fun and funny steam read that I enjoyed enough to want to read the next one in the series. That being said, the stories kind of lost that fun but interesting character dynamic after that one. They were alright, but it seemed like the focus just became how can I make a steamy read with a mention of a fun flavored baby gravy. With the exception of one, and tbh I may be biased because I friggin LOVE orcs! I liked the different concept that Fae took with the Orc tale revisiting the goofy and fun loving fmc, in a world of cosplay and online dating this one was right up my ally lol. Grim wasn't bad it just wasn't as interesting for me. It was a bit of a darker read than the ones that I favored. Crow was.... strange... I am a bit on the odd side myself, and tbh I love an obssessed, stalkery mmc, but this one was.... different. It definitely went down a pathway of breeding that is not often written about. It was an eyebrow raiser to say the least. Finally, there was Jack 2... I had high hopes for the son of a quirky witch and the original Jack but honestly this was a bit of a let down. This one was again a bit on the darker side, not as much humor as I would like. I appreciated the steam but would have liked more substory, it just seemed kind of thrown together.

Imagine the surprise and joy I felt when I realized that Layla Fae decided to bless me this Halloween. It’s all about Jack Jr. in this sequel. He reveals his true identity to his girlfriend Ava and she doesn’t handle knowing he has a flaming pumpkin head. Well,so she dips. A year later on Halloween, Jack Jr is back. He still wants Ava, but she has to pay for leaving him in the sexiest way. I really enjoyed this short, fun and sexy story. I like that we get a glimpse into the life of Jack Jr and find out that he is darker and more possessive than his father. I will admit that the first story has a hold on my heart but I could never get tired of the vibrating, pumpkin spice tasting, four balls goodness LOL!
The epilogue had me in stitches and I want wait to see if Layla will bless us with more of this family.
