After reading the first two books in this series, I couldn’t wait to get to Zeke and Gabby’s story. I was so hyped for it and it didn’t let me down. I’m loving this ‘Smart Jocks’ series and I can’t wait to read more!

After taking only online classes for her first few years of college, Gabby is determined to get out there and go to school. Her best friend (Blair from book 1) has been trying to talk her into coming to Valley U since her freshman year. It was their dream to go together, but when Gabby got into a bad accident in high school, she changed.

She’s a bit more stand-offish than she once was, but with the Valley U crew that Blair and her boyfriend Wes introduces her to, Gabby starts to come out of her shell. She becomes friendly with Zeke, the quietest most hardworking guy on the basketball team. I loved the friends to lovers dynamic these two had. They brought out the best in one another and watching them fall for one another made my heart so happy.
Being with Gabby is like wearing my headphones except instead of music drowning out the noise, it’s her making everything else fade to the background.

Gabby was never part of Zeke’s plan. No woman was. He has his eyes set on the NBA and that’s it. His past has definitely shaped him into the man he’s become, but being with Gabby all the time starts to change him in the best way possible.

I listened to the audio version of this book and it was narrated by Jakobi Diem and Savannah Peachwood. They did an excellent job voicing Gabby and Zeke. This book made me smile, made me swoon, and made me fall in love with these characters. I’ll be reading listening to book 4 (Nate’s book) sooner rather than later.

One of the best slow burn friends to lovers college/sports romances.
I don’t have anything bad to say about it. It didn’t blow me away BUT it was a solid story with great characters and Zeke is a favourite. Not usually my type of hero but I’ll make an exception.

I was absolutely bowled over with reading enjoyment from the first two books of the Smart Jocks series, so finding out that, the quiet, solitary and relatively unknown hotness that is Zeke was up next in The Tip-Off made me all sorts of happy.

Being with Gabby is like wearing my headphones except instead of music drowning out the noise, it’s her making everything else fade to the background…

Gabby is someone we have gotten to know as a secondary character from the beginning of the series, from being Blair’s best friend, and in the fact that a major life changing event for her is what essentially put Blair on the path to meeting and getting together with Wes. That event also meant that she has spent most of the last few years of her life hiding away and studying at home. Not looking for attention, and staying out of the way is definitely this girls M.O, so clicking in all the right ways almost instantly with the Valley U golden boy, the one that everyone looks up to, and who is almost constantly in the spotlight is certainly not something she planned on when she finally ventures to college for her senior year.

"Is it too much to hope that someone will be able to look past the scars and find me beautiful on the outside too…"

But this is a pairing that have more in common than initially assumed, Gabby smoothes out Zeke’s rough edges, and pushes him to be more than the solitary figure we have come to know (and love!) him as, while Zeke rebuilds a shattered confidence, and provides the college experience that Gabby so longs to experience, something that as the story progresses essentially makes them both reassess their goals and life priorities.

"You made me feel more alive in the past month than I have my entire life."

I loved this book, just as much as I did its predecessors, the author managed to balance the drama, chemistry, story-line and sexy-times absolutely perfectly again, as with the previous couples, this isn’t all about the insta’, it’s about getting to know one another, build trust and then move onto the fun stuff, but it also the enjoyment that you get as a reader as they go through all those parts of what takes them as friends to a couple.

"It’s never just kissing with you…"

I know we are barely half way through 2019, but I am going to say the Rebecca Jenshak is my author discovery of 2019. You know what I mean??? there is always that one author you stumble across each year, that you wish you had known about sooner, but know unequivocally that you are going to be a major fan of for even longer, well she is that one for me this year, and I cannot wait to get my hands on whatever she has in store for her readers in the future!

Gabby is a 21 yr. old junior in college who has just moved to Valley to attend Valley U. Due to circumstances she’s been a bit sheltered the last few years, so she’s thrilled to now be at Valley University where she can be with her best friend Blair, and have the true college experience she’s been missing out on. She’s even created a college bucket list to guide her way.

Zeke Sweets is graduating in less than two months. He’s so close to all his dreams coming true, and having everything he’s ever wanted. He’s the basketball star at Valley U, and is about to be drafted into the NBA. He’s worked toward this his entire life, and has to focus on his goals, and can’t afford to have any distractions. Then a beautiful girl named Gabby becomes a regular face at the house since her best friend’s are dating jocks. When everyone leaves for spring break they end up being the only two in their friend group on campus.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Zeke is well liked by everyone, but good at keeping people at arm’s length. Then he begins spending time with Gabby, and she gets under his skin. He wants her, but he can’t let himself have her. Their lives are going in different directions, and anything between them could only be temporary, but he can’t deny the connection they share. Soon he’s crazy about her, and in over his head. With an expiration date looming will what’s supposed to be casual fun end in heartbreak?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

-I've given up trying to deny there is something between us.

-The adrenaline rush I feel at our connection is big and exciting like those minutes before tip-off when I'm so psyched for a game I feel like anything is possible.

The Tip-Off by Rebecca Jenshak is the third book in the Smart Jocks series, and can be read as a standalone. It’s a fantastic sports romance with plenty of heart and heat, where the best laid plans can change, and love doesn’t care if the timing is right. This is a new to me author I’m so happy I’ve discovered, and I can’t wait to read more of her books! I’m so excited for Nathan’s story up next!

It’s finally Gabby’s time to have her college experience. For the last several years, she’s basically been living as a shut in while she comes to terms with her new reality. Once beautiful and popular, a car accident her senior year of high school has left her with scars, both visible and internal, she’s still trying to come to terms with. Now a few years later, with the encouragement of her bestie Blair, Gabby’s going to make up for lost time. And she has a list.

From the time Zeke Sweet can remember, his only goal was to play in the NBA. If he’s being honest, he doesn’t just want to get drafted. No he’s aiming for number one and nothing else will do. Becoming numero uno takes all of Zeke’s attention and focus, but when his friend Blair asks him to watch out for Gabby during spring break, he can’t refuse. It doesn’t hurt that Zeke’s already been sucked into Gabby’s loveable orbit. Or that he’s already a little bit infatuated with her. Plus...goat yoga.

From the first book of the series, The Assist, Gabby and Zeke were the stories I wanted told. Granted, I didn’t know I wanted them told together, but from the beginning these two fascinated me. I wanted to see Gabby break out of her shell and rock her college years. Likewise, I wanted to know about the quiet, thoughtful, Tom Cruise loving basketball star in the making. Turns out these two were fabulous at bringing out the best in each other and their slow to build romance meant I had plenty of time to enjoy their sweet banter and their eventual realizations that they were perfect for each other.

The genuine affection was evident between these two, but there were times when I wasn’t feeling the romance. I loved them as friends from the word go, but the leap from friends to lovers lacked the entensity I wanted from the pair.

I’m sorry to see Gabby and Zeke’s story end, but I’m already looking forward to Nathan’s book. He’s been the real mystery/slacker/jackass/kickass friend of the series and I can’t wait to uncover that whole thing.

Audiobook review. Zeke intrigued me from the get go with his quiet and focused presence. In earlier books in the series, he came across as someone who had little to say but when he did speak up, you listened.

Gaby was interesting to me but for another reason. I wanted to see the beautiful girl who was scarred in an accident come out of her shell.

I enjoyed how Zeke and Gaby developed their spark. The interest was there but it was nurtured carefully into becoming a tender and eventually passionate love.

The plot was interesting and focused more on internal conflict than anything else. The writing, imagery, and pace was solid. The narration was totally on point. Jakobi Diem has become one of my favorite male narrators. His voice was just perfect for Zeke. Savannah Peachwood, the female narrator, is a queen in her trade. Both of them had great pace, tone, pitch, inflections, and transitions.

This book is absolute delight for me. When it comes to romance, the hero is usually portrays in such a way that he is the nan whore and alpha male. Now Miss Jenshak gives us a hero with a brain.

In Tipp Off, meet Zeke. Now he is a fine hero. A perfect example of star athelete. All of his life, he sets his goal only in achieving his big dream as NBA player. Others just background noise. Until Gabby collides with his world. What a start as an awkward blind dating, it turns into so much more.

Slowly their friendship turns into romance. It is a slow burn. Zeke and Gabby, perfecting each other in such beautiful way that it will tugs ur heart. What i wish is that their relationship can go much deeper before they say the L word.

Overall i do enjoy this book very much. A sweet end to a quite weekend.

Favorite couple so far!

After her car accident in her senior year of highschool, leaving her with scars all over her body, Gabby secluded herself and took her College classes online. She had to work on herself and her trauma, go to therapy and find her self-esteem back again. On her last year of college, she decides to stop taking online classes and joins her bestfriend in the real world. She makes a bucket list that she wants to do, of things she'd missed out. Hanging out with her bestfriend's friends, she meet Zeke, a very tall basketball player who is on his way to be drafted by the NBA. He doesn't have time for distractions but he is easily swept by Gabby's sweet personality, charmed by her smiles and her spontaneity.

Oh Zeke! What a charming man he was. Broody and serious but easily coaxed by Gabby in doing things he wouldn't usually do. He was protective and even a bit jealous at times. I liked that he had his eyes on a goal and that he worked very hard to achieve it. There's just something about a passionate man that resonates with me and always will. He'd always been focused on his goal that he never really dated anyone. He remained mostly celibate during college.

Being with Gabby is like wearing my headphones except instead of music drowning out the noise, it’s her making everything else fade to the background.-Zeke

As for Gabby, I liked that despite her scars, she never threw pity parties for herself. She was aware of people's glances but refused to let that play on her self-esteem. She tried to be positive and to make friends. She was honestly a sweet little sunshine and it's no wonder Zeke fell for her and pretty much couldn't tell her no. She had for goal to experience the college life she'd missed out and it was sweet to see her try her best.

Her aim and power are god awful, but the giggle and smile that accompany her efforts make a perfect beeline to the left side of my chest. She’s reckless and naïve. So desperate to make a mark on the world she doesn’t realize she already has.-Zeke

I think Zeke and Gabby were perfect for each other. I liked how they started out as friends and slowly developed feelings. They were mostly on the same page when it came to their relationship. They kept things casual and tried to pursue their respective goals, rooting for each other. It was honestly a very healthy bond that they had. It was the sort of chemistry that you know will last a lifetime.

Definitely one of the better books in this series. Both characters were so realistic and likable. The story was slow paced, very casual and without any unnecessary angst. I was looking forward to this one and wasn't disappointed by it. Again, might be better to read all the books in order for greater enjoyment but this can also be read as a standalone.

“You were not part of the plan, Zeke Sweets.”

If you’re looking for slow burn, low angst, sweet as sugar, college sports romance, then look no further because Rebecca Jenshak has provided the goods in The Tip-Off.

Gabby and Zeke are characters that were around in books one and two of the series. Although you get to know them a bit there, you do not need to read those books to understand this story. (I do recommend both books though, because they are good!) Their story is actually a pretty easy read. I wasn’t sure how things would go because Gabby had some difficult things happen in her past that she’s still dealing with. We read about her navigating those in this book. Zeke is a top NBA hopeful and that’s his main focus. He doesn’t have time for much else, but somehow Gabby wiggles her way onto his busy schedule.

This was a pretty great read. Easy to read. Slow burn that kept me turning pages, and that’s saying something because I’m not usually a big fan of the slow. It was just a feel good college love story. You can’t beat that.

Now bring on Nathan. I have a feeling his story will have me all up in my feelings 😍

just had to relick this cover in preparation for book 5 😂😂😂😂😂 this man is so foineeee!!! Never change this cover dear author! 😍😜

Spoilers ahead,2.5* rounded up because that cover is gorgeous as hell!

The cover of this book is what prompted me to give this series a try, I just couldn't resist all that yummy chocolatey goodness........sadly the book didn't deliver what I hoped it would

Gabby is the best friend of book 1's h, as a teen she was in an accident that left her with facial scars. Her self confidence suffered greatly and so she started her college career with online classes while her best friend went to campus. Eventually she decided to venture to university and creates a list of stuff she'd like to try before the semester. She enlists the help of Zeke, the silent giant NBA hopeful in her scheme's

Zeke is the best friend and roommate to the guys of the previous books. While everyone parties and gets into relationships Zeke's focus has been entirely on basketball. He's had a few hookups but nothing that causes him to lose his focus on his dreams until Gabby

In all honesty this one wasn't a favourite. In book 1 I liked Blair's growth, in this one Gabby was insecure from beginning to end, I wanted Zeke to try harder with and for her but he actually seemed to be prodded into getting involved with her. She was the main pursuer IMO and I hated that. I wanted her to get a guy who'd fight for her. I almost preferred her with Nathan at one point. Zeke wasn't a bad guy but he didn't try hard enough for me. All her invitations to get naked and her little pushes for things to get physical between them made me cringe. For their first time SHE set up candles and music! Dammit I like my guy to pursue his woman! In the end Zeke was the one to profess his love and ask her to move with him and as mercenary as it may seem I was happy Gabby got the big time NBA baller with the million dollar contract 😂

Again I enjoyed the friendships and banter in this one and was happy to see Zeke get drafted and him propose to Gabby(which eased me a little bit).

I'm interested in Nathan's story and will try more from this author, while this one didn't deliver as I hoped I enjoyed much of it and look forward to more

In spite of being well-liked, Zeke Sweets, future NBA star, is keeping everyone at arm‘s length. He is singularly focused on basketball and thus views girls and dating as a distraction.

Gabby, after surviving a nearly fatal car accident four years ago, is badly scarred
and has locked herself away at home since then. Now she is ready to join college life for her senior year and is keen on crossing experiences (like skinny dipping and losing her virginity) off her list. Reluctantly, Zeke is pulled in by her and feels compelled to help her with her list. Gabby is the “mini-tornado” to his steady routine that he didn’t plan for and didn’t see coming.

A charming, heart-warming, slow-burn romance (book 3 in the Smart Jocks series) I would definitely recommend. Though Joel and Katrina from The Fadeaway (book 2) remain my favorite couple, Zeke and Gabby and their friends-to-lovers story aren’t far behind.

This is a very cute & sweet read. I enjoyed it a lot.
Except for that moment when I got embarrassed and stopped reading for half a day.
You know when you read a book and something is happening and you feel where is leading and you start screaming Noooooo....and then it is happening and yeah...no turning back...
poor Gabby I was mortified for her...

They also have a thing with music playlist ( which I also love) so I appreciated that aspect in the storyline too...

If you like to read New Adult books I recommend this series..it is good, cute, funny and sweet...perfect light read if you looking for that too...

And how long can you look at that cover without blinking..

I was really excited for Zeke and Gabby's story but, unfortunately, I thought it was just okay. There were some very cute moments between them (I want someone to make playlists for me every time he wants to say something) but, overall, it wasn't that special. Still it was a pretty decent read. 3 ⭐

The Tip-off was pure bliss and perfection wrapped in one beautiful love story! Gabby and Zeke were the cutest couple ever! I've been patiently waiting for their story for a few weeks and I'm over the moon.

I always like a good alpha man but after that I'm a sucker for brooding mysterious guy.
Well it turns out Zeke is not really brooding, he's just super focus on his goal. His life is centered around basket ball and becoming a NBA player is his dream.

Gabby is a young lady full of energy who's ready for the full college experience. After an accident that left her home a couple of years, she just want to live and enjoy her time.

The slow burn between them was exquisite. Their banter was fun and genuine. Gabby being daring and Zeke always ready to protect and keep her safe. When I started the book I was surprised to see how much I read without even looking at the clock. I never wanted to end. I wanted to experience all the things with both of them and see how things will turn out. How they will reconcile their dreams with their feelings.

The Smart Jocks series was really refreshing because there are not a lot of books out there with basket-ball. I'm so happy that I got to bother discover new characters and new author.

Now the cherry on the cake will be Nathan's story! I'm so ready for the guy who likes to party to settle down.

Ok so Rebecca was a new to me author three days ago. I kept seeing her books and thinking they sounded like my kind of stories but I never got around to them. Then I grabbed The Assist on KU and binged the entire series.

The tip off has been my absolute favorite. I knew I was going to love Zeke, he had the whole dark and brooding thing going and I was a little in love with him from the start. I loved that he gave his all to making his dream come true.

But I loved him even more once he started to let his guard down a little and let Gabby in. Because damn he did sweet so well. And watching him come out of his shell to get her to step out of hiding was awesome. It just made me love him even more.

Gabby was great. Knowing what had happened to her from the very start of the first book I wasn't sure how Rebecca was going to drag her out of her self imposed exile. Especially with Zeke who was in his own. So seeing her overcome her fears really made me feel even closer to her as a character.

This whole story and the two proceeding it have been such a perfect series I am dying to see what we are going to get with Nathan. Although I have a feeling it may be a bit heartbreaking I can't wait.

So many stars. I have been anxiously waiting for this book and it did not disappoint….like at all. It was everything and so much more. This is my favorite couple in this series, I honestly don’t think anyone could possibly top these two for the favorite spot, they were just perfect together. These two were absolutely everything, total relationship goals. Melted my heart. And I love me some Zeke, definitely calling dibs, double dibs, on him for sure. He was so perfect and perfect for Gabby in so many ways.

Gabby is Blair’s bubbly friend that decides to come to college and put herself out there after an accident that left her with some scars, inside and out. Zeke is the quiet, reserved basketball king bestie of Wes’s, that only talks a lot when he’s on the court. I loved that Zeke was the calm to Gabby’s storm, loved their playlist for each other and really loved all the shenanigans these two got up to, so she could check off her college bucket list.

This was a sweet and slow burn. We get to read how they become so close and honestly, I felt like these two were soulmates. Seriously, just the sweetest relationship goals couple. It also had a lot of emotions running through it as well, since we get both views on the storyline. And some things that Gabby faces from thoughtless people. This was a safe read. No om or ow drama, Gabby had a few admirers, but nothing unusual or dramatic. Zeke was the perfect guy for his perfect girl, Gabby. We get to see all of our favorite characters in the series. This book was so funny, with quite a few shenanigans. I adore Gabby and her outlook on life. There was an great epilogue and an hea. Rebecca Jenshak is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, she is such a great writer, always tells a great story, and this is definitely a must read book crack series. One of my favorites and I am sure I will re-read it over and over….yup, it’s that good.

I received this book from the PR Company to review the audiobook. Of course I went into the story blind with the exception of looking at the cover to know that the story is a sports romance. Zek is a basketball star waiting to get picked up in the draft. Gabby is the unattached friend of the group that has been sheltered since an almost fatal accident. Zek and Gabby start to hang out and find that they balance each other in a special way. Being that this is the third book in the series of standalones some of the previous couples are heavily sprinkled within the story so it may have been better to read those before this one. However, I found that the story stood on its own even with the extra character dynamics.

This specific video review will be included in the September 2019 wrap-up.

Unfortunately this book was a bit boring... Zeke has like no personality and there was no secret tension or yearning for quite a while. Zeke was just like slightly attracted to Gabby, but not interested and she was basically seeking him out and throwing herself at him all the time. Not exactly my cuppa. I just didn't believe the passion because there really was none. I was optimistic after book 2 which I liked the most by far of the first three books in this series, however this was a let down. There were some cute and funny moments and the writing was mostly good so I'm still giving it three stars, but there was just really nothing to connect to and it had the depth of a shallow puddle. I'm not interested enough in Nathan's story, nor do I have enough faith in the series as a whole to give it a go so this is the end of the line for me. Oh, well.

‘One thing I hate more than gawking – the pity. As if my life were defined by my face. As if my life were defined by my face. As if I’m somehow less than because I’m not perfect. As if they’re better than me because they wear their scars on the inside.’

We absolutely love this college sports romance series. Every book so far has been a winner for us and we just knew Zeke and Gabby’s book was going to be super special! Whilst each book can be read as a standalone we highly recommend a series binge if you’ve not read any yet. This series is so good! The romances are slow burn and there’s the college sports theme. The humour, camaraderie and banter is spot on and the emotional angst is on point. Rebecca Jenshank wrote another blinder in The Tip-Off.

‘Is it possible to juggle the NBA and be in a relationship? Maybe. But is it really worth the risk to find out?’

Zeke is an enigma, a quiet but formidable presence. His entire focus is on the NBA, everything else takes a back seat, especially romantic relationships. As in, he refuses to have one. He wants nothing to get in the way of his chosen path. Despite this he has an amazing group of mates, a wonderful sense of loyalty as well as a strong protective nature. Zeke is a powerhouse and we’ve loved him since the first book. Gabby is re-entering life after hiding away at home and living college life vicariously through her best mate, Blair. After a horrific car crash left her scarred for life she’s finally ready to join Blair at college. Immediately welcomed into the group of jocks, she develops a growing attraction to Zeke. However, whilst Zeke shows his sweet and tender side towards Gabby, making her feel safe and cared for, he fights the natural attraction as he’s adamant that he will not fall in love, because you cannot have both love and a successful career in the NBA. Gabby being quite innocent and somewhat shy hates being a burden or an inconvenience but her zest for life was contagious, so Zeke doesn’t really stand a chance!

“You are beautiful. Not in spite of the scars, but because of them.”

Zeke and Gabby’s love story was so sweet and tender, yet funny and full of chemistry too. The slow burn was quite delicious and it felt true to the characters, right through till the end. Relationships built on mutual respect, friendship and of course an intense attraction is always going to be what true love is made of. It was so lovely to be back with the gang again as we really have taken them all into our hearts. The Tip-Off had real beauty in it too, with a wonderful message from both Zeke and Gabby, who in their own individual way were hiding from the parts of life that make it one crazy emotional ride. They both needed to learn from each other and realise that the real beauty can be found in love and living life to the full. We loved it, just wished there had been more ‘afters’ after the journey we’d been on.

‘I need her to remind me that life should be fun and a little crazy.’

Gotta love when the sweet underdog girl manages to capture the hottest cool guy's heart. Fast, fun read with tons of heart. I loved this series before but I think this book is my favorite so far. And already, I'm thinking... What about Nate?

The Tip-Off was my first read by Rebecca Jenshak; I had been seeing her name and the different titles of her sports romance series all over social media and because I’m such a sport romance junkie, I knew signing up to listen/review the audio version of Gabby and Zeke’s story was a perfect way to be introduced to this new-to-me author.

Even though I headed into the third book of the Sports Jock series without reading the previous two stories, the fact that they are standalones about different couples allowed me not to feel lost despite not meeting the other couples of the series until The Tip-Off.

Jenshak does a great job illustrating just how ready Gabby is to be a normal college student - one who takes risks, has fun, and spreads her wings without the safety net of her overprotective parents. And while, at times, she does seem like a fish out of water, I admired her tenacity when it came to trying new things and truly experiencing all that life has to offer.

At the beginning of the story, it was clear that it would take Zeke some time to figure out that his life didn’t have to only be about the game he loves and excels at…he was never one to allow anyone to get too close to him and his quiet and reserved demeanor allowed him to flourish on the court, keeping up his training regiment without interruption. As cliche as it sounds, Gabby is a game changer for Zeke and as much as he fights his attraction to her and worries what those feelings would mean for his future and his goal to be number one in the NBA Draft, he finds it way too difficult to keep Gabby at arm’s length which means that if he’s truly going to give in to what he feels for her, Zeke needs to be sure that his willingness to risk it all doesn’t end up a sacrifice that, in the end, he cannot make.

Gabby and Zeke definitely take their time when it comes to exploring what’s between them, but that fits both of their temperaments as well as Zeke’s singular focus on the NBA draft. But even though it takes a lot of awkward encounters, silent conversations, and quick glances at each other before either of them take the first step toward something more, it was clear that what was building between them was a bond that would allow them both to step outside of their shell and see what it was like to want to simply be together, learning about each other and finding out that life has so much to offer them…they just have to be willing to try.

Jakobi Diem and Savannah Peachwood did a good job bringing Zeke and Gabby’s story to life. I especially enjoyed Jakobi’s portrayal because there’s an aloofness and loner vibe that surround Zeke and Jakobi conveys those characteristics with ease and precision, showing just how much he changes and grows as a person with Gabby by his side.

“If you think that your scars make me want you any less, you’re wrong. I want you because of them. I want you because you’re here and you’ve made me feel more alive in the past month than I have my entire life. You lived and you brought me to life.”

OH. MY. DAYS...

You guys have no idea how badly I’ve been wanting Zeke and Gabbys book; from book one I loved Zeke. He was mysterious, the strong silent type, and I just couldn’t wait to find out what made Mister Sweets tick.
Let me start by saying, I LOOOOVE Rebecca Jenshak, and I LOOOOOOOVE the SMART JOCKS series. I really feel like she has stepped her game up with these books, and it’s so clear that she is in her comfort zone writing sports romance. Without a doubt though, THE TIP-OFF is my favourite of the three books so far (and considering I adore Joel in THE FADEAWAY, Zeke had pretty big shoes to fill)
Gabby is just so adorable. She has been through so much and just wants to live the normal college life, not expecting to be knocked off her feet by this brooding basketball star. When they come together it’s just cuteness overload and their awkwardness around each other is hilarious to watch.
This series is an absolute breath of fresh air, and RJ has created a world so fun and compelling, that I just want to lose myself in the words. The whole VALLEY U gang are such a great bunch of friends who I love reading about...which brings me to a certain somebody...
I had assumed that this was going to be the last book (well, you know what happens to people who assume, right?) I got to the end of the book and I thought “Damn, I would LOVE to find out what Nathan’s deal is”
And what do you know...RJ had put a note at the very end to say his book will be coming at the end of this year. She just knows her readers too well!!

If you haven’t read this series yet, I can’t recommend it highly enough. A definite must for College sports romance fans.

Audiobook Review

Overall 4.5 stars
Performance 4.5 stars
Story 4 stars

This was such a sweet, slow burn sports romance! I have been waiting to get inside the mind of quiet Zeke Sweets from the start of this series and I couldn't have been happier to see the sparks fly between him and Gabby. They couldn't have been more perfectly paired. Both have scars (emotionally and physically), but I loved how they each supported and brought strength to the other. They really helped the other grow and be better. I appreciated that there wasn't much drama or unnecessary angst. It let the anticipation build up gradually as these two go from friends to more.

Savannah Peachwood was just the right amount of sweet and sassy to pull off Gabby and I really enjoyed her performance. This was my first time listening to Jakobi Diem and I was very pleasantly surprised. I liked his narration as Zeke a lot, but his female voices weren't as strong as his male. There were a few times that I didn't feel the distinction between Gabby and Zeke was pronounced enough, but this really can't be helped since he has a deeper voice. Still a wonderful feel good story and I'm very excited for Nathan's story next!

Seriously adored this book!!! I binged it one late night session staying up til almost 3am to get my hard fought HEA. My favourite of the series so far - soooooo good!

Zeke has been a favourite since book one. I'm a sucker for the quiet, determined guy. I don't need my heroes to be alpha in an obvious way - I'm much more intrigued by the hard working, seemingly closed off characters. It didn't hurt he was all kinds of delicious. And Gabby - well she's my kind of romance heroine. Not your cookie cutter perfect bombshell - she's a real woman, with scars - both physical and mental. Together they were just what the other one needed!

I loved the slow burn feel of this one, the banter and friendship was so genuine I found myself smiling for a lot of the book. The heat level is lower than I usually read but it didn't matter. This book was sweet enough that I was hooked anyway & there was no doubting their chemistry at all! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a college sports romance with some heart.

I received an ARC of this book.

The Tip-Off was an amazing read.
The anticipation almost killed me and when I had a copy of this book in my hands I forgot everything else in order to enjoy Rebecca Jenshak's every single word.

I loved Gabby and Zeke's story. They are great characters and I've been rooting for their happiness from the start.
Gabby's just arrived at campus and she can't wait for her classes to start so she can finally have the full college experience after years spent taking on line courses. But she doesn't want to begin as a "virgin" so she makes a list of things to do...such as going to a frat party or skinny dipping.
Zeke is just waiting for his last few weeks as a college student to end and to begin his new life as an NBA rookie. He has one dream and he thought nothing could distract him until he met the beautiful and spirited Gabby and decided to help her with her list.
Will they have only a platonic relationship and enjoy their friendships or will they cave and act on their chemistry?

Now that I've finished it the struggle is REAL how can I survive until Nathan's story comes out??
