Charissa Gracyk is one of my unicorn authors. I adore her writing and the spell she weaves in creating such stunning works of art.
Whilst I love all her writing, the Project Phoenix guys hold a special place in my heart.
Watching Jack, Dom, Jericho, Cassian, Max, Deacon and Vain working together seamlessly is equal amounts spectacular and hot!!! I mean these guys are everything by we dream out ideal man would be.
Deacon is a beautiful character. My heart bled for the pain of his childhood, the struggle he fought coming back into the civilian world. But, with the help of his brothers in arms he survived. He kept moving, using his strength and determination not to let his family down.
Now don’t get me wrong Deacon is a delicious package, the way Charissa described his voice made it so easy to bring it to life for me. The huskiness when talking to Adri was panty melting. Those yearning looks spellbinding. But, what sets him apart, for me, is his calm demeanour. His unconscious caring ways, the little things he does that mean the world to the recipient.
This is a man who deserves love and adoration, and Charissa chose the perfect character in Adri.
My heart ached for Deacon’s lack of belief in himself, his belief that he isn’t as worthy as his brothers in arms or that he doesn’t bring as much to the table. I just wanted to hug him and reassure him that he is as much of a fundamental peg in their circle as any of the other guys.
Adri is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She is everything that Deacon needs to be whole.
Adri recognises how special Deacon is from the moment they meet again. Despite her fear of being hurt, she decides to trust that he won’t cause her pain. This takes strength, because I think it’s sometimes human nature to avoid things/people/situations that have the potential to repeat a pain in the past.
This beautiful woman envelopes Deacon in caring and love. Her determination to protect him at any cost, to have his back without a seconds hesitation was beautiful. It was so heartfelt my heart ached with the wish to experience such emotion.
Watching all the guys work to protect themselves once again from evil was nail bitingly addictive, the depth of emotion erupting from the pages of this book was all consuming and palpable.
The chemistry between Deacon and Adri was off the charts hot!!! Even the noise of the hoover disappeared into nothingness as I revelled in the wildness of this earth shatteringly phenomenal world.
A rollercoaster of twists and turns. A ride that has you holding your breath as you weave in and out of danger. A totally exhilarating ride that you just never want to get off.
These characters have all waked right into my heart and have taken up permanent residence, which is fine with me because I adore them all.
Can’t recommend highly enough.

What another delicious story! Loved it. Deacon is the sweetest little, huge cutie pie. And Adri is a little Ray of starshine 🖤 really enjoyed this story as always. Loved seeing a darker side of suffering of someone returning from war and the affects it has on those who return to the "normal" world. But also the flip side of how supportive his network is, especially Jericho. Really loved seeing their closeness. Plus, all their women being bad ass in their own right. Yas. Love. And this story, what a dozy, so many intense scenes, where you wait to see how it is resolved.....or if it even is resolved. Plus tension, violence and danger. My heart was in my stomach, multiple times! This series is one of all my time favourites, highly recommended, and bonus of this book, we see a little more into Vain. Intrigued.

Another FANTASTIC book in the Project Phoenix Series...if you love intrigue, murder & mayhem, alpha men and their sassy women then you really need to grab these books. They are all stand alone with no cliff hangers but they are filled with heart racing, edge of your seat suspense that will certainly keep you turning the pages. This book is about Deacon (Thunder) and Adri...and are they in for the ride of a lifetime in their 2nd chance romance. Loved it!!!

This Project Phoenix installment is so action-packed, you’re going to have to remind yourself to breathe, because you’ll be on the edge of your seat waiting to see how it turns out!
Deacon has always been the binding force holding his former SEAL team together. He’s also managed to keep his personal demons hidden from everyone except his best friend and fellow team member, Aiden. The mutual support the two provide each other and the friendship they share is a beautiful part of the story.
Enter Adri, who knew Deacon when they were teens. Their past friendship made them privy to each other’s secrets, so when they reconnect, she’s able to ground the man who usually is the one others lean on.
When things turn dangerous, Adri is determined to work alongside Deacon. I love how he respects and trusts her and her abilities enough to have her come along, instead of trying to make her stay home. (Not that she would!) He treats her as an equal, instead of a fragile flower who can’t take care of herself, which makes me love him even more!
I’m definitely going to have to drown myself in chocolate when this series ends, because I’m going to miss the Project Phoenix guys and their ladies so much!!

After the emotional deep dive of Reactivated: Cassian, Charissa Gracyk brought the fast paced, high energy roller coaster experience to Reactivated: Deacon. I flew through this book because I could not put it down! The suspense, the action, and the heat—all off the charts.
Deacon is a sleeper character that readers will absolutely fall in love with. The “quiet” team member, he is anything but dull and subtle when his childhood crush re-enters his life. Deacon is an inferno, in more ways than one. And Adri is his perfect match—with a quiet confidence, open mindset, and caring nature that brings out the absolute best in Deacon.

This series is so captivating ,actionpacked, and imaginative. The overall arc of the story woven through the series keeps the reader on the edge of their seats and swooning over the heroes and heroines who find each other. Although I suppose you could read these as standalones, the books should be read in order of series to fully enjoy it.
Deacon's story follows him as he goes to his family cabin and runs into the- girl- that- got- away, Adri. She is kidnapped by the Project Phoenix evil group. When the team goes into rescue her, they find out that there is another way to be reactivated without the deadly controllers. The reversal serum Emmalie made is rendered useless and the guys turn on each other. Once they are no longer under the control, they amp up the efforts to put an end to Project Phoenix once and for all. Through all of this , Adri never leaves Deacon. The love and heat of these two flows with the storyline and never seems like a separate story. Gracyk makes it flow effortlessly so much so that you are caught up in the thrill of the chase.
The last book in the series is Reactivated: Aiden. It will be hard to leave this series and I am sure I will re read it often!

This book should come with a warning label. "Do not read if you suffer from any heart related problems" because if the non-stop action doesn't get you, the super spicy scenes will.
This book has action on every page, twists and turns you never see coming and a few surprises that knock you for a loop. One that'll even make you gasp and whisper "no way"
I finished this book yesterday but I needed a day to recover because I was speechless. There was so much happening and one scene in particular had me cursing. I won't say which one exactly but I will say it involves fire and an elevator. Mark my words, you'll be cursing too.
I do think, out of all the boys, Deacon's abilities are by far the best ones. Jericho's are awesome because who doesn't want to be able to move things with just a thought but Deacon's surpasses them all.
And that chapter about Aiden, ugh!! His story is going to send us on one hell of a ride, I can feel it.

This was the first Project Phoenix book I've read, so it was a good thing that the team had to explain what Project Phoenix was to Adri, and what happened to the team when they were reactivated, so I got enough backstory to understand what was going on and settle in for the ride.
And what a ride it was. This was Deacon and Adrienne's story, they both had a crush on the other when they were teenagers until Deacon joined the navy and Adrienne thought she'd never see him again. Their paths cross again and before you know it, she's kidnapped and dragged into the whole project phoenix mess. Ms. Gracyk keeps you on the edge of your seat with the action but intersperses this with real warmth and emotion and a strong sense of family and loyalty between the members of this team, and plenty of heat between Deacon and Adri.
I enjoyed it a lot and I'm now very motivated to go back to the beginning and read the whole series.

Hold on tight for this brilliantly crafted addition to what has become one of my absolute favorite romantic suspense series!!! Deacon and Adri....oh my....Sizzling chemistry and full speed action that I guarantee will totally consume you in the very best way! The true mark of a five star read is when you want to race to the end to find out what happens next but at the same time you want to slam on the brakes because you don't want to get off of this amazing adventure that Gracyk has created!!! Magnificent read!!!

This book is like an action-packed blockbuster. We get the meet-cute then are immediately thrust into the danger that never lets up. I loved it! This fast-paced romance was the perfect way to tell Deacon’s story, forcing him to set his demons aside and focus on the now. I loved that Deacon and Adri were a second chance couple. Having history together made their fall so much sweeter.
Every book in this series is amazing, and I’m both dreading and looking forward to the last book because I don’t want them to end!

Intense
I have discovered this author a little over a year ago her largest book does not disappoint it was action packed and intense at times we got deacons story and found out he has been struggling after leaving the military luckily his friend and teammate Jericho helps him we find out he had a woman he left behind and she unfortunately gets dragged in the drama surrounding him. We also get more of a glimpse into Adrian and where he lives cannot wait for his story

What a ride
From beginning to end you are on an adventure. Page after page filled with suspense and intrigue. This series just keeps getting better and better. Loved the relationship between Deacon and Adri. She was what he needed to once again feel whole. He was her Hercules. Fantastic writing. Looking forward to Aidans book. Just hate it's the last one in the series.

This one was intense! I think I got some zone minutes while reading this one...my heart was beating so fast! I wondered how this story would evolve after the ending to the last book. It definitely did not disappoint. It took an interesting twist that kept me engaged and reading quickly to see how it would all turn out. I am so looking forward to the next one!

Charissa is a very talented writer and I’m going to be so sad when this series ends because I have so throughly enjoyed it. Full of suspense and intrigue and hot steaminess which takes your breath away but in the end these super hot guys find the strong loving woman that stand beside them. I just found this author and this series by winning a copy of this. I am not surprised at how great this was and I need to go back and read the whole series now!
Once I started reading, I read from start to finish in one day as I couldn’t put it down.

Wow this was a nonstop thrill ride of a book, that's for sure.
This was about Deacon, former seal and victim of Project Arma who comes across a childhood friend, Adri when he goes to stay at a family cabin.
This book really grabs on and doesn't let go till the very end. So much going on and lots of action and danger.
I really loved the full on love between Deacon and Adri and especially how she stuck by him even when he almost kills her twice. The special moments in this book really make it an important book in the series.
Great writing and fantastic characters make this a must read and I can't recommend it highly enough.

This book was fast-paced and kept true to the concept of all the other books. There was more action in this than in the previous books, which makes you not want to put it down. The chemistry between Deacon and Adri is off the charts. I am a sucker for a second-chance romance. I look forward to Aiden's story as you get a glimpse of his girl in this book, but I don't want this series to end!

I absolutely love this series and this book is amazing. Deacon has not adjusted well to civilian life and feels he alone again as Jericho now has his own family. He reconnects with Adri, his teen crush and she’s in trouble already thanks to the evil doctor responsible for Project Phoenix. The team gets Adri back and she and Deacon get reacquainted while the team tries to fight reactivation. This book is action packed, suspenseful and super steamy. The ongoing series, Project Phoenix, continues to intrigue and keep me guessing as more of the conspiracy unfolds about how this team of elite SEALS was transformed into super soldiers without their knowledge, and they are slowly being reactivated. We are getting to know each team member as they fight to take down the ones who did this to them. Along the way, each meets his HEA, and those tough ladies are helping in the fight.
Deacon is the good guy everyone loves and appears to be the happy guy on the outside when in all actuality, he's dying inside. He sees all his teammates falling in love, which drives his depression more, so he escapes to his family's cabin. Upon arriving, he meets "the girl" from his teen years whom he has always thought about. Adri is at the lake house left to her by her parents, and running into Deacon is a sweet reunion for her too. As they come together, Adri refuses to leave or abandon Deacon, wanting to fight the battle with him. Once again, Charissa has written edge-of-your-seat action scenes, great dialogue, and ongoing romances between all the guys on the team. We see the women joining as a unit, bonding, and helping each other.
Reactivated: Deacon is a fun, satisfying read that leaves you wanting the final member of the team to meet his match and for the bad guy to be taken care of. I recommend reading the entire series as each team member's "special powers" that get activated make the story much more fun.
Deacon is the good guy everyone loves and appears to be the happy guy on the outside when in all actuality, he's dying inside. He sees all his teammates falling in love, which drives his depression more, so he escapes to his family's cabin. Upon arriving, he meets "the girl" from his teen years whom he has always thought about. Adri is at the lake house left to her by her parents, and running into Deacon is a sweet reunion for her too. As they come together, Adri refuses to leave or abandon Deacon, wanting to fight the battle with him. Once again, Charissa has written edge-of-your-seat action scenes, great dialogue, and ongoing romances between all the guys on the team. We see the women joining as a unit, bonding, and helping each other.

Honestly, I was expecting to find this book lacking just because it comes right after Cassian which was so amazing, that I was sure nothing could live up to it. BUT… this book was incredible. It felt like the perfect penultimate book. Setting the stage for the last one, increasing the feeling of “what next?” and building it up to what is sure to be a fantastic ending.

Absolutely great the Project Phoenix series 1-4 books ... I loved them so much I bought the next 3 books.
