Sorry folks, this one was NOT for me...

Yikes! I make it a point to avoid writing reviews for bad books - The author worked hard on this, but it was sloppy. Grammar and punctuation mistakes aside, it was a ridiculous collection of words strung together and called a book.

Tie Me Down was all about Sex, New Orleans, corrupt cops, gruesome murders, stalkers, women who should know better than ignoring the stalkers (but do anyway), and men who want to protect them from danger... It's like this book was comprised of out takes from Full Exposure (the only other book I've read from Tracy Wolff) to the point that I immediately knew that was the serial killer. When the answer to the only real mystery is blidingly obvious to the reader, it makes your Man Character seem like an idiot for not figuring it out...

Here's what was good about this book:
(because I feel kind of bad trashing anyone's book):
1. The sex scenes were good.
2. Cole had some steamy bedroom dialogue.
3. The moments when we saw Genevieve working the case were fun.
4. The serial killer was delightfully twisted, I liked his taunting clues...

But here are the problems:
I have no issue reading erotica that is simply sex with little-to-no plot line. Unfortunately Tie Me Down claimed to have a plot line... We saw nothing about the alleged plot line for most of the book. And it definitely wasn't as full of suspense as the book's description would have you believe. You have to get at least 75% though the book before anything happens with "suspense" and it's a chore to make it that far...

Genevieve Delacroix was an infuriating, unreliable character. Just because the author tells us she is an Ice Queen, hard ass detective does not make it true if the character acts in an opposite fashion through the entire book.

Why was she constantly putting herself in dangerous situations with this guy she doesn't know, who has files about her and photos of gruesome murder scenes?!?! She's a homicide detective, she knows what the possible consequences could be. She knows that the killer has taken an interest in her. But she's like, "well screw it, I'd rather have sex than think about it."

You have to get 28% through the book before the two main characters said anything to each other that that wasn't sexual. It lasted less than two pages. They had breakfast together. Genevieve even took the time to think about having a dialogue:
"You never did answer my question last night." He leaned against the counter, his body suddenly tense as he watched her over the rim of his coffee cup. "Which question was that, sweetheart? 'Where'd you earn to fuck like that?' or 'Could you do it some more?'" She narrowed her eyes, refused to blush at the reminder of her blatant demands. "The one where I wanted to know what the hell you were doing researching my department and various sexual homicides from the last few years. How did you even know about them?"
A perfectly reasonable question!
I'd been wondering the same thing!

And what happens?

They fuck again rather than answer any burning questions...

Because yeah...

We have to go through several pages of sex before any conversations were resumed, and amusingly, Cole says what everyone is thinking:
"And while you're at it, think about what it says about you that you fucked me while you had even the slightest suspicion that I was involved with raping and killing seven young women. I guess I'm not the only sick bastard around."
And so Cole and Genevieve argue, Genevieve leaves, and the book continues to deteriorate in spectacular fashion...

Final Thoughts:
I like to come away from a book with a new experience, or having learned something. I learned something very important from Tie Me Down. I learned that I'll never ever read Tracy Wolff ever again.

4 stars – Romantic Suspense/Erotica/BDSM

If I was to rate this simply for the heat factor and frequent and explicit sex scenes, then it would earn a solid, high five stars because it’s off the charts hot and intensely erotic. Unfortunately, other aspects of the book weren’t as strong or compelling, which is disappointing because it had the promise and makings of a really intriguing and gripping erotic romantic suspense read, and I wanted to love it. After reading Full Exposure, I had very high expectations for this. Although I enjoyed the powerful eroticism and it delivered in spades on that front, I had some issues with other parts of the story, mainly the lack of character development and a few rather gaping plot holes.

Genevieve Delacroix, the only female detective on the New Orleans homicide squad, is investigating a sadistic serial rapist/killer. She meets mysterious, dominating Cole Adams, who harbors secrets related to the case, and they share an immediate, explosive attraction that threatens to shatter her tightly held control. When they engage in a volatile, obsessive affair and risk exposure, will Genevieve become the killer’s next target?

The suspense plot has some twists and surprises and reaches a thrilling climax, but it’s not the main focus because quite frankly, the attention grabber in this story is the ‘have an ice tray handy’ hot, kinky BDSM sex that Genevieve and Cole share. There’s a wildly erotic kitchen interlude using tequila and a creative, kinky bedroom scene involving Japanese rope bondage/binding that intrigued me enough to do some extraneous Google research.

Overall, it’s a scorching hot, extremely sensual, and wickedly erotic read with chilling suspense. I just wish that I’d felt more of a connection between the characters, but they definitely set the sheets (I mean ropes) on fire! 4 stars!

Tie Me Down by Tracy Wolff could be describe and summed up as a serial killer is loose on the streets of New Orleans and lots of sex and I mean LOTS OF SEX!!

Genevieve Delacroix is a homicide detective of New Orleans Police Department, who tries to solve and capture the serial killer that's been brutally raping and murdering young women. Cole Adams seeks Genevieve in hopes she will be able to help him solve the murder of his younger sister, Samantha.

Fotor0101218390_zps34be2d5e

Although there was serial killer on the loose, 80% of the book was just sex and lots of sex! Cole's attraction and lust for Genevieve was so strong that his dominant side comes out. All he knew was that he wanted to control her. So in the end, these two just had LOTS OF SEX!! They would argue then have sex never resolving their issues. Eat breakfast then have more sex.

There was little plot development in the book. And as for the serial killer, I already suspected who the killer was so I wasn't shocked. As for Cole and Genevieve's relationship, it just seemed so fast to be exchanging the "I love you's" when they can barely resolve any issues or arguments. Tracy Wolff

This book just never really clicked for me. I wanted to like it and I thought that it had a lot of potential, but the story seemed to be overwhelmed by all the sex. I felt like there was a lot left to be desired when it came to the romance.

Summary:
Genevieve Delacroix is the only female in her squad and has to constantly fight that stigma. But she's a good homicide detective and is dedicated to her job. Which is why she is so determined to prove that a recent string of sadistic rape/murders are actually the work of a serial killer. Problem is that her boss doesn't believe her. So she has to find evidence. On top of that, there's a new man in her life: enigmatic Cole Adams.

Cole has spent the last 7 years hoping to find a way to find his little sister's murderer. Now he has a plan and returns to New Orleans to get to work. But once he meets his target (Genevieve), he's lust struck. He wants her like nothing he's ever wanted before. The two begin a sizzling affair that challenges them on every level and forces them to shed their inhibitions. But now Genvieve is in danger and Cole might once again lose someone important to him.

Review:
There was so much potential for this to be a great book: romance, a suspense plot, hot sex. But really, the only standout point was the hot sex part. There certainly was plenty of that. But on the romance and suspense plot parts, the story came up rather short.

I blame that on the fact that this book is almost cover-to-cover sex. At times it was like one sex scene after another. And jeez it got boring. I mean, yeah, the sex was super-duper hot, but there was just so damn much of it! It took up so much time and space int he book that other aspects were left underdeveloped.

For one thing, the romance was very one-dimensional because the whole focus was on the sexual passion between them. The two can't seem to be in the same room without going at each other like maniacs. They hardly talk, or talk about anything deep. When they do start to talk, it devolves quickly into a fuck-fest. Every time I thought they were finally going to get to the nitty-gritty of their secrets and issues, they veered off and had sex. Again. It was so annoying.

On top of that, the relationship was very antagonistic. They were always fighting and angry with each other (then they would have make up sex). That got really old quick. And also, Cole is more than a little Neanderthal. He was a total brute at times. Not very endearing.

And all that made the romance aspect of the book feel very flat. I wanted so much more out of the two characters and instead I got a sex fest.

On the suspense-plot front, the story was okay. I thought it was interesting but could have been stronger. There were some jumps in logic that didn't really make any sense. And there's one part that's sort of left hanging and I found that disappointing.

I didn't hate this book, though. It was certainly hot and sexy, but I just like erotic romances that are more well-rounded. But if you like a whole lot of hot sex, then maybe you'll like this one. Just beware that it does involve a moderate level of kink (see warnings below).

WARNING, this book contains: explicit sex and language, oral sex, ass play, toys, bondage, spanking, dominance, voyeurism, rough sex, semi-public sex, masturbation....etc, etc, etc.

He was a magician, she decided as she allowed herself to sink into Cole. A sorcerer who could seize control of her body, make it do whatever he wanted.

Well, this book had a lot of sex. No really. It had A LOT of sex. I am not usually one to complain about something like this. I do love me my smutty smut. BUT I need a little plot to go along with it. And in this book, the plot was pretty much lost within the never ending sex. I swear, Cole had an energizer dick. It just kept going, and going, and going.

This had all the makings for a fantastic read, a suspenseful plot, great characters, but unfortunately it just fell flat. If you're looking for a steamy read, look no further. This book was HOT. The sex scenes were incredibly erotic, and VERY frequent. If I was to rate this on the sex alone, hell it would have been 5 stars, easily. But I read so much erotic romance, that I expect a little bit more substance in my books to make them stand out.

Relationship development? Nope! Just sex.

Conversations between the two characters that allow them to learn about one another? Nope! Just sex.

An argument arises between them. Do they communicate to resolve it? Hell no! They have sex!

I like steamy books. Oh who am I kidding? I love them! But I also like to feel a certain level of sexual tension between the characters. A connection that goes beyond just a physical joining. There was none in this book. These two go at it within the first minute of meeting each other. At the 30% mark my interest was pretty much gone.

Then there was Cole's newly acquired Dom penchant. Basically I'm expected to believe that a man in his 30s that has had zero experience with D/s, all of a sudden develops an uncontrollable urge to dominate and control Genevieve because the sex between them is THAT hot.

So he goes to a sex store, picks up supplies, and VOILA, he's an expert in Shibari just a few days later.

What? Did he google it? Watch a youtube tutorial?

Right then. Moving on.

The suspense part of the book could have been good. Unfortunately I figured out who the bad guy was pretty early on. So the ending was a bit anticlimactic for me.

The other part that bothered me?

As for my rating?
I'd give 5 stars for the sex, and 2 stars to the actual story. So let's just make that 3 stars for the whole package. This was my first book by Tracy Wolff, and I enjoyed the author's writing style so I plan to try another book by her. This book wasn't bad, it just wasn't a 5 star read for me.

3 Sexy Stars.

This is my second book by Tracy Wolff this week, Full Exposure, left me a little disappointed, and Tie Me Down has left me a little frustrated.

As with my review of Full Exposure, the issues I have with this book are similar. The sex is extremely well written, imaginative and off the charts hot. But it is basically all the story consists of.

Genevieve and Cole literally burn up the sheets (and pretty much every other surface they land on), but I wanted more depth to the plot and the development of the overall story. Tie Me Down as far as I can make out if meant to be a Romantic Suspense, but we are looking at about 90% Romance (sex, sex, sex) and 10% suspense.

I am still interested to read more of Tracy Wolff’s work though, because hot damn! she has got mad skills when it comes to writing an off the charts, melt your panties sex scene.

Ok….
There was some of this...

Plenty of this...

with a bit more of this...

and then definitely more of this...

I've enjoyed Tracy Wolff's other stories. This one took me a while to finish. It has PLENTY of sex and it was HOT. Cole sounds amazing, so too does Genevieve. I just felt it was lacking in bringing the whole suspense, murder, intrigue and eroticism altogether in one package.

If you enjoy your romantic/erotic suspense which is a little light on the suspense side then this might be the read for you.

Let me sum up this book, HOT SEX, NON-STOP STEAMY LOVIN', with a serial killer mystery thrown in...

Genevieve is a detective in the New Orleans Police Department working the homicide division. A series of brutal murders have taken place and while each murder is different in everyway Genevieve can't help but feel a connection in some way.

GENEVIEVE:
Charlize Theron photo: Charlize Theron charlize_theron.jpg

Cole Adams is a documentary film maker making a film about sex crimes and abuse against woman in the NOLA area. Cole also has another motive, he is looking for the his sisters killer, so he has profiled Genevieve because of her track record and he wants her help. He just goes about it the wrong way and doesn't tell her what he is after because he finds himself so drawn to her.

COLE:
Gerard Butler photo: Gerard Butler 225qc9.jpg

They immediately hit it off at a local bar and go back to his place. The next morning Genevieve finds his research on her cases and starts to think the wrong things.

This book is intense non-stop sex so much so that the murder stuff seemed to take a back seat. This is by no means a complaint by me, because Cole was aggressive and so hot. But he was also explosive when he didn't get what he wanted out of Genevieve to the point it was borderline excessive and scary. But, what else would we want from an Alpha male...

There are some moments where Cole does become more human, he admitting his feelings for Genevieve, his downright horror over the murder scene, etc. But then their are times where you have to ask why is his running? Outside of the bedroom, these two seemed to have issues connecting to me, but then again, I could have just been interested in them just going back to the bedroom.

The murder suspect was a little bit predictable but still a good story line regardless.. The score is 5 for steam factor and 3 for storyline rounding out to a score of 4 Stars.

This book was SCORCHING HOT!!!!! I really liked the main characters. Genevieve is a homicide detective in New Orleans, trying to solve a series of brutal murders that seem like the work of a serial killer. Genevieve was a total badass while at the same time had a vulnerability to her that I found very endearing. She remained true to her job and didn't let her relationship with the H cloud her judgement. The H, Cole, was swoon-worthy with his dominating, protective alphaness. Together, they were the perfect fit. I can't wait to read more books by this author.

I received this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The gist: Genevieve is a homicide detective. Cole makes documentaries. There's a serial killer raping, torturing, and mutilating women all over the French Quarter and he has his eyes set on Genevieve. Genevieve and Cole can't keep their hands off each other.

This book was lame sauce overall. I enjoy erotica, but when a book is ear marked as suspense, I expect some level of suspense. That part of the plot, however, seemed only marginally developed and kind of slapped together. If all you really care about is erotic sex scenes and bondage is your thing, you'll probably melt all over this one. As for me, my vagina is currently repulsed by the idea of sex as it's throbbing in sympathy pains for all the orgasms and rough sex Genevieve enjoyed in less than three weeks. Her vagina was either lined with steel or her clit was swelled to the size of a softball! We're talking 20-30 orgasms from fingering or licking to every one of Cole's orgasms. If that's your bag, your panties will disintegrate during this book. Sure, SOME of the sex was hot, but I honestly skipped the vast majority of the sex scenes because I just couldn't handle that much sex. Without exxagerating, I'd say that easily 85% of the book is spent with Genevieve and Cole having some form of sexual relations. 5% was these two bipolar idiots arguing with each other. And I'm not talking bickering over the toilet seat should be kept up or down. I'm talking going from postcoital bliss one second to screaming at each other on 2.5 seconds. The other 10% was spent actually working the homicides.

Genevieve and Cole was seriously underdeveloped and both seemed to suffer from personality disorders. Genevieve is supposedly an Ice Queen. I was told that repeatedly, but I didn't actually witness her being an 'Ice Queen.' I was told she was an excellent detective with an incredible solving rate on cold cases. (First of all, I always thought that if a department had a detective working cold cases, they didn't work live ones at the same time... Maybe I'm wrong on that... It's not like this is a small town. It's New Orleans...) So she's this excellent cop who, I'm told repeatedly, has incredible instincts but she doesn't seem to have any instinct for self-preservation or her surroundings. At times, it was like she was rookie beat cop or something. She also 'needs' to have control, I'm not sure why, but she gives up her control to Cole within 30 minutes of meeting him. Then there's Cole. He's huge and sexy, I guess. He's never had the urge to tie a woman down or spank her before but something about Genevieve makes him want to do just that and he's an overnight professional Dom, tying her up with some intricate Japanese bondage setup (I googled it... Holy shit!!!), doing wax play perfectly, and he has an overnight 'Dom voice'. So, that was cute... In two weeks, they spent maybe 24 hours total together (in three orgasm-filled sessions), but they are both feeling like they don't know how they can possibly go on with their lives without the other person and they know next to NOTHING about each other!!! I realize this is fiction and this is somewhat the norm, but this is especially ludicrous!

Now let me vent, I mean tell you, about the plot itself. There's a crazed serial killer as I already said. So the book starts out on the day Genevieve and her partner discover the 3rd girl. It's been a long day and she's drained and pissed that she hasn't caught this killer. Just before she leaves for the day, she gets an obscene phone call on her desk phone. She just hangs up thinking it's 'just kids again' and even if it was 'just kids' making obscene phone calls to a police station, that shit would be investigated and the fear of God would be put into those 'just kids'. But when you take into account the third body has been found and she's looking for a sadist psychopath and she gets a 'crank call', a REAL COP wouldn't just put it down as 'nothing' and leave for the day. Oh, and small details like she's not wearing a gun... Yup, she's an EXCELLENT detective... Another 'detail' issue was when they found a body hanging in a closet and Genevieve gets the ME's approval before she approaches the body, she circles the body, and THEN she and the lab techs put booties on before entering the crime scene. Uhhh... Cole's sister had been raped, tortured, and mutilated and he had wanted to ask Genevieve to look into her murder, but he never did get around to asking her about it. And his sister was a victim of a serial killer, a fact that is dwelled on by Cole A LOT, but there's never any resolution to anything in regards to his sister. It wasn't hard to figure out who the murderer was, I had him pegged almost immediately.

This story had SO MUCH potential and I was looking forward to reading it, but alas I was seriously disappointed. On the erotic scale, this book would easily be 4 or 5 stars. On the suspense scale, it was 1 star for me. Since it is earmarked as an erotic suspense, I settled on 2 stars. Based on everything I've said about it, you can decide whether or not it's worth your time...

He wanted to see Genevieve tied up for his pleasure- for her pleasure. Needed it with an intensity that completely blew him away. He didn’t know why- couldn’t explain his reasoning to himself, let alone to anyone else. But he needed to dominate Genevieve.

To take her over completely, even as he gave her the most incredible orgasms of her life.

To make her his in every way possible, even as he kept her safe.

Cole Adams comes to New Orleons searching for information related to his sisters murder years earlier in the city. Her death has haunted him for years and he’s hoping he can convince Genevieve Delacroix, a homicide detective with a good track record, to help him find answers. Things take an unexpected turn when Cole tracks down Genevieve in a bar and chemistry explodes into a night of passion Cole wasn’t prepared for. He doesn’t tell Genevieve about his hidden agenda or his initial plan to ask for her help and instead gets caught up in a passionate affair he can't walk away from.

Genevieve is a hard working homicide detective that gets little support or respect from some of her male co-workers on the squad. She works harder, she acts tougher, and she rarely lets her guard down. She’s busy trying to piece together the clues left behind at several grizzly crime scenes, convinced there is a serial killer at work when she meets Cole. Can Genevieve risk getting involved with a stranger who is less than honest about his past? And when Genevieve ends up the target of a sadistic killer, who will she be able to count on?

I recently read another book by Tracy Wolff, Full Exposure, and a lot of the comments I made on that review are true for Tie Me Down as well. These books aren't in a series together but both are in the Loveswept Contemporary Erotic Romance family and share several similarities. If you've read one and liked it, it's worth checking out the other.

If you’re not looking for an erotic story, I wouldn’t recommend reading Tie Me Down. The suspense story line is definitely secondary to the sexual relationship between the two main characters. This book is pretty much filled with sex. While there are BDSM elements throughout the story, primarily domination and bondage, I considered the book to be BDSM-lite. Cole is definitely an alpha, and his need and desire to control Genevieve in the bedroom starts right from the beginning and is evident in his thought process and his actions.

But the second he tasted her, he was lost. Lust rose, sharp and terrible and all-consuming, it raked its talons through his belly, got in his head and demanded that he take her. That he fuck her, again and again, until she couldn’t remember her name, let alone any man who had come before him…

…He was a man possessed, utterly enchanted by, completely addicted to the exquisite feeling he got from giving her pleasure. He could stay like this forever, his cock throbbing, his mouth buried in her hungry, sweet, incredibly responsive pussy. Making her come could be his new obsession.

Not only is Cole an alpha that wants nothing more to dominate his lover, but he's also quite the dirty talker.

“These are incredible. Sweet, responsive-“ Again he ran a finger across her nipple, again she arched against the contact, seeking more. “And so damn sexy I could spend my life right here, loving them.

“Can I do that Genevieve?” His breath was hot against her cheek, his words even hotter. “Can I suck these gorgeous nipples for hours? Can I slide my cock between your breasts and into that hot little mouth of yours? Can I come in your mouth, on your breasts? On your stomach? In that hot little ass of yours?”

“Cole!”

His breathing was coming heavier, his big body shuddering against hers as his words would their way around them both, chaining them more and more tightly together. “Can I, Genevieve? I need to be in every part of you, need to know that I’ve marked you, branded you. Claimed this hot little body of yours until all you feel is me.”

Tie Me Down is definitely a hot read and has a couple major ingredients that I always love in a book, mainly steamy sexy, a bossy alpha, and major dirty talk. It was also well written. I can't help but feeling a bit disappointed though. I've always loved the romantic suspense genre and I realize that it can be difficult to get a good balance between the suspense and the romance. For me, Tie Me Down had almost too much sex. I know, I know...I can't believe I'm saying that either! But the potential was there for this to be a much stronger suspense book than it was. In the end, it was just much more about the sex than anything else. The best romantic suspense books, even those with an erotic element, have a good mix of both.

Overall, a 3.5 STAR READ for me.

Oh Lord! I couldn’t put this book down! Such a lot of action and everything escalated so quickly, that I thought I was going to be lost, but I didn’t. And I don’t know how to say this, but I love it! I fully recommend it to anyone who loves this kind of books. Totally worth it.

The book spins around a serial killer case. The cop Genevieve Delacroix is the one in charge to solve all the cases that are related with this serial killer. While Cole Adams is searching a way to ask her to help him out in his sister case, which was closed seven years ago. What destiny does was not what they wanted. They begin a relationship based in lies and someone following them. They got so tangled that they forgot about the killer. When Genevieve life is in danger, can she runaway and save her life or try to capture this guy? The problem is Cole, he doesn’t want to risk losing Genevieve like he lost his sister. What both of them do? Can they capture the killer?

Is really impressive how everything in the puzzle fits. Every time I passed a page, I was trying to resolve the mysterious case, it was until the end that everything got in place. Other thing was this relationship between Cole and Genevieve, they care about each other. It was not only the sex, which was fantastic for both of them, but they try to console and protect each other of what is coming. Watching Cole fall apart in his mind because he doesn’t know what to do to protect Genevieve, breaks me. Plus, Genevieve making the wrong decisions was very frustrating. I love how it end. It was perfect for both of them! Totally a worth read!

Anger management, much? I'm not sure how someone who goes from electric hot in bed to smoldering fury in seconds cutting vegetables, let alone, that turning another person on. The sex was intense but he was dominant who didn't know what he was but confessed it was a control freak in him. There could have been more incentive for setting up the story, I had the serial killer pegged as soon as she finished talking to him.

The detective didn't do a lot of detecting.. she sat at her desk and sort through papers and she was exhausted from that. There was no chasing the killer, there was no story to follow, no mystery to unravel. Just her and the control freak having arguments and having sex then calling it love at the end. It was not a story up to par for me as far as solving a 7 year mystery, quite frankly, because there was no mystery.

Not What I Expected…

But it was oh so much more!

There are two genres I normally don’t read. One is horror and the other is romance with a heat level of 5 out of 5. I normally don’t like books like those because I usually found the writing monotonous where I could understand the entire story in 6 pages and be bored.

This WAS NOT such a book! Omg the story was amazing and had me glued to my seat! I never suspected who the killer was until this author was ready to reveal it and that takes talent because I’m a voracious reader who majored in English at college. So it takes a lot to have me stumped and I was so glad this story had me right until the end!

I recommend this book to anyone who loves romantic suspense and romance with a 5 out of 5 heat level.

I had issues with this book and sorry but it was a let down. There was nothing kick ass about the heroine and neither did i feel a strong deep emotion of love between these 2 and all I felt was animal lust. I didn't think that devoting more than a chapter just to describe the sex makes a book. I literally gagged when the sex scenes were almost at every chapter and I was confused as who was speaking. Ugh..I was so disappointed.

I read this a month or so ago and forgot to review it then-- but clearly it wasn't a memorable book because I picked it up for something to read today, only to discover a few pages in that I'd already read it. I can't even remember how I felt about the ending.

2.5 stars for the bits I do remember and for being so forgettable.

5 TEQUILA SHOTS to:

TIE ME DOWN

OH MY...I MEAN...WHAT THE...??? Yes, that's all I have to say about this erotic, sinful and delicious novel. I was absolutely speechless and stunned with this one. I admit that after reading the above book from the same author I was ready (or so I thought) for some more of her magic, but OH NO!!!! NO WAY, was I ready for what Ms. Wolff threw at me in this one. So as my heart begins to once again race as I remember, I beg you to hold on.

New Orleans; sultry, sinful and ripe with those who want to be bad. It's the setting for this wicked story and is as much of a character as any written. Anyone who has ever visited the city can attest to that, it's a place alive with the desire and life of those that inhabit it. I am beyond thrilled that she did one of my favorite cities such justice.

It's a southern city and even though these are modern times ole habits die hard, so Detective Genevieve Delacroix has a bitch of a time being the only homicide detective in town. I adored her, tough as nails and still feminine and fragile at heart, she deals with the worst of the worst that the Big Easy has to offer and still carries herself with confidence. Genevieve has busted her ass to be one of the best that NOPD has to offer, and she's going to need every ounce of her skill and confidence to overcome her latest case.

Professional filmmaker; Cole Adams is in New Orleans for work and for an end to his own personal hell. An end that involves the detective, only she doesn't know it. All the careful planning, all the work that the controlling and closed off man ha done is blown to hell the moment the two meet. Genevieve brings Cole to his knees with a want he never could have dreamed would exist for him. It's too dangerous to want her, to be with her, but it's even worse to try and stop the storm that's brewing.

Breathless; that's what I was. Cole's dominant nature comes through loud and clear and had me whimpering with submission along with Genevieve. He is hot, overpowering and completely focused on his prey. He left me trembling with desire, weakened and panting for more. Cole Adams is the ultimate alpha whit just enough broken boy to make you swoon. Tracy Wolff has the ultimate gift in describing naughty, angry and obsessive encounters.

Torn between her need and desire to have Cole master her body and remaining in control herself, Genevieve is in a constant battle. She can't cave to this man, she can't give in now. Not when the case of her life has come full circle and the madman has drawn a bulls eye right on her. How well does she really know Cole, how much does she really know about anyone really? As the killer's noose tightens around her the fear she carries threatens to push Cole away and tear apart something that she isn't quite ready to acknowledge. Can two dominant people learn to bend to each other?

Yes, this story is filled with suspense and danger (some gore too), but it's the combination of that danger and the explosive passion between the two leads that snared me. I literally read from start to finish in one night. I COULD NOT PUT THE DAMN BOOK DOWN! Each new clue drew me in farther to the investigation, while each new encounter between the two had sweat building on my brow and tension building elsewhere. Large hands, bruised wrists, love bites and deliciously sore muscles all swirled and bubbled together to form a direct punch to the heart.

Yep, the heart. Yes this is a super naughty, dark story but it's also full of heart. I felt Cole's pain and anguish. Genevieve's fear, trepidation and sorrow was a knot in my stomach. The battle these two waged between themselves and the world was frustrating and infuriating at times, but the end was so worth it. I don't do spoilers, but I will say that I was so not ready for who the killer was! I was however ready for the HEA. This was a couple that I really pulled for, that I wanted to have peace and to find love.

I am sorry that I have been unable to quote from either story, but the proofs I received were not finalized and so I was given a big fat NO! I wish I could tempt and tease you with the sultry, sexy words I read. I wish I could give you a glimpse of the deep fear that I experienced. BUT, since I can't you'll just have to run out and grab FULL EXPOSURE & TIE ME DOWN by TRACY WOLFF for yourselves. I promise that it will be so worth it. Just remember to make sure you've cleared your schedule, because once you start you won't want to stop until every last ounce of pleasure has been squeezed from you!

Ok... I tried. I really did. But no matter how much I tried to keep pushing through I just couldn't, which further upsets me because I HATE leaving a book unfinished. Like seriously...

The premise of the book sounded great. Genevieve is a hard ass cop, trying to fit in with the district of male cops. She has support from most but not with her Lt who seems to want to disregard and belittle her in anyway possible. Cole is a filmmaker who is trying to uncover the truth of who killed his half sister Samantha and believes Genevieve is the person who can help. I loved the idea that . But I just felt like the Author really grazed the top of all her characters story without having to delve deep into the root of why they are who they are.

As mentioned, I couldn't finish it, so I can't say that she did explore that towards the end of the book. But when I get to a certain point I have an understanding of how the characters think, why they act the way they do and why they react in certain ways, but I never got that here. I think one of those reasons was how the author contradicted herself throughout the parts I did read. I just couldn't get my head around it.

The writing was very basic, and it could have still worked, but I had noticed a pattern she tended to use which, for some reason, would irritate me because she did it so often. Describing a particular scene, or a movement, or whatever, she had to describe it in threes:

"She gasped, begging for mercy, but he had none as he bit and licked, sucked and nuzzled her into her most intense orgasm of her life"

"She convulsed again and again, wave after wavy of ecstasy shooting through her, sizziling along her nerve endings, lighting her up like a bottle rocket until she was flying, soaring into the endless night sky."

It feels as thought she's trying to convince me how good it is by trying to use every possible explanation in the book, and ever time I read it I just think 'Seriously?"

In saying that, the sex scenes were pretty hot... once you got over the amount of details included. I don't know about you, but I like the sex scenes to be hot, fast with a bit of detail. A few times I've read through a few paragraphs and realised that nothing had moved forward yet. Why was there not this amount of detail into the rest of the story? Was the story a filler for the sex scenes? Cause that's how it felt. Too detailed for sex and not enough detail for a story, which is a shame cause I really think this would have been amazing if the focus had shifted more on the story line.

Overall, I wasn't too impressed, but I'm hoping maybe I hit a bad book out of her other novels, so I'll just sit back, regroup (read other books) and come back when I'm ready again.

Get ready for an erotic, suspenseful ride. This story draws you in from the start and keeps you turning the pages till the end.

Take one tough female cop who has to prove her competence and keep control at work, add a domineering male lead who needs to be in control on and off the bedroom and you have a battle of wills and some explosively erotic scenes. Mix in a serial killer who has the bulls-eye aimed at Genevieve and this story ramps up with suspense.

Genevieve is a likeable character. I sympathised when she was being treated badly by her boss. But I got annoyed with her for allowing Cole to control her the way he did sometimes. For a cop who was supposed to be hard as nails and sensible, she had no qualms jumping into a stranger's bed and letting him giving him free rein over her body when there was a killer running loose, especially when he was refusing to give her very basic information about himself. This made her seem insensible and at a clash with the kind of character she was supposed to be.

The love scenes were written beautifully and jam-packed with emotions. The chemistry between Cole and Genevieve was sexy white hot. But honestly, I think the author over-did the sex scenes, if that's at all possible. There were just too many fully described sex scenes, in my opinion, and they overshadowed some of the suspense in the plot. By the third scene I began skim-reading them. I know, this is an erotic romance and I read plenty of those, by the way. But each scene has to bring something new about the characters to the reader. We need to see the characters grow, in their sexual journey or in their personal life in each interaction. This wasn't the case here. It kind of felt repetitive and gratuitous.

However, two things rescued this story for me. First was the showdown and revelation of the villain. I love the way this was delivered and the loose ends tied together. I had my suspicions about the serial killer and was at the edge of my seat when he was revealed. Also Cole's role in this scene was nicely done.

The final love scene between Genevieve and Cole was absolutely beautiful and restored my faith in Genevieve. Her payback totally made up for all of Cole's previous actions. I don't mind a domineering hero as long as the heroine gets her own back. If I were her I'd be doing it again and again, he would have to sleep with one eye open. LOL.

All in all, this is a great book, packed with suspense and sizzling romance. I totally loved this author's writing style and will be hunting down more of her books. If you enjoy erotic romance or romantic suspense, go and pick up a copy.

Genevieve is a New Orleans homicide detective. She is great at her job and fighting hard to be taken seriously in a mans world. She is working a string of sexual murders when she goes to a bar to unwind after her shift. There, she meets Cole.

Cole has come to New Orleans to find the perfect cop to help him solve his sisters cold case homicide and after researching Genevieve, he knows he has found that cop. The more time he spends learning about her and watching her, the more attracted he becomes to her and when she offers to buy him a drink in the bar, he can't help feeling like she is offering so much more.

Genevieve and Cole are just starting to explore their relationship when the case she is working becomes personal and the killer sets his sights on her. Can Cole be with a woman who does what Genevieve has to do and can Genevieve find who is killing before he comes for her?

First I want to start by saying that before you read this book, know that it is a fantasy. That's why we read romance novels right? To escape reality? So, I say that because there is a lot of sex in this book...and by a lot, I mean, they spend more time having sex than anything else. The sex scenes are HOT...but a total fantasy. Just go into it knowing that, and you will enjoy it more.

Other than the hot sex, the story was just ok for me. Pretty predictable, I figured out who the killer was right away, and there is not a lot of development of Cole and Genevieve.

My thoughts:

Character development: 3
Level of Romance between characters: 3.5
Passion/Heat level: 5 (two words, smokin hot!)
Angst/Heartbreak: 3.5(a little bit of heartbreak with Coles sisters story but otherwise, they are together as a couple the entire book)
Cliffhanger?: Not really a cliffhanger but it just kind of ends. Parts of the story are wrapped up, but some of it is never answered. I am not sure if this was meant to be the first in a series but it is definitely left open for another book.

Overall, I liked it but I didn't love it. A little more time spent on each of the main characters development would have made this a love it for me. But, if you are in the mood for some really hot sex scenes, this is the book for you.

"Tie me Down " is an erotic romance with some BDSM , sizzling hot sex scenes, intrigue and a serial killer on the loose, plenty to keep you intrested.

Gennavive Delacroix is a homicide detective in New Orleans investigating a string of brutal rape and serial murders of Women in the French Quarter. Though the story starts with a focus on the murders the main story is about the all consuming affair between these two ,Cole's overwhelming need to control. Dominated and mark Gennavive as his. For Gennavive relinquishing control isthe hardest thing to do but the absolute pleasure Cole brings to her assh surrenders to his domination and experimentation with, Japanese bondage. Hot kinky kitchen sex , o hell just pick a room any room sex.
Unfortunately the murderer has become fixated on Gennavive over the course of the story and is committing murders more frequently and brutally to garner her Trenton at the same time as invading her private life and placing her in danger for which Cole blames himself and the dominant in him seeks to protect her causing strain on and off in the relationship.
Will Gennavive catch this killer? Will the killer get to Gennavive? Will her and Cole's relationship survive ?
All these questions will be answered in a pretty revealing way in th end!

Going into Tie Me Down I wasn’t sure what to expect. The books I read fall into 2 categories.. Either books that are super popular that I have an idea about the plot going into it or books I pick based on either the genre, cover or maybe even just the title or author. In this case it was a combination of both the title and the cover. After a quick check on Goodreads I saw that it was an erotica with BDSM. I didn’t however notice the fact that it would be a suspense and thriller too! I was so surprised at what a fun read this was! It was so refreshing from most of the contemporary reads I’ve been into lately where I can usually figure out where the story is going to end up before I’m even half way through the book. The main character Genevieve is the only female homicide in the French Quarter and stumbles upon a serial kill who is infatuated with her.

The first few chapters are pretty much a sex fest between Genevieve and Cole and I was worried that that was all that was going to happen but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll give it to the author the the sex was hot! They are both pretty stubborn and there were a few instances where I wanted to yell at them to get their shit together and get over them selves. Cole with being a stubborn jerk who didn’t want to open up and Genevieve with her constant ignoring signs it got a little frustrating at times but I really did enjoy this read. It was a lot of fun and every time I thought I had it figured out something else popped up and had me questioning everything that I was thinking!

I’d totally recommend this to other people its opened me up to this whole murder mystery genre I’d never read before and I can’t wait to get to some more!

Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

OMG…one of the hottest…sexiest books I have read this year. This book was fabulous!

Genevieve Delacroix is a homicide detective in New Orleans and she is the only woman in the department. She is under a lot of stress as there appears to be a serial killer on the loose in her district. One evening she heads to a local bar to relax with a drink. She ends up finding handsome Cole Adams at the bar. Against her better judgment she gives into Cole and spends the night with him.

Cole has been looking into Genevieve for a while now. He believes that she is the only one that can help him solve the murder of his sister. Cole is a successful director and he is in New Orleans to film a documentary on sex and violence.

I found Genevieve to be a great character. She is a tough-kick ass cop but still a feminine woman. It’s an interesting combination and one that really works. Gosh…Cole is fine. He is arrogant, determined and just so HOT! I loved the times when he and Genevieve were together. Their relationship became hot and heavy so quickly. And together they were HOT!!! I so did not see the dominant side of Cole. Cole pushes Genevieve in her sexuality each time they are together. Genevieve is nervous at first but actually blooms under Cole’s hands.

While Genevieve and Cole work through their relationship they also have to locate the serial killer that begins to target Genevieve. The book has a great plot that kept me reading and not wanting to put the story down. I had my thoughts on who the serial killer was and I was right! It was interesting how the author put it all together.

I could totally see a series of books based on Genevieve and Cole. If you are looking for a scorching hot book Tie Me Down is it!

I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review

I have been excited to read the last few books by Ms. Tracy Wolff.. the last few have made me want to read more of her, the connection that she gives her characters is great, the location for this book is wonderful, The French Quarter in New Orleans.

There is a Serial Killer on the lose killing women and leaving them different places in The French Quarter so that Homicide Detective Genevieve Delacroix is not only tough as nails, has a great closing case rate, but also is the only Female Homicide Det in New Orleans. seems like the women she is finding all have something in common but she can't quiet figure it out. Being the only woman in a "mans" world. she has taken her share of talking by hind her back, the comments not quiet being said loud but still heard. she doesn't really get along with her LT. Chastian.

Cole Adams knows going back to New Orleans of his newest documentary is a chance, he hasn't been back since the murder of his sister 7 years ago, but he is coming back for two reasons, 1) get Homicide Det. Genevieve Delacroix to reopen/look into his sister murder. 2) make a documentary about sexual violence and how it can bring pleasure and pain which can lead to murder. the only problem is he never thought he would fall in love with the Genevieve. he isn't really sure that he is able to love, but he knows that when a killer is sending her presents, and calling her, and sharing pictures of them and coming after her, he knows that he will do everything in her power to protect her.

Thank you Ms. Tracy Wolff for giving us a wonderful story that took us as readers on an adventure in the French Quarter and in Cole and Genevieve's Roller coaster of a relationship!

It could have been so much more. There were just to many orgasms to count. There was a good story here, great characters, but just a little to heavy on the erotica.

We have a tough as nails female Detective, only female homicide detective in the French Quarter, Genevieve Delacroix. Then we have sexy, tortured, dominant, 100% alpha-male, Cole Adams. When they meet they have a chemistry that is instantanious, and literally from the begining it's non-stop orgasms.

It turns out that Cole is in New Orleans searching for Genevive. Having researched her thoroughly he has come to ask her for help in reopening his sister's murder case from seven years ago. Thats what he's so tortured about, his sister's murder. Genevieve has already figured out Cole's real reason for being there but has decided to wait until he trust her enough to come out and tell her about his sister and ask for the help he needs. In the mean time she is hunting down a serial killer of women. The killer takes these women, rapes them, then tortures them in unspeakable ways. Now he is fixated on Genevieve.

In the end Cole and Genevieve fall in love, the killer is caught, and Cole's sister's case is left open with promises of catching her killer. I thought that part of the story fell flat. They thought the killer they were after was the same as Cole's sister's but it wasn't and it was like done, the end, no more info for you.

In the end I liked the sex, but maybe tone it down a little, realistically I don't think even porn stars can have that much sex/orgasms.

What to say about this book?

Genevieve is a strong and independent homicide detective. She is the only female in homicide and has to take heat from the LT from time to time because of it. Does she let this bring her down. Hell No. She has an awesome partner, Shawn who works perfectly with her.

After a long day of working cases she heads to the bar where she meets Cole and goes home with him.

Ohh how to explain Cole? HOT is the first thing that comes to mind. Sexy, demanding, domineering, sweet at times but most of all HOT. He is there to try and get Genevieve to open an old case. His sisters death from seven years before. What he didn’t expect was the chemistry between the two and the overpowering need to possess her.

During the ups and downs of their relationship Genevieve has dead girls popping up through her district. While trying to track down the killer and deal with her feelings for Cole, the killer fixates on Genevieve. Makes calls, emails, and sends gifts. Freaky.

This book was great. I absolutely love erotica. My only complaint was this book seemed to be more about the sex when I personally like a lot more story to go along with the sex. It felt like you got a long sex scene then a short life scene then back to the long sex scene. I would of just like more story behind all the sex. Now do not get me wrong. I LOVED the sex. It was hot and steamy and not to crazy. :) .

This book is erotica and thriller wrapped into one. Which I love. It did keep you on the edge of the seat till the end to find out what next and who.. I have to admit I thought Shawn. ;) . If you love erotica with some other heart racing things going on then grab this book. You will love it.

A highly erotic book with a decent underlying suspense story. Unfortunately for me, the book was out of balance, heavily favouring the erotic sequences which were descriptive in great detail. It was almost as if the remainder of the book was written to tie one erotic sequence to the other, with much less detail and inner dialogue description. Because the suspense topic was such an intense one, it felt it didn't get the 'due' it deserved.

Perhaps because of that, I had a hard time finding the characters credible. They seemed so completely absorbed and consumed by sexual desire and hunger at all times, that everything else disappeared. It just doesn't seem like a realistic condition for a man who has done nothing but be obsessed with his sister's death, or a woman whose dedication to her job was absolute, prior to meeting each other.

The interpretation of what can almost be described as a switch dominant/submissive relationship seemed, if anything, rather erratic and rooted in frustration and anger, and that didn't sit well with me. Not that I know a whole lot about the lifestyle, but it sure felt like a slippery slope and left me slightly uncomfortable.

On the whole, the writing is good, the story certainly has enough potential and if it had more balance and a better rhythm, I would rate it higher.

✨The search for sexual fulfillment and a serial killer!✨

It seems like a 3 star rating doesn't do this book justice, but I can't elevate it to a 4 star read cause it doesn't have that lasting feel to it that would incline me to revisit at a later date.

First and foremost, this is a very well written book. I didn't have any quality issues to be concerned about and the plot and story flowed very well. The two main characters meet very suddenly early on in the book and wham bam let the sex-fest begin. This book has plenty of steam, light BDSM, alpha bedroom undertones, and great chemistry (descriptions were fab!) The plot unravels very quickly and it seems like my heart was racing the entire length - either from the love scenes or the suspense of trying to find a killer. I wish there had been a break here or there to help solidify the H/h relationship (rarely do I say there is too much sex but in this case there was), missed seeing them have much in common or constituting a relationship outside of the bedroom. If author had spent as much time further flushing out the character development as she did with the plot, I likely would have zero complaints. Things on the whole just seemed a bit rushed to reach the conclusion.

But author definitely has talent and nice to see the diversity of her plot lines having read some of her other works which were equally enjoyable. Would recommend to friends.
