You have to kind of lean into the popcorn blockbuster appeal of this iteration of Transformers- don’t go in expecting to learn what it means to be in love or anything like that. You will see giant (and occasionally small) robots fight each other- much like a Godzilla movie. I had fun reading these, even if they read like free comics you’d get if you ate enough Pizza Hut or subway. Some very corny lines. Some questionable drawings of human beings- paired nicely with some great robot design.

Just have fun! It’s short, it is DUMB but it’s summertime, baby!

Transformers ROTF

The story here was better then the actual movie- but given the weak plot of the movie, that isn't saying a lot. The story here is still weak. That said,if you happen to like the movie or simply enjoy collecting every transformers story, this book is worth the read, and the illustrations are good too.

I think that this was a good book. Most of the things were correct. The way that they drew humans in the book weren't the best of drawings. Though, the way they drew the Transformers were pretty amazing. Especially in the fight sequences. I think that it covered all the main parts form the real movie but it did cut out most of the comedy and romance. THough, I'm not too happy that they cut out most of the comedy.
