It is a very valuable book that every child must have . This book includes all the fairy tales popular and less popular, tales from mythology and traditional favourites. All these stories will help Children to explore the world of reading. Good for young readers. These stories are loved by past generations and future generations will love it too. These timeless tales are a good addition to every library .

A great collection of fairy tales (Hans Christian Andersen, etc.) and folk tales. Each story takes about 5-8 minutes to read. The book is divided into one group of stories for 4-6 year olds and one for 7-9 year olds. My five year old is a big fan. We read a couple stories every day. My 8 year old listens in too.

It was fun to read to my kid, but it definitely makes me feel like we need more modernized fairy tales. So many old ones have tropes like the "good, quiet girl," and the "old shrew of a wife." But! The story about the princess who doesn't see the point in being captured by a dragon only to be saved by a prince was great! I also liked that there were tales from around the world.

I have been reading a story out of this book almost every night with our boys. Great stories -- we're almost done with the whole book! Some stories at the end of the book we didn't like as much -- but overall it's a great collection of Classic stories.

Benjamin loves this book, and asks me to read it to him. He seems fascinated by the shiny cover. The stories are short and true to the originals as far as I can tell. The writing is good. I will finish this and then read to him the Random House Book of Fairy Tales over the summer.

This was so much fun to read with my daughter. A wonderful variety of stories. I loved that there were stories from so many different cultures and mythologies. I felt that these stories were a wonderful way to expose my daughter early to stories from around the world.

Beli buat keponakan dan ikut baca. Serasa kembali ke dunia anak-anak.
Nostalgia baca cerita-cerita klasik, Si Kue Jahe, Gadis Penjual Korek Api, Prajurit Timah Yang Pemberani, Pangeran Pemecah Kacang, dll.
Saya coba hitung ceritanya dan benar ada 100, lumayan bisa buat stok dongeng sebelum tidur.
Kualitas buku dan ilustrasinya bagus, ceritanya banyak. Ini buku impian anak kecil.

This is a hefty and impressive collection of fairy tales (e.g. Hans Christian Andersen), folk tales, fables (e.g. Aesop), traditional classics (e.g. The Emperor's New Clothes) and myths.

As well as the well known stories, there are myths and legends from places near (e.g. 'The Hound of Culan' from Ireland) and far (e.g. 'The Trojan Horse' from the Greek poem 'Iliad'). These are good introductions into the classics.

It is usefully split into age groups from 4 to 9 years so you can progress through the stories. Each story takes under 10 minutes to read so ideal for a quick story or at bedtime.

The colour illustrations throughout, which are traditional in style, help bring the tales to life and are visually appealing for young readers.

A must have for any home library for children or as a resource for teaching in primary school.

Akhirnya bisa baca buku ini juga, walau minjam... Ilustrasinya bagus-bagus tapi cerita dipersingkat... Lumayan juga hampir 500 halaman dalam semalam, walau katanya dongeng tapi saya baca kok gak ngantuk2
