Amazing debut novel!

From beginning to end this book kept me thoroughly entertained. I was rooting for some while plotting on others but overall, this author did a brilliant job developing each character in a way that made them so real and relatable. In a perfect world, it would not have taken Sean's p u n k self that long to figure things out but they were both young. And I completely understood his feelings he but he needed to grow up. I have to say I LOVED Preston and everyone did him dirty. Everyone! He deserved so much better.
I have to say, this author did a fantastic job getting me on board with things I was adamant I would not be on board with so JOB WELL DONE!
I also love that this was a complete story but we could also get a peek I to their future and hopefully hear from the other characters. And I for one hope Preston finds a lady love.
Seriously enjoyed this book and could not put it down.
Will be recommending this heavy.

4.5

This story was very well written not just for a debut author but just in general. I love when Author’s can make me hate a character and then change my mind. In the beginning I hated everything about Sean. He worked my whole nerve because of the way he treated Carter and Lee. I understood where he was coming from to an extent but I still felt it was immature. The storyline was very intriguing and kept my attention the whole way through. I’m #TeamPreston period. Really good book

Seems incomplete

This book has great potential, however, it comes off as incomplete. I needed more on the type of relationship Lee and Sean had in order to understand how she continued to let him in her space with the way her treated her and his son. Where's the explain on why Symphony disliked Lee and why she would stoop so low to hurt her. The story ended with unanswered questions.

Good well written story.

This was a well written story. I was not a fan of Sean at all. He did Aaliyah dirty and she just took it. Like come on girl stand up!! If not for herself, her son. Sean in my opinion didn’t work hard enough to win his family back.

Great but I hate the characters

I was pissed at Sean for a lot of the book for moving without care. Then I was also mad at Aaliyah for never moving on despite being given every chance. I enjoyed it but I wanted better for everyone.

Cliche stupid girl and her eff boy

From the beginning I knew this book would irk me. So she gets pregnant, couldn't get an abortion, fast forward three years, her son is two and his father never wanted him, acts like it's all her fault she had their son. Treats and talks to her like crap, comes around but doesn't allow his son to call him Dad, heck the boy don't even know he's his Dad! His family stays on him about how he treats them, yet the girl just takes his illogical verbal abuse and cry about him not accepting their son. Suddenly after spending time with his son for his twin siblings graduation, he sees the error of his ways and wants to spend time with him, while still giving his mother grief. She stupidly sleeps with him, he basically ghosted her in plain sight, once again she just gives in agreeing to some breakfast. It gets dumber from here I can't even list it all. First of all, she shouldn't want him anywhere around her son since he didn't want him, let him pay child support and move on, why try to force him into his life by agreeing that he could come around but he couldn't know he was his father and couldn't call him Dad?!?! What kind of woman accepts some crap like that for their child?! Why answer his calls or the door, why do everything he wants like you were alone and should hold all the guilt of making a baby?!?! Then in getting back together, he didn't have to do any work to redeem himself, and the whole situation with her cousin smdh, just throw the whole book away, sorry not sorry.

A nice lil story

A lot of times, when a story has a lot of back and forth, It gets on my nerves. It was clear the two leading characters had a lot of maturing to do. Although Aaliyah gave birth to a baby at a young age, she sacrificed and grew up faster than her star athlete child's father. I liked that the families had regular legal jobs, and the drama was light. I understood Sean's point of view regarding the baby... Until he began to act as if he'd been brought up in an uncaring and uncouthed household. Which was not the case. I understood when his heart changed and vacillated when Sean was confused. Aaliyah, too, was within her right to be angry with Sean's decisions. I liked the way the author let this couple mature right before our eyes. The baby's age and his level of activity and understanding had me looking at this sideways, but mostly, I liked this story. 4.0 stars.

I needed this BOOK!

I love Aaliyah & Sean’s story. Although he was pissing me off with the mess he was putting Aaliyah through, I can understand why he was so upset , but I wish he would have came to his senses a lot sooner.

I’m so glad that he has Parents & Siblings that cared enough to call him out on his BS. Aaliyah reminds me so much of myself, it’s hard to let go of certain Situations or people , especially when you’ve created a bond & love this person because we wanna see the good in them & sometimes it can come across as being naive or stupid , and it very well can be a little of both at times .

Only thing I didn’t like was that my Good Sis didn’t knock Symphony’s head off her shoulders , She definitely need to get her lick back! She was outta pocket, I really enjoyed this book, it was refreshing . I can’t wait to see what’s next from this Author .

Love Unconditionally

Love Don’t Love Nobody by Cocoa Myles is a good and lovely read. Cocoa Myles did a good job. It’s well written and it’s phenomenal. The characters are hilarious, dramatic, emotional, unconditional love, and etc.

Hopefully, Preston finds someone to accept him and willing to be there for him. I’m happy that Sean admits his wrongs in the beginning but he becomes more mature and being a good father and man to Aaliyah and Carter. Symphony doesn’t have no love in her. She wants be like Aaliyah. Aaliyah is a good mom to her son but she’s too weak for Sean.

I’m looking forward to read more books from this author.

Two whole years

Whew…Sean was something else. I get it but sir. The way he acted and spoke to Lee and she just accepted for years. No ma’am. Sean didn’t do enough begging and groveling for me. I guess what the heart wants, the heart wants. I would’ve loved to see Lee and Preston together once they both were healed and whole. There are so many other stories from the costars I don’t know who I want to hear from first between Eric and Paris, Leo and Jessica, Mama and Papa Love. I wish Sympathy 🙄 would’ve gotten a good two piece and a biscuit because girl why you even do that and play like that? I definitely think they Sean and Aaliyah should’ve considered some sort of therapy because I don’t think the are as “ready” as they are portraying themselves to be to be all in.

Love Don’t Love Nobody

Love Don’t Love Nobody was a tale between two Aaliyah and Sean. The two are on different paths after an incident pulls them a part. The love Sean had for Aaliyah was evident, however, the way he moved was suspect. Hurt people, hurt people seemed like the theme of this story. The way the author told their story kept completely engaged from beginning to end. This author was new to me and I can’t wait to binge her catalog.
It’s toxic 🤭, but I enjoyed the way Sean knew that Aaliyah was his home. He was a mess, BUT his love for her jumped off the pages.
A great story, happy reading 💖

If you're for abuse

Yeah, this ain't it. I try not to talk about anyone's work. But this ain't it, he was verbally abusive All through the book and she took it. She didn’t say no! no more it wasn't until he said I don't want you anymore. she didn’t have friends to say hey let him go. He left his kid, just because she didn't go through the procedure. It was too much back and forth. Just no this book had the potential to be good but both of the leads were not redeemable. She forgave him for all the abuse in a paragraph just no

hated it

OK, this girl let this man treat her so horribly and allowed him to keep coming back over and over and over again, and the fact that he didn’t do right by their son and she still let him come back. I think this book is horrible. If you wanna read a book about a woman being treated horribly and staying with a man then this is the book for you it's like she was undeserving of a good pure love. She had to take the love from her baby daddy. I didn’t like this book. Horrible read 📖 I would not consider this a romance at all.

Lee deserved better

This author is new to me but so far I am enjoying her works. I wanted more for Aaliyah even when Sean decided to get some act right and be a father and better boyfriend she should have just stuck to co parenting. I so wanted her to get with Preston but oh well. Her cousins need to be dragged, it would be on sight/site every time. I hope we get Sean brother and sister story soon.

Life Choices

This story has so many jewels to see that there are many ways that you can make life better than you know it to be. Sometimes you're not seeing the big picture of what could be.

Sometimes you have to stand ten toes down in your decisions you made in life. Nothing is guaranteed.

Communication is the key.

For broken hearts 💔 only

This was really good. The author did a good job of telling Lee and Sean’s perspective in a way where both were understood. I only wish Lee would’ve “lived” a little more life during their 3 year hiatus. I would love hearing more from this cast of characters💜

Cute

This story has some drama, jealousy, and some growth. The main subject matter is a lot of men's reality. The characters are young and learning what life is really about. I loved the way the author deals with this storyline and the final outcome.

wow

This book takes you down and through it. It was most definitely an emotional roller coaster that’s for sure. Part of me wanted them to work. And part of me wanted her to move on. Sensational

What is love

What is love and how much are you willing to put up with to hold on to it. Lee put up with a lot from Sean. I was ready for her to put her foot down from the beginning. Sean was selfish. I get they made a plan but things changed. I'm glad it worked out in the end.
